307 Reviews For Dollar Tree Headquarters & Corporate Office

Doug at the Dollar Tree in Klamath Falls, Oregon, a general manager, asked me to leave 16 months ago because I was bouncing a ball for a crying child to make him giggle. I called him a douchebag and he called the police. After 16 months, well over the one year trespass handed out for shoplifters, I called the police station and asked if the trespass had expired, they told me there was no trespass on file and I should be able to go back as long as I didn't do anything stupid. I went in today and bought an 8 pack of aaa batteries and again had the police called on me. I don't know where you get your petty, punk, scumbag management but as I can see from the other stories listed here you have a serious problem with hiring losers with god complexes. This is getting to be funny, but funny in that sad way that you feel sorry for a retarded kid screaming pussy in church. Pathetic.

i have worked for dollar tree for a long time and have found that if you are good friends with district manager that you get away with anything. i took the job as freight manager, shortly there after i heard our most recent freight manager wanted to come back. i was told that i was going from full time with benefits to part time no benefits. and that i was expected to do more than the old manager. i stepped down then found out that the district manager( who is old friends with the prior freight manager)went into the system and made it look like the prior freight manager had only taken a leave of absent. he returned with full benefits, and full time and he is not expected to do what i had to do. i did not get credit for time worked in that postion. no acumalated time for vacation or sick leave. dollar tree in wenatchee washington will take advantage of you.

To Whom it may concern: I worked as an employee of DT for two years 2008-2010. I worked in Neenah, WI. and i loved every second of it.The management was great and so was the store itself! constantly clean and tidy, the district manager said it was probably the best looking store in the district. While working there i was given the opportunity to be a assistant manager and that as soon as the position opened up at the store than i would be it. I then went on to learn and mastered all opening and closing procedures, drawer counts, safe drops...etc. Before i had a chance to become assistant manager i ended up having to move to Bullhead City, AZ. (i believe it was AUG or SEPT) The store there was hiring at the time and since i had experience hired me on right away. (Here's where things went down hill) The moment i stepped foot into the store in AZ, i saw that it was the most filthy nasty store i had ever been in. I worked there for about a month. Whilst employed there i tried to make a difference for the better of the store, trying to make it look nice. However at any attempt to do so i would be told to not worry about it because there was no time and to focus on my job! On top of that they were treating me like i was a new hire when i notice that i knew more about the company then most of the assistant managers there. I couldn't take the carelessness any longer and i quit. The only thing i did wrong was quit without notice and i was automatically put on a non-rehire-able list. I am now located in Conway, AR and there is a store that i went to apply at and that's when i found out about the "LIST" and they said because i had so much experience as a DT employee that they would hire me probably right away if i wasn't on the list. Please if someone has the power to do so please remove my name from the "list" so i can work for DT again and i will be very Happy and thankful THANK YOU, CARL D GRADY (JR) dubhghlas_ogradaigh@hotmail.com

This is the worst company ever!! They treat employees like shit! They are out for themselves including the Dm. and higher ups. Its all about the money in there pocket. If you are considering employment here....Run as far away as possible. You will never get paid what your worth! They use you and then they cut you, because you know to much! They are nice to your face and then stab you in the back.

On 08/10/2011 i visited store number # 333. As i was walking down an isle I had to push a cart full of random things out the way so i can continuing looking around. As i was pushing the cart out the way I had noticed a phone laying on top of the items in the cart. I picked it up and was about to have one of my children walk it up to the register when a man dressed in a dollar tree uniform comes around the corner and states with a firm voice " put my phone down please". As he was walking up to me I was explaining to him that we were trying to return the phone up front. He did not acknowledge what I was saying. He grabbed the phone from my hand and walked away. I was shocked at his behavior and actions. My children even said he probably thought that we were going to steal his phone. I finished shopping in the store and walked up to the register. At this point i noticed the same man across the register from mine doing something. I had asked the lady that was ringing me up if the man standing on the other side was a manager. she replied yes. at this point i had confronted the store manager " Michael" by letting him know that his customer service skills was not up to par and that he did not even acknowledge or thank me for attempting to return his phone to a safer location. He replied back by saying" now a days so many people do not return phones" not I'm sorry or thank you. in a nut shell he accused me of the possibilities. I didn't bother going back and forth with him at this point and walked out of the store after purchasing my items. I am very disappointed at the lack of Customer service skills a manager had to offer.

I recently was in a dollar tree on a Saturday 7-23-11 around 12:00 at 2458 Mountaineer Blvd., South Charleston. It was very poor customer sevice I will never go in that store ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When going in there everything was fine but when I went to check out was horrible service. I had probably $50.00 to $60.00 worth of stuff in my buggy. They only had one regesiter open and there was a line clear back to the end of the store. There was customer complaining asking to speak with a manger because it was bad mangement to leave her all by herself at rush hour. The cashier got very snippy and said "Its better then going to walmart!" I'm sorry I have never had such bad service at walmart before. So a couple minutes later the manager walks thru the door and opens up a register and it fast then, but when my mom and I got up to the check out the cashier proceeded to talk to the manager about what just happen. She restated about its not as bad as walmart. I told her that walmart is never like this. Instead of her saying she was sorry to upsetting me she just ignored what I just said and kept on with the manger what happen. They started to say "there is always one rude customer in the crowd!" I turned to the manger and stated that it was very unprofessional for them to be talking kbad about the customers infront of customers. The manger clearly satated that she did or said anything wrong. Thats when I said "Yes she DID!" The manger said "NO She DID NOT!" Then the cashier told me she didnt say the customers name well that shoouldnt matter because you dont ask for a person name when checking them out so you could talk bad about them. Then iI proceded to say the " I will NEVER come back into this store ever again!" They just looked at me and said thats your oppion. I also said I would be contacting the corporate office because i have never been treated so badly in my life. The manger told me to go right ahead because they did nothing wrong. Then we decided we didnt want that stuff there anymore and was walking out. The cashier then followed us out the door and said very angrly "I cant believe this!" And she thru down the green Dollar Tree baskets down where all the other baskets were. I am 26 and I have work with the public sometime and they all ways tell me "Customers are always right even when there wrong!" There was a simple soulition to all of this when she knew it upsetted me when she said "Not worse then walmart!" She should have apologized to me and waited till I was out the door. But no the cashier and the manager had to agure with me. What if that was my aunt they were talking bad about? They didnt know if we were related or not. They should wait till all the customers are out of the store before talking bad about them. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT STORE EVER AGAIN. You can bet I will be telling all my friends and family NEVER to go there because they are very rude to you and dont kow how to treat there customers. I hope something gets done about this because if not you will be losing alot of business if this is how they treat there customers.

I was told yesterday at my neighborhood Dollar Tree in Tucson, AZ on Grant and 1st Ave to be exact, that I could no longer purchase more than three Sunday newspapers. The sales associate continued on to tell me how "Corporate" sent a mass email which all employees had to sign stating they would uphold the rule or be terminated. I very nicely asked her if "Corporate" was aware of the many Arizona Daily Star employees who have just been ternimated due to the lack of newspaper sales. It would clearly make more sense for " Corporate" to buy more discounted newspapers to sell to their customer instead of having their employee tell customers that "due to papers being sold out in the afternoons the evening people are sending emails and complaining to "Corporate" enough to make "Corporate" put new a policy in place. Limits on only newspapers. I was under the false impression the Dollar Tree encouraged buying in bulk. IRONIC!

Since I am a Veteran teacher (21 years), I can not get enough of your merchandise. It is affordable and of a decent quality. Given all the educational tough economic times and always more and more 'budget cuts', your store not only has the 'Teaching Tree' items, but so many other items for classroom and school purposes. In fact, I would like to make you an offer. I recently started taking pictures of the items I have made for my classroom and students. I have also started taking pictures of how to use the Dollar Tree merchandise for classroom efficiency, effectiveness, and overall organization. I would like to have them displayed or in a catalog in a few of your Tampa stores for teachers to use as a reference tool/guide; so that they, too can be creative and organized without 'breaking the bank'. I would include pics with a brief summary of the item uses, purposes, construction (if needed), and materials with an estimated costs. I would also include how long the item should last and reusing items for new project or idea. Of course this would always be a work in progress and a new display or catalog would be updated monthly. Well, think about it..... dianerhodes2001@yahoo.com Perhaps, you will take a peek......

I made a purchase on plastic garment bags, sweater bags and for blankrts. This product is not strong enough to do the job. the blanket bag ripped so did one of the garment bags. thankfully I did not open them all. Not anticipating a problem I threw my receipt away. I tried to return the merchandise twice I finally caught up with the manager but was not allowed to return the merchandise for an even exchange. Is your policy for inept merchandise one where the consumer is stuck with flawed merchandise? I bought these units, trying to organise my closets. The product is inferior even for your standards. I hope we come to an amical resolution. With regards to this situation. respectfully, Joyce Dyer jaelene812@yahoo.com 973-484-7819

i was in the store in owatonna ,mn the lady thatwas checking was laughing and talking to another imployee there were people waiting in line, one of the customers said can we please get some help the girl came to the checkout and called the lady a bitch, the customer said keep you stuff and left so did a couple more customers it was terrible, and were was the manager no were in sight she sould of been fired on the spot.THAT IS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE,KEEP IT UP

Today is July 14th, 2011. I purchased a few items from store #00378 in Pine Bluff, Ar. and handed the clerk a twenty dollar bill to pay for said purchases. I took the change and receipt and stuck all in behind the few bills I had left in my wallet and started walking out to my car. I realized before I got to my car that I did not get the correct change back. I had just got a $50.00 check cashed and had two twenty dollar bills and and four ones left after eating lunch the day before. I checked my wallet and I only had one twenty and the ones left. Realizing I was short changed I turned around and went back in to check with the clerk who had rung up only a $10.00 receipt from me. I do not lie and tried to be as nice as I could about the mistaked. The manager came and checked his cash register, first saying that he was only $5.00 over, I assured her they owed me $10.00 and she asked me to come into her office(which by the way was the worst "office" I had ever been in.) and she proceeded to tell me they could not give me my money back as she had rechecked his register and it showed there was no mistake. Why would it show a mistake if he only recorded a $10.00 and gave change from that amount. I do not know what happened to the other $10.00 I was due . I was so upset that I began to have fast heart beats and sweating because I know I was in the right. Finally, the manager said shw was going to give me $10.00 out of her personal funds as she did not want to lose her job and she did not want the employee to lose his. I thanked her and hope she gets her money back. I have seen some clerks in the store let people get by without paying for some items but when I said something I was told they had alread paid. ?????? The manager of the store is Jennifer McBride and the cashier was DarShun. I really like the store and am very frugil about my spending. I will continue to shop there but believe me I will be more3 careful and check my receipt and items and refund before leaving the line. Even if there are twenty people still in line. There is always a line and only one cashier most time . Wish they could hire more.

Dollar tree need to hire more professional and competent managers. They hire people under false pretence. The managers hire you only to set up the store and once the store is open they claim they have to cut staff. The store just opened, how are you cutting staff one week into the opening already.

I SHOP AT YOUR STORE LOCATED AT 19339 SOLEDD CANYON RD SANTA CLARITA CA 91351 AND AM VERY UPSET THAT THEY DO NOT PROVIDE REST ROOMS FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS. OUR COMMUNITY HAS SEVERAL EDLDERLY PEOPLE WHO FREQUENTLY HAVE NEED OF REST ROOM FACILITIES AND ARE FORCED TO QUIT SH0PPING IN YOUR STORE. IF YOU REALLY APPRECIATE OUR BUSINESS THESE FACILITIES NEED TO BE PROVIDED. THANK YOU, PAT

Dollar Tree Stores in Raleigh area are evolving in terms of Store Space to accomodate the varieties of merchandise sold. There are still DTI stores that are just too SMALL for business.I am specifically talking about the Dollar Tree Store #324 located at Wilders Grove Shoping Center off New Bern Avenue. The District Manager for this Store must do something quick and pragmatic. The store is crowded and needs to be relocated to larger vacant store space in same Shopping Center. I hope that the relocation to larger store space will increase store profits. Please,do take action as soon as practicable.

If there was an option to put 0 stars i would!!! I tried to ask this snippy, onry, heavy set lady if i could exchange some plates, because i bought the wrong color? She had this very annoyed look on her face, kept on doing what she was doing, she did not have any eye contact and she snaps back " Do you have a receipt?" i replied "I don't thats the problem, can i just exchange for some different ones?" Well...... the hag just walks off and goes to her counter and continues ringing up customers, keep in mind i am just standing there with plates in my hand and no answer or attempt to fix my problem! So i ask again, "So is there any way that i can exchange these?" She yells across the store at me ( i am by the entrance where she was blowing up some helium balloons, and she is at the registers helping customers) "Only if you have a receipt!!" I was so confused, humiliated, angry and just in shock!! I have never, ever been treated so poorly in my life!!I walked to my car with my husband and children in the car, and burst into tears. I was trying to tell the story to my husband, and still can't believe how humiliated i felt!! I will never in my life visit the draper, Utah store #2630!!! I warn you MANAGER Tammy!!! i will find a way to get you in trouble!! NO ONE can get away with treating customers that way!! NO ONE!!!

On June 6, 2011, My Mom and I had intentions of doing some of our weekly shopping at our local Dollar Tree that we hadn't been to in quite awhile. Store #130 is located at 7650 State Avenue, in Kansas City, KS. But, after entering the store all our shopping expectations faded fast. The store was in total disarray, filthy, disorganized and definitely one of the most disgusting, disappointing sights I think I have ever seen in a retail store. It was unbelievable!!! Of the several items on my list I had intended to purchase, I was so appauled at the condition of the store that I left with just a couple items. My Mom refused to buy anything because of the diplorable condition of the store. I approached a couple of sales associates to see if I could get some answers on why the store was in the condition it was before I left. Their answer was," the store began to decline and conditions became worse after new management took over about a year ago." It was hard to believe that a store could be in that kind of condition within just a little over a years time. It's definitely apparent the store has been totally neglected. I hope somebody affiliated with Dollar Tree or somebody with some clout reads this and will be willing to follow up and check this facility out because I will not stop here. It's a health issue and affects the welfare of the community and needs to be addressed now.

I have recently applied at your store on southern ave in rio rancho nm thay had a sighn in the window saying that thay were looking for help so I applied the hiring manager was in and went over to talk to him about a job he told me he was hiring but just took over that store he told me to come back ina week so I did been back five other time's since last time I went in he told me he hired some people why did he have me keep comming back if he was not going to hire me I feel like I was discriminated against gas is not cheep and I feel that I showed more than eneougj intrest in the job to be given a chance to work there did I mention I went back six time's
