Not a happy Harley guy. Waited 20 years to get a Harley, got an 01 ultra classic on Mar. 13,on Mar. 16,back at the dealer in Taylor Mi. Was told at time of purchase that theses bikes get a thoro inspection,NOT SO!Switches broken, and some other things.8 days later I get the bike back. Because I have extended service plan,I get put"into rotation" translation,"shoved to the back wall" and get to it if we get the time. Since then it went back for a inop cruise control and motor mount issue,10 days later I go get my bike cuz I'm tired of waiting for hell to freeze over.Today back in for said problems AND oil leak AND cam compartment noise, while mechanic is looking at it he notices the oil fill cap has competitors logo, asks did I put that in there cuz they take those out when they do pre sale "inspection" and put in their own. HMMMMM... maybe it was still in there because the bike NEVER was pre sale inspected! So back to waiting for hell to freeze over. Never missed 1 payment on this bike,in fact over pay each month.Maybe I'll have it back by the time the next payment is due(just made payment yesterday) cuz if not then I'll pay when I get my bike back,in the mean time will be contacting my attorney to see how lemon laws apply... good luck Harley owners in the down river mi. area.I know where I'm never gonna buy another Harley...

Just a question short story. i bought my first new halry in years last year with 1600 miles in rochester NY. this year however i have had problems with exhaust and warrnty repairs. i was told by harvs harley in upsate ny that it would take 6 day to get header part for my bike. as of today which is the 7day they still have not recieved part to my knowledge. I just want to know why it takes so long to get parts and have repairs domne on your products and why it takes 2 -3 weeks for a dealer to get a bike in to do a repair or to change the oil on one of your motorcycles. any hlep you can give to answer this question would be great. Email address bobf90@ yahoo.com Thanks for any help you can give me to resolve this issue

Several years ago I took a piece entitled "Brotherhood Creed" to our local Harley dealer...She was very impressed with it and took it to Fl. to the regional meeting.. Several Harley executives read it and immediately called their lawyers in to protect my rights and theirs. They requested permission to take it back to Milwaukee. Since then I have tried several times to contact someone who might be able to tell me whats going on with the creed...No one seems to know anything. Can you help me with this? If they are not interested in buying it or making some sort of deal, I would like to know. Thank you in advance for your help...If you would like to read it...let me know and Ill email it to you Rick Bradshaw 217-358-3001 latergator0305@aol.com

S&P Harley Davidson of Williamstown WV fired 3 people. 1 for refusing to work on a Sunday to attend Church. And 2 for for needing to be with a family member that was critical injured in Afghanistan, lost both legs and an arm, numerous other injuries.

I have been a harley owner of 5 bikes and the trike. I bought the trike in 09, before I even got out of the shop the reverses didn't work. Very first rain, the trunk leaked, bad! Took it in the new part took 2 months to get in. Got it home and opened it, closed it, and had to take it back in as the lock would not allow it to open again. They had to drill it out and replace the door and lock. Advised them the brakes were like fingers on a chalk board with the squeal they made. Looked at the breaks, said they were fine. Continued to squeal. Reverse blew up on the bike, took it in, they fixed it and then the trunk leaked when they washed it. Advised I couldn't stand the noise the breaks made. Replaced pads, put new seal around trunk. Breaks continued to squeal. Trunk still leaked. E-brake went out twice. New trunk seal, did what harley rep told them to do with brakes. Still squeal. Rep told them the brakes where my fault although nation wide this has been an issue on the trikes. Was told I am only to use the rear brakes to shift down, otherwise not at all. Really? That's some crap, but ok. Still squeal. Been paying for a new trike that I have yet to have. Harley Corporation is ok with all this. I am stuck with a very expensive LEMON! I couldn't sell it because I wouldn't do that to someone. But knowing Harley-Davidson will, I will NEVER buy another. UNLESS, they want to stand up and either fix it or replace with one that actually works!

I have 2005 Sportster. Haven't been able to ride it for two months because it needs a new rear brake master cylinder and they are sold out all across the US with no availability information.

I purchased a 2011 Heritage Softail 28 May 2011 drove it 38 miles and the bolts came out of the sprocket and it broke loose from back tire, the bike is ruined and we could have been killed. I agree with Paris on this one, poor quality control (They do not care).

I have ordered a 2011 Low Rider from the internet that was delievered to dealership. This was in December of 2010. Today.. Jun2 1st. NOTHING. And I mean nothing has been delievered, picked up. notta.. I get.. " Oh we need to make a appointment.. day comes NOTHING... I get. We will deliever it.... Really? when? Nothing again... Seriously folks.. How "F"ing hard can this be?.. HD is a "Fortune" 500 company.. The big wigs need to check out how their dealerships are ran... It's not even a "Mickey Mouse" service. its down right Off the chart with lies, deception and BULLSHIT!!!.. I'd rather go spend our hard earned money on Jap Crap at this poing.. America disappoints yet again......

Yesterday, I picked up my 2011 Soft Tail Deluxe. I waited for this all my life and a first time HD owner. I had a more season rider go with me to pick it up. Went throught all the USUAL new veh "sales" junk and fired up the bike. WE DROVE IT EXACTLY 40 MILE-then discovered that NOT ONLY DID I HAVE MISSING BOLTS ON THE FRONT TIRE-PARTS WERE ALSO MISSING ON THE FRONT TIRE! Also, one of the foot rests near the kick stand was missing bolts and was not in two parts! THE SIMPLE FACT IS THIS LEVEL OF "SLOPPY" WORK AND QUALITY CONTROL COULD HAVE GOTTEN SOMEONE KILLED! I sent them photos of the bike via TEXT- I was told "the bike isnt safe to ride"...LIKE, ARE YOU JOKING! NO KIDDING! They sent a truck to come get it and haul it back to the dealer! Poor Quality Control, sloppy work, and this IS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED FROM THIS COMPANY! I am a first time owner and man--so this is what I get for my money! I sent them the photos I TOOK in their lot...you can see the damn front tire and when enlarged you can see where the parts are missing and loose! EVERYONE WHO TOUCHED THAT BIKE IS RESPONSIBLE! Paris, Texas Harley...damn dropped the ball on this one BIG TIME.

Im thirteen years old and all i have to say for harley is they are the most amazing motercycle ever!! Not to mention all AMERICAN! good job to the harley companys! i wouldnt ride anything else!

I have just been on the phone with Glenview Harley....The 2 rudest girls on the phone I have ever had experienced. All I want to know is if my bike is ready. They put me in Service and no one answers! Dead Silence. I thought I was cut off. These girls are so rude. All I want to know is if my nike is ready and how much money I owe. I will never ever ever go there again! HORRIBLE SERVICE. I ALSO READ REVIEWS ON YAHOO ABOUT THIS DEALER WHILE I WAS ON HOLD....A 30 MIN HOLDING PATTERN!....NOT GOOD ONES AT ALL

I've been riding for 44 years but I am a recent "graduate" of The Riders Edge program at Shenandoah Harley Davidson in Staunton, VA. I have nothing but good to say about the dealership and The Riders Edge program. My wife and I took the course together, and they made us feel welcome and part of the motorcycle community. It was a great weekend ! I would like to make a suggestion to Harley Davidson, Inc. for another motorcycle product. I would love to see a Harley that is designed from the start to be a beginner's motorcycle. Right now, you only have versions of the 883 Sportster .. which is, in my opion, too high, too heavy, and too powerful for a true beginner's motorcycle. Design and produce a "true beginner's motorcycle." Make it lightweight, low center of gravity, low seat hight, easy to handle, and with eough engine and gearing to be OK and comfortable on the Interstate highways. Make it a "True Harley" with a low slung V-twin of around 30 horsepower, total weight ~ 400 lbs., and with a seat that is soft and comfortable to ride. You would probably sell thousands and have a dedicated Harley customer from now on. Imagine, easily learn on a Harley, trade up to a bigger Harley, and then STAY on a Harley ! chief727@comcast.net

I own a 1995 Softail Nostalgia FLSTN,I love the bike to bits, generally its in great shape for its age and gets compliments wherever I park it. However it just blew the fuel crossover line that joins the two tanks together, trying to get another fuel line for the bike was impossible here in the U.K. Dealers have told me because my bike is more than ten years old Harley no longer make the genuine spares for them (try telling that story to the owners of old Rolls Royce, Bentley, Ferrari...get the picture?) More worrying is that again because my bike is more than ten years old Harley dealerships in the U.K. will not even service the bike let alone repair it! For such an iconic motorcycle I think Harley Davidson needs a real wake up call and improve their spare parts and customer relations situation as a matter of urgency.

fasthog116@aol.com whats this shit i hear about building bikes in inda, i will sell all 4 and buy a freaking honda

Harley Davidson Asheboro North Carolina SUCKS! Bought A new Harley Davidson Nightster in 2009, went down on it one time. Due to the cheap Engine Guards I bought from Harley the paint job was ruined. Also, it had the Denim finish on it. No one ever told me that NO GAS at all could get on this bike. Even before I dropped it the paint was already coming off. One person at HD told me that if the gas cap had been on there right it would not have leaked gas when I dropped it. Another told me that the gas cap is vented and this would have happened. Well, it's back in HD in Asheboro. I'm sure they'll call Corporate on this one as well but I'm going a step futher this time. I did have to put a new paint job on the bike (not HD). It had oil that had leaked out and poured down from the filter. When I took it to HD yesterday they brought me a filter out there and said it's not coming from the filter. It's coming from where you dropped it. I'm sick to death of this. Ready to leave HD, I also have a Honda I bought used. Not only does it ride better it's been dropped several times with no problem. As for the HD, the ins. company is going to be called in on this one. Everything down to the wrong Engine Guards are going to be told. If things go like I expect, they're going to try to charge me. When I spoke to them on the phone yesterday they said they could take care of the problem in just a few min. When I got it there I had to leave it which meant I had to find a way home which is about an hour away. SICK TO DEATH OF HARLEY DAVIDSON OF ASHEBORO NC

I don't recommend anyone to buy at the Harley Davidson in New York City(686 Lexington Ave). They are so rude, they don't want you to touch anything so how you supposed to buy it. They didn't even honor our HD gift card worth $80 which I was planning to use. Anyway, we ended spending our money $79.98 there because my husband is a loyal HD customer and everytime we go to any State or overseas we buy a HD T-Shirt and yes we are the proud owners of 2 HD motorcycles. Someone need to regulate them and teach them that they are not in their foreign native country. Because obviosly you could tell by their rudness and accent. I'm a latina, I know. That they are in the United States and need to upgrade their Customer Service Skills. We are planning to make more trips to NYC but not to the HD Dealer. They suck big time.

Have been riding since 1967 and only just purchased my first Harley in January 2010 a used 2007 FXD Super Glide with 4,823 km from Toronto, Ontario Harley-Davidson. Mitchell Ibbitson the sales person did a great job explaining the bike and features to me. Added an oil cooler, saddle bag supports, saddle and fork bags, engine guards, two up seat, windshield, back rest. Rode down to New Jersey and then out to Brandon,MB. Then up to Fort St. John, BC and down to Port Angeles and Burns, OR. Able to hit both Sturgis and Port Dover on the way home to Elmira, ON. Bike still runs great and I even get better mileage both city and highway that I was told it would get. The FXD now has a total of 27,312 km on it and hope to travel at least another 15,000 km this summer. Only thing I do not like is the front brakes, for a bike of this weight there should be dual disc on the front.

Bought 2008 flhtcuse!!! Nothing but problems.. dealer sucks..

I recently purchased a 2010 FLHXXX Street Glide Trike. Initially, this bike was my childhood dream come true, as I am partially paralyzed and in a wheelchair. Upon signing the papers at the dealership, I was given the familiar lies of "You are now family! If there is ANYTHING we can do, don't hesitate to ask us!" Well, I had them put on the Pingel Easy Shifter for Clutchless shifting. I was under the distinct impression, it would work as Pingel has it displayed on their website, in videos (they can be viewed at Pingelonline.com). Once I finally received my bike, I was NEVER told, that they purposely installed the handlebar mounted, push button shifter, UPSIDE DOWN. Thus, when I got it home, I did not realize I was in 6th gear at the start. Long story short, I lost control of the trike and hit a fence, thus ripping apart the left fender. My uncle (who by this time was quite pissed off)took it BACK to them, and demanded to know WHAT the fuck happened. They head mechanic over the dealership LAUGHED and said "Oh, we did it that way, so the wire wasn't sticking up, it looked tacky." So, you put a shifter clutch on upside down, give it to a guy in a wheelchair, who has NEVER been on a bike, and then think its OK to laugh, when he almost kills himself? Yeah, that didn't go well with my uncle. He and the head mechanic proceeded to get into a heated argument. THEN come to find out, they didnt even INSTALL the Pingel easy shifter completely! Instead of merely pushing the buttons to shift through the gears, you have to depress the clutch EACH time you change gears....kind of makes the damn thing USELESS. So my uncle asks them. "Why doesn't it work like it does on the companies website?" He was the n told. "connecting that part, would void your warranty, so we just didnt do it." So, now I have a bike that is not only torn up, but also quite useless to me, as I can not use it and have no way of connecting it, as it SHOULD be. In closing.......NEVER buy a Harley.
