I was in your family Dollar Store #7043 on april 21.. Me and Mom was in the store yesterday ask for help from the customer rep in there.. I ask her where was the wall sticker she said they did have them in here every store have different stuff that's not true .. So I walked in the store found the wall sticker...the other young lady was do application in the store on the clock she couldn't help me or my mom doing other things in the store that didnt concern family dollar. I thought when you come to family dollar they suppose to assistance you wherever you looking for... Not with attitude the girl had attitude she was not helpful at all.To me we had to look for things by our self.. that's not good customer service ..I ask her did they have any types of burners for the overn in the store her words they over there.. which she should said maam let me show you where they at... I would never set foot in that store again.. you need to talk the young lady in your store #7043 they where very rude.. a lady was in the store shopping ask my mother did she need a basket . she was a customer.. seem like the lady in store would have said that, but she so busy on the filling application during busy hours... I just want you to be aware of what your customer service employee doing in store #7043 at the time of 18.27 pm ... my mom bought 30.00 worth stuff in that store.. I would tell any of my friends to show at that store..

Just wanted to let the consumers that shop in Quinlan Tx. at the Family Dollar located at 9003 State Hwy 345 Quinlan, Tx. 75474 phone # (903) 356-2420. With cashier Tommy ( a female) is a very rude and unconsiderate person. I was in the store and a female, won't say lady, cut in front of me in line, I told Tommy that she had cut in line in front of me and she couldn't care less. I ask her, So I just told you that this customer just cut in line and you are really going to reward her by ringing her up. She looked at me like what do you want me to do. I left my items at the register, and you can believe I will never enter that store again. The least thing I expect is to be treated with fairness. I called up to the store and evidently it was Tommy who answered because she said with laughter, it's that women now wanting to speak with a manager. That right there tells you she dosen't have the mentality to be working with the public. I hope the corporate office reads these posts because there store need help with hiring people like this. You can believe you just lost this costomer for life.

Im writing to your company about a incident that occour at your location 883, in georgetown, Ohio. You have a cashier name Judy, who was swamp by customers, and another employee came by and didnt even help her out, you could see she was overwhelm and the cashier needed assitant for a voided or something and the manager didnt even asstiant her and walk away, I think her name tag said Lisa not sure. The other employee who didnt help didnt even have a nametag on!!! I felt like if your company cares about their customers then they should jump in and help each other out. You might want to see whats going on in there because every time i go in that store that poor woman is working to death!! I hope that if you want my business and other customers business you will do something about that management and store.

Ummm when you come up to pay for your stuff with your debit card, don't scream at us cause it charges you to get cash back!!! THAT'S NOT OUR FAULT OR OUR CONTROL!!!! I'm so tired of being screamed at by customers cause cooperate decides to charge a dollar to get cash back. We did not make that decision to charge that. YOU DONT LIKE IT, TAKE IT UP WITH COOPERATE! WE JUST FOLLOW WHAT THEY TELL US!!!! You come in and scream and rant at us like that was our decision and that your ranting at us going to change that specially all you "loud outspoken" people.

The new manager at the Family Dollar Store in Sweetwater, Texas is really rude and very unhelpful, constantly out of your regular products. I have shopped the Family Dollar Store here in Sweetwater ever since it opened. and never had such bad experiences as I have since you got rid of the old manager and got this new hateful one. I asked her a price and she said I don't know with an attitude and when I looked at her she said I guess you want me to go check right real hateful. I went yesterday to get my nose spray your brand and my spray starch which was the majic starch and she was out and said don't know when they will send it. now i guess i will have to go to the kmart or walmart as it is really bad at your store and there is alot of people that has said the same thing to me.

IF THE SERVICE AT YOUR NEW STORE IN LEESBURG,FLORIDA- SCHEDULED TO HAVE GRAND OPENING APRIL 16TH, IS AN INDICATOR OF WHAT I HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO, THEN YOU MIGHT AS WELL CLOSE IT DOWN NOW. THE SERVICE IS THE WORSE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. ONE CASHIER, TWO LINES OF CUSTOMERS, ONE YOUNG MALE CLERK LEFT LEAVING MANY (16 TO BE EXACT) CUSTOMERS TO EITHER STAND AND WAIT OR AS I DID, JUST WALKED OUT. SOMEONE IS ASLEEP AT THE SWITCH. LOUSEY TRAINING AND NO REGARD FOR POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS. I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT IN THIS DAY, UNEMPLOYEEMENT IS AS LOW AS IT IS AND YOU CAN'T FIND HELP OR YOU JUST DON'T HAVE ANYONE TO TRAIN. I GIVE UP ON DOLLAR GENERAL.

My family spends hard earned money weekly at family dollar because we like the bargains ,however we do not like being charged for cash-back on our debit card..There are other terrific bargain stores..Signed shoppers

Needing to stop by the store for hosiery, but found I did not have my debit card. Having shopped at family dollar on several occassions noticed posted signs on pay systetms was told they don't take checks after I walked thru the store to find things so that I won't just pay for one item. I came on this site because I would love to have a Family Dollar in my community. I live on the west coast and everytime I travel I look for certain stores......Family Dollar is one of my favorites.I have shopped at numerous stores in various states. I consider myself to be the fomer customer from he-double hockey sticks. I relate to both sides of the negative comments I have read based on my life expirence. It takes two tango. I have had good positve shopping trips. The majority of the stores I have visited were clean and well staffed. The employees were friendly and helpful. When I did encounter rudeness I gave as good as I got just as my rudeness was not tolerated. Needless to say in either situation I left the store with a positive resolution. Despite the overwhelming negative comments I have read I am more determined to bring the first Family Dollar to my community in my city.

Well, I went to our local Family Dollar store and tried to use the $5 off $25 in sales and I had a $.55 coupon too. The cashier tried to scan the coupon before scanning the product. Well, of course, it would not take it. I tried to tell her, but she called store mgr and he said override it. Then, while he was there I told him she didn't know how to do the $5 off. Well, he didn't either. He Called another store and talked with them and then hung up and told me I would have to go to another store to make my purchases. I just looked at him, then grabbed my drivers license and went home and sent email to company. District mgr called me and promised me he would have store mgr call me to apologize and that he would see to it that I got my $5 off purchase. That was 3 weeks ago Haven't heard a word from the district or store manager since. So, CORPORATE, GET ON THE BALL HERE.

I have always shopped at Family Dollar in my hometown which is Hollandale, Ms. but now they have hired one of the most rudest cashiers I have ever met. She is rude and I believe she is a liar. I have reported her to corporate office and I am waiting to see when and if anything will be done concerning this person.

The manager @ family dollar name pat in monroe nc has the worst attitude. Family dollar corporate headquarters must put a stop to this kind of representation for their company.I'm hoping that you take in consideration for a person like pat@ store#4241 be discipline for her actions. If it's not for people like us this wouldn't be a company for her to have a job.

Well the Store in Rural Hall has pretty good service! There is like 8 people that work in there, & most of them are nice. There is one who can be moody, Amber or Amy or something, but yea, like Mondays i go in there on my way home from my 3rd shift job & she is always mean! The rest of the week she is fine though. The Manager, Debbie?, is sweet, but she is in there seriously like every night! Another girl is Gina, she seems sweet, ive talked to her before. Also there is a single guy working there, if there is any other males working there, ive never seen him, but his name is Jesse or Jason, he is usually helpful, unless he is busy & doesnt have help. And there is a pregant woman named Nikki, she is usually pretty cool but i hardly ever see her. & there is a short black haired lady, i cant ever remember her name, but she is very sweet, see her only like once or twice a month though. But one other thing is during the summer it is always so HOT in there!! Dont they use the A/C? Oh well, thought id put in my 2 cent!

I worked at family dollar and when I was going to be promoted I got fired. Their reasoning for it is that I laid on my application, but I worked there for six month. Now the store is under the age of 27, from the store manager down. I had 13 yrs on the store manager. Family Dollar dont care about your family but they care about your family's last dollar!!!!!!!!!

I have shopped the Family Dollar in Walnut Ridge Ar. since it opened about 14 years ago. I have to say this is the worst manager in the world to have in a store.She has no customer service skills what so ever! I have never seen this store look so horrible!!!! The old manager kept this store spotless and always neat and clean!! What happened to her? I would love to see her back at this store.. This new manager is rude and just plain goofy!!!!! Dont think I will shop here again. You can barely walk through this disorganized mess!!!!! Every time you go in, there are all new employees? Theres something wrong with that!Why can't she keep help more than a month or so?? Shes not a manager at all.She just gets a paycheck!! Thanks

Hey Monica if we wanna go outside in the back and smoke, WE HAVE THAT RIGHT AND WE CAN USE IT!!! You act like we don't have any rights in the work place and that we can't go smoke on our break and that it is illegal! Stop going off the state and try working with this company and you will see!

my daughter is a employee of one of your stores and is being verberly abused by her manager. he is taking advantage of her good personality, and if it does't stop I'm going to step in. He is an alcholic and never shows up on time. He needs to be brought up on charges but she is affraid for her job. please respond to my comments

I have been working in family dollar for almost 2 yrs, and not only is the customer service horrible but so our the manangers! My manager is the worst..she leaves me alone by myself so she can drop her kid off at daycare while she's on the clock! And the so call corporate doesn't do shit about it! I already reported something else she's done but if the corporate wont do anything I will! So please district managers when you hire a new manager make sure they know English and can read it also! I'm not racist but come on this lady asks her employees to read the emails for her!

i am so tired of being slaved to death by this company! they do not give two craps about how people have a life other than this company and do not care if you want to do something outside of work once in a wile, its always a NO! even if there are 10 people employed at one store, nope, cant do sorry. I am so sick of being dogged to death by this company and being denied a friday or saturday off every once in a wile but im always denied because of the stupid truck! hello,we have a life besides family dollar! and this company does not seem to care at all and im getting tired of it. this company enjoys working everyone long aggervating hours and does not care two craps that their employees have a life. you sign up for this job, your signing your life to them. say bye to your life..And the rude @$%$%%# customers have gotten on my last nerve. ANND, do not come on friday thinking that we have everything out in one day, it does not work like that. you people must think we have super powers...AND DONT ASK US TO LOOK FOR ANYTHING IN THE BACK STILL BECAUSE WE'RE JUST GOING TO SAY NO...AGAIN! TOO MUCH TIME WHEN THERE ARE OTHER TASKS TO BE DONE.. One other thing, DONT come in at 8:55pm and grab a buggy and go shopping, we are tired and want to go home after a long 8+ hour day and yes we should have the right to tell you that you have 5 or 2 minuets before closing cause at 9:00, doors locked, we're closed and then you have them people come up to the door and ASK if we are closed, NO WE JUST LOCK THE DOOR FOR FUN! how much more dumb can it get? when the store hours are posted on the door.. most of the customers are crybabies when they dont get there way on a price or certain product and are so quick to call cooperate, The managers are bullys and if things don't go there way they cry and make you work more hrs just because you said something then you get slaved to death if you say something about having something to do outside of work on a certain day. this company is slavery period. and if your rude to me, i feel i should have the right to be rude right back and not be talk to like a dog from a customer. I was explaining a task to a new co worker and a customer asked them a question, finished then looked at me and complained and I got in trouble! WHAT IS THAT?!?! I didn't even say anything!! So pretty much the customer can spit and slap you in the face and they get to get away with it?! The customers are NOT always right and DO NOT have the right to get away with half the crap they cry and moan about and get away with!!!!! By the way, WE DONT TAKE FREE COUPONS! My store is located in MI.
