FORD what do they stand for? Well if you look on the internet and type in FORD acronyms you might well find one of these, Fix Or Repair Daily, Found On Roadside Dead..... Honestly I bought a Ford Everest in 2007 not thinking about the above, only that it seemed the ideal car for me and my family in Indonesia. The first year wasn’t too bad, the cheap plastic air vents in the front broke after a couple of months and then the driver’s seat had to be replaced because it broke, obviously it’s not designed for anyone weighing around 70Kgs, as for warranty claim? Hmmmm, that took a long time and a lot of emails and phone calls. Even queried as to why the brake pads needed replacing so early after all they should last longer than 15000KM The second year was okay only the interior light and AC control for the backseat passengers fell down and the CD player always said insert disk and disk error and drivers power window switch broke and yet again a fight for warranty claims. Again brake pads replaced twice. The third year actually started very well with only routine maintenance and no dramas. Then wow!!!! By the third quarter it got expensive, we had cross joints changed, front wheel bearings, battery and the brake pads replaced twice. The fourth year.....OMG!!!!!!! Seriously this is where I started throwing money away to keep the car on the road safely for my family..... Now Ford Jaksel the dealership and workshop where I bought the car and serviced it (they say serviced) near enough every third month (5000KM) would religiously tick all the boxes and say all’s good. Until one day my wife and children are driving down the Tol road and the car just stops in the outside lane..... The timing belt had ripped itself apart, my wife rang Ford and asked for help as they were stuck in the outside lane only to be told No can’t do anything for you Madame...... So I called Union Motors who gratefully towed my car away and then repaired it. So feeling a little hacked off I wrote to Ford Asia Pacific for the second time and also went and complained to the Customer Service Manager at Jaksel, who eventually agreed to look at the car, in his defence he said the records showed that they hadn’t replaced the timing belt to which I replied, You did all the servicing and replaced all other belts and ticked the all the boxes saying you had performed the work, then also found out they had been charging me for things that they hadn’t done. A few weeks later I notice a funny noise when reversing and take the car to Jaksel once again, they told me it was the cross joint that was damaged, so I got them to replace it and off I went only now there is lots of vibration whilst driving, so much so I actually felt sick! We took the car back and Jaksel took the car for a test drive and yes they could also feel the vibration and suggested it was the road surface! WTF! I explained that the vibration had only appeared after they had worked on the car! So they then suggest it’s a wheel bearing (another one?) finally after 3 or 4 visits they replaced the main driveshaft bearing, cross joint , wheel bearing and all was fine. The then driver’s power window starts to play games as does Jaksel. A couple of months later I took the car in for its 170000KM service and Oh dear.......Brake pads again, brake disk now needs replacement, Okay do the work I said as long as you do it properly....... My driver drives off and goes to brake and he can’t! So Jaksel send a mechanic to my house and he says oh you need to replace the brake disk because the new ones were warped...... That was replaced again as was the power window assembly this time at their expense. As you can imagine I am a little annoyed with Ford by this time as in the last month or so I have spent a lot of money and my car isn’t exactly reliable. Again I wrote to Ford Asia Pacific who then pass the buck to Ford Motors Indonesia (FMI) , eventually I get a visit and lots of promises from FMI and they agree to take my car away for a bumper to bumper inspection and that they will put right all the wrongs to which I accepted. They told me maybe 2 weeks were required, I took nearly 50 days and the car broke down before it got me, so FMI took it back for another 2 weeks and finally they handed over the keys. It broke down a day later so FMI took it back and returned it the next morning in time for the school run, only by lunch time yet again it had broken down again at the same place as the day before! FMI came again, 1 week later my car is returned...... Okay it’s back only now with other problems it didn’t have before it went to FMI (external lights) and other than the obvious inability to carry out proper mechanical work on their product FMI should really learn about customer presentation as well, since grease all over the interior doesn’t look too good and neither does loose trim panels because they lost the clips or screws...... This car has been to at least 2 or 3 Ford service centres, it has taken the 72 days out of 76 days to get my car in a reasonable condition even if they damage the paint work whilst polishing it, and so far all they have proved is that they lack the ability to properly service or repair Ford cars........ So I’m sorry to say FORD does stand for Fix Or Repair Daily or even Found On Roadside Dead, please take my advise don’t buy one you’ll only regret it. Yours Sincerely Not a Happy Ford Customer.

I am a retired Nuclear Engineer. I have purchased all my new vehicles from Ford since 1981. F-150(1981),F-150(1985),F-150(1998), and Ford transit connect(2012). I was seriously considering a new F-150 ecoboost but that will not happen. Your corporate has gone down the road of GMC whom I wrote off a long time ago as not of the USA. I can assure I have no union affiliation, but when I heard you are building a 5 BILLION dollar plant in CHINA I believe Henry has rolled over in his grave. You guys have let greed outstrip your usefullness to America, and I think a lot of people in the right to work states here at home would love to have those jobs and you could ship the product TO China. I wish to thank you for all the folks in America who were paid five dollars a day so that they could afford to buy Henry's vehicles, guess he loved America more than you greedy bastards.....Do you think I will buy any more Fords?

Have a 2008 escape.at 72000 miles had to replace trannie.Had ford do the work.cost 4000 dollars.Well after we got it home notice it was leaking fluid.so called ford they said to bring it in.had to rent a car for three days.they said it was a seal.a.lso said they would not be a charge.well one week later it's leaking again.called ford they told to bring in.Had to rent a car for three days.they told me it was a seal.i told them thats what was wrong last time.they told me it was the other seal.well guess what it's leaking again have to bring it in again.i'm I will have to rent a car again.i don't no how many seals there are but with a NEW TRANNNIE nothing should be leaking.never had a leaking problem to begin with.SO FORD what is going on.I have bought a ford since 1986 you just lost another customer.

My complaint is with ford itself. You sell 2010 fusions that you know have fauly throttle boxes, while exempting them from the sixty thousand mile drive train warranty. You do not have a recall even though your dealerships acknowledge that the repairs are no garuntee for future issues. Which includes the vehicle cutting itself off while riding without any warning. And i say this from srveral recent expieriences, that were each highly dangerous, based upon location. Such as a highway, or busy interstate. I bought my fusion because they did not take bail out money. But if this is how you treat your customers i'll buy chinese for now on!

To date my new 2012 FORD FOCUS has been in the shop for 2 recalls as well as 5 OTHER ISSUES THAT ARE DEFECTIVE. SEVEN TIMES TO DATE ! The first issue was the loss of acceleration. I was almost in a total of 5 ACCIDENTS due to this issue. Granted these issues are very intermittent however CAPITAL FORD of RALEIGH NC and corporate insisted I continue to drive the car until they could figure out what was wrong with it. They obviously did not have ANY CONSIDERATION FOR MY LIFE. FINALLY AFTER 3 MONTHS and a lot of mental frustration, it occurred again and was recorded on a black box that they had installed in my car. This issue is to have been completed and fixed??? I would not know as less than 24 hours after I received the car back THE POWER STEERING LOCKED UP WHILE DRIVING THIS CAR! I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALER. In addition to the recalls and these two MAJOR ISSUES, the car has phantom lights that work when they want to; dome light comes on at any time/ center console lights come on and off at will. ALSO the A/C has sent fumes (that of a burning train transformer)out into the cabin. It burnt my eyes, it was so strong I had to pull over, put down the windows and leave the vehicle. I was advised to leave the A/C on and let the car catch on fire and BURN TO THE GROUND by one Ford Associate. BUT... this does not mean jack, according to JODY / S.E. Division Representative out of FL 866-631-3788 X77744. If the service center does not see it happen then it does not mean anything. I guess they want me to drive it for another 9 months to see it they can figure those out? It took them 3 MONTHS to see the acceleration issue. I have been trying to get in touch with some one from Ford Corp, but have been advised that the best I can do is continue to speak with JODY or her supervisor. I advised Jody that I wanted to keep my re-pore with Ford. This is NOT the FIRST NEW FORD PRODUCT I HAVE PURCHASED. I have expressed that I would like to come to an agreement with out bringing in the Lemon Law Corp Attorneys. Oh and by the way I also work for a NATIONAL COMPANY that uses ONLY FORD VANS. Well, BOTTOM LINE... I am not going to continue to pay for a car that has almost caused to to be injured just because they say I have to have the issues witnessed before they can be counted against the vehicle. Why would someone make this crap up. To date I am again in a rental, provided by Capital Ford of Raleigh, NC, ONLY AFTER HAVING A VERBAL BATTLE with Service Director Dean Myslinski. READY FOR THIS TOPPER.... The battle was because after 3 times that I have had to be placed in a rental, I was asked this time to provide a CC#. Never had to do so in the past but now I am to give them a CC# to hold in case something happens to their rental car. Ya, you got this right.. I am paying for a LEMON, that JODY says they are not considering this case as a LEMON LAW CASE. The car causes me to be flipped off, cursed at by other drivers and literally endangers my life, but FORD wants a CC# to let me take their rental off the lot. I can't drive the piece of Crap that they sold me NEW and is sitting in their garage yet they want a guarantee that the rental is totally covered. The steering part that is needed for the current repair is NOW ON NATIONAL BACK ORDER..... Maybe.. Just maybe , someone will read this and wake up to see the incredible misjudgment, bad management decisions that has been transpiring in my situation. I sure would be nice for someone to me and say FORD apologizes for all of this and would just work on MAKING IT RIGHT !!! Sincerely

here we go first of all, i would like to say ford motor company has produced some of the worst BS i have ever seen when it comes to the 5.4 Triton motor. i mean come on all your motors have spark plug issues, this leads to other money problems and you still rob people that pay their hard earned money to buy your product. you started out by recommending plugs be changed every 100,000 miles now you tell people to change them every 60,000 miles. they freaking break off in your motor which you should go ahead and add at least 1000.00 for thm to remove the head on the motor. not to mention the catilytic converters at 2000.00 a pop. i dont know whos worse you or the petroleum companies. you find a way to make your millions by the hand of your supporters and the purchasers of your product. By the way i also own a 2007 F-150 that i am now paying thousands of dollars for in repairs because of your spark plugs. soon as it is fixed i will trade it in. i still like FORD but if they cant do better than some of the stories ive read and heard about i will be a CHEVY man real soon.

Bought a used 2010 SEL Edge. Always loved the look of this vehicle. I know I did not buy the top of the line Edge; BUT you would think that for a new price of 30K this car would have a outside temp gauge and a built in garage door opener! I ususally by new; so really did not even think to make sure this car had those conveniences - very disappointed

I have just purchased a Ford-250 King Ranch and had the vehicle for 2 months and the injectors and several other problems occured. I was forced to leave my work to drive all the way back to the dealer ship in El Reno (diffee ford) to be able to get the warrant work done so I could get back to work. The first problem is that i have only had the vehicle for 2 months the second problem was when I called road side assistance to take my vehicle to the dealership so I would not miss work they were unable to locate the warranty on my truck !! third problem was when i had to take off work 1/2 day and 1 full day to get my truck to the dealership to be repaired which cost me $1900 from the lost of hours. fourth problem was when the vehicle was repaired i still had to pay another $100 for my deductable. So I was out $2000 on my truck that I have only had for 2 months due to the TRUCK having problems. Where I work the vehicle does not even get turned on or drove for weeks at a time so the problem with this truck was there when i purchased the vehicle. less than 8 thousand miles since I purchased the vehicle and 5 hundred miles was put on it having to take it back to the dealer ship in el reno where i made the purchase. This is my first ford truck and with this experience prob. my last. I had a chevy that I traded in for this ford and put 256,000 miles on the chevy and it was still running like a champ.

I just bought a 2008 ford f150 5.4 liter trition. I had it for about 2 mins and the timing chain broke and the timing sensor. So we took it back and they fixed it and now we are hearing something from the wheel on the left front of the truck!! So we think it is a wheel bearing on both sides of the truck! We took it in and they said it was dirt under the truck making the sound. I think it was BS when does mud make a sound like that in the wheel over and over again. Now today the truck started again with the timing chain and we are going to take it in monday for the fifth time. I will never again buy a truck or car from ford!!!!!!!! The next time it will be CHEVY!!! If I could give it 0 stars I would!!

On March 16, I located a Ford Eddie Bauer Explorer on the internet. I e-mailed with my personal information to the address given and was contacted that day by a salesman from McNeelyWhaley Ford in Sevierville, Tennessee. I told him I was interested in the car; was just buying; no trade. The salesman stated that the price on the internet was $1,000 less than on the lot. I told him I had been approved by my credit union for the amount needed and would come up to see the car that evening. Due to inclement weather we were unable to go that afternoon because we live in Loudon County approximately 50 miles from there. He called this morning and I explained why we couldn't get there, but we would be there this afternoon and he said that would be fine. We wanted to see the vehicle because he said he didn't have a picture for the internet. We drove up there this afternnon. When we reached the Ford place, the salesman met us outside and said there is the vehicle, you can look at it, but I think it has been sold. Just then a man and woman started loading their belongings in the car and the salesman took their license plate from their old vehicle and put it on the Explorer. The salesman said no more to us. When my husband offered his business card, the salesman brushed it aside and said I have all of your information; then turned his back and walked away leaving us standing in the parking lot. We notified the owner, Mr. JOe Whaley, but all he could say was that he apologized. I told him that the salesman had pursued us and if that he could have notified us before we made the 50 mile trip up there. We were first in line for the vehicle, but evidently that means nothing to this dealership. They prefered to make an additional $1,000.00 instead of honoring their commitment to an interested party. We intend to file an ethics complaint with the BBB and write a letter to the editor of the Knoxville News Sentinel about the rude and embarassing treatment that we were subjected to at this dealership. THIS IS HOW YOU LOSE SALES. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOUR POLICY IS BUT YOU CERTAINLY NEED TO TRAIN YOUR SALES PERSONS IN HUMAN RELATIONS. I CONSIDER THIS TYPE OF TREAMENT A SERIOUS ETHICS VIOLATION. NEEDLESS TO SAY I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THAT DEALERSHIP AGAIN. I HAVE DRIVEN A FORD FOR THE LAST 15 YEARS, BUT I THINK THOSE DAYS ARE OVER.

I have a 2002 ford explorer eddie baurer i been having alot of trouble with all 4 hub bearing, this will be my tenth set going on and costing me a arm and leg for them, not to mention i almost gotten into a serious accident because of them, second this is my fourth transmission i have put in do to your poor quality that alon has cost me 4.000 a piece to have done, I talk to other people with the same year and model having the same problem, i called to see if there are recalls and the answer was no. WHAT THE HELL YOU WAITING FOR, FOR SOMEONE TO GET KILLED. I am hiring a lawyer to sue ford motors company on the crap you are selling and the suffering i have from paying out so much money. the next letter i write will be from my lawyer on to appear in court.

Dear Ford Motor Company CEO Alan Mulally First of all I like to give you an honor and appreciation for doing your excellent job as a CEO for the Ford Motor and became the man Of the year 2010 in the U.S. A couple of weeks ago, I had an opportunity to discuss with My small group in our office for the FREE TRADE AGREEMENT With U.S. and Korea. One of my learned colleague, John Choe told me about this and he wanted to communicate with the CEO for the Ford Motor. In my opinion, one of main reason for the U.S. for having this Agreement is exporting U.S. automobiles to Korea. I am a Korean-American who came to U.S. in 1977. I was a very young college teacher at late 20th and after came to U.S. I did all kinds of jobs and businesses but all the time I continued to study in various subject so then I could graduate one of law school in the U.S. and acquired J.D. degree and almost finished doctor of business administration courses and many self studies. Honestly I became somewhat well known to Koreans in the U.S. and Korea through internet. In short, The very reason why I am writing this letter is to learn more about the plan for the export automobiles to Korea and possibly to assist you in this plan. At this time, I wanted to show our interest in this plan and manifest our intention to get into this plan if you and company are willing to invite us on your planning table. Thank you for your time and concern. Best Regards David S. Ro J.D. President at SEATTLE COMMERCE USA 19410 36th Ave. W. I bought a used 2002 mercury couger that needed the ideling adjusted and told the mechanics about a gas leak from the gas tank. I took my vehicle to the Ford dealership in Scottsboro AL with the understanding that the mechanics there specialize in Ford vehicles. They told me that the ideling sensor valve needed changing and that the fuel leak was from the engine and th o rings needed changed so i told them to fix it since they are the "PROFESSIONALS" HA! Two days later I had to take it back because neither problem was fixed. This was on a Thursday they promised me my car by the following Monday at the Latest Tuesday. I didn't hear back from them until Thursday. The head mechanic is now telling me that I need a gas tank. I told him not to worry about the gas tank right now because it was not affecting the performance of my vehicle I just wont fill it up. I get my vehicle from the shop and run a few errands in town. I drove maybe 20 miles and I be damned if it didn't start ideling high again. I go back to the dealership to try to resolve the ideling problem that was suppose to be fixed twice already $950 later and Jeff, the head mechanic told me that the problem was i bought a ten year old car and he couldn't promise to fix the problem that I had already paid for twice without any further charges. I will be contacting another mechanic, the BBB, and my lawyer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I bought a NEW Ford Focus 2012 back in August 2011. We looked for months to make sure we were getting the right vehicle for ourselves and family that we have to shuffle around many times a week to doctors and other appointments. We decided that a brand new car would be the best bet so we would not have any worries. BOY WERE WE EVER WRONG!!!!!! This car is a LEMON!!!! Very first day on the way home from dealership it started leaking. The next day we had a 3 inch puddle of water in driver floor board, water was pouring in and running through dash board down to floor. It poured rain for two days so I could not drive my car because of the puddle. Finally back in service the WATER DOCTOR found there was no gaskit put on the roof around the seem. One week later the radio would not turn off even after exiting the car with doors closed and no key in ignition. It would gradually turn it self up to almost highest volume. Service did a REPROGRAM! Within another week the clock would not keep time and the SD Navigation keep saying default. Service did another REPROGRAM!! Things seemed to be looking up for a few weeks then the next time it rained my right windshield wiper stopped working and the My Sync was taking Forever to come on. Service found that there was an open wire in my dash that was not properly covered so the water made the wiper short out. Good thing it did not catch FIRE! OH YEA, service also did YET ANOTHER REPROGRAM!!! Last week when it was 17 degrees here in my state with wind chills of 5! my heater decided not to work and the SD Navigation Card is asying default AGAIN! Why can't Ford get this right. They are making a mockery out of American made vehicles. I no longer have faith in Ford and would not recommend one of there vehicle to the DEVIL himself muchless any other human. 5 months in this BRAND NEW CAR I have had more trouble then the 10 used cars put together that myself and my husband have owned previously. PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

Engine blew on our 2008 Ford F350 with 33,646 miles - Ford denied claim based on "lack of maintenance" even though we provided a maintenance schedule. Took 15 weeks to get an engine for this truck (v-10). We are the third person in a 30 mile radius at this same dealership who had a similar problem with a Ford truck. All 3 times warranty work was denied for "maintenance" reasons. We think that Ford's warranty isn't worth the paper its written on!!

I recently purchased a 2012 Ford Edge Sport in October of 2011. Much to my surprise I have had nothing but problems with the SYNC & Navigation that has probably worked for only 2 weeks total. I have been back and forth to the dealership about 4 times and they are telling me that there is currently no fix to solve my problems. To further my frustrations I am now experiencing a loud ticking noise under the hood that I am concerned about as well. I wonder if this is another Ford blunder or if this is something that can be fixed..... I have always been a loyal Jeep owner but for some reason the sleek design of the Ford Edge caught my eye. If I would have known of these issues I would have continued with my Jeep purchases. If someone is going to spend almost $50,000.00 of their hard earned money they should be able to purchase a vehicle that has very few issues. To date I have heard nothing what so ever from any Ford representative regarding my problems. At this stage I really am not sure if I would ever purchase another Ford product or even recomend Ford to family or friends............

I have had to replace the Electronic Air Temp. Control head in my '03 Crown Vic. twice and am now having to do it a THIRD time due to the piece of junk the "engineers" at Ford designed. This past is close to $1,000.00 in cost including installation. Their customer assistance is absolutely worthless and I am convinced the Blue Oval is a suppository they shove in you when you need assistance. My next car will probably be a Cadillac or a Charger. It's small wonder the Japanese cars a FAR better rated than anything Henry Ford's company manufactures.

?I have a 2010 king ranch f 250 6.4 diesel. I would like to know if anyone is happy with theirs? I have heard nothing but problems with them. Please restore my faith in ford and let me know that the majority are doing okay.
