worst ever
we purchased a recliner/couch in June and in Dec it broke. was told the earliest repair date Feb 8, Feb 7 I called and was told Repair person sick had to reschedule for Feb 28, Feb 28 could not make and now no reschedule date. Unfinished business and no couch. It is the only piece of furniture in our apartment. Worst set of lies and misleading stories ever told to us. I Will NEVER buy any Lazy Boy Ever again.
Worst product and customer Service EVER
Puchases a 4 piece sectional. One piece had a flaw in the fabric. That was in October and it is now almost March still not fixed. Lied to from everyone from the store, to customer service to corporate. Bottom line DON'T BUY LAZY BOY, worst company EVER!
Chair-lift Recliner
We purchased a chair lift recliner in 2009. It has been in for repairs NUMEROUS times. HORRIBLE PRODUCT & HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Corporate customer service is no better. I really would expect more from a company like La-Z-Boy. Will NEVER purchase from La-Z-Boy again, OR will I ever refer your product to friends or family. I wouldn't give your rating a 1.4. You get a '0' from me.
I purchased a leather sofa and love seat from La-Z-Boy and both have horrible workmenship on them. After 4 months I am still trying to get them repaired. Someone should check the factory. Very Disappointed and unhappy with my purchase. Will not be buying from La-Z-Boy again. What a run around the customer service gives you. Just AWFUL.
Consumer
I have a lazy boy leather recliner and I am disappointed at how it has held up. I have just scheduled my second service repair. The first trip the service tech repaired one of the arms that had gone flat on the top. Unfortunately he didn't have the right part and the the arm is getting flat on top again. In addition one of the wings is loose. I have received the parts and have scheduled the next visit. I guess it's good that it's getting repaired, but I bought lazy boy because I thought it was the best and would last. I paid $1100 for the chair and after this visit I will have paid $300 for the service. I'm am disappointed and wil probsably not buy another Lazy Boy
terrible repair service
Two of my recliners, one less than year old,and one brand new needed repairs.Waited two weeks, just to have repair man,put in new foam and throw away part that was sent and had no idea, what to do,with it.The second chair diagnosis, was we just plain and simple bought the wrong motorized chair(3 Weeks old).To skip to end, that was October, now end of February, and chairs still not fixed.Buy product at own risk.
Definitely earned the 1.4 rating
I have been trying for two weeks now to even speak to a person regarding service for my Lazy Boy recliner that dropped a bolt. Once they get your money, they suck!!
Poor Policy
We purchased a lift-chair for my elderly mother that has fractured pelvis and back issues thinking this chair would be good for her. She is a short lady so after two days she could not use the chair because of the size of it. We went to the store to return it and we have to pay a 30% restocking fee, the stain guard and delivery totaling out to over $600 dollars to return the chair after two days! PLUS I have to take the chair in they will not pick it up unless its another $99 fee. This is outrageous! Never will shop there again. Make sure you purchase what you want and don’t want to return it because it will cost you a lot to do so!
Still waiting after over 7 months
Short version, we ordered a couch and loveseat in June, after 10 weeks they told us that material was delayed. We picked out another material. They were delivered in November with a cut in the couch and the foam was too far back on the arm. The loveseat and 1 pillow had black spots in the material. Two men and the delivery man at different times came out to take pictures. They decided they would "fix" the couch and put a "rush" order on a new loveseat. (as of Feb.7th we still don't have the loveseat.) Man came Feb 1st to fix the couch and said it would look worse if he did it and we should order a new couch. Left messages with man who was suppose to help us in customer service and he wouldn't call back. Finally got a lady in customer service today and she is suppose to help us but got a little huffy when we tried to explain that we have been waiting over 7 months to get our furniture right. I am trying to find the address to the president of the company. Have contacted 6 on your side, getting ready to call credit card company and Better Business Bureau. This is crazy. We will never go there again. I don't know who took over this place but it is nothing like it use to be. We bought plenty of quality furniture from them in the past with no problems, but the new owners are terrible. For warned is for armed.
Poor Customer Service
Bought a $2000 top of the line, special order leather recliner from the store in Scarsdale, NY. Happened to call the store on Saturday to see the status of the order & found out the chair came in on Friday. But their credit card machine was down so delivery could not be processed. Called back Sunday, Monday & Tuesday. On the phone for a min of 10-15 min each call. No one from the store called me back to process the credit card payment, After two more calls on Tuesday, finally the store manager called me back at 1:20pm to finalize the order. Worst customer service, poorly mishandled.
Service Rating
I purchased a new recliner in December-2012 which arrived with a broken arm. They sent a repairman to look at it & he had them order a new arm. It took a month for the arm to arrive & two weeks later a repairman came to fix it. During that process, the repairman broke the back of the chair. Now the corporate office is refusing to give me a new chair. Instead they are supposed to send a different repairman to my house to look at the chair again & decide what to fix next. I have done a lot of business with Lazy Boy in Merrillville, IN. Thank God none of the other furniture was broken. I can't imagine having to go through this again. I am so dissapointed because they sold me a brand new broken chair and think it's o.k. to correct this problem in such an unprofessional way.
No Cushions Yet
I purchased replacement cushions on 01/02/13 for a sofa bought in March 2007. Today is 01/31/13 and I have not received the cushions yet. How long does it take to cut foam? Would it take this long for Brooke Shields to receive some cushions?
poor sales, poor service
Ordered a recliner. Received a defective one. Took 2 weeks for a repair person to come out. Told me after 2 MORE weeks chair needed to be replaced. Finally after a month got it replaced. New chair is not a swivel. Old chair was. Refused to exchange. Said I did not pay for a swivel. Sales person never offered me any options so I thought the price I paid was for a swivel. They sales manager was very rude and not willing to compromise or understand my situation. There are too many furniture stores out there. Go somewhere else!
Shoddy service
I waited 10 weeks for my sofa to be delivered. WHen the store called, they gave me a very inconvenient delivery window, which they refused to modify. When the sofa was delivered, it had several exposed looped threads extending from the back pillows that put into question the integrity of the quality of the sewing. It was also covered with little white bits of packing or something unidentifiable. The delivery men attempted to clean the sofa but did a very poor job. I called the store to complain, and they said they could send someone out in a week to check the problems. Again, I was given a very inconvenient time window. When the technician came to my home, he was very rude, insisted that the debris on the sofa was the fault of the delivery and not from the store. He cleaned the sofa with a brush, but since he removed the throw pillows before he cleaned it, he neglected to clean the throw pillows. I called the customer service phone number he gave me and they said they would have him come back to finish the job, but I never heard from him. I paid a lot of money for a sofa from what I alway supposed was a reputable company, and I am distressed to say that I am very unsatisfied with resulting service. I will never be purchasing anything from your company again!
still waiting!!
Ordered a love seat and couch on October 3rd and its January 14th and we have yet to receive our furntiure!! We called the store, the manager Terry was there 3 days in a row and were told he's to busy right now he will call you back, never called!! What horrible customer service!! Still waiting on an answer from them. I will never buy anything from Lazy boy again!!
No Delivery of purchase
Ordered a Queen Anne recliner on October 13th 2012. It's January 10th 2013 and I have no chair. The store consultant is clueless and becoming very unhelpful and irritated sounding each week I call to inquire about my chair. Oh, I paid in full at the time of purchase. A BIG mistake! This company should not be in business. More people should read reviews before making a purchase. Myself included. What a disaster!
Slumber Air Mattress - Worthless
About 10 years ago, I purchased a slumber air queen-sized sofa bed. 10 years later, still the same mattress...great. Less then 2 years ago, I purchased 2 queen slumber air sofas for my mom's house. So far, I'm on the 4th mattress for the Keifer and 2nd on the Daphne. The runaround is all I get from service staff, save one. I explained to the sales person, very definitively, before purchase that one would be used 2 nights per week and the other 2-3 nights per month. The salesman assured me that this use, if not more, would be fine performance. Now they want almost $400.00 each to replace the air mattresses. Now that they are both deflating....Do Coleman or Aerobed mattresses fit? I guess my lawyer will find out.
CUSTOMER CARE
EXCELLENT...Brittney was so supportive and helpful to me. Had the worst experience at the store at Refugee and Hamilton Road. The manager was an idiot and was so unprofessional that I could have slapped him in the face. Brittney was so wonderful and told me she would take care of the situation and call me back. This was over a recliner. The manager needs to be fired or demoted to cleaning the bathrooms...he should never be around people. This is only to let people know that LAZYBOY CORP is totally professional and they do care about the customer. To bad that they have a manager that does not.
I came here looking to say that your commercials are decieving I was torn between getting two different sets of furniture, and after reading everyone's review I am glad I walked out of the store, I wanted to special order a color as I have dogs and cats, and did not like the white it came in or the light beige, I wanted something a little darker so when they told me I was right than and there going to have to put down half of the price I was like wow I hadn't planned on that, and I was going to put some money down but not half and we walked out now after reading all of your reviews I am so glad we walked out, We had a lasy boy couch and two chairs and which have heald up but after many years of use the material is worn but they lasted for so many years, so that is why I was going to get the lasy boy furniture again, but now I have changed my mind to this one. Not ordering anything from them and not putting any money down on something until it is in my house, thanks to all the good people on here for letting me know what a rip off Lasy boy has come too, so sad they changed, and their stuff is not holding up, I waked out because something just told me not to put down that kind of money and I am glad my instincts were right.
Very satisfied with fast and courteous service I received from La-Z-Boy reps, especially Heather of Corporate Headquarters, regarding repairing my recliner. I will definitely shop at La-Z-Boy again!
