hi i just bought a new 2012 trike from my local dealer it is the 3rd bike i have bought in the last 2 years although i love h/d and the sales ppl were awesome i have to register a complaint with h/d we bought a 30+ thousand dollar bike and when we opened the box which contained the headset for the bike there was only 1 head set.i was dumbfounded to find out that is all h/d supplies to its dealors in order to make the customer buy the second headset i felt like are you kidding me how can that be what use is the intercom on the bike without 2 headsets like i mentioned i love my bike and most likely would never buy from a differant company but i cant get over the fact that h/d would nickel and dime its customers i left the dealor very dissapointed please respond to ranzal8754@aol.com thnak you
if there was a negative star bracket i would be marking it instead of one star. I have a 2000 heritage softail classic which I have taken care to keep it looking great and running great as all biker like myself do, at 82,200 miles the engine,(heart) of my skoot started having a lower end noise after it warmed up. long story short, i took it in to be looked at and was informed it could not be repaired. so... I had a reman engine put in, since then I have only been able to rack up 1200 miles on it, and THATS OVER A 2 YEARS PERIOD, because it has had to go back into the shop for repair work, if this was my heart I would have sued for malpractice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Corporate does not care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the dealership I'm refering to is BAYSIDE HARLEY in PORTSMOUTH VA. All who read this DO NOT take your beloved bike into that shop!!!!!!!!!!! they do not care!!!!!!!!!!! UNLESS YOU ARE PATCHED. Which is cool by me, BUT BAYSIDE GIVE US OLD BIKERS WHO HAVE SERVED OUR COUNTRY AND RIDE THE SAME RESPECT. READ THE HISTORY OF THE BIG RED AND HOW THEY WERE FORMED, VETRANS RETURNING HOME FROM WAR!!!!!!!!!!!! Willie G. get out and do some QA on your dealerships(by surprize) and you will be very unhappy. I HATE TO SAY IT..... HELL HONDA TAKES BETTER CARE OF THERE CUSTOMERS THAN THE H.D. DEALERSHIPS.
I purchased an 06 sportser in Oct 2011. I had the bike 2 weeks and couldn't ride it because the motor would backfire and cut out. I took the bike back to the dealership and they had it for a month before calling to tell me that they had fixed the problem. I picked the bike up rode it home and parked it until the weekend. My wife and tried to go for a ride and the problem was worse than before I took it in to be fixed. I took the bike back in they kept it another month. Bwfore leaving the parking lot when it was supposedly running right the same thing happened. They replaced the bike with another bike which of course costed more out of my pocket than the defective one I was sold in the first place. The second bike was an 08 sportster which i was told had a race tuner on it due to the drag pipes. I bought a stage 1 air cleaner and put on it. the dealership said that i would need to have my ECU adjusted to keep the bike from overheating. I took it in for the adjustment and was told that the bike did not have a race tuner installed as I was previously told and I would need to have a download that was $279. I was also told that the handle bars on my bike were not even for a sporster and were wired wrong that the bike should have never left there like that and they would need to be rewired. I told him that was not right that the bike was sold to me with the understanding the program was already installed. Being the honset man he was he paid out of his own pocket to have the race tuner installed and the handlebars Fixed. I think it is a shame that the man that sold me the bike had to pay for mistakes made by the harley techs. I thought all used Harleys thru a dealership were gone over completely before being added to the show floor. When paying close to $10,000 for a bike and going to a dealer to insure your are getting a good bike, I expected more from a reputable company such as Harley Davidson. I am very disappointed in the experience I have had and would never even step foot back in BlackWolf Harley Davidson, if it were not for the dedicated, honset man that had to take from himself to fix Harleys problem. I will never purchase another bike from that dealership. I do appreciate what Doug has done to make things right, but believe it is unfair the dealership doesnt stand behind their product and the salesman has to pay out of his pocket to try to satisfy his customers.
i have made a decision to purchace a 2006 sporster from black wolf harley bristol va. my first harley and was goin to be my sons first one when he graduates high scxhool had so many problems i rode it a week they had it in shop for almost 2 mnths. said it was fixed me and my wife picked it up didnt even ride a day it was worst than when i took it the first time and it was knockin when i got it back well they said we have a 2008 sportster we might can do something on if i was interrested after they told me they couldnt find anything wrong with yhe 2006 i just bought from thelm so 1500 more dollars later and losing my 2 year warranty i traded they said the 2008 was a good bike had drag pipes and a race tuner on it well i bought a stage 1 air kit for it put it on they said you need to have your ecm reset when i took it to have that done it was suppose to be just a hour and they woukld be done well the next day i goto pick it up they said it doesnt have a race tuner on it and swore they never said that now this is 2 harleys in 2 months and im just a aveage man with a wife and 2 kids its a shame that a company like harley davidson wont stand by what they sell im not rich i was so happy to be able to have a used bike and a harley at that but now its like they dont want to stand behind there name you know harley davidson is a american icon and to let a family man with barley enough to get by goes out to buy a harley to pass down to his son for doin so good in school now wonderin what is goin to happen next you know with all i paid when it is said and done is around 15000.00 dollars on a used bike and still have to take it back to the dealer is really a big dissapointment harley davidson you need to step up cause if it wasnt for us the hard workin people we are yall wouldnt be in buissness today my number is 276-494-8537 i would like to talk to a main person over harley davidson cause this is really sad!
had a 2 yr. warr. on my 2005 night train. After about 14 mos. powder coating on the oil cover was bubbling & peeling - Went to Mikes famous HD in Groton Ct. where i purchased my bike , more like Mikes infamous! ordered what was needed & waited & waited. Called many times & stopped by also. The part never arrived due to a bad employee (their words) who did not order it. Needless to say i never recieved the part, my warr. was up & the employee was not there because he was fired. So much for paying for the extended warr. Thanx Mikes famous of Groton, Ct. Have heard many other negative things about Mikes. They will never get my buisness again & hopefully will not get yours!

I would give the bikes 5 stars but overall I have to the company only 3 stars. This is due to the fact that most of the mercharndise sold is not made in U S A. At the price being charged I thank they could do a better job of trying to get more american made products in there stores and keeping the jobs in the USA. Thank you.
I have a friend who lives in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He had an accident 3 months ago and since then his bike is at at the Harley Davidson in Rio for repairs. They say they don't have the parts or they are waiting for them, but it's known that the same company in Sao Paulo, Brazil has all the parts they need. The problem seems to be organization, but it's a shame. Is there a contact number of someone responsible here in the US for these dealers in Brazil that could help him in anyway? Thanks, Marcus
I bought a 2005 deluxe new I Mobile and it gave me great service until I had 60,000 miles on it, it started backfiring out of the intake and exhaust and three dealers worked on it and said [ IT'S FIXED} it still runs like it's worn out.Mobile Bay Harley, Eastern Shore Harley,Pensacola Harley all said we fixed your bike and charged me for nothing no wrenches have been turned yet, excuses and lies is what Harley Davidson is all about. If they ( HARLEY )cared anything about motorcycle owners the way owners cared about them, MEANING THE WAY PEOPLE COVERED THEMSELVES FROM HEAD TO TOE IN APPAREL advertising for them they would be a good company, but the company cares NOTHING for it's owners.I will never buy another HarDley they are a SAD JOKE,I'm stuck with a bike under warranty that wont run and cant be fixed THANKS FOR NOTHING HARLEY, I hope the JAPS take you over then you'll be a good company.
Wow!!, Harley gets all the payments for their Bike (Yea paid for). They told me they could only send the title to the address the bike is located we were in the middle of moving things to storage and hadn't found new place yet. Told them they are full of it and gave them a friends address in another state. 1-1/2 years later our friends get a notice of collection for me at their address. Just the idea it happened. How did this happen?, Only one way. That address was only given to one place one time. Harley-Davidson credit to mail title. So they are sharing your information? Be careful.........
my husband is a very generous, kind person. we have only been married 3 yrs. in that time i have been through 4 surgeries and alot of sickness, he has never spoke badly to me or my children, he is a disabled vet, & most recently sold his shovelhead (wich he had from its birth) to help pay bills n take care of me, he never puts himself first. he is constantly helping people get and stay clean n sober .i would like to show my appreciation by getting him a bike for christmas, im disabled n can not work. so i am asking begging for your help. plz help me put my husband back in the wind
I trying to find a corporat site to ask, why is there not and American flag in front of any dealership that I have been to? I pass many Jap dealerships and they display our flag but none at the H.D. dealerships. This country has been good the Davidson family and their Corporation. I would like to see the Flag flown proudly. Come to think of it I don't remember seeing a Flag inside either.
Can someone tell me if Harley even cares about the problems people are having with their dealerships service departments. After reading some of the stories...I think all they are concerned with is selling a product and once it's gone who cares with the customer thinks or the problems they are having. Harley you better wake up, your loosing good customers. If Ford, Chevy or Dodge did things like that they would have gone by the way side. Tell us Harley what can we do to take care of our problem with YOUR dealerships.
I think the owner's name of NEW ORLEANS HARLEY is Greg cook, not Gray Cook. So if any one knows how to reach him please let me know.
I have to say that I have read these problems and concerns people have had here and just read that "Note: This is not to be used to contact Harley-Davidson, Inc Corporate Offices nor is this site affiliated with them in any way. The purpose of this site is supply you with their phone number and address as well as share your thoughts about Harley-Davidson, Inc. Your review will be posted and available for anyone to read so please keep that in mind when posting personal information." I will make an attempt to contact the corprate office in the morning.....I have to say my complaint is that our service tech didn't even know that there was a difference between an EVO and a Twin Cam....I hope that you all find your faith in Harley again.
