I will post on Facebook and any other site that before you buy a product, go into the store and read the return policy on the product...3 days is not acceptible. and the your 30 percent back return policy is not acceptible either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my husband and I recently purchased a lazboy couch and loveseat. the day is was delivered we noticed a tear in the cushion. also one chair would not fully recline. long story short, someone came out and ordered new cushion and parts to fix recliner. I later found another tear on cushion near arm rest. I called corporate and told them I wanted the couch replaced. basically was told it could be sewn. I said if you purchased a dress and got it home and there was a tear in it, would you be satisfied with the store seamstress repairing it. I am now dealing with the salesman we bought it from and he said that the manager has referred this to the corporate office. After reading all these complaints (should have read them before purchase), I don't hold out high hopes of lazboy doing the right thing. I too always thought they were a good company and thought it would be better to buy USA made products rather than CHINA. (I'm not so sure about that now) My question is how can a company like this have so many complaints and the BBB does nothing about it??

I purchased a sectional and recliner from Lazy Boy 10 years ago with a additonal warranty on it. Within the first year the leather started coming off on the couch. You would sit on it and it would be all over your clothes not to say it would shed all over the floor. We contacted them within the first year and they said they couldnt do anything about it.The couch has also had rotten wood it was made from and crooked nails. We have been fighting with LAZY BOY for years now.Customer Service is a complete joke, you tell them they just lost a customer and they just said OH WELL! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO LAZY BOY EVER AGAIN! I will pass the word to all my friends and family to not use lazy boy.Over 4000 dollars we spent on the furniture and no help at all. I guess it says it all in the name LAZY to fix the problems. I will be contacting the local news to spread the word in my community.I hope that someone reads this and helps them to decide not to even take one step into Lazy Boy,once they take your money they are no longer friendly to you.

We bought a settee and chair from ScS and the assistant did`nt tell us that the spec on the Colorado manual and electric was different. For two months I couldnt understand why my feet were off the floor, and I had back problems. I have spent huundreds of pounds to see a chiropractor, Physiothearapist, and had acupuncture. We have been constantly in touch with ScS by phone, and e-mail, and we are having to resort to court action. ScS have been obstructive and not at all helpful, and I was even asked by one telephonist, why didnt I ask if there was a difference. When I buy a settee that is manual as opposed to electric, and I was sold the manual by the assistant whilst sititing comfortably on the electrically powered settee, and they both have the same name, why would I think there would be a difference is the specifications. If I knew that, then I would be working there. Needless to say, I am unhappy with my furniture, and ScS.

I'm have pillows stuffed inside it now in an attempt to get some kind of support. The dry has run on the left back rest and now the foot rest breaks, what happened to quality control. It hasn't even lasted two years......... This La-Z-Boy leather sectional has been nothing but trouble from the start. You buy a product from a well known company and add on the 7 year extended warranty and you end up with CRAP. The you tell me I can pay to have it FIXED Nice, really nice I wonder how others will think of this story From: Shena Carter <shena.ca@care.magiseal.com> To: "mhartt@yahoo.com" <mhartt@yahoo.com> Sent: Friday, July 15, 2011 11:10 AM Subject: La-Z-Boy Furniture Hi Mark, Please find attached photos of your leather sectional purchased from La-Z-Boy Furniture. I'm extremely disappointed in the La-Z-Boy love seat recliner I purchased for more than $1,500 (including tax). My fiancee and I went with a La-Z-Boy because the previous brand we had purchased have given us both back pain. At the La-Z-Boy store, we were assured that the model we were buying was top-of-the-line, and we believed them because of the price. We were told it provided firm back support. When the chair arrived, we sat in it for a few days and were satisfied with the back support. However, the chair had another set of problems that were just as bad. The foot rest that lifts outward when the chair reclines has a solid piece of wood across the middle right where my shin falls, and right where I would normally rest my feet if sitting with my knees up. It's extremely uncomfortable and invariably painful because my shins and/or feet press down on the edge of the wood instead of on a fluffy, cushioned surface. If I sit in the chair for more than a few minutes, I have to curl up my legs under me and not use the footrest at all -- which of course defeats the entire purpose of a recliner. What's amazing is that the middle part of the footrest consists of nothing more than a thin, wobbly piece of foam that sags so low that it provides absolutely no buffer between my legs and the hard edge of the wood. Whoever designed this chair should be sent packing. It's a disaster. I called the store and they gave me a number to call with my concerns. They sent out a guy who looked the chair over and told me that's the way they're made and, well, tough luck. I wanted to return the chair but they wouldn't hear of it. So here I am, stuck with a brand new, $1,500 La-Z-Boy love seat recliner that neither I nor my fiancee can use for more than 15 minutes at a time before the wood starts hurting our legs. This is comfort? Far from it. I'm amazed that this is what you get from what is supposed to be America's leading recliner manufacturer. Amazing that they can get away with this. I will never buy another product from them again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. This company won't last -- nor should it -- if they continue to operate this way.

I bought a recliner from Lazy-Boy because of name and reputation. When my recliner arrived it was way too big for me, much larger than the one I tried at the store. I contacted Lazy-Boy. After much persistence on my part they replaced the back (that had my head pushed down to my chin). This did not help the problem of my feet no reaching the floor when I sat in the chair. I wrote letters, called, emailed. All I got was... "So sad, too bad. We have your money, tuff stuff! I will do ALL I can to discourage anyone that I know from purchasing from Lazy-Boy.

It looks like writing these reviews does not at all affect the La z boy corporate way of doing business, but I feel I need to add my name to the list of totally disgusted customers. I might add this is the very first time I have ever been treated so poorly that I feel the need to comment on any company and hopefully save others from the same feeling of frustration and disappointment!!!! Like many of the prior reviews I too bought La z boy because of having furniture in the past that has exceeded my expectations....why wouldn't I continue to buy....BIG MISTAKE...the present La z boy product in no way, shape, or form resembles the product of old. This is a completely different company, which couldn't be further from the old. Absolutely no service from the salesperson, store manage (Greenfield, WI) I can't even get through to the store...goes right to recording for customer sevice...(what's with that?)customer service rep or "supervisor"...My advice is to let everyone you know know about the total lack of quality and service.....I intend to explore ways to get this word out to the general public ....it's just not right that a company should operate in this fashion....

We know that our sofas are old, nevertheless we wanted to know if anything could be done. The springs are so bad that our cushions now have holes on all corners from exposed wires. The customer care representive was very rude. Telling me what other companies would cover. I thanked her and asked her for her name. She thanked me as well and ignored my question. So this time I yelled out "what is your name??". Still no name just completed her sentence and ended the call. I have always recommended Lazy boy, now your customer service department has changed my mind. Just a small suggestion maybe you should record your calls.

I would really like to know what has happened to the quality of your furniture, we had purchased 2 recliners about 8years ago and never had a problem with them, so we decided to purchased 2 new ones what a mistake. The rocker recliner cracks and squeaks as soon as you start to rock in it. We have called customer services and they sent out a tech to look at it and adjusted the back it stopped for about an hour the it did the same thing, so we called again, well to make it short they have been out 5 times with no good results, so I call customer services again and asked to please refund my money or give me a new chair, they said they would look into it, well we have not heard from them is this really a way to serve your cutomers? Lost a customer

I am glad that I found this site however I haven't called lazy boy yet because i needed the number so that is how I found all these comments and now I am scared... in 2006 my niece bought a laz-boy lift chair for me I have a bone diease and was getting ready to have my 5th hip replacement which ended up be a total of 3 surgerys well long story short I loved this chair for 8 months I lived in it because I couldn't walk well any who this past week the chair started acting up going up and down on it;s owe with out me using the remote or if i shake the remote it will go up on it;s owen well tonite was the last straw I walked out of the room and the chair went up and I couldn't get it to go down so I hope that I can get a repair person to fix it I think there is a short in the remote I tried to unplug it to try to reset but no luck my sister told me that a few of her clients family members have had the same problem as anyone eles? and what can be done thanks for listens you can e-mail me at Scooter329@comcast.net if anyone knows what or who I contact....

I purchased a sectional from Lazy Boy 4 yrs ago. Big, big mistake. Our previous sectional lasted 10 yrs thru the years our kids were growing up and jumping all over the furniture. With the Lazy Boy sectional a section collapsed in under 4 yrs. Lazy Boy gave me an authorized rep who came out and made a repair. Within 6 months same problem. Both the rep and Lazy Boy say they dont warrantee labor and wont help. The rest of the sectional shows wear and tear like it is 10 years old. They have no committment to quality or customer satisfaction. The rep is Suncoast Services in the Jacksonville Florida area. I guess now I know why their stores keep closing.

YOU CAN'T TRUST THEM OR WHAT THEY TELL YOU..... SO WATCH YOURSELF...I PURCHASED A RECLINER AND LETS FACE IT THERE NOT CHEAP. WENT TO PICK IT UP AND THREAD WAS COMMING OFF THE SIDE, PULLED IT AND STARTED TO UNRAVEL STICHING.... TOLD ME 3 MORE WERE DUE IN AND ARE LATE ANY DAY. I WAS TOLD THEY WILL RESERVE ONE WITH MY NAME. A WEEK WENT BY AND I CALLED TO CHECK ON IT I WAS TOLD NOPE THEY DID NOT RESERVE ON THAT DAY AND NOW WONT GET IN FOR ANOTHER 3-4 WEEKS. THATS THEY BEST THEY CAN DO. IT WAS PAID FOR IN FULL OF COURSE AND NOW I AM REQUESTING TO BE CREDITED FOR THEIR LACK OF COMMITMENT THEY MADE TO ME AND FOR NOT DOING WHAT THEY SAID..... IN TODAYS ECOMOMY YOU WOULD THINK COMPANIES WOULD BE DOING THERE BEST TO KEEP CUSTOMERS HAPPY. SO WHO KNOWS HOW LONG LAZY BOY WILL BE AROUND????????????????????? SO YOU KNOW THE PURCHASE WAS MADE IN SACRAMENTO CA ON WATT AVE. THEY ARE A FRANCHISE AND OWN THE ONE IN ROSEVELL AND ELKGROVE ALSO.... I WOULD STEER CLEAR OF THEIR LAZY COMMITMENT TO SERVICE....

LAZY Boy is the worst company. Custmer services is not good at all. DO NOT BUY ANY LAZY BOY furniture in your life. We purchased new sofa in Nov store tolds be deliver your sofa in 6 to 8 weeks. first it took 3 months to deliver and now in more then year old recliners is not working properly. i calld for reapir LAZY BOY wants $200 more to repair. when you buy sofa for $5K and not work in 14 months. it is a bed workmanship.Local custmer service did not help in anyway. NEVER NEVER NEVER BUY LAZY BOY FURNITURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do not buy from Lazy Boy. Their customer service stinks and if you have a problem they are rude. Their quality control is zero and, basically, their products are a pice of junk as one other poster declared. Bad Bad Bad

We purchased a sofa and chair with the 'additional protection plan.' the problem with this set is that 'we sat on it!' The leather is spray painted and not tanned all the way through. (I had a friend who knows leather look at it) DO NOT BUY from them ,,,I sent c service pictures and they said that it was due to undue wear and tear! Ha, I will blog this to death. My sofa in the rec room from Macy's clearance looks brand new and it is 10x older and in a room that actually gets used. NEVER AGAIN !

We had stopped at your store in Glendale, AZ. She gave me the Corporate Number to where I was informed That we only had a 1 yr. warranty on the fabric. Our furniture was delivered on 8-13-2009. I was then to to call back the store in Glendale Arizona to which a very rude man, told me it would cost us $60.00 for pic-up and an additional $60.00 for re-delivery, plus some outrageous amount to repair it. So where is the warranty

After reading the latest quarterly phone conference I'm wondering if the "buy american" Sales pitch in the stores and elsewhere will face f.c.c. review based on a loosely understood operational contracting outsourcing out to Mexico for "cut and sew services"? and blow out the $20 million ad campaign with Ms. B.Shields and how her pr.team will feel once the her name comes up being associated with a Company not only outsourcing but trying underhanded methods to squeeze even MORE savings out of that operation amazing I doubt the workers have medical let alone have adults working there. AND finding out in that same call they La z Boy Corp. in attempts to keep claims down in relations to "specialty" products do they mean heavy duty recliners for heavy set people? or all of the above includes electric recliners as well? that there is a part or mechanical part that was switched out at a higher cost to clamp down the claims rate so it makes me wonder if MY chair is one in the same product?. I bought a recliner heavy duty and with a five year plan of course the sales team or other principles leave out the fact the plan covers everything at NO cost IF the product has problems within or just under a year from date of purchase AFTER that the parts are free and Labor repair is fee based by the hour I recall. My chair had problems under a year waited close to a month for them to pick it up! and then the repair man says it was not a big repair problem HOWEVER they claim over the phone it was on order the part rude customer service operator. and so it was about almost another month BEFORE the "part" arrived took them less than a day to repair it AND then they still have not delivered it back? waiting another five days. First time customers amazing so the bigger QUESTION is this how they treat customers? WHEN they discover 1)parts and Labor and delivery are at COST? so they blow off that customer put them always at the back of the line for service? These are complaints and questions that will be taking up with the FCC and better Business B and the California dept. of consumer affairs these questions will be answered it maybe a possible break down in C.S.R. and the possible notion the Northern California chain may NOT be Corp. owned? frankly other than the national Corp. HQ's questionable "made in america" claim and operational situations in Mexico the Northern California chain gives the National a bad name to the Brand. As for the Corps. they can find me by my zip code 95822 how many in that zip code will have a all round free repair and service call the store I bought it from is in South Sacramento Laguna area I believe the chair is in Rancho Cordova,ca

not a happy camper. was told bottom cushion was shot after only 5 months used and back cushion needed to be re stuffed. repair guy said i would be happy after the stuff was ordered and he would return well they replaced the whole bottom cushion opened the back cushion but then told he could only fill the bottom back cushion why i asked well he didnt say, he refilled the back lower cushion trimmed it up with a sewing kits and re sealed the back less then 1 month after repair the chair recliner is lop sided again . WHY COULD THEY NOT REPLACE THE BACK CUSHION AS WELL , 4TH LAZY BOY RECLINER IN 20 YRS , THEY WONT BE SEEING ME AGAIN AS A RETURN CUSTOMER 1000 dollars for what a pcs of shit
