Your new advertising execs need to be canned. Who's brilliant idea was it to replace a sale ad with a "magazine" format that doesn't actually advertise anything. The only thing you succeeded in is quadrupling the number of trees you kill on a daily basis AND losing my business after 32 years of being one of my favorite stores.

I received the JCP May brochure in the mail today which is fun to browse but I turned the page and received a shock. I was looking at the pictures of moms and daughters and came across a family which showed Wendi, and her partner, Maggie with their "daughters" on the page. This made my stomach upset to see that JCPenny would support lesbianism in their own product brochure. WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO? Where is the support for families? Lesbianism is an abomination to the creator God who made us and people must stand up for what is right. That is why I am typing this to all who may read. JCP should not be promoting this lifestyle. I cannot shop at JCP anymore with my "daughters" because of their blatant promotion and acceptance of lesbianism. Sorry to JCP, how sad. Hopefully through this email you will not do this anymore. Since you changed your sales ads, I have not shopped at your store. Your current ads do not entice me to shop there . I found your competitors ads, and prices to my liking.

I have been a JC Penney customer sine 1961-I believe that's 51 years. Over the past year Penney's has promised me different perks but never came through with them. With the new CEO and the new Penney's concept I am through shopping there. I think the current concept will be the downfall of JC Penney.The store has lost its friendly, homey atmosphere and while I use to love to go there to shop I no longer do. Macy's looks better all the time. I think they need to get rid of that new CEO and his Apple ideas and their new concept and get back to reality before they lose all their customers. They have done away with all the wonderful, familiar brands that were so liked and gotten a bunch of things no one wants. They are favoring the 16-30 age group. Look at the models in their catalogs--do you see anyone over 40? No gray hair.They have neglected the 13 million seniors.

All the complaints from JCP associates are true. The new changes have made a big difference to the store. Customers come in and do complain about the changes.For associates the hardest part is not getting hours. Many of us have dedicated many years to the stores, and have been forced to change our availability to be able to keep our jobs. They also do hire new associates and then give them the hours. A regular day for us is 4 hours except on days when they need you and are ok with you working 9+plus.

I'm very disappointed in J C Penney there quality of clothing has gone down over the past several years. Their employees and management just don't give a dam about the way they dress. I went in the styling salon and the manager dresses like she just woke up and didn't even do anything with herself. When you work in a beauty salon everyone should be dressed professional makeup and all not at the salon in Mentor Ohio. I think that you need to take a better look at the top management in this corporation if you do nothing this company will not be around much longer. There are so many things wrong with J C Penney can't say anything good about your company.

Upon reading these comments from customers, I realized it was not only I who had these views. I am a previous employee from the Kokomo, IN store and as an associate, the store manager and a few of the department managers are awful. There is no respect offered towards employees or towards customers. I understand the goal of a retail store is to make money, but downgrading others is not the way to go about it. The company believes that the customers don't realize that coupons were obviously a better deal than "everyday" prices. Many of the "everyday" prices are not any lower than they would have been if the items were on sale. This company is going down the drain and that is obvious to customers and employees. I wouldn't suggest that anyone waste their money shopping there or their time working there, as you will always end up disappointed and disrespected.

I WAS EXCITED TO HEAR OF NEW CHANGES BEING MADE TO THE JCP STORES NEW LOGO AND ALL THE COMMERCIALS AND ALL THE FAIR AND SQUARE. WELL FEBRUARY AND WAS EXCITED. BUT JUST AS MY SURPRISE NOT ONLY WERE THEY MAKING CHJANGES TO STORES THEY DID CHANGES TO SCHEDULES. I HAVE BEEN EMPLOYED AT JCP FOR 5 YEARS BUT THAT DIDNT MATTER GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE GAVE IT MY ALL 1000%. BUT SADLY THEY ADVISED MY DEPARTMENT THAT THEY WOULD BE CUTTING HOURS AND BOY OH BOY THEY DID 2 DAYS IN A MONTH ARE YOU KIDDING ME IM A MOTHER OF THREE CHILDREN ALL UNDER 10 BUT THAT DIDNT MATTER. NOW THEY NEW THESE CHANGES WOULD AFFECT EMPLOYEES WHY WEREN'T WE NOTIFIED OFF THE HOURS IN ADVANCE BECAUSE THEY NEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. NOW I HAVENT WORKED FOR ALMOST 3 WEEKS I CALL THEM THEY SAY WE WILL CALL WHEN WE NEED YOU. WOW! AS MENTIONED I GAVE THEM 1000% GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE I WENT TO WORK WHEN THEY NEEDED ME I STOOD OVER WHEN NEEDED I CANCELLED FAMILY EVENTS JUST SO I CAN PLEASE THEM. NOW THEY PAY ME BACK WITH A HUGE KICK IN MY BUTT. NOW I RECEIVE A LETTER STATING THAT IF I DONT WORK FOR A PERIOD OF THREE WEEK MY EMPLOYEMENT WILL BE TERMINATED. ARE YOU SERIOUS! I CALL BUT THEY DONT NEED ME AND AS SOME ONE ELSE POSTED THEY ARE STILL HIRING. REALLY! YOU DONT GIVE ME HOURS BUT STILL HIRE NEW EMPLOYEES I DONT GET IT. SAD BUT I WAS FORCED TO GO APPLY FOR FOOD STAMPS AND AID. =( SO ASHAMED. BECAUSE I DONT WANT TO I WANT TO WORK. NOT PUNISH HARD WORKING PEOPLE WHO PAY TAXES TO PAY FOR JC PENNEYS MISTAKE. I have been working at JCP for two years now. I loved working there and really enjoy retail. Recently they have been removing registers in departments. They let go of alot of people and are cutting hours severely. I was scheduled only 1 day for two weeks. The manager called me regarding my schedule and basically said I was a horrible worker that's why she had to cut my hours. Before she came along all my supervisors looked to me as the best in the department. I'm a hard worker and think its unfair they have cut my hours so much. They just hired two new associates in the #epartment and gave them the hours. I'm so dissapointed! D jcp is no longer happy there

Just wanted to say good for you ignoring hate groups like Million Moms, standing your ground and keeping Ellen Degeneres as spoksperson for your brand. We all love Ellen and you could not have picked a better and funnier and more likable person to represent your stores. Just because of her i will start shopping JC again after being gone for many years. Screw Million Moms and their hate and sticking their nose into things where they dont belong. Stand your ground JC. it was a great decision.

JCPenney used to be a decent place to shop, particularly for draperies. The employees were very helpful and willing to go the extra step to assist in any way. However, with recent corporate changes that iS no longer the case. Employees are very unhappy with the decreased number of hours they are scheduled to work. Of course, if there are minimal customers spending money, there is no need for extra employees. Maybe JCPenney needs to look at their top management making executive decisions that just don't work, particularly in this economy. The "discounted" (lol) pricing is not attracting customers to purchase inferior products. Consequently, employees are being laid off, or are leaving because they cannot afford to stay ONLY working 12 - 15 hours a week. Nice trick JCP, if they leave you don't have to pay Workman's Compensation! I would suggest that JCP get "Ellen" to stop giving away so many things on her show and give the coupons back to the customers. Perhaps when the customers know they do have the opportunity to buy at discounted prices they will return. Once the customer base increases you can provide a real workweek for your employees and able to provide great customer service once again. THINK ABOUT IT CEO, CFO, AND ALL OTHER LEVELS OF UPPER MANAGEMENT. THE OBAMA PLAN WILL NOT WORK FOR JCPENNEY!

I was interogated for four hours by our store manager in chandler about a rumor she had heard about me and another associate. It was complete bullshit. She had no right to say what she said to me and no proof of this rumor she had heard. She threatened to embarrass me and terminate me. Im choosing to file harrassment charges against her because what she did isnt the first or last event that will take legal action. She needs to learn her lesson. And to see she isnt a police officer she cant keep someone against their will if she has no evidence of what shes saying?! Even after i quit she continued to slander my name to coworkers. Spreading rumors about me and telling people my business may not be illegal but its against company policy. Jcpenney is by far the unproffessional company ive EVER WORKED FOR. Start treating your employees with respect and appreciate them instead of giving all the credit to the people who dont do anything for you. Americas favorite company is becoming americas most harrassing company.

In 1975 I went to work for JC Penney in Pennsylvania. I was hired as a trainer-selling supervisor. During my time there, I was treated in such a racist way that I decided to leave when my job was "abolished". While there , we had no Operations Manager so I was told to do the operations manager work. When the personnel manager was away recruiting employees for new stores in New England I was told to do his work. When we changed store managers my job became in jeopardy because he was not used to working with minorities. Confrontations became unavoidable and I decided to leave. Well, I am about to publish a novel about this experience. It will be entitled "That's Not My Department:or a Year at J C's". Gimbel Bros. tried this return policy years ago and it proved to be their undoing. What J C Penney should do is upgrade the quality of their merchandise and also treat their employees with dignity and respect. If you want to know how your store is competing with others, ASK your salepeople. They are your direct link to the buying public.

I was astounded to see that my son was not the only one treated like a criminal in a JcPenney store. My son works in the Colonial Mall in Macon and purchased a gift for a xmas exchange for a co-worker. He went into JcPenney to purchase a gift for another friend and realized he had left the previous purchase in another store he ran to get the other gift so it would not be stolen and didn't realize he had a $12.00 pr of earrings in his hand. He retrieved his gift and was returning to JCPenney to pay for earrings when he was surrounded and arrested. My son is a senior in high school and has NEVER been in any kind of trouble before. He attempted to pay for item but it was refused. The mgr working stated him and his friend would be somebody B****** tonight! I was appalled by their language on the clock and this let me know how racist this store really is. My son's future is not in jeapordy over a simple mistake.

I am not going to point out any unpleasant experiences with a certain department, but I will spout out right here and hope you will listen. Your recent changes are a BIG mistake. The store lacks vision , there is no vision. Everything is spread out all over the store, difficult to find what you want and more difficult to find an employee to help you find what you want. This is about your Westminster Store. On the top floor, there is only ONE customer service center opened. The other 2 are closed often. I am a long-time customer and this is the worst change you have ever put into effect. The departments are not marked by signs, customer has to search all over the store. Your merchandise is mostly for the young. I am totally disappointed by your "new" Penney. And by the way, your beauty salon department leaves something to be desired. My thinking is that you need to close that department altogether. I did frequent it at one time, ages ago, but will never go to it again. Do you ever care about feedback from customers? BTW, I visited the Westminster store today and it was virtually empty. And this in't the first time it's been like that. Care about your customers! This is not about technology, it's about REAL people who shop at Penney. And we don't like it much anymore.

Re: JCPenney's sponsorship of ABC's GCB (Good Christian B*tches) If this show was called GOOD MUSLIM BITCHES and portrayed all people of the Muslim faith as lying, cheating, adulterous, horrible people it would never be allow to air. But that is exactly how it portrays all Christians on the show. It is extremely offensive and an outright attack on me, my friends, family & people of the Christian faith. Our family is asking JCPenny's to refuse to sponsor this show anymore, if not, we simply cannot continue to support a company that promotes hate and will stop shopping there.

I am very disappointed with you costumers service... I had to call you five times... I wrote uncountable numbers of emails to you... and still no one can answer where my order is? I am writing to them since 2nd of March... I was calling 5 times, I made two orders, one finally came, but where another is? I made this order for my vacation... I will have to go without swim suit.. thanks JCP terrible service... my mood is awful, thank you for destroyed vacation. I made my order on 24th of February first time we have to cancel it because of my visa... I can't insert my good visa number in website. Then my order was canceled without any explanations... reodering again... the week of silence... then the week writing emails and calling to credit card service, because they can't separate shipping address from billing address and need some kind of my bank letters with address confirmation... then waiting for the shipping because some items became back ordered and jcp have to find them in different shops... and finally after delaying for a moth I will receive a part of my order today. So can you tell me, why items after ordering aren't put in shopping cart and after paying aren't sent to customer immediately like in all normal shops? why I had to wait a week to pay than a week while they will find items in different shops... some of them became back ordered! too many mistakes, don't you think so? It's not the first time, but the last, I am buying in jcp shop... I am waiting from 24 of Feb... it's 4th April... I want to complain about such terrible service.

I will not be shopping at JCP any longer since I saw the salary the "new" CEO is making. Your stores are not doing well and your employees are under paid from what I have just read in some reports and emails posted on other websites today. GREED has destroyed many companies and those who have take too much in salaries and bonuses end up paying a BIG price in the end.

Recently I was shopping at a JC Penny store in Sanford NC on April 3 2012. I purchased several items that totalled about 70 dollars. I left the store after purchasing the 5 items. I moved down the walkway into the next store. While shopping in there I noticed a police officer waiting outside with a Jc Penny employee. I didn't think anything of it and continued shopping until I noticed the employee point at me and singled me out. The police officer then proceeded to approach me while in the store and told me that I needed to follow him out the store. When I made it out the store he began to tell me that the employee had observed me stuffing my purse with merchandise. He then told me that because of this I needed to open my purse and show him what was inside. I did not agree to it and was embarrassed immensely . I do not steal and was a frequent customer of this store. I do not know what policies you have in place for stealing. But to accuse a paying customer and to be singled out in public was beyond embaressing. I have never in my life been so humiliated in my life. Needless to say I will no longer support or step foot inside any of your stores ever again. I am also debating about seeking legal action against Jc Penny.

YOU HAVE MADE A BIG MISTAKE CHANGING THE CONCEPT OF YOUR STORE. THE CLOTHES, JEWELRY, ETC THAT YOU CARRY IS WORSE THAN WHAT WAL MART SELLS. VISITED OUR STORE SEVERAL TIMES SINCE IT BECAME "FAIR AND SQUARE" AND NO ONE WAS IN THE PARKING LOT OR IN THE STORE. ALL THE MONIES YOU SPEND ON YOUR COMMERCIALS IS SUCH A WASTE OF REVENUE TO TRY TO BRING ALL FAITHFUL SHOPPERS BACK TO YOUR STORE IS FUTILE. WHOEVER THE TEAM, OR PERSON WHO CAME UP WITH THIS NEW CONCEPT SHOULD BE FIRED AND GO BACK TO THE OLD WAY OF RUNNING BUSINESS, WHERE, FROM THE OUTSIDE, LOOKED QUITE SUCCESSFUL. GUESS IT GOES BACK TO THE ALL MIGHTY DOLLAR - WITH COUPONS, REWARDS, ETC THAT WERE PART OF THE PAST, YOU PROBABLY FIGURED YOU WERE LOSING TOO MUCH OF YOUR MONIES AND BONUSES WERE SHRINKING, WELL, NOW, IF YOUR "NO BUSINESS" KEEPS GOING DOWN THIS ROAD, BANKRUPTCY WILL BE IN YOUR FUTURE.
