HAD NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE STORE WAS GETTING SHOPLIFTED AT THE TIME DUE TO NO STAFF WORKING..ITS A SHAME THAT A BRAND NEW STORE CAN GO DOWN HILL FAST...I WILL GO BACK TO WAL-MART..

If you guys are going to expand with grocery stuff, you NEED to accept Mastercard. You just lost business with me for not doing it, and lots of future business, just from me.....

I was terminated from 1161 for being pregnant and put on light duty while the assistant manager ended up on light duty the manager covered for her

I work at one of your stores and the manangers all but one of them are always outside smoking. you can hardley find them when you need them. i have had several complantes on them from coustomers that i check out. your manager at this store does not know how to manage a store. in an 8 hour day employees should get 2 15 min breaks and a 30 min lunch. they (the manager and other employees) go outside often enough that they smoke a whole pack of ciggs. one coustomer told me that one time she needed to be checked out and so she stepped out the door and told them and she was told that someone would be in there in awhile to check her out. this is not how a store should be run.. they do not know how to do facing in this store. they don't care how the lables look. you can go to tbe back of the store where the dog food and cat food is and it looks like crap. all but 3 maybe 4 of the employees are rude. you need to get someone in there that knows how to run a store and knows how to treat coumstomers.

I live beside your dortches nc store and it is beyond messy. I clean up atleast a garbage bag full of trash a week that blows into my yard from your store. I have carts in my yard an they have even hit my car I havv even contacted customer service about it but nothing is ever done. You would think they would put up some type of fence to keep these things from happening but it appears that's to much to ask from a multi million dollar company

I shop at the Dollar General in Kansas City MO, 11118 Blue Ridge. I shop for African American hair care products on a regular basis. Today(2/25/11) I visited the store and asked where a certain product was being kept. I was told that because of the high volume of thefts of Black hair care products, they will be kept in their storeroom and Black customers have to ask, then wait for an employee to go get the product. This is a dumb way to stop shoplifting. Now, this product along with other Black hair care products won't be sold at all because customers will assume they are out of stock. I have made a formal complaint. If this is not resolved there will be a public complaint.

I stopped at Dollar General in Marmet W.V. to purchase a foldable zipper bag and was very pleased to find the one I wanted. Upon arriving at the check out the bag rang up .01. The cashier called up the manager and the manager siad it was not for sale and threw it in the trash. Being a non controversal person I left the store. Upon thinking about it I decided to turn around and insist they sale it to me. I took it out of the trash and said It was on the shelf for sale and that I wanted to purchase it. I was not trying to get it for a penny I was willing to pay full price for it. To make a long story short they called the police and he made me give it back or he was going to charge me for stealing. I work retail and if it is on the shelf it is for sale. Give me your feedback

In looking for Easter cards to send my grand nieces and nephews, I found at Dollar General many "cute" and "sweet" cards with illustrations that would appeal to children, but the only cards with a religious theme (Easter IS a religious holiday, celebrating Jesus' resurrection symbolized by new beginnings i.e. eggs, flowers, baby animals, etc.) were aimed at adults. As a frequent consumer of items at Dollar General, I add my request to that of many other DG shoppers who had to go elsewhere to purchase religious-themed Easter cards for children. In every other area, I have found DG to offer good products, at fair prices with a pleasant environment and helpful, courteous staff at the Pine Street location in Cabot, Arkansas.

I was at your store in Dublin Va at 2 different times...anyway had mgr coupons for 2.00 off Dentastick dog treats, the treats was priced at 2.00 they REFUSED to take them said thier store was not set up to let no one take anything out of thier store free only way i could use them was to purchase another item ?...Anyway it's my understanding that Dollar Stores accept mgr coupon's ? but i will not be back into this store also telling all my friend's and family not to go there either...There are several stores in my area that gladly accept's the coupon's..and also have a much nicer mgr.... DOLLAR GENERAL IN GUEYDAN HAS LOST MANY GOOD EMPLOYEES BECAUSE OF ONE WOMAN, SHE'S THE PROBLEM & SHE SHOULD BE THE ONE LEAVING.

I was a customer at Dollar General Store in Lake City, TN. I was accuses of stealing something there, and I wasn't raise up to do that kind of stuff and I don't appreciate that one bit, a cop came in and search my purse and went through my things that I had in there and everything, and I'm putting in a complain against the guy that done that. Spoke to the manager about it and she didn't do anything about it.

I go to the halls store, about 5-6 times a week. I have never had a problem until today...Two very rude Cashiers.I have always brought by I.D with me,But today I forgot it. The one girl that was waiting on me that she had to see it.Which I understand that's one of the rules, but when they pick and chose the day they want to see your I.D is another thing,, I did not say anything ,except that i told her i would be right back,I went And got it. Once i return to the store. I went to hand her my I.D, And she said, thats ok I don't need to see it. I couldn't believe what i was hearing. Told her that she was going to look at my I.D. And I handed it to her, she took it and then throw it back at me and my recipt after saying AND YOU HAVE A NICE DAY COME BACK REAL SOON and started laughing with the other girl.I took my stuff and left the store. How ever I had to wait, for the reason there was one more person in the store,my sister.Which the were un aware of, My my sister came out of the store upset ,telling don't ever go back to that store agian. She told that the whole time they were checking her out, the two cashier were saying really mean things about me. I do not understand why, they were that way with me today. I always enjoy going into that store, but not after the kind of treatment I recieved from them.I WILL NEVER GO BACK !!!!!!!!!

I received a letter from the IRS. I would like to know if this is legitimate. I am a former employee of DOLLAR GENERAL. This letter requests that I notarize the back and send it in with a copy of my social security card. It notifies me that I have 401k unclaimed from my former employment. This is true and I would like to verification that this is not a scam. icbaker@yahoo.com

You should be able to use any credit card anywhere at anytime: Debit &/or Credit. Not just one or the other. That is what is wrong with the system now. I don't appreciate going to the store and being a fool of, when it wasn't my fault in the first place. The system needs to be fixed where every credit card can be used Debit &/or Credit whether it be Mastercard &/or Visa.

I just had the worst shopping experience that I have ever had at DG store # 09405 in Farmington Hills MI. The store employee (Sherry) followed me in the store. I shop at this store on adverage 3 times a month. My purchases may not break the company but I refuse to go back to this particular store. The customer service is lousy, I understand that people who work retail are under-paid but with that attitude, why should you make more in your paycheck? I don't think so...

This is a letter of complaint about the dollar general store in holbrook,Arizona. I have been a regular customer their for many years now and on 2 different occasions in the past three weeks, a cashier named ana and another employee named dave was very rude to me and verbally abusive. I will not shop their any more and they will loose my business until Corporate office does something about this problem. ana and dave's behavior was completely unprofessional.

i worked very hard for 7 months i drove to stores without compensation for travel to work but in my own store i was treated very badly by so called management.i would recover for hours and after another employee came to our store nothing i did was right.we had a very hostile workplace caused by everyones fear so they told the manager what everyone talked about and he would come back and we got in trouble for our opinion he yelled and threw 2 year old temper tantrums.i think it was best said when an employee stated we are not robots these managers who i worked so hard for emailed me about how i was a real loser for quitting and talked about me on facebook.if you look up your store in southern indiana that has a high turnover you'll know which i'm talking about.the employees freeze in the winter and roast in the summer.WALKING away from the mental abuse made me a winner noone should have to work without a 5minute break to pee or get a drink just cause the manager is mad but i did.

Dollar General is more interested in sponsoring a stock car than treating its employees fair,,i won't shop there anymore ever.

I have a safety concern for the stockers in our store #6508 Fort Lawn S.C. The trucks are stacked so high with heavy stock on top and it falls all the time when it is being took off. There is a back or other accidents waiting to happen. There should be other ways to stack heavy boxes than on top of full trucks. As a chashier I am to greet the customers with a smile and I am always trying to please them and at the register get them out as quick as possible. That's what they want, I know.It has go tothe point that my regular customers say they are tired of waiting in line so I can tell every customer about our customer connection number. So many receipts land on the ground in front of store. Easley picked up by a customer to come back in store and use it for wrong reasons. We are told to tear up all receipts customers don't wont. It is very stressfull trying to get the customer out the door fast and say all they want you to tell each one. It's on the receipt. Also useing so much register tape. We give the customer a note pad every time we give them a receipt.I know D.G. is paid for advertising on the receipts but it is getting redicious to have to be friendly and push this on each customer.Feel like a robot sometimes. Hard to be friendly and do this all day.I always tell customers about the connection number if I haven't seen them in there before, but my regulars are tired of hearing it. They come because we have a clean, friendly and down home store with alot of low prices and getting them checked out fast......
