I have never muted a commercial faster in my life!!! I tried to figure out why you would even post it, what it really means... it's simply stupid and beyond annoying!!! Makes me want to take my regular JCP shopping trips up down the mall to Macy's!!!

I want to kick my tv set in every time I see those screaming idiots on what I guess is a comercial for jc penny. somebody at jc penny is out of their minds. Good luck with that ad.

I am not surprised by the large number of negative responses pertaining to JCP's latest "screaming" commercial. Like so many others, I either mute the sound or change the channel when this hideous commercial comes on. It is in no way entertaining or humorous; it grates on my nerves like no other commercial does. I understand marketing principles: elicit consumer response, positive or negative, so long as the consumer becomes aware of the brand. JCP has failed miserably in its goal. Yes, consumers have become aware who the advertiser is and have responded quite loudly: WE HATE THE AD!!! I don't even understand what JCP is communicating via this ad nor do I care to know at this point. I also believe the ad agency that came up with this ad should be fired, along with the JCP marketing team who approved it. I will intentionally stay away from JCP stores as a direct result of this screaming ad. I have also written to specific TV channels, ie Bravo, asking them to pull this ad from their programming because it is so overwhelmingly disturbing and annoying.

Your latest TV commercial with people screaming like bloomin idiots is by far one of the most aggravating commercials on TV. With the vast resources of JCP, surely you can come up with an Ad Agency staffed by some knowledgeable personnel.

The screaming commercial is absolutely horrendous!!! I am quick to change the channel as soon as it comes on. If I were the networks I certainly would have charged more than what it costs for a Superbowl commercial knowing viewership was bound to go down because of it. I didn't even know what was being advertised because I would change the channel immediately. Today I heard colleagues talking about boycotting JCP and I inquired as to why..."because of that horrible commercial"...so now I at least know who to complain to. Please make it stop!!!

why no zero star option? Actually you need minus 10 for your new marketing campaign. No, being aware of this commercial does NOT mean it is working. It means I have graduated from a JCP customer to someone who will never go there again. You have ruined every relaxing evening since this campaign started. I can't change channels fast enough--and yes, if necessary, I will simple turn off the tv (ref: your multi-channel strategy). So delude yourselves if you must--this is not going to interest me in your store at all. In fact, you show all screaming women--really? nice depiction of women (I think there is one exception but it is a very brief and much less aggravating instance) I'm gone! (eg no discount program you offer will fix this--I'm VERY loyal on my standards)

You've outdone yourselves. I am 53 years old and I cannot remember EVER seeing a more obnoxious TV ad, ever, for any product, at any time, in my entire life, than that horrible NOOOOOOOOOO thing you're running right now. I'm not sure I will ever be able to shop at Penny's again--I'm afraid I would have that ad ringing in my ears the whole time. What on earth were you thinking??

This is the most annoying commercial EVER! I mute the sound or change the channel when it comes on..I could care less that JCP is "reinventing", this horrible ad will not make me run out to a store near me to shop, in fact it makes me want to go out of my way NOT to shop there..I wish there was a rating lower than a 1 because I would certainly use it...

I wish you would remove that horrible screming commercial. It is the most annoying thing I have ever heard. Who in their right mind would want to hear an isiot screaming at you through a commercial. I have to turn the sound off during your commerciaal. I certainly hope you didn't pay anyone to make this awful commercial. I have been a loyal customer for years. This is terrible.

Worst commerical I have ever seen. I am embarassed to say I work for JCP. That is in insult to everyone. This really supports the society we have all created. Typical public school bullshit. So glad I am so above all of this crap. I got my degree and I am out of JCP the first job that comes along.........

If I were the CEO of J.C. Penny I would immediately ask for the resignation of the head of marketing. What person in their right mind would possibly think an obnoxious screaming add could boost sales. If someone in the organization does not remove this quickly I will never spend another dime at J.C.P.

Your latest commercial does not bother me. What bothered me was going into your store this past Sunday and seeing the change. Not good. Reminded me of a Target, Walmart. Don't get me wrong, I like these stores for when I need them. However, I felt that JCP was a step or two about these stores. With the current change, it has that Target/Walmart feel, that somewhat less expensive look and feel. I liked JCP for the service, the quality of their clothing, and the fact that I could shop for my whole family there. I loved the sales. Never had a problem. If I forgot my coupon, it was at the register. Or I could go to catalog and have them print out my rewards certificates. I have been a loyal JCP customer and I am saddened that I will now have to find another place to shop.

PLEASE pull the commercial off the air, Rating system should allow for negative numbers It has now become so annoying, we are just changing the channel. If your ad team was trying to change customer perception of JCP, mission accomplished. Everybody I have heard voice an opinion on this matter (and there's a lot of negativity out there) is saying pretty much the same thing "JCP obviously has idiots in the marketing division, who see their customers as idiots and, of course, idiots hired those marketing idiots". Most would not be caught dead with a JCP bag and will not be choosing JCP for their shopping needs anytime soon. It has simply been an extremely offensive campaign.

I've been a Penney's shopper since 1968 and I've never been disappointed. But now, thanks to a commercial, I am really disappointed. Not only do I not understand it, I can't stand hearing those people screaming. Whose bright idea was this. Maybe a new advertising person would be in order. Stop running the screaming ad. I have to mute the TV when it comes on. It makes me angry and my blood pressure skyrockets! Did your people really think this would make customers want to run to your store. I will not shop at JCPenny until the ad is GONE. The last thing anyone needs when they are relaxing and watching TV is SCREAMING!!

i sincerely hope someone actually reads and reports on these comments. the no ad is by far the worst piece of advertising i have ever encountered. i have never bothered to comment on an ad before, good or bad, but if you are paying a company to produce that disgusting and extremely annoying ad, you should ask for damages. i have never had to mute an ad before, but i watch tv with remote in hand whenever that comes on. dont you have screening processes before you go national? i cannot believe any consumer board thought that ad was a good idea. i used to love shopping at penney's, but now when i see the sign over the door at the mall, i cringe. mind association. it is a strong incentive to go elsewhere. if you need a screener for ads, i am available and probably eighty percent less expensive than your present ad firm. just a heads up. this was a mistake, big time.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH alright! Worst ad to be on TV and can't change the channel fast enough when it comes on. Forget about muting it, turns us off so much don't even want to see it. What was your marketing and advertising departments thinking of when they put this on, no wonder your sales are down and your just hanging on. In these times I feel for your employees.

Others have said it already, but I figure maybe if lots of folks tell you maybe you'll pay attention. I hate your new ad -- listening to all the screaming is horrible. It took rewinding it to even figure out what the ad was about. Let me tell you, it sure doesn't make me want to walk in the store. Quite the contrary. So you ad has created another angry consumer.
