Worst Installation Services
I am sorry that I have to give one star on this review, which would indicate that there is some semblance of quality; in my experience there was none. Home Depot Installation services was contracted to install 5 windows in my home at the beginning of November and the job is still not complete. It's quite a long story of poor excuses, bad contractors (yes, there were several), horrible customer service on every level and a job that looks amateurish. Home Depot never made an effort to fix any problems until I complained loud enough, and even then the customer service was lacking at best. Hire a contractor outright and don't get caught up in the circus that is Home Depot Installation services.
Poor Products
Last week I went to the Wallingford,Ct Home Depot and purchased the most expensive home humidifier there for $178.00. The box looked as though it was opened but with no parts list inside I wasn't able to notice if everything was there. Shure enough when I got home and tried to use the unit a part that was needed to run it was missing. Took it back today and purchased the next lower priced unit for 168.00. This unit looked like an unopened box. Got it home and to my surprise it was missing the whole accessory package, without which again, the unit wont be able to run. Some where quality control is missing the boat. I think from now on my appliance purchases will be on-line
I recently shopped at the Lodi, NJ Home Depot and purchased a Christmas Tree. The service I received from one of the manager's/sales associates, Rene Socarras, was exceptional. He was very helpful, informative and courteous and I would return to that store just because of him.
Thanksgiving Day
Thank you so much for having the true American Spirit and staying closed on Thanksgiving Day. My whole family will be together and none of us will be shopping on Thanksgiving Day. We appreciate you.
Bad Customer Service
At 10:01 I finished pushing all the buttons to get to the department I wanted. Several times I was put on hold. At 10:20 I asked for a manager. At 10:30 I left a message for the manager that "If I did not receive a call back by noon, I was contacting corporate. This is not the first time I have had problems at this store. If there was a Lowe's closer to my home, I would be shopping there. If you would let me post with a negative rating, I would, but you only allow a 1* minimum. Yes I am angry!!!
Thanksgiving Day
Just saw in my local news that Home Depot is among those corporations who will be CLOSED for Thanksgiving. I would like you to know I heartily support this decision. I am boycotting any store forcing employees to work on Thanksgiving or over-nighters just to grab a few more dollars.No discount savings is worth timed lost from your family and a day of rest for hard working employees. Nice job, HD.
My Father went in last week to pick up a toro lawn/vac blower I purchased for him and had shipped to his Home Depot in Fl. He tripped over some extended shelving and hurt himself. While they were nice at the store- he has hurt his back and Home Depot is offering no medical help. My Dad is 83 and very active (still works). I am very disappointed in the treatment is is currently receiving. I tried to give a negative rating and it wont let me post that.

Who is minding the store
I literally went all over the store to TRY to find a H.D.employees to help me locate a product...Pompano Beach store in Fl. Finally, I went to the front and the H.D. person there told me to ask the cashier!!! and left me... Loew's is much better at having there people on the floor and will take you to the aisle and product.
im sick of being harrased by the day labor spanish people lottering on the grounds of home depot. since when did become a division of day labor. believe home depot could have them removed legally.

I was in car wreck and a home depot person had stopped to help me. I have never seen this person before but this lady took her shirt off and handed it to me to clean the blood from my childs face. If anyone should know it said 5084 rdc on it. I have no idea where this is but I want to thank her. It was so nice that I felt a person caring for another person. I asked her for her name so I could get her shirt back to her. She said Mel, she said for me to keep it that it was no need to return it. I am so thankful, for her for her help.
I have just learned that Home Depot will not honor Veterans discounts of 10% to a veterans with a service connected disability if that veterans has not served for 20 years.
Military Discount Policy
The new Military Discount policy just cost Home Depot $6,000 worth of my business. Just found out the new Military discount maxes out at $500. Guess what Home Depot? Lowe's still honors it's Military with a 10% discount regardless of the purchase price. We took our carpet order to them and will do all future shopping with them. SHAME ON YOU!! At least Lowe's thanks us. I added this to Facebook, Yelp and any other social media I can.
Customer Service
Was charged a $25 late fee + $2 interest for a bill of $36. Payment was sent on the 27th of Sept. but they didn't post it till Oct 3rd. Called & was told NO GRACE PERIOD ! $27 fee for 2 days ! Will not shop at Home Depot anymore.............
hd does not care
why can we not speak with the president of homedepot? why do poor areas pay more for products? why cant we get the help we need? anyone can be a manager at hd....there is just no help....minos all around....lowes here i come....next step facebook for me so everyone knows about hd....susan rhue
Customer service
Not to pleased with the Veterans Discount program, no matter how many wars you fought in they will not honor you but 3 times a year, but they will honor only active duty, even if only in for a week, retired or someone with war related injuries, your honored 365 days a year, a military veteran is a veteran and should be treated the same.
I ordered an electric fireplace back in Oct 2013. It was partly shipped to the store. I didn't know it was a half shipment until after i bought it home and put it together. It was extremely heavy. I called to let Home Depot customer service know the situation. I waited patiently for the firebox, screen, and remote. I was promised it will be shipped before Thanksgiving. It is Dec 12, 2013 and i have called at least 3 times a week to let them know i still have not received anything besides a remote. I am still waiting for the rest of my fireplace and i am so frustrated that i still have not received my inserts, firebox etc. The remote is not even the correct remote. I was also promised by customer service that they will return my call to give me an updated status. One called back out of the five promised to call. Very unhappy, frustrated...and very upset..
