Disappointed

I always stay at Holiday Inns but from now on I will choose another I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Philly for 2 nights to attend 2 events. It was horrible, keys that didn't work, loud and unruly pool crowd, no food in only restaurant, parking manager rude and yelling at me, waiting 5 hours for room, dirty stairways, I could go on and on. Do you offer refunds as I am planning a trip to Baltimore in August.

We have stayed at 2 Holiday Inn Express within the last month. One in Las Vegas, NV and one in York, PA. At each one they ran out of food for breakfast every morning because they didn't realize that they had that many people staying there. That is EXTREMELY POOR management. Also in Las Vegas, they didn't clean the roooms and in York, they tried to clean before 9:00 a.m.. We have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express hotels and have now learned why your slogan is Stay Smart. You stay smart if you don't stay at a Holiday Inn Express!!!

horrible office staff

My daughter worked for holiday inn express in venice fla. They treated her like dirt. when she finally quit, a couple of the girls that worked in management found a friend to open an accout on facebook where he proceeded to send my daughter very degrading messages.I responded to his messages and told him he knew nothing about my daughter and had no right to be degrading her. He then sent me degrading messages. This goes to show you what kind of people holiday inn hires to run their management positions. Not only do they not treat their customers right, they don't treat their staff with any respect either

Bad night in Kimball

We stay at the kimball, TN location every time on our way through. This time room smelled of mildew. Air conditioner had black mold on it. I'm allergic to mold. Front desk staff moved me to another room which also had black mold on the air conditioner. I took the front plate off and washed it myself. Bathroom curtain also had mold on it along with the seam between the shower wall and tub. Needless to say we will find a new location next time through.

Mis- management

Stayed in Holiday Inn Budd Lake - Rockaway, NJ for one night and will never stay at Holiday Inn again. The room had a stuffy moldy smell and I was told at the front desk, which took 25 minutes to check in with only me standing there, that I got the best room in the place. The staff was confused about the reservation system and didn't know how to check room availability efficiently and accurately. I just looked at my bill two weeks later and got charged an additional $700.00 for my room. It has been 5 days and no one from the hotel has called me back to straighten it out yet. They keep saying the manager is out. They are very disorganized. The hotel in general was clean and neat. The staff was disorganized, confused & unprofessional.

Holiday Inn stay in Manahawkin N.J.

My family and I recently stayed at the H.I. in Manahawkin N.J. and thanks to the front desk jockey and a very abrasive night manager,the stay went from pleasant to ugly within minutes. H.I. should consider some type of corporate training programs where the focus would be on honesty,integrity and people skills. I j=know these words fall on deaf ears but it feels good to get them out for other consumers to see.I have worked for a major world reknowned gorporation for over 25 years and with that,travelled extensively.Their hotel of chice was Marriott and mot once in all those years had I ever encountered a problem during any stay. This was my 4th stay at a H.I property and I'll be hard pressed to ever stay at that particular property again.

Bad experience

We just got back today from staying at Holiday Inn at Opryland in Nashville, TN. Very disappointed with our stay. Poor service all the way around!

"Incidentals"

My boss needed me to go to another area to work so he booked me a room at a Holiday Inn Express and used his company card to book the room. Upon arrival, I had to give them a card for incidentals. Since my boss wasnt with me, I had to give them my debit card. A couple days later, I happened to check my account and they ended up charging the amount of the room to my debit card which left me with no money, and with lots of overdraft fees. Keep in mind my boss only booked the room for me so that left me with no money to get any food with. After talking to the front desk, they could get me my money back within 1 business day, but it was a Friday so i wouldnt see my money back until the following Monday or Tuesday. One of the worst experiences I have ever had. I guess on a good note, I ended up losing 5 pounds because all i had was light snacks the whole time.

Holiday Inn Sucks.

Location: irving, tx 4550 west john carpenter freeway. Date june 30 2013. Expired food in shop. Blood stained sheets, a roach in the tub and a bug on the floor. Management was either rude or indifferent.

Veterans

I would like to take this time and thank each and every one of our veterans who served our Country... But be it to my dismay you get a slap in the face by Holiday Inn, they do not have any military discountsfor the veterans, they choose not to participate with those discounts per Mike at the Corporate Office complaint dept. I would like for each and every person who reads this to post a statement or thought. Long Live Veterans!!!!

No satisfaction

Myself and my wife use your inns being they are usually top notch,but we stopped in Fredricksburg Va. Upon entering our room the aroma of a cleaning chemical was so over powering we had to request a different room. The people at the desk informed they had other complaints about the odors, also the tub wea so slippery from what ever agent it was dangerously slippery. The assigned us another room almost as bad sa the first. The view was of a front arch nothing else. The desk was informed that we could not remain at the inn, due to the odor and my lung cond.tion. They said again they could not do anything else . My wife with the help of the desk made reservations at the Comford inn. Holiday inn informed us later we did not check out of the inn. We would like some closer to this matter... They never returned our call wich was supposed to be within 48 Hrs. Thank You

I booked a non refundable room at the Olathe, KS Holiday Inn before I checked the Expedia Customer Reviews. I'm a Priority Club member and felt comfortable doing so. The 4 most recent reviews we titled "Not Good, Look Elsewhere, Bad Motel and A Little Disappointing" with an overall numerical average of "2". Your District Manage over this hotel should check this out immediately. I hope it isn't as bad when I get there!

Ms.

Reserved room at Fresno Airport for Grandson's graduation. Reserved and paid for handicapped room with roll in shower.Arrived, no roll in shower, horrible room, no closet, no help with luggage are just a few of things I experienced. I'm a senior and handicapped. I always looked forward to Holiday Inn. This place is not a good idea for any one.

My sons basketball team stayed at the holiday inn express in tulsa ok on 81st street. They were playing bb at ORU & in between games. They came back to the room and were locked out. They sat their bags down in front of the door and went to the front desk to get a key. During this time someone stole my sons bag which contained $115 cash and NEW $200 BB shoes! The staff were very rude & not at all helpful with this matter. There isn't any cameras at this location. Anything happens apparently you are o your own. Thieves. ...good place for you to go! No cameras & a staff that doesn't care!!

No vacancy????

I took my friend to the Holiday Inn Express down the same street I live on Monterey Hwy, San Jose, CA at 10 p.m. We entered the lobby & the night clerk was visiting with 4 people as they sat in the lobby chairs and when I asked about a room for my friend. He looked at me, then my African American attorney friend then said "no vacancy". The parking lot was virtually empty & I doubted he was telling the truth. Since when do the night clerks have nothing better to do than visit with friends in the lobby? We loaded the luggage back into the car and drove some place else 4 miles away and it was not a Holiday Inn. Enjoy your stay elsewhere.

Double Billing

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on Windward Parkway in Alpharetta back in Feb of 2013. Our bill was paid when we checked out, 4 months later, they have billed us again for the same night. When I called the hotel to discuss, the manager was rude, but that was when I got the manager as the first girl that answered said she was. When she couldnt explain what happened, she said, let me get the manager. The manager said it was my responsiblity to prove we paid and that once I sent proof, they would adjust. I will never stay again at any Holiday Inn. You lost my business after 20 yrs. I will also pass this on to my company.

Tahlequah, OK terrible

We checked in @ 6:00. By midnight we had changed rooms 3 times. TV did not work in one room. The air conditioner did not work in hone other. The last room was a room in the farthest corner of the hotel. The air barely worked in that room. It cooled but left us just on the uncomfortable level the remainder of the weekend. Also in the third room dust on the furniture was visible in a photo taken with an IPhone. There was feces still in the toilet from the previous guests and some substance that looked like blood on the toilet and the bathroom floor. When making the reservation , I requested a room on the first floor, close to the lobby as I am handicapped. I have Multiple Scelerious and have difficulty walking. I did not bring my wheel chair as I thought the walking distance would not be as problem. The third room was in the farthest corner if huge hot. Terrible terrible experience.

I checked into the Holiday Inn Express in Warsaw, IN. on June 10th. I was in Warsaw to see my son's football camp in Manchester. After I dropped my bags in the room I went directly to the camp where I found out that my son had injured his leg. So, I dove back to the hotel to check out and drive back home but I was still charged $156.79. I never stayed at the hotel, yet I was still charged this amount!! The person at the desk said they couldn't help me, and that I would need to speak with her manager. I've tried several times to reach the manager, but she never seems to be there!! I travel for business all the time and I have to say this is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The complete lack of customer service is amazing. I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again!

Disgusting

I had a really bad experiences at Holiday Inn Express Oakwood Village. My toilet overflowed late at night. Maintenance was off duty, no other rooms were available and the front desk clerk felt the need to send me a plunger. The clerk suggested that I use the towels to get the mess up. I think that I could find better quality at a motel. Holiday Inn is not in the market of satisfying their customers.

2013 CT MOM

The Holiday Inn Bridgeport was wonderful to us the entire weekend. The food was very good, the staff very helpful & courteous. The days for us were long & tiring, so I was not surprised to find that I had left a bag of supplies behind in the room when we checked out on Sat. morning, June 8th. I was completely surprised; however, when I contacted Housekeeping, Debbie Tooley, CHHE, & she graciously sent my bag back to me promply. In my opinion, she went above & beyond to help me retrieve my items. Thanks for such quality staff. It makes the Holiday Inn stay just that much better!
