Intimidation/Lies
I am calling your number! I am a consumer advocate/helper. GameStop is unethical! I will not lose over 400.00. because of crooks. A police report will be filed if need be.
Gamestop worst than game crazy
Gamestop worst than game crazy. The CENTERVILLE OHIO Location to be out of bussiness.
Disappointment
My 11 yr old daughter went into the GameStop at Moorestown Mall in NJ to ask about the new Skylanders game. The salesman began to tell her about Disney Infinity and how cool toy box mode is, along with other features. Being a creative person, she went with Disney Infinity, which she pre-ordered with her own $80 she had saved. She told the salesman she wanted it for her 3DS. He NEVER told her toy box mode was not available for this unit. When she found out she could not play toy box mode she wanted to get it for the Wii instead. I went on the website and submitted a request to find out how much a trade would cost and suggested I would pay to trade it for the Wii but I did not feel I should pay the full price because the product was mis-represented. GameStop NEVER responded to my request - not even to tell me a full cost trade!!! Extremely disappointed and will be buying our video game items from other retailers from now on!
Best assistant manger
I have the best assistant manger. She is so nice and thoughtful and she helps me when I have a problem.
I have the best store manager (Doug: 174004) and his employees are the best I have been going there for over 10 years now even before it was a game stop. There I am treated like family and so is everybody else that comes into the store there is no pressure to buy something, they treat you with respect and joke around with people, always help you out tell you the best ways to save money like sales and specials that are coming up. I have over 10 GS stores within 6 miles of where I live at and evertime I go to any of them or any other GS in the country the employees are terrible, you are being neglected (I will wait at the regester to pick up a game and the employee will be on cell phone, just standing there, or worst of all RUDE and attempting to pressure you into buying other games.) If more stores would hire gamers then they would do better since they have the passion for playing and talking about games.
50% more
What a bogus sale, and a joke. I went in before the promotion and then during...numbers were the same both times. What a crock! Oh and these fools act like we sit in front of our systems and tvs and play these things all the time...I'm like come on man, really? Speak english! Saginaw, TX
Franklin Gamestop
I love this Gamestop, I having been going there for years. In the last 3 years they have replaced the manager and assistant manager. I have to say the manager (Josh) is actually a nice guy. The assistant manager is nice but seems to be on break alot, I have seen him outside smoking several times (like 5 or 6 times) during one evening because I work really close to the Gamestop. I really like the guys that all work there they are all very helpful and friendly and seem to enjoy there job.
Horrible
You guys aren't giving enough hours to stores and are making employees work 10 plus hours alone without a break! That is unexceptable and against the law!
Problems
You have just released two of the best managers in North West Florida. One in Pensacola and one on the beach. Both excel ii sales and managing people and yet you lay them off. Now I read that if and Executive does the same thing they get from !00% to 200% Bonuses. Hypocrites all That would improve your bottom. Why not move them to bigger stores? That would improve your bottom line.
Corporate is my hero
You have killed your best managers in north west Florida. Unlike other listed these had the best customer service rating, best employee satisfaction rating and in the top 10% in sales nationally. Good work now who else will you put away. None of the bad ones I am sure they are paid so little. Of course they produce so little as well.
Lopst a good friend
You fired Jesse Holman for being too good at a bad store. That did not make good cent.
Go to Wal-Mart
So you lay off one of your best Managers and give Exec's raises for doing the same thing. What a pitty!
Jesse Holman
Best person I have ever dealt with and you lay him off! What is going on with you? And that DM is a true fool but, then again, he is a yes man.
Stupid move
So you lay off and Executive because he makes too much? No, he gets a raise for firing his best managers in North West Florida.
Fire the Execs and bring back Jesse Holman.
It would save you a lot of money. Better yet make the Exec;s run two stores each for a year and see how they do.
We screwed up
We should hire Jesse Holman back but I am just too proud to do it.
Jesse Holman for DM
Best manager in Pensacola and you let him go? What a lame way to save money.
Bully
Your workers seem to not really listen to the customer, they at times seem more occupied with the sale than what the customer wants. I particularly found this to be true at one of your stores on 86th street on the east side in Manhattan, NY. I was serviced by a husky and tall Asian male, who seem to not listen to what I was saying. He asked me about telephone and name information that I may have had in the system. I told him that I didn't know if my wife gave any of that info to game stop sales rep. I told him this several times and he just continued to ask and began to raise his voice, persisting that I remember if my wife had any info in the system. There was a manager and another rep who seem to ignore his growing impatience. I was angry but held my tongue and did not loose my cool. This was quickly becoming something that would have been dire for both of us. Finally the rep ask for a the spelling of the name, I gave it and he saw that my wife's info was not there and continued to complete the sale. I found this to be a bullying practice by this rep. I guess he wanted to provoke me so much that I would loose control and possible get arrested, who knows.
Don't go to any gamestop
I recently bought a used PS3 from gamestop and after 5 days the system stopped working and my brand new game was stuck in it. When I returned the system they replaced it with another PS3 that wouldn't work at all and they replaced my new game that was stuck with a used copy. I returned the second system they replaced it with another faulty PS3 and when I complained about the 3rd defective PS3 in a row, the associate told me I should "google it" to find out how to fix it, when I explained to her I had a warranty she said she didn't know what to tell me. I will call sony and have them fix it since I also have a warranty through them and I will make sure to google the nearest best buy and take my business there.
My son worked for Game Stop in Dallas, Tx until he left for college (in Louisiana). He went to the game stop near his school and asked about transferring there. He was told that he was fired from Dallas and placed on a "No Hire" list. He was NEVER fired and the manager told him that he could pick up hours during college breaks. He now cannot get a job with any other game stop (and has a negative work history that is not at all deserved) Can you say "Defamation Lawsuit"???
