The idea of the Shop Your Way Rewards program is a good idea. With that being said, there is such a push to get these cards that cashiers are being written up if they don't meet their quota for the day. The K Mart that i work in is located in a small town with many elderly residents. Many people already have a rewards card, but what our management does not want to realize is that some customers for their own respective reasons will never sign up for one. The store practically drives customers away, there is an employee standing at the entrance, employees walking around, and the cashiers themselves all asking the same customers if they have a rewards card. I have personally been told by a manager that I was not doing a good enough job and i should have more sign ups while i was checking out a customer (while I already had 3 sign ups in about an hour). Now I believe it was unnecessary to practically yell at me while I am with a customer. The rewards cards are driving both customers and employees away, Three of my fellow employees that I am friendly with have already applied to other jobs. My main hope is for there to be a realization and while we are trying the best that we can, to be considered more and not written up for something that we can not directly control. Thank you

You know this reward program came back and it is not any better. Kmart fires, harrases their employees if they dont get enough customers to take a reward card. They even base their hours..u get hours if u get cards..that is a bunch of bull shit..employees do not work on commission here..I think the harrasment of employees and customers needs to stop before it gets legal. Customers do not want any more cards to carry..u dont hardly get any rewards from the card anyways and alot of people only stop there if they need something..they should really check in to this..fact is employees are entering fake names and adress just to get the rewards..i bet if you went into your database..over half them cards are illegal and dont belong to anyone...check ur records before u fire people over stupid stuff..

I bought an item that was defective. I went to return the item within a week with the receipt, but the store in Cary NC would not give me a refund without the box. I will shop at walmart for now on.

I recently placed an order with kmart.com for a wedding ring set on feb 22nd 2011 and paid expedited shipping to recieve it by march 11th,2001(today.)I contacted customer service about my order because i have not heard one thing about my order since it was placed and was informed that my order was still preocessing and hadnt even been shipped yet and i needed to allow more time for shipping and 8 to 10 more days from the time it ships for delivery. Well i wanted and still want to cancel my order but was told i couldnt do that and i couldnt recieve a refund until i get the product and return it or refuse the delivery REALLY? What kind of customer service is that? I paid 200 dollars for a ring and i cant get any information on in regards to were it is and when i will recieve but i sure did pay extra shipping for gauranteed delivery. I am just horrified that i blew $200 dollars and i wont ever get a refund because i wont recieve a product to return, but i have proof i havent recieved and it hgasnt even left the vendor but i paid for it. Someone else i know said they had a simular situation with a stroller and it was never delivered to them and they ate the money they spent on it because no one would refund their money. I have never seen such poor customer service in my life and i feel completely helpless and the fact that i don't even have my weddings rings we ordered makes it even worse. I cannot believe you employ Mike Souza. He has absolutely NO people skills!!! He makes cashiers embarassed in front of customers, he makes girl kringe when he walks by. This is what you call a representative to your corporation. I call it a joke. Also you should state what is policy about damaged returns. I cannot believe your store in Fall River does not take back broken product for even exchange. Kmart is a joke!

KMART SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!! My grandson was hurt by a falling clothes rack (it was a circular type and not secured to concrete!)last year and the manager told us to go to the doctors and make sure everything was okay and that KMart would cover the doctors bill. We took him to get checked out and now they refuse to pay unless we sign a waiver of any future problems from this incident. The bill is $189.00 and now we have to get an attorney to get KMart to stand by their rsponsibility to pay this bill. It could have been so dangerously worse. Yet they are trying to get out of this bill!! What is wrong with this Country is that when a STORE SUCH AS KMART does not stand by their responsibility to make a safe shopping place AND THEN DENIES THE CUSTOMERS RIGHT TO AT THE MINIMUM THE COST OF THE DOCTORS BILL WHEN A ACCIDENT OCCURS. That is all the young parents with one income and three children are asking to be done. But the Claims dept says just have your lawyer call me!!!

As with every time we go to Kmart the customer service is horrible. We went to purchase a cedar swing set they had in the Sunday advertisement. At first we were told they did not have one. Again with the advertising something you never carried in the first place. Then, they found 1 upstairs. The cashier called for someone to go and get it, and for us to wait at the Customer Service counter. We waited for over an hour before they finally came down with one. They said they tired to find someone to help the young boy bring it down, but several times there were men on the floor and they were asked to help....they would just keep walking and doing what they were previously doing ( such as getting carts from the parking lot) without even stopping to listen to what sort of help was needed. The Customer Service lady that's always there is very rude. She never says Thank you, have a nice day or anything at all. She told me my price was 317.00, and handed me my sales receipt without another word. There is always some issue with shopping at Kmart. Not to mention that the stores are always dirty. They make me feel like I am shopping in a third world country. I hate going in there, and don't usually go unless there is something specific that they have in the sales flier that I want to purchase. But after the hour wait to get this item, I am not sure that it's at all worth it.

I live in Monroe Co Michigan and have been buying the smart sense water. I tried to take 2 cases back because you have to use PLIERS to open the damn bottles. Maybe someone needs to contact smart sense water (I tried but cannot find a contact number for them) because if you cant open the damn bottle they are totally worthless! A water bottle that you have to use PLIERS to open with? Better yet maybe Kmart needs to raise their standards when it comes to customer service! Train your people better! Its just water that was 2/$7 not like its an expensive item! Come on guys get it together. Every Kmart Ive been in recently is lacking in every way. And people wonder why Wal Mart is doing so well! I'm trying to get a job with your company in Ga., but there is a problem. A little over two years ago I applied for a job at Kmart in Fl. store number 4283 and was promised a job even though I was 3 months pregnant, but they never called me back. I went through all the necessary procedures, I got the drug test and even filled out a W-2. My son will be two in May. Now I've moved to Ga. and have a Kmart down the street which they are hiring store number 3996. But every time I try to fill out an application in-store or online it tells me that I am already working at store 4283 in Fl. I called the Human Resources Manager in Fl., who is not the same HR Manager that originally did my application and pretty much hired me, but I never got a call back so I never worked for Kmart, but two years later it is showing me as working in your system. The HR Manager in Fl. tried taking me out of the system but since I did all the paper work needed for being hired she couldn't. I talked to the HR Manager, Frances, here in Ga. at store 3996, she called the HR in Fl. store 4283 and told her to call "888 Sears" I think thats what it was called. The HR in Fl. told her since I was already there that the Ga. HR had to call them. So she did and she followed all their instructions to a website, which told her that the Fl. HR was the only one that could do anything. The HR in Fl. has told me that she's been sending e-mails, I can't remember where she said she was sending them, but apparently its not working. She isn't trying anything else to my knowledge. I've been dealing with this for over a month. I have two children and are in desperate need of a job. Obviously I have all the requirements for this job since they wanted to hire me two years ago when I was pregnant. I would really like to work for your company but am not being given the chance. I feel that the HR in Fl. store 4283 is not doing everything she can to help fix the situation. When I originally applied, two years ago, my name was Jacquelyn Atchison, I have gotten married since and am now Mrs. Garcia. Please help me out.

I am an associate at a Kmart somewhere in the eastern United States. For the past few months, Dan Ratcliff, who is the district manager has REALLY been pushing the Shop Your Way Rewards Program. Dan has told his store managers that getting more and more Shop Your Way Reward enrollments from customers is more important than the Heartland Express truck that delivers our products that we sell to customers. The problem is it interferes with everything like getting new freight out on the sales floor and customer service, which, ha ha, is supposed to be our number one priority. It has gotten so bad that one of our store managers was fired because he resorted to looking in the phone book to get Shop Your Way Rewards enrollments. Needless to say, he was fired. After over 40 years serving Kmart, fired. Just like that. But you see, the pressure that was put on this store manager was so great, that he had no choice. His job was on the line if he didn't get the "required" number of enrollments. Absurd. Also we have had quite a few walk outs too. They just didn't feel like putting up with the pressure anymore. THE Kmart Corporation has become something very very sinister.

If there was 0 stars that is what I would have given - I went to K-mart on Feb. 10 to purchase advertised sale item - was given a stamped coupon to return with, when the item was back in stocked - but when I returned I was told they would not honor their own coupon - I'll be taking my business to walmart and target from now on.

Why do you sell International Calling Cards that do not work. Then the customer is out of the money they spent? Will purchase less at K-Mart......the store did not care that my friend from a poor country lost $50.........

I went to one of your stores in Clemmons, NC tonight with my husband and was extremely disappointed in the whole experience. This store was advertising Route 44 jeans for $4.99. There was two racks full of these jeans with a large sign showing the price. I selected a pair of these jeans and when we got to the check out they rang up at 19.99. When I informed your employee of the price they were advertised at she called her manager, came back and told us that the jeans that were that price had stickers on them. Nevermind the fact that there was a rack full of these jeans with that price shown. She didn't offer to go and check on what I was telling her. I work in the retail business myself, so I know what good customer service is and what false advertisement is. I work in Clemmons, not even a block away from this store, so it was convenient for me to run in there when I needed something. Needless to say, we did NOT purchase the jeans and I will make it a point of going out of my way to shop at Walmart before I grace your doorstep again.
