I got stuck travelling overseas and was delayed a day causing me to miss my hotel reservation. I contacted Hotels.com per the instructions in their email and got no response until AFTER my reservation expired. Then they refused to refund me my money. I recommend avoiding Hotels.com and Expedia....ripoff

FALSE ADVERTISING

I booked a room through Hotels.com. The option I chose was for two beds and a roll away bed. We got to the hotel and there were only the two beds. When questioned about having the wrong room, the hotel said "...we don't even have that option available because the rooms are too small. It is a safety hazard." They said they have no control over what Hotels.com advertises and I should call them. When I contacted Hotels.com, first they said that I was looking at a different room, next they stated "...you didn't get the extra bed because it was not requested." Completely dancing around the fact that they advertised something that was NEVER an option and one of our guests had to sleep on the floor, the conversation continued on about how they have no control over what the hotel does. Hotels.com, STOP POINTING THE FINGER AND ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR FALSE ADVERTISING!!!

WARNING!!! PATHETIC!!

I am joining in to voice my dis-satisfaction with Hotels.com. There is not customer or service consideration at Hotels.com, pathetic is over stating their company. Whomever is leading their company certainly has no plan on long term success. Apparently they don't realize customers support them, NO CUSTOMERS, NO BUSINESS.

Poor business

Do not use hotels.com. Upon check in today hotels.com charged 118 per night. Going rate for this time of year for regular rates is $89.00 per night. Severe price gouging. I spoke with a supervisor at hotels.com and I stated "so it's useless to use hotels.com" the supervisor stated "exactly". This is a great way to promote the company and especially by a Supervisor. I will never use hotels.com again.

Horrible! Booked Hotel for Italy 5 months ago, 2 rooms for a family trip. 6 weeks before scheduled departure I inadvertently find out that only 1 of the 2 rooms was booked and now the hotel does not have any available rooms. Where was the call from Hotels.com telling me about the problem with the reservation? They took no responsibility at all and offered to find me a new hotel. Unfortunately it is 6 months later and the only hotels that have openings are below standard. Great job, never use this company.

Cancellation policy

Please be very aware that cancellation policies are awful. I reserved something in May and their policy was for me to cancel in April. How does that make any sense? When I called hotels.com they said that was not their policy but the hotel. I called the hotel and they said they are not responsible for this policy either. Basically they made my waste about 3 hours of my day and nothing can be done because the "ball" kept being bounce from one side to the other. They basically just one the client to give up and just take their non-sense policy. I will never again do business with this company in my life.

Hotels.com - AWFUL

My experience with Hotels.com is much like everyone else's - they charge your card at the time of booking, and despite telling you that you can modify a reservation, you can't. It's costing me $750 more than it should. Use the hotel booking directly. There is NO reason to use this awful company.

Pricing

The lady that booked my trip was amazing. The hotel I booked was pay on arrived my trip is 5-23-2013 and I was charged 5-16-2013. When I call the Lorriane Hotel they informed me that Hotels.com knew they were going to draft the month out of my account in advance. When I called Hotels.com the manager was not listening to me and he told me call the hotel because they charged my account not hotels. com. I informed him that I was mislead and I should have been notified since I went through Hotels.com for the hotel. :-( Very Upset with there customer service. very unprofessional.

DO NOT USE HOTELS.COM

I requested a refund for a one night booking and was told that it was the hotels policy that they did not do refunds. When I called the hotel, they told me to call hotels.com because they processed the payment. I called hotels.com back and asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that they did not have any supervisors and that a guy named Anthony Borowski was the one who signed the checks and i was speaking with him. Really?? All I wanted was a refund. DO NOT USE - call the hotel directly.

Stupidity

I work for a hotel chain that has had nothing but problems with Reservations that have been booked by Hotels.com. They are very unprofessional and make it very hard for the hotel employees to help the guest when they often give guest wrong information about hotels. I have had many guest come to check in with misleading information that get very upset when they find the hotel is no what they expected. My employees should not have to deal with irate customers that Hotels.com created.

No room for a prepaid reservation.

Reserved and prepaid a 3 night stay in Oct 2012 for the Hyatt at Bellevue for April 9 through 11th, 2013. The hotel did not honor the first night and send us "free of charge" to another hotel at the Philadelphia Airport. Basically, we were displaced from a downtown location to an airport location. We were on our own to make our way to the airport hotel and lost a day of vacation. Book through Hotels.com or stay at a Hyatt at your own risk.

Customer Service

I made a hotel reservation via hotels.com on 4/3/13 and cancelled on 4/3/13. This reservation and cancellation was made with customer service in the Philippines. One week later the charge was on our credit card statement. Sfter three hours of "fighting" with customer support reps in Philippines and Dallas .............hotels.com refuses to refund the charge. They say it was never cancelled. They ever verified that I did not stay at the hotel. Over the past years I have booked and spent over 10k with expedia and hotels.com. They are losing a very good customer. UP YOURS HOTEL.COM and EXPEDIA.

Do not book through hotels.com

I booked a reservation last night through hotels.com to find out 7 minutes later upon arriving at the hotel they were actually overbooked. I spent the next hour, yes, the next hour going through holds of 3-5 mins to see what hotels.com could do. The lodging operations would be able to book another hotel at no additional charge I was told, however, with being said.....the automated system for hotels.com lodging operations automated system was NOT working when I was put in cue. I had to go spend more monies to locate another hotel on my own, still not bring refunded for the screwup to begin with and when I contacted hotels.com the next day, today customer service was very nice, however, in the end she was misleading.....I was informed $50 would be placed back on my credit card within 3-4 hours, however, that did NOT take place only to find out it was not a refund to my cc but a voucher to use at another hotel, really, like I'm interested in getting somewhere and being told the same thing again, I think NOT. The two supervisors I spoke with Roy and Sophie did not nothing to accommodate me as the client to make sure I would continue with hotels.com, but some good information, Sophie did tell tell me they were giving me the voucher to coverup the problem, why would you need to cover anything up, I told her to choose her words more wisely because when you cover things up it is usually not a good thing.

2230 E. Ruellia Dr. Oro Valley, AZ 85755

On 2/22-2/23 at Motel 6 Houston Hobby. I got in just after midnight, went to bed after much travel and was awakened by a dog barking nearby. I called the desk an hour later, 1:30a.m. and asked how long this noise would continue. He said the lady should be back in 5 or 10 minutes. What a relief!! Finally the dog stopped. I had no idea dogs were allowed, nor bark for so long. Very disappointing. A rough night.

Horrendous

Absolutely sickening. They charged me fifty dollars extra(that wasn't even shown until after I was wrung up), then hung up in my face when I tried to get it handled.

RUN!!!! Don't Walk Away!

These people are liers, rude and the most unprofessional customer service I've ever encountered. If you give them your time or money kiss them both goodbye. They suck your better off playing the lotto at least you have one in a billion chance to win. With Hotels.com you will loose every time.

No stars at all. Tried to change a refundable reservation by one day and I ended up with a changed reservation to a non-refundable one. I could not cancel or change it, I was on the phone with 3 people and had to accept the non-refundable reservation. Do not use this site again for any hotel reservations, Make the reservations with he hotel .

worst customer service ever

I asked hotels.com to price match from travelocity and the guy told me that it's been done and even repeated the price matched price to me before charging my credit card. Next thing I know, the price in my confirmation email shows unmatched price. I called and they said that the other website no longer offers the price so they can't match price even though it's their own fault. I talked to the supervisor and she hung up on me and told me that I don't have to use their company's service anymore if I'm not happy. RIDICULOUS! I will never use hotels.com anymore.

Idiots

I made a reservation at a hotel in Salt Lake City to go to a business show. When I made the reservation I gave the woman I talked to the location of the convention center and explained to her that I needed a place that would be a 5-10 minute walk, no more. I went online to find the directions to the convention center from the hotel to find that the hotel is almost 6 miles away. I called hotels.com and was hung up on four times before I finally got a supervisor. She tried to tell me she would cancel my reservation and after telling her no several times she offered me a 20% discount. I will NEVER deal with this company again. Why can't you rate it a minus.

Disappointed!

I booked a hotel for a Thanksgiving stay in NY and when I went to find to find my reservation I could not find the confirmation in my emails so I called and was told the reservation never existed. So on my own I booked a second hotel this one more expensive due to this was a few days before i was leaving. Again the same thing happened so I had a reservationist book a third hotel for me again more money for the same days. When I got my bill I was charged for the first 2 reservations. When I called to complain I was told that they had to treat it as a no show and charge me for tor first night of each reservation, Mind you The 3 hotels were booked for the same exact days each reservation increasing in price...why would anyone do this?...Now I am writing a letter to the coporate office explaining the same. Geez what a headache.
