I was at Janesville Wis store today. There was a man shopping with his seeing eye dog. When I left I saw a store employee assisting this unsighted individual to the bus stop which is about 2 blocks from store. Apparently, it was not a trip man and dog make often and with our cool weather it was very nice to witness this employee looking out for them both.
Defective Refrigerator
Purchased a refrigerator from Littleton CO Home Depot. I have followed all requirements to have this refrigerator replaced. I needed 4 service calls, then was told 3 service calls, then told if I had contacted the store within the 6 months they would replace it. Then told it had to be within 1 week of purchase. I've had 5 service calls and now am told they had to find 3 problems. Wires have been replaced, mother board replaced. Told to readjust my shelves for better air flow. I've done that. Shaheerah from Atlanta help center then said 45 degrees is acceptable. She need further training. Refrigerator thermometer clearly show anything above 40 degrees is in the danger zone. I've had 5 1 gallon milk curdled by souring. Yogurt turns watery and butter go soft.
Poor quality employees
At East Delray Beach Florida store,I've had bad experiences with employees that don't seem to care.. Yesterday I had a woman when approached for assistance, simply shrugged her shoulders, looked right through me and kept on walking. I own over 400 apartments units and have had enough experience to know when a place has employee problems. I entered store at 3:45pm to buy a rug and other things and left at 4:45 without ever finding anyone to help with purchase. This has been an ongoing problem at this store and solution is to shift to either Lowes or the Boynton Beach Home Depot.
Product in Puerto Rico Suck!!!
I moved to Puerto Rico and started remodeling a house. It is hard enough to travel all day to buy produces for construction...That is more sucky is that after the all day shopping day. The product you buy at Home Depot are broken, missing parts, you think it and it is wrong...Now you have to waste another full day returning the junk only to pick up another piece of sucky junk from Home depot...I love Puerto Rico it is a beautiful place but shopping at home depot is the suckies and so is their produces...they treat the islanders as third class citizens if we are luck...
Veterans Discounts
went to purchase a screen door from HD and at the register the cashier said cant give discount unless its service connected.. I showed her my veterans ID she said no i cant give it sorry,.Well guess what Home Depot you can keep your stores because you have made a lot of Military People very upset. you just lost another customer that will shop at Lowes from now on..See how fast your company goes down the drain with the word of mouth!!
Veterans Discounts
If Home Depot DOES NOT give military Discounts PLEASE have a sign stating this and make sure every employee know this.. Thank You from a United States military Veteran I will purchase my supplies at LOWES along with the other veterans who can get discounts. Word of mouth spreads fast not to shop at any Home Depots again...

directed at the merchants
Went to purchase another pallet of ice melt today, apparently the merchants decided to stop all winter products orders and order spring products instead...( I'm sure he lives in Florida or something) In march!! when we get the most of our snow!!! On top of that their nice fresh plants are covered with six inches of snow and its 24 degrees out, no plastic or nothing... Huh???? Who's in charge?? This guy needs to be fired!! This is Colorado guys, pull it together... Us big companies with accounts with you rely on smart people.. I'm sure there will be multiple lawsuits today..

we brought 1500.00 worth of material for mother in laws house which was completely damage in sandy , we rented the truck and asked for help loading it, when we got back they said we went over time and charged a additional 11.00 they said if we told them we had to load the truck we would not of been charge, when i asked for help loading the truck did they think it was my truck. we buy thousand of dollars of material every weekend to fix the house, home depot will never get a another dime of it , and its the cheapest 11.00 avertizing they ever spent
I love working at Home Depot. It is a place where you feel good to work at, and most everyone is so friendly and helpful.
Employee behavior
Im going to make this short and sweet. My brother in law works at the Bastrop Texas Home Depot. My sister was just told that he is having an affair with a woman named Robin. She is the Head of the stoves, fridges etc. Its all I can do not to let her go up there and cnfront that woman in the store.I know several people in the store and they said they all know about it. They actually said she was seen in the store parking lot pleasuring him in his auto. This is just a heads up...everything is fixing to hit the fanat the Bastrop store.
no free haul away
We just purchased and received a Whirlpool washer and gas dryer that was delivered at no charge. When the delivery men informed us that they would not haul away because it was not on our confirmation I was perplexed. All over your appliance website it is clearly stated that free delivery and haul away on all appliances over a certain $ amount. Upon speaking with a customer service rep Aritra, she told me there was a box that I had to check to confirm haul away was needed. I do not recall seeing that box. So I went back and 'pretended' I was ordering another washer and it very clearly stated under the subtotal that there was free delivery and haul away. As a consumer I feel this falls in the realm of 'false advertising. I feel I should be compensated as most reliable retail establishments state that 'the customer is always right'. I would appreciate a reply to my dilemma.
Home Depot Nightmare
Went to Home Depot to look for flooring and get estimate. Paid $35 for man to come measure for flooring. Upon completion, Home Depot had no record of his measurements, and insisted he never came. I indicated a man came to measure, it was not Casper. They could find no record of this. Contacted contrator who measured and he remember me and my German Shepherd. They promised to have estimate in 24 hours, but still no luck. If you need flooring call Empire and save yourself a headache.
Employees
I work for a company that does a lot of business with Home Depot. I have to talk to at least 10 different HD stores daily, all across the nation. They are, without a doubt, the rudest, laziest people I have to deal with. It takes an absurd amount of time just to get someone to answer the phone, and when they do, it's like you are just a huge hindrance on their day. Because of the countless, terrible people I talk to at Home Depot, when I need something for my home, I will drive the extra distance to a Lowe's or a Menards, rather than shop at a Home Depot, even though its closer.
had a horrable experience at the auburn, calif store.Katie at the customer service deak was very rude and un-knowledgeable.I want to know why you would hire such a person to represent your store.I will NEVER EVER shop this store or any other Home Depotsw again. Hello Lowe's here i come!!!
VA/Military Discounts
For years I have shopped Home Depot in Copiague, Farmingdale and Bayshore, NY. Today I visited the Copiague store and was checking out with approx. $280.00 from the lighting, plumbing and lumber. When I proceeded to the check out and showed the lady teller my VA Military card for the 10% discount HD has been providing for some time, I was told they do not give VA discounts any longer. Is this a new HD policy or some jerk employee not knowing the store policy. If this is the case HD corp. should put signs out so vets will know there not welcome. I'll bring my business to Lowes from now on.
Discount offered for Veterans
Home Depot says that they give discounts to veterans but when I showed my VA Card it didnt say active duty. So they dont really give discounts to Vets they give discounts to active duty personnel. They need to verify and state in there stores what discounts they give. I would have gone to Lowes if I knew they said they give discounts to Vets then said I didnt have the right card. A vet is any person that has been in or is in the military active or inactive as in was in and has a card to show with picture on it. Beware before you buy anything thinking you will get a discount.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
I wanted to purchase an item from Home Depot as a gift for my son. Here's what happened. 1-Internet site would not allow me to put in city & state. 2-I called Austin, TX store to order there. After being transferred several time and on hold, I hung up. 3-I called my Aurora, CO Home Depot to see about ordering from them. They referred me to the internet customer service number. That's where the horror began. 4-The man who took my order, was extremely slow but I didn't mind. I repeated everything for him and spelled out names and address'. I got my confirmation email and everything was wrong. Spellings and address'. I could not believe my eyes. So I called customer service and talked to a nice man called Darnell who was very pleasant and got it all fixed. This took a great deal of time. 5-If the order taker was more intelligent/good listener, all of my time and Home Depot's time would not have been wasted. I will NEVER order again.
Genie garage door opener
I purchased a Genie garage door opener at your store in Orange City Fl and it broke after a week. For two days I tried to speak to some one to have repairs made and was passed from one to another persons with no one able to take care of my concerns. I am disgusted with your store personnel and I wonder how yopu can stay in business.
