I have spent the last year and a half slaving away at Kmart in Rensselaer NY. I hate the place. After receiving very high praise for my hard work, I was denied every single chance at a promotion. The position I was in, the lied about, told me I would be lead, and set my hours up that way, but had me listed as an associate so they wouldn't have to pay me the lousy extra quarter they told me I would get, which they lied about. The human resources lady called me a b*tch, and they played favorites. Worst company i have ever worked for.
I HAVE WORKED AT KMART FOR 13 YEARS AND ON FEBRUARY 10TH, I WAS LET GO BECAUSE I HOLD A FULL TIME POSITION OF KID WORLD LEAD. I WAS NOT OFFERED ANOTHER POSITION AT THIS STORE. I WAS TOLD THAT KMART DON'T NEED MY SERVICES ANYMORE. I WAS OFFERED A 8 WEEK SEVERANCE PAY THAT THE AMOUNT IS SO DESPICABLE THAT IT MAKES ME WANT TO PUKE. WHEN I THINK OF ALL THE LAYOUTS, PLANOGRAM RESETS AND ALL OF THE OTHER TIMELY TASKS THAT I PERFORMED FOR THESE HEARTLESS PEOPLE IT PISSES ME OFF MORE. INSTEAD OF LETTING GO THE EMPLOYEE THAT WORK HARD. ,THEY SHOULD LOOK AT THERE REVIEW IN THE PAST THREE YRS OR ASK THE ASSISTED MANAGER WHO HAVE WORK WITH THEM . LET THEM DECIDED WHO SHOULD GO . I WALK IN THE OTHER DAY AND BOY DOES THE INFANTS DEPT LOOK HORRIBLE NO ONE FILL THE BASIC COUNTER,EMPTY PEG , STUFF ON THE PLATFORM ,SOMETHING THAT I NEVER DONE I ALWAYS KEPT ALL THREE DEPT NEAT AND CLEAN. AND NOT TO MENTION HOW IS THAT A ACTING MANAGER HAD THAT CHOOSE TO LET GO PPL WHO SHE BARELY KNEWS AND ONLY HAS BEEN WITH THE COMPANY FOR 3 MONTHS . IT SHOULD NEVER BEEN HER CHOOSE FROM THE BEGINNING. THERE SHOULD LET THE ASSISTED MANAGER DECIDED WHO THERE WANTED TO STAY,AND LET GO....... NOW I DON'T HAVE JOB AND I DON'T HAVE ANY HEALTH INSURANCE. AND I HAVE A CHILD WHO IS VERY ILL. I REALLY ENJOYED WORKING FOR KMART AND I LOVE MY DEPT SO MUCH THAT I TRULY MISS IT...... SO EMPLOYEE BE AWARE CUZ U NEVER KNOW IF YOU BE NEXT......
I shop a lot. And I shop @ k-mart in the bridgton mo location and every time I go in the store there is some punk kid working there with an attuide and I feel like I am not wanted in the store I also here them on there personal cell phone and talking to other co-workers about custmers they don't like. Then today. I was put on hold by some one for an hour and when I hu up and called back they told me they don't know what to tell me and places me back on hold ...what I don't get is if they don't want to work there why did they apply....k-mart needs a better screaning policy when they hire theses getto ass people
my complaint is about the Kmart in Silver Spring, Maryland. the employees there are very unprofessional and the Management is a joke. i am a new employee there and i called the store on March 9, 2012 to speak with my manager and i was put on hold for more than twenty minutes and never transferred. i then called back and was hung up when they heard i was the same person. so i called back a third time and a employee told me that i called too many times and the manager has a job and doesn't have time to be on the phone with me so stop calling her and i explained that i continued to call because i never got through to her and then she just laughed and said oh well and hung up again. when i called for the last time i didn't get an answer. i don't think i will be staying employed there too much longer.
My complaint is over two employees at the (3865)Ridgecrest, Ca. 93555 Office. It started when Jennifer Camocho took a couple of days off. She, as a curtasy left him a note showing and requesting that he do these things while she was away. They put Richie Stienlars in her shoe department. Well not only did he egnor the request but he didn't do anywork in that department while she was away. When she returned she asked who replaced her shift for her and the reply was Richie Stienlars. Jennifer then asked her supervisior Linda Siller, WHY was there nothing done during her leave? the super said she would look into it. Then the next day Jennifer went to work only to find a note in the lunch room calling her a UGLY,FAT,BITCH, why would he say such a thing, even better why would he write such a thing, even if she did get him into trouble with the super he should have just done his job. Then I go into the store as a customer and what do I hear but Richie bragging about what he had done to her to fellow employees. What I don't understand is how a bully like Richie gets by with this. I thought all companies were againest bullies. I will not forget this nor will my family members. They are frighten to go into KMart no telling what kind of people are working there. I always liked to shop at kmart for their low cost prices but I will shop else where at least until I know People like Richie Stienlars no longer works there. Just a concerned customer.
KMART - This store really bites. I cannot believe that I am receiving electronic receipts that don't belong to me, from a store a don't shop in, for a purchase I did not make. Now, what if I walked in there and demanded my goods based on the receipt I now have. No wonder it bites to shop, and from what I see of the postings working there ain't no paradise either, at K-mart. I shopped there at Xmas for my new grandson, but trust me, I will only return if I am desperate and K-mart is the last resort. Then while searching for an email address I see all of these posts about your poor customer service. This doesn't make any dawg-on sense. You all need to get it together or leave it alone. Gosh-darn!
i shop at kmart elmwood park n.j. i buy glade products after xmas when they are cheaper. this store did lower them but wen people started buying them and putting a coupon on them which made them cheaper the store raised the price then 3 weeks later they did it again 3 months after xmas thats why i am going to wal mart or walgreens greedy greedy
White Mi K-mart was a freaking joke let me tell you how my day would begin. I would open the Snack Bar re clean everything because the other workers including the manager Bev were lazy slobs. had to put a till in a regular checkout register and run that for basically half my shift. because the supervisor was somehow this higher privileged life form whom didn't have to do any work. besides puffing on a cigarette every 20 minutes and also I had to get shop carts outside and answer other departments phone calls and check if we had that said item. I work for K-mart from May 2000 to Feb. 2006 and my leaving pay was a whopping $8.59 and hour in 6 years I've gotten $1.34 raise total. that's unhumane and not only that after signing my end of employment forum because I was quitting because I have to move out of state. they tell me I had a weeks vacation unused which they wouldn't pay me for, really that's how they treat me for being their most loyal employee for over 6 years...?
I too worked for the Kmart Corp. I was employeed with them for about 5 1/2 years when I was let go on 09/11. I was brought in because of a so said investagation. During this investagation 5 of us was let go. The reason for us being terminated was because we were preform return for the employee the same way we did them for the customers. tell me this "what is the difference?" and futher more we can one do our jobs the way that we are trained. It is funny how management loves to pass the buck and lay the blame on those that are under their supervision. Im taking a Business course and I learned that Kmart has decided to conduct thier audits internally now, that means that management is resonsible for the protection of the store revenue and if any thing does not add up they are the one that would be held accountable for it. But through this I also learned that this is not being uphelp. The managers are twisting this law to fit them. But one thing I do know is that justice, rather by me or another will be served and that is why so many kmarts are closing. I donot forsee this corporation remaining in exsistance for much longer. I just pray that those that are truely good within the company does not get hurt behind a handful of_________________ (you can fill-in the rest). FYI is anyone read this and is still employeed by kmart, beware that your job is not safe and if you have years invested in the company it doesnot mean anything unless you are good, buddy-buddy, or close (family, lover, etc) to the managers.
Being very disappointed in the customer service at Kmart in Altoona, PA. I shopped their on line several times over the holidays. Always a lover of the Kmart store. Well, put a game system in layaway figured it would help me in getting the money together and a place to keep it till Christmas.I came down sick and couldn't make it up to pic it up at store,( we live in MD), and figured it wouldn't get here in time if I sent it. It was in layaway for pick up and I could not get them to change and just send it just wouldn't work. Called customer service and they were of no help. So, thought I would cancel it and reorder than they can send it and I'll just cancel my layaway. Well, I have wrote them and wrote them and called customer service several times but noone was of any help. I can't get my layaway money back and had canceled it 2 weeks before Christmas. Have not received a refund of any kind. Poor, poor service. Was just going to forget about it but thought no, you can give my money back cause if you wanted a pyment you wouldn't wait. Rebecca HUff
the k-mart store in homer glen il. you wouldn't believe what i heard all the workers carry a radio. the manager was yelling and screaming over the radio because the a employee went to the bathroom with out the manger permission. then i ask this manger that uncall to be yelling like that over the radios which everyone can heard the conversation. he told me to mine my own bussiness you cracker. i got his name his name is alex and i will be reporting him to the hotline tommorow.
I've never liked Kmart, this goes back to when I was a teen in the 70's. It's hard to believe that it's worse now than it was back then. Yesterday, I go to Kmart to buy storage containers, and while I was there I picked up laundry detergent. There was a Kmart coupon for the item and I had a $2 off manufacturers coupon. The Kmart coupon expired the day before, but they were going to honor it, but NOT the manufacturers coupon. I explained that they are two different coupons and pointed out that other stores let consumers combine coupons. She couldn't find their policy, I said forget it, I don't want the detergent. I informed her that Walmart and Target will ALWAYS honor their store coupon in conjunction with a manufacturers coupon. I also told her that's why Target and Walmart are always crowded and Kmart is always empty. For me going to Kmart is a last resort, but I went this time for something in the ad. As it turns out they were almost out of what I wanted, and were not giving rainchecks for the item.
I had a terrible experience in the Billings, Montana store. I am not even going to describe the experience since it was so frustrating. Just want everybody to know that the store manager chose not to intervene, and I got what seemed like a form letter concerning my problem from somebody answering the internet. I was raised in Michigan and remember when K-Mart was THE place to shop. Now...they're being outdone by everybody. No personal service....just form type letters, and confused employees left to answer for their managers.
I have to say I am truly disappointed in K-mart. A particular store in Maine use to be at the top in my opinion. The store was always clean and up to date and the employees familiar and friendly. The other day I went into the store and it looked like a tornado had hit it. It was a complete mess! This is when I knew that something drastic had been up. I was told the store was under new and not the best management. I heard that one of the employees that worked for 26 years and was let go due to "downsizing" (or that her position no longer existed). This person I know was not given any type of notice whatsoever and it was my understanding that the law states that a person should be given at least two weeks notice.I belief that this is a complete lie by your company regarding, "downsizing,"and that you just want to get rid of full time employees so you dont have to pay their benefits(and so you can pay less experienced minimum wage employees)! I am not an employee of yours and nor would I want to be but I am just an observer of it all and a previous customer! Yes PREVIOUS CUSTOMER. I do not want to be a part of any corporation that treats their employees that way! I know that if I had my own business I would not treat employees the way that you do. I would value and hold onto my most experienced dedicated staff and that in turn would help the business flourish. I know that this needs to be looked into further and my state senators will be contacted about this
come on people what do you really think you are going to get a happy employee no one seems to want to do their job i have always Worked for my money I've never made money maybe they should hire people who want to work for their money but then again they are human maybe their is an excuse this is upper management fault I think all of the stores have rude employees they also have rude customers I'm a rude customer because i know what i want to buy and just want to get it and get out of the store i was standing in line at customer service lady in front was told that they only ring up five items lots of baby things i told the Cashier to ring her up it wasn't a problem for me only other person in line but cashier wanted to tell me policy your a cashier ring the dam things up then another employee came started to bag for the cashier it took more time with two employee their then four more employees showed up now a line is forming and I'm starting to get a little upset lady in front spent about four hundred dollars THE EMPLOYEE SHOULD ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE BUT THEY CANT CAUSE THEY ARE HELPING SOMEONE ELSE the service is bad but i like their products still trying to finish my house windows with jaclyn smith products curtain panels in need of twenty + panels all the same only two or three at each store can't order any to fill my order hope they can come through for me it took six months for curtains at sears all the same i don't shop on the internet

Hello, I've been buying shirts and pants at Kmart for awhile and have been very satisfied, assuming that they fit well. What I've been less than satisfied is their Return Policy for awhile also. I bought several large size Route 66 shirts about 45 or so days ago and enjoy the snaps in the front vs the usual buttons. Anyhow I mixed a Medium with several large (which I had tried on previously in the store)shirts and the large fit well. Medium is way small on me and I knew it. Well the only thing wrong that I did was not to save the receipt; however, the original tag was left on. The only thing I was told that I could do was an exchange; this was ok, however, it had to be the same style shirt in a large. Well, that style was no longer available and I was told that politely that I'm out of luck in that case. I said why can't I find another shirt and make up the difference, if necessary, and they said no because that's COPORATE POLICY!. You would think that in this very competitive BIG BOX STORE environment, that there would be a greater attempt to satisfy the customer. I don't think my request was stupid or unreasonable!---Any ideas?--tks, Gary PS--I WON'T BUY ANY MORE CLOTHES AT KMART! I know where to go!
I stopped in Kmart to look around and found several outfits I wanted to put in layway for my kids. I was waiting at layway for an extended period of time. Three associates passed me without offering help. Finally the 4th associate called for assistance. I waited again for an extended period of time. Finally someone came to help me, so I thought. However, she rudely informed me she is not on the clock and she can't help me, but will call someone. After waiting for over 10 minutes and being talked to rudely by this associate I left. As I was leaving I heard them call for layway again and as I was passing another associate she made a rude comment. When I got home I decided I had enough of this poor customer service and called the store and spoke with a manager who was the rude woman in layway. I strongly encouraged her and her associates to get educated on good customer service. I am sure this will go nowhere. You would think in this economy you would want to retain your customers and would focus on customer service. Guess Kmart does not need customers. Very disappointed as I have shopped this store for over 30 years.
I have family work for K-Mart but I have never heard such craziness until today.Employees at K-Mart ,are being sent home,losing hours and told that they would be terminated if they do not get a certain percentage of shopper reward cards out to the shoppers.Shoppers are declining the cards ,so it's not the cashiers fault .This isn't fair treatment nor is it legal to do what management is doing to the employees at this company.This is happening at the K-Mart in Silver Spring, Md.on Connecticut Ave.Management ,is harassing their employees to get these reward cards out to the shoppers and that isn't fair.If a shopper decline the card ,the cashier have no control over that.I think this matter needs to be addressed by corporate office to stop such treatment from manage...Brain and Morrison ,need to be corrected on their behavior on this matter and should be dealt with themself.Good employees being put on the frontline because of a reward card....wow...what is wrong with this picture.
I purchased a Wii for my granson in December and it stop working I took it back to exchange it and was told that my receipt was 2 days expired over the 90 days for an exchange and was told that there was nothing they could do for me.Then I called the corp office ans a rep by the name of Trana get all mt infor and said that she would file a complaint and send it to the store manager and that if I dont heard from him within 48 hours to call back so I called back and got another rep by the name of Rodney and he said that he didnt see a record of a complaint be been file.Then was told to start from the beginning,so I did and he was trying to tell me that the policy is 30 days for electronis and it says that on the receipt but that is a lie the receipt says 90 days.Then the kmart manager James at store 4122 in Pensacola Fl dont even know what the return time frame is.Kmart need to hire people that is professional and knows the return policies.This was a very bad experience for me and would advice everyone not to buy electronics from kmart.
