I'm scared to even turn on the TV for fear that the JCP screaming commercial will air. And so many times!! Boy I hope your listening to these comments - 'cause in this case "any publicity is good publicity" is not going to work. Ever here of product association? Now when people drive by your stores they will become immediately annoyed and anxious. I'm not going there anymore. Sheesh....

YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE SCREAMING AD OFF TV. (YES, I KNOW USING ALL CAPS MEANS I'M YELLING.) THE AD IS OBNOXIOUS, IRRITATING, STUPID, POINTLESS, HARMFUL TO YOUR BOTTOM LINE. YOUR BEAUTIFUL CATALOG CAME THE OTHER DAY SO I STARTED LOOKING THROUGH IT. ONLY SAW THE FIRST FEW PAGES BEFORE I TOSSED IT AWAY -- I JUST KEPT HEARING THE SCREAMING FROM THE AD, AND GOT COMPLETELY TURNED OFF. I'M SURE I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO DID THAT. AND, I'LL BET THOSE CATALOGS WERE EXPENSIVE TO PRODUCE AND SEND OUT. YOUR POOR JUDGEMENT ON THAT COMMERCIAL IS HAVING WIDE REACHING REPERCUSSIONS -- PEOPLE REFUSING TO SHOP IN YOUR STORES, WASTED CATALOGS, PUBLIC BAD WILL, LOSS OF CONFIDENCE IN MANAGEMENT WHICH COULD RESULT IN STOCK HOLDER DISSATISFACTION, ETC. SO, ONCE AGAIN, TAKE THE SCREAMING AD OFF THE AIR.

I know, you don't want anyone shopping at your stores. Based on the recent screaming commercial, I figured it out. It really too bad that you don't care about your image. I can't tell you how offensive I found this commercial. Your marketing staff needs a vacation.

Stop the screaming ad! It's like running fingernails down a chalkboard! Obnoxious is an understatement! Very disappointed that JCP has stooped so low to get people's attention. Remove it from TV and fire your marketing director immediately!

I had no idea what company had the horrific screaming commercial because I mute it or change the channel as soon as it comes on. Someone asked me if I had heard that God awful JCP commercial and I had to ask which one because I have never left the commercial on long enough to know who was advertising. Isn't this the direct opposite of what you should want in a commercial?

The "Dies Irae" and "Lacrymosa" of Mozart's Requiem, KV 626, ingeniously excerpted and stitched at identical chords by the ad with an excerpt from the "Introitus", speak of the "Day of Wrath", the Last Judgment of the dead, when, according to the New Testament, there will be a LOT of screaming, yelling, and gnashing of teeth, as depicted in the ad, and other horrible suffering and woe. However, this kind of knowledge of the content of classical music is exceedingly rare today, outside of professional and academic musicianship and choral societies. Poor Mozart, and kudos to the ad designer who actually understands what this masterpiece is about. Only **** because I still don't understand the connection of the Last Judgment to the business of J C Penney.

Oooh, I was also so annoyed by the assult on my ears by the screaming ad that I mute the TV at first sight (hopefully before I can hear it). I hadn't noticed it in the last few days, so I thought you'd gotten the message. Then lo and behold, I'm sitting her at computer working with TV in background, out of reach of remote control and-OMG here it goes again!!! PLEASE, people. What in the world are you thinking? I know it seems to be generally thought by ad agencies (I assume) that loud, raucous noise makes us pay attention-but, you know we're really not that stupid. And this is worse than most. Please reconsider and withdraw this ad. I would never go to JCP to shop based on this, in fact, just the total opposite.

Your screaming commercial is obnoxious and despicable at best. I have decided to stop shopping in your store because of the commercial, was that the intended effect? I change the channel everytime it comes on. Would it be so awful if someone in the entire retail (not just clothing stores) sector took the dramatic step to show a classy, intelligent commercial, that didn't demean or insult your prospective customers.

I hope you fire the advertising agency who came up with the offensive and disgusting television commercial of individuals screaming in pain. It's is repulsive and actually CAUSES pain in the viewers. I will no longer shop at JC Penney until you treat your customers with respect, and remove this awful, awful, awful ad.

You need a zero on your rating scale. I am glad to see I am not the only one that can't stand your add with screaming. I suffer from PTSD and this is harmful to my health. Shame on who ever made this add and shame on whoever gave the ok to let it run. : (

I Will Never Shop at your store!! Obviously you want annoying crazy people to shop there from your HORRIFYING commercial!! OMG..The WORST Commercial ever made!!!!!!! We change the Channel as fast as possible & I am sure if your at home you do too!!! Who the heck wants to listen to people screaming while at work all day and want to come home to peace! PLEASE STOP THE AD! Sincerely, Not a customer of Jcp anymore!

I would like to express my feelings on your new commercial. The screaming is like chalk on a chalkboard. I feel you have insulted your customers intelligence with this rude, unimaginative commercial. Whoever came up with this concept should be ashamed and so should the cooperate officers who agreed to putting it on the air. It certaintly does not send me running to shop at JC Penny. Needless to say I am appalled to think you could not do better.

Not shopping at JC Penneys until they change the ad... How could the pay for this ad? Someone must have been drugged!

As long as the annoying screaming commercial continues to air on the networks, I will continue to protest by not entering a JC Penny store. This has been one of the most annoying commericals I have ever viewed. It is ashame that we have to mute our tv while the commerical is airing. I would hope that the horrendous outpour of complaints would spark a intelligent response and remove the commerical from airing ever again.

Oh my God! I HATE that damn hollering JCP aka J.C. Penney commercial! It is the MOST annoying and aggravating ad I have ever heard or seen. If the plan was to alienate your shoppers, I would say this commercial works, as who would want to shop at a store that aggravates and annoys them with nasty hollering advertisements? Which is probably why it is difficult to discern who or what the ad was advertising. After several exposures to it where I changed the channel to escape it, I decided to mute it to find out whose advertisement it was. I still have no idea what the purpose of the ad is. What are they selling? Annoyance? Nuisance? Its a BAD BAD Ad. Take it away and never let it be seen again. Amen.

I was feeling so annoyed I didn't see the rating system, and posted my previous comment regarding the hollering ad with 5 stars "best" which I suppose could be Best at annoying the life out people. My actual rating for the ad is negative -5.

What on earth are your ad execs thinking with that hideous screaming ad? I was sitting in a waiting room waiting for my husband to come out of cataract surgery when this atrocity bellowed into the silence from the tv overhead. It kept going on and on and on! The receptionist and other occupants were looking around at each other. What an insult! Now the thought of Penneys reminds me of the screaming insensitivity of your marketing staff and execs who signed off on this affront,

The weather has been very mild this winter and I have been able to crack my windows but cannot enjoy the fresh air because two of my neighbors from the apartment complex have knocked on my door to make sure I am not being attacked or murdered because of the absolute most annoying commercial ever made. My pets freak out every time it comes on...and it comes on way too frequently. J.C. Penney has made my life miserable. I can't even turn on the TV without being terrorized by this distasteful commercial. I've done my last shopping at Penney's and my loyalty will be with Sears, who respects the sanctity of my home and my sanity. I hope the people who have had strokes or homicidal ideations during (or PTSD after) the airing of this travesty in advertising start a class action suit against your company. R.I.P. J.C. Penney!

STOP that freaking terrible screaming ad. I have Tinnitus,,and I am about to forget shopping at Pennies every again! Certinaly not now, and neither are all my family and friends. Did you hear my SCREAM? The a-holes who made that ad should be screamed at right in their ears to get Tinnitus that I suffer with! You want an ad person with pro music composition skills? That would be me,,,,BUT not for your company. Scream YOU!

Please get rid of that stupid, anoying commercial (errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)
