this is a very good company they help thousand of needy handicap poeple. i wish you could tell me how to please everyone and i would write a book sell it.and stand beside home depot and be able to help the hurting as well. God will always keep blessing this company,

I own a Design Company and have been in business for 35 years. I specialize in Commercial projects. I have spent between 80 and 150,000 per year in materials from home depot every year. It has been my procedure to feel comfortable buying anything from there with no relative issue. I know the items that are basically crap so i dont purchase those items and stick to the higher quality items. No problem. I work all over the country and since i dont need help from undertrained staff to assist me i have never experienced anything till recently that has made me hate that i ever spent a dime with what know has become a shiesty organization. If i lose a receipt i never worry about it and get a gift card as i am home depot 3-4 times a week. In making a retur of the whopping ":i must be leading a criminal enterprise instead of a valued customer" amount of a grand total of 9.00 i was refused the return and told that i could no longer return any items with or receipt for 90 days and at which time i would be "Re-Evaluated to SEE if i can be ALLOWED to return items in the future. ARE YOU F"in KIDDING ME????? then the 800 number to this po box addressed place called Retail Equation is rude have no answers and speak in puzzles. I waited 3 weeks to receive what was supposed to be a form to address this instead i get a list of my returns without a receipt for the last 9 months which total 343.00...... I SPENT 60k in that period within your stores you idiots. Where is your policy posted? we do what we want? thats your policy. See you assholes in court, you have screwed over the right customer this time and BTW. I am collecting other honest screwed over customers to join me in suing. I'll be the guy in court wearing a Lowes T-Shirt.

I really do not want to give Home Depot any stars, but this was the lowest choice so now for my story. I called the Home Depot on Earhart in New Orleans to order double pane customed windows. They Scheduled an appointment for saturday the 15th of Sptember of this year(2012) for 1:00 in the afternoon,I called the store at a quater to 2, and happened to inquire where was the salesman, only to be put on hold for 15 minutes, then was told that they no longer do windows(which is a lie) so I politely told the manger of the store that he was a lying MF and would never but anything from them again, never darken there door. And as I happen to work for the Port of New Orleans, I will be taking their business away from them also. Do not buy from this store, they do not stand behind their word or product.

Homedepot is the worst company I work for. They hire mostly part time employees in florida and they schedule you sometimes only 4 or 5. Hours per for the week. You cannot afford to feed your family or pay for gas to go to work with the hours and lousey pay they gave you. They expect you to work crazy shift times and bend over backwards to accommadate themselves and there customers.

Dept. of Labor, My name is Charles Tripp. I recently got laid of from Home Depot. I worked for a cleaning service Eurest. No reason was given but I suspect it was because of conflicts I had with several gay workers at the Home Depot in Normal Illinois. Some of the management is gay so I guess when I finally confronted a guy name George about him looking at me up and down and looking at me licking his lips and making moaning sounds the management laid me off. Is their a course of action that I can take to possibly prevent this from happening to other workers in the future. Charles Tripp

The home dpot store located at 4001 Ming Avenue, Bakersfield, California, 93309 is the worse store I have been in. I only wanted my garage door opener fix, and by the way I bought it there. I called at 6:00 pm and was kept on hold transferring me to other department until 8:oopm, and still no one answered my call, so I hung up my phone. If the Home Depot store is that under staffed the maybe they need more employees. When in the store you can never find anyone to help you. I will not do any future business with the Home Depot, I will go to Lowe's, they do care about there customers. The girl that kept transferring my call was very rude herself. I don't have to take that kind of customer cars, and I won't.

I purchased a stove at the Home Depot in Taylor, Mi. The stove was unsafe so I sent it back. They charged me a re-stocking fee. I then purchased a Maytag stove in the trade-off. The stove does not have the proper grille on the top. I did not realize that when I purchased the stove. Only after a while the grille would not fit the holes in the top level of the stove. So, I think I bought merchandise that was not first-class but second class because of the manufacturer error. I did not follow up on that because I didn't want the hassle of the store or corporate office. I am now waiting for a part for the oven which switches off while baking. I WAS one of their faithful customer.

The Home Depot on Hwy79 and Hwy685 in Hutto, Tx. is one of the worst retail places I have ever entered. For the last four or five times I have gone into the store to purchase merchandise, I have had to have a manager called. Yesterday was the last time I will ever enter a Home Depot. I was looking for unfinished kitchen cabinets. There were 3 or four employees sitting in the area where the cabinets were just talking doing nothing. When I asked, finally and older woman stated that I needed to go to "Hardware". When I got to hardware, the gentleman sent me back to the area where the lady was in. I spend a lot of money at Home Depot but not any more. I'm going to Lowes to buy my cabinets. At least I'll get some service.

Well, around August 1st 2012 WE WENT TO THE Home Depot Store in Yucca Valley, CA to buy a simple Pump for our Evaporative whole House water cooler, guess what, the store had NONE at all in stock and were all sold out. SO, we asked an employee there WHY there wee no water pumps for coolers in the store, we were told that who ever orders them for that store gets a certain number of them and that is it. This is STUPID, because the summer heat season up here in Yucca Valley, CA goes on well into October of each year. So, whoever does the ordering of Pumps and cooler supplies for the Yucca Valley Store is indeed in my view pretty darned DUMB! Period! Just plain stupid, and DUMB! Thank you!

HOME DEPOT CORPORATE -- READ THIS COMPLAINT -- I don't hesitate to write compliments when due, but not this time. I needed a bearing for my evaporative cooler that I purchased quite a few years ago from Home Depot. I go on line to see if they have the part in stock. A couple of stores in the Reno area have the part, and one Home Depot store that is less than one mile from me did not. Now I am driving 10 miles one way to their store. The Service Desk, notice it doesn't say customer -- wonder why??, a man has me following him all over the store at a record pace. He is taller and can walk faster, I am short and it was quite a chore to keep up with him. Bottom line, they PROBABLY have the bearing, but all of this stock is put away for the year. Reno is a high desert and our temperatures are still in the 90's for the month of September. I went to a local company who has been in business more than 50 years and is doing quite well even with Home Depot stores in town, and the guy GIVES me 2 bearings without knowing the Home Depot side of the story. They give back to this community like it should. I will be bringing bagels back for this department -- their company provides donuts everyday. Do they have my business -- you bet!!!! Home Depot, only if I have to. I do not shop at Lowes -- too long a story.

Bought a GE washer and dryer through my South Carolina Home Depot to be completed at the Union NJ store for delivery to my son and daughter in law as a gift. The washer and dryer arrived, with the dryer having a large chip on the door. My son offered to accept the dryer with GE to replace the door. He was told no, the dryer had to be returned. Delivery then had to be scheduled for the following Saturday. My son and daughter in law were in a wedding for good friends (my daughter in law was matron of honor). A morning delivery was a must. We were told Home Depot has no control over delivery times. Not only did they not honor the request for morning delivery, but they got the last possible delivery time of the day (between 4 and 8 p.m.). Kind of like a chef spitting in the food because you complain. They had to leave the wedding halfway through the cocktail hour because no one could stay at the house to accept delivery after 7 pm. The replacement dryer came with even more damage than the first one. Home Depot's attitude is "it's not us, its GE." "It's not our fault, we can't control deliveries." They have lost a lot of business. We are now Lowes customers. My son is an electrical contractor doing 10s of thousands of dollars of business with HD. His father is also an electrical contractor who will be shopping elsewhere. His father in law is a general contractor that gives HD hundreds of thousands of dollars in business each year. Lost all of that business because they don't take care of their customers. They just don't care.

I purchased a Washer and Dryer from your Home Depot in Fishkill, New York. The sales agent was great. But that is the only thing great about Home Depot. When we received our machines we noticed that that the delivery person dented the Dryer and we called Home Depot there attitude was call the manufacturer we did and they told us they would send out a repair person. Well the repair person has gone to our home 5 times and has order parts to the machine. mind you only have had the machine since July 26,2012. We once again called Home Depot and told the representative they sold us a "lemon". Home Depot's representative told us the the manufacturer needs to give the approval. Just today for the 6th time and many phone calls the A&E repair came to our home and told us that the Washer is defective. These machines were not cheap and Home DepoT should have done the right thing to give us either our money back or replace the machines with new ones. I have lost all consumer trust with Home Depot, Maytag and A&E repair. Please BEWARE of purchasing any home appliances with Home Depot. 914-736-1706

I used to shop at home depot religiousely as i have had friends switch from lowes to home depot as their prices are better for the same materials. I'm a handy man and easilly would spend eirher 1,000 to 5,000 dollars a month for different job marerials but now after this one incident tbey have lost my bussiness. On August 15, 2012 i was in there signal hill,ca storebuying some wood as another person decided to steal a $250 millwauke drill. Their loss ptevention officer gave chase after this person in the parking lot and ran him into my car causing $2000 worth of damage to my vehicle and home depot dosen't want to take responsibility on fixing the problem and wont release tbe information of the other party involved to my insurance company but say there not responsible for the damages caused. They purposely left me out of the police report to avoid the fact that my insurance can't go after them. Home Depot dosen't care about their customers in any way and as long as people keep spending money they tend to care less.

I have had problems with your Deerfield, Fl home depot At home Services. I had then install 15 windows in my home They were to be installed on 4/29 and 30/12. I had to delay that date because od back surgery. A new date was set for 5/29 & 30th/12. The Installer came and mid way thru the project I discovered they were the wrong windows. But since the job was nearing completion I let it go forward and try to resolve the issue later. I also found 1n of the windows was defective. I have been in near constant contact with the at home services to correct the problem. All I have received IS PROMISE'S , Repair notices(not kept) phone call not returned and an attitude that just shows they don't care The latest is I accepted a $250.00 pay off to live with the windows. However I will not live with the defective widow which was broken when trying to fix it. I have talked to the following people trying to resolve the issue Scott Nelms,Scott Key, Joe Pasquarella, And Bobby Dawson and others who I cannot remember. I have had a series of no return calls when I do reach someone they will promise you anything but do nothing. I know telling you I will never do business with Home Depot again is non productive because a company as big as Home depot can afford to loose to customer but you can guess what I will do.

I recently went to the Marshfield Fair in Marshfield, MA. They had a booth to win a $500 Gift certificate to Home Depot, who wouldn’t want to win that. I immediately completed the form. One week later a person called to say that I had one the largest prize, which I thought was the Gift Certificate. No it was 4 Airline Tickets and a discount at a hotel at the price of $69, and of course to check out a time share. What the heck does this have to do with Home Depot. I am very disappointed, you tricked me and everyone else who completed the form that was in a booth with a Large Home Depot sign. Deceiving us so you could sell our name and number to someone else is not a good practice!!!

the store in Greensburg,PA is the worst place to shop. Can't find anyone to help you no matter what time you go there. If you do find someome, they are just kids out of highschool/college who don't know squat. A lot of times I'll go there in the later part of the day and the associates are standing around having a big tea party and won't even ask if I need help. Everyone is on their personal cell phone, especially the cashiers. Even saw one cashier texting as she was waiting on a customer and on one occasion a supervisor cashier talking on their cell while waiting on someone at their self checker registers. Highly unprofessional!! Their managers are a miserable lot. Don't even have the nerve to come and talk to you if there is a problem. Had one manager talk to me on the phone as he was in the back office (whatever that is) and couldn't come up front to see me. There are a few "old-timer" associates who do care but they are slowly disappearing. Asked one cashier whose been at this store for years where the veteran employees are and they said they are being terminated or so stressed out that they are quitting. Go to Lowes or your neighborhood hardware/lumber store and avoid home depot like the plague!!

I switched over to Home Depot for all my agriculture needs and home repair items after an employee at Lowes told me that "veterans, military or retired military" should not get any discounts. She was very serious and stood there and started referring to veterans as Red Necks and drunks. When I asked to talk to her manager, it turned out that SHE WAS THE MANAGER and had been called away from what she was doing to give me the discount. I have not been back to Lowes since and left all my merchandise I had planned on purchasing on the counter. This morning my wife and I went to Home Depot to purchase new carpeting and tile for our home. The clerk was busy so we stood off to the side but within close proximity to the clerk. When we first arrived at the tile carpet section there were two clerks but one got up and left. While the clerk was helping two ladies at his desk an individual walked up and started asking questions and the clerk told him he was helping someone else which was more than obvious. We remained out of the way waiting to be next. When the two ladies were finished and walked away, I approached the clerk with the tile sample we had brought from home. He walked away from us telling us that he had to help the other person first and went to find him. I told him that we had been waiting for him to finish with the the prior customers and he had even recognized us as waiting. Again he told us he had to go find and help the individual who had barged in while he was taling to the previous customers. I HAD bought everything I needed for my orchards, washers dryers, tools and gardening supplies from the Marble Falls, Texas store. NEVER again. Especially with WAL-MART right up the highway and TRACTOR SUPPLY between Home Depot and Wal-Mart.

We are being HARRASSED DAILY by vendors because HOME DEPOT sold a list with our and your phone numbers! We will never buy anything from this store again!!!

I bought 30 sheets OSB..along with other materials. Depot employee loaded my tandem flatbed trailer (12ft)...when I came out I saw they loaded it a bit far back over the tandems...that much weight needed to be forward to avoid fish-tailing. I said something...I was told they load this all the time and there would be no problem. (they didn't want to move it all)...I left and started up the interstate to my home...I was doing about 50mph .. the trailer started acting up and as i slowed down the trailer came off the ball and down on the chain..(thank GOD for a double chain) the jack stand dug into the asphalt and the OSB shifted and as I was stopping on the shoulder of the interstate..the boards slide off onto the side of the road...I sawwhere the trailer jack had slammed into my rear bumper and dented it..I had to unload all the materials to reconnect the trailer..I reloaded towards the front of the trailer as it should have been loaded...and got home. I have had issues with both St. George, Utah annd Cedar City,Utah Home Depot's...customner service is nothing..orders for materials and doors, carpet is a total nightmare. And Home Depot's response is always.."I'm sorry" Hell !!!! just give me what I want and what I pay for !!!

It is disgusting that Home Depot does not follow Lowes with giving discount to military. We get the discount every time. Recently shopped for washer and dryer and found a GE I liked, looked at both Home Depot and Lowes and found Home Depot is charging (even with so called discount) $50 more. Lowes gets my business every time.
