Poor customer service

I was looking at something on your site that said it was available in store. When I went to the store the customer service girl told me we don't carry that. I took my mobile and showed home depot does carry it. Well this store doesn't. Can you have it shipped from another store? No. Can I speak to a manager who can help me with this. No! If I can't do it he want be able to either. Apparently there is no desire to satisfy the customer. One reason I rarely go to home depot. I will find what I need and pay to have it shipped. But I want buy it from these people.

HomeDepot/Citibank

9/5/13 Attempted to charge $700.00 purchase on my Home Depot Credit Card. Was told card had been cancelled for non use. Told clerk I'd buy materials elsewhere. She said I could apply for and get new card immediately and still get the 6 month interest free payment plan. I accepted the offer. After a significant delay the transaction was completed. I was given an additional 5% off "for my patience". On 9/25/13 called Home Depot Credit (Citibank) and advised them I had NOT gotten a bill or the credit card. Was told they would take care of both but that I was not eligible for the 6 month free interest since I had been given the discount. On 10/7/13 called Home Depot Credit (Citibank) told them I still had not received a bill or the credit cards. Was told they were sent to the wrong zip code. I paid the full bill on the phone and requested they cancel the account after the representative's impatience. I have sold my Home Depot Stock and will buy from Lowe's in the future.

Broken processes x lying = losing customers

I've been on the phone to the Corporate Office of Home Depot for over twenty minutes. Jasmine, then Kendall - will not even BOTHER to try to fix the problem BUT WILL TALK over you and bulldoze your efforts to tell them their processes are BROKEN. Until this company listens to its customers who are screaming HERE on their OWN WEBSITE this company should be ignored. LOWES, ACE, LOCAL STORE HERE; here I come bad or not!

home depot merrick blvd queens ny

I ordered vertical blinds for my terrace and it is taking 3 months now just to get them installed. The vendors they are dealing with are slow with measuring and installation. The staff at this location are all young and very unprofessional. They put no effort in getting things done efficiently. They are lazy and slug up and down the aisle as if they could care less about being at work. They lack good customer service skills. Corporate office should clean house at this locat oil on.

I had to cancel merchandise online that I ordered because of the 3-5 day shipping policy. They could not work with me on a delivery date. The on line email rep from Home Depot asked in the email if I could have a neighbor get the order for me since the order cannot be cancelled. Really? It's $1100 worth of merchandise!! I placed the order on a Sat and cancelled on a Sun. Several emails back and forth...no guarantee that the order will be cancelled and that I would have to pay for return shipping. I called the next business day and the order showed that an email had been sent to the vendor to cancel the order. Very poor customer service. They have lost another customer.

when i was at home depot the manager was following me and my wife around like we were trying to steel something. i have many tattoos and long hair ,my wife has many tattoos as well. just becuase we look the way we do the manager takes it upon his self to follow us arouind and not give us a explination to why i will never shop at that store again and probably not any home depot again.

False advertising, Lies ,Lies ,Lies

One of their corporate values is "do the right thing" doesn't seem to me they practice what they preach. I'm done with them and plan to tell everyone I know to stop shopping there. Management is the worst, they just don't care. I bought a sliding glass door that went on sale the next day. I had a 3 day grace period to cancel, so I could have canceled and taken advantage of the 15% off $2,000. But was told my door didn't qualify, even though there was nothing in the ad excluding it. A manager just said no I don't care what the ad says.

poor products

Over the last two years I have had to return five items that were defective . It is thirty miles roundtrip each time . I have had to drive an extra 150 miles to return products . Will never shop there again . The products they sell are of poor quality .

Store Negligence and Liability

I fell and was injured at the Aurora Village Home Depot in Shoreline, Washington. As yet, I have not been able to speak with their insurer because the rep only calls at about 5 a.m. (before I'm up) and leaves such poor messages that I cannot hear the number she leaves so I can call her back. I am about ready to file a law suit (which I told store manager, Don England), but it doesn't look like he gives a damn, which was pretty much the attitude I saw during the entire aftermath of my fall. No rush, kept taking phone calls, tried todrive firement who offered to help me away, etc.). You may look forward to my lawsuit if I don't get help soon.

Former Customer

Never will go to Home Depot again. Worst Customer service in the world. Ordered a patio set, online but in the store because the store could not give us the larger table. Nightmare since. The stuff was supposed to be delivered to our vacation home in East Dennis. Showed up in Brewster at the same address. We caught this before it was shipped and they assured us the order was cancelled and reshipped. It was reshipped so we ended uo with two. Stupid us, we should have kept both. Had them pick up the second set. We opened the box a couple weeks later and low and behold the table was damaged. This is Memorial day. Back ordered till August. Call customer service. Useless. Went to Home Depot in Hyannis The Supervisor assured us she would be at her desk so we could straighten this out with store manager, Got to Home Depot and she did not pick up her phone. Had to make a scene to get the smaller table. Still fighting with them for a promised $300,00 refung which I have in writing. Have never heard back from TWO SO CALLED supervisors. What a way to run a business.

Is anyone listening at HD Corporate?

While HD has a great concept, it's a pity it is so poorly run. A year ago I had a flooring order. 3 weeks before the move in, I was told they couldn't get the flooring or any flooring ( I was open to choosing any floor, because the apt had No flooring!) so I was out of luck. Another company made it happen and got my thousands of dollars. A few years ago I ordered a double front door with side lights (long matching decorative windows. He screwed up my order every possible way, primarily because of their procedures and less than knowledgeable inexperienced staff who deal with customers. I took the time to offer corporate solutions to all the problems that caused 6 MONTHS of delays. My "thank you" was woefully inadequate. Just now I tried to get a price on shutters: have been disconnected after waiting for ages and calling in several times. Clearly HD is not interested in doing an business. This can't be good for the USA! Will whomever is "running" HD please read this and fix your issues?

I have purchased 2 major appliances amounting to $2300.00. I chose an install date. GE Distribution, who HD uses called and gave me a 7-11 AM window. I asked for a time after 9 AM or in the afternoon. They would not accomodate my request. They deliver by zip code, and we will always be first. Spoke with the store and corporate. They will do nothing. Seems HD takes care of their service providers and the customer comes second. LOWES is going to get my business. Their delivery service is customer orientated

Service?

I needed a gallon of Behr paint late Friday night (in Lynchburg, Va), so I made it in the store about 8 minutes before closing. Found the paint and went to the paint counter. No one there, so I walked up front...two employees were talking so I asked If I could get the paint mixed (there was still 5 minutes left). They turned and said the paint guy is gone and then turned back to their conversation. I have been in Lowe's near closing time, had employees help me, even past closing. It it wasn't for Behr Paint, I would not return to Home Depot.

It is time for a large corporation like yours to be the first to reduce the open hours of your stores. As a share holder and employee there is not enough sales after 9 P.M. on weekdays, 8 P.M. on Saturday and 6 P.M. on Sunday. Please check your books for sales on individual hours and expense of labor and you will agree with my analysis.

Poor Customer Service

I brought a water heater from home depot. when it was time for my plumber to install it he noticed that it had already be used. I returned the tankless water heater and was going to exchange it for another. None were in the store. CS told me where I could go to get another one and I went to the other store. The price at the other store was $350 more than what I paid. I asked to speak to the manager and they never did come to speak to me. Instead I spoke with the so called head cashier. she told me that they do not price match from other home depot stores. She was going to give me an 10% discount until she saw how much that was and took that back also. if I didn't need the water heater right away I would not have brought it. I WILL NEVER AGAIN SHOP AT HOME DEPOT NOR WILL I RECOMMEND ANYONE ELSE TO SHOP THERE.

product delay almost a month

i have been waitting for product almost a month , once am done with my project i will not use home deopt again. they keep making excuses, if you dont have the product have it shipp from another place, they dont keep enought product in house. home depot at temecula ca home depot at murrieta and vista californai all 3 store are short on productin.

The story of 2 stores

I am a General Contractor in Central Oregon and have access to 2 Home Depot Stores within 20 miles of the little town of Sisters. I recently had a client with and emergency need for a Range replacement due to the failure of an existing unit and an upcoming wedding that did not allow for ordering a replacement through the normal channels. The need was urgent and after talking to both Home Depot stores it was determined that the Redmond Oregon store had what I needed which was a slide in GE Profile Range and the Bend Store did not. The Bend store understanding the urgency of the need was willing to do anything within reason to service the customer including selling the floor model if need be. The Redmond store was not even with the Bend store interceding on My behalf. The result I went to one of the local appliance stores and bought a Frigidaire slide in and had it installed and operational by 5PM Saturday. Redmond had the Profile on the floor and would not sell it. The result "Home Depot" lost a sale and the Redmond store lost a customer for life and they will receive no referrals from this customer and contractor. Kudos to the bend store and sales staff.
