have been a vendor in your DG store 169 for 4 years and have never been so disrespected by a store mgr. and her DM in all my life. When I tired to explain to her and her DM that their frustration should not be aimed at me and why it shouldn't they both told me that didn't care what the problem was they just wanted to job done, well I can't force outside companies to send their mdse. any faster than they already are and don't appreciate such attitudes towards me about something I have no control over. I will not return to this store to work or shop until there is an attitude adjustment. I would rather work on the problem together than be told "I don't care" cause if they don't care then neither do I. Sincerely, Linda

I have lived in Cookeville, TN for 16 years, and while the majority of peoeple I encounter are very polite, I found an exception to be at your Dollar General on N. Washington. While I was looking for a card, I asked one of the four emplyees who were on the same aisle stocking shelves if the business behind them was a bread store. As I conversed with this pleasant lady, another employee interrupted to ask "Where are you from?" First, I think it is rude to ask that question, second it is none of her business. When I tried to brush her off, she persisted, then said how rude people from Cookeville were. I took my card to the register, waiting behind another customer. When another employee came up to ring us up, the customer in front of me said "You must be understaffed". The employee pointed at me and said "It's all his fault, he's been very unruly." Well, needless to say, I told her she could keep her card and walked out of the store. I am retired from TTU and I certainly will tell all my friends and fellow TTU peers about this experience, as a majority of the university is not "From Around Here" and there are many other stores that don't insult their customers. I am sure if this Dollar General was here in the 50's they would have a big sign in their window saying: NO NIGGERS. As it is they should put one in their window saying : NATIVE BORN ONLY. Dollar General is too big of an organization to hire people like this.

I have shopped at DG for years and most of them that I have shopped at are full of very nice people until one was opened in Sunbright, Tennessee. The manager, RONDA JEFFERS was very RUDE, MOUTHY, INSULTING, she acted as if she was better than everyone else in the store. I was shocked by the way she talked to me when I asked if I could put something back because it was a little over my budget, the cashier, Jennette that was there said that it would be no problem but she didn't know how to take it off and when she asked for RONDA JEFFERS help, she was jumped on and I was told that it "COULD NOT BE TAKEN OFF BECAUSE IT WAS ALREADY ON THERE AND I MUST PAY FOR IT!" She (RONDA JEFFERS) turned to the cashier and saw that she was a little nervous, because she was new and still trying to learn, Jennette was SHOVED ASIDE BY RONDA JEFFERS and told to "Just get out of the way" because she was messing everything up! RONDA JEFFERS should be FIRED ON THE SPOT, I think everyone that is dissatisfied with the way their DG is ran, should picket the store until HQ does something about it. I am tired of getting the "Royal Run Around"! Its time we act and doing something to get their attention! PICKET YOUR DOLLAR GENERAL! DON'T SHOP THERE UNTIL THEY FIX THE PROBLEMS! AND YES, THE PRICES ARE GETTING A LITTLE TOO HIGH TOO! PICKET YOUR DOLLAR GENERAL! PICKET YOUR DOLLAR GENERAL! PICKET YOUR DOLLAR GENERAL!

The store in Wellsburg NY is very dirty; the manager is not professional at all. Monica is always on the phone when running the cash register, and does not appear to appreciate questions from the customers, her conversations range widely and most are not appropriate for customers to hear. On more than one occasion, I have heard her make negative comments to the employees in front of customers. I have watched her give things to people that she obviously has a personal relationship with, letting them walk in and walk out with no regard for customers that are standing in line. Dollar General has been one of the dollar stores that shopping in was not bad; however, the Wellsburg NY store is dirty and very unappealing, I will not be shopping in that store again, especially after seeing the manager (Monica) give merchandise away to people, while I stand there and wait to give my $.

I'm am writing to you because the Lampasas Dollar General's air conditioner is always broken and it is very hot to even shop in the store and I feel very sorry for the employees to have to work in that conditioner with no air conditioner in outside tempertures of a 108 degrees out side, Please could you get it fix so we can shop. thank you very much

Well I always shop at store #08642 North Judson, Indiana. Everyone I encounter is always professional , helpful , work hard and kind, until I asked for the manager. I never met this lady before and she was rude to me. This is my story. All the time I go there to shop. I am the type of person that does things to help in any case possible if I can help. When ever I go and park my car, there is trash on the ground from other customers that use the parking lot. So Everytime I pick up some trash put it in my car and even bring carts in to D.G. I do notice that everyone works hard and are kind and does their job. Some times I feel bad for them, cause they work so hard and I wonder if they even get a break. So I thought I was just being a help when I decieded to buy a garbage can and ask to talk to a manager. I was going to donate the trash can and take care of it and the trash that gets put in it. So as I wait for her she walks up. I interduced myself and shook her hand. I then said, "I was wanting to know if I can donate----- She blurts out "NO, Rules and regalations!" I said , "Can I finish talking?" She would not let me finish. So as she started to walk away I said I will check with cvs then, and thank you for your time. It was unprofessional. It is to bad some one can get so bent out of shape over a question, but maybe it was that she didn't like how nice and caring I am. The first impression was negative I wasn't saying no one was doing there job, I just wanted to help everyone to be able to put the trash in a can not the earth that I see little kids walk apon, and some times with out shoes. Now I am new to the town been there about a year and all I do is work. I dont make friends(I dont have time) I serve customers all day long. So for what reason why she was SOOOOO Rude, I will never know. It is to bad that a helping heart makes people bitter. Where I was born and raised on the river, everyone help each other and were positive one another and cmmunicated to one another, not listen to hear say garbage. So, all I got to say is I forgive her and hope that she dont do that to everyone she encounters,the next one might not be so nice about it.

Altamont is a small town and we were all excited to get a Dollar General here. I have to say that i had rather drive 30 min. to another store. This store is so poorly managed that you cant even shop here. The employees act like they hate their job so bad that they want to make you miserable also. They arent helpful at all, and act like you are wasting their time by shopping there. There are good hard working people that need jobs. Clean out these sullen faced workers and try to make this a better store. Come on guys. Be thankful you have a job and take a little pride in what you do, not matter what it is. Its not hard to smile !!!

I recently shopped at Dollar General Store #09496 and I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of customer service. I have never seen such a lazy and rude staff in my life. The line to check out was extremely long while the manager stood in line to be rang out for snacks. then i had a return and was told i would have to wait 1 hour until the manager could help me. REDICULOUS! and they refused to give me the district managers number and corporates. never ever shopping at another dollar general again.

I know its been gone for awhile, but would love,love,love to have Thund'r Blast degreaser multi-purpose cleaner back. I have used other degreasers and they just don't cut the grease. I have an old bottle,and it says it is highly concentrated.Maybe that's why it worked so well. I was shopping at dollar general in round lake illinois, this was just last week on july 17th, immediately when i came into the store i put my daughter in a cart and begin looking for a swim suit, i turned around because i noticed an employee named JENNIFER was behind me, so i asked her if she they sold any swim suits she rudely said (NOPE), I WALKED ON AND JUST WAS LOOKING AROUND and i came across some dvd's i picked up 3 of them, after spending about 20 minutes in the store looking around i didnt want the dvd's so i put them back and took my daughter out of the cart. i didnt purchase anything because i mainly was shopping for a swin suit. as i was walking out the door JENNIFER asked did you leave your cart anywhere in the store? i said yes and pointed to it, she said where's the dvd's you had. i felt offended and said are you accusing me of stealing? jennifer said i have alot of people coming here stealing( there was alot of people in the store and she was also at the register accusing me of theft) i was highly embarrassed, i opened my purse and said do you see anything in my purse? jennifer said she had alot of people that steals from her store i asked her alot of people like whom? she just chuckled a little, i was racially profiled because she did not follow anyone else in the store except for me...i want something done immediately about the humiliation and disrecpect that JENNIFER HAS CAUSED ME...

After reading previous complaints this may not even be read. I had yet another altercation with "Courtney" at the store in Lake Milton, Ohio. She refused to bag my milk and Gain....said, they were "Low on bags". Since you're parking lot is a swimming pool and all the Geese are actually swimming in it...I had to park at the rear of the store. Then, I made three trips back to retrieve my purchases and my receipt she failed to give me. I am 67, a widow, there have been times the money I spent made their quota for the day. I will "never" shop Dollar General again, I will drive to Newton Falls and patronize Family Dollar there. Thank you for the opportunity to express this complaint. To be sure this is brought to the proper person's attention, I will follow-up with a letter to the Corporate Offices in Goodlettsville, TN.

Ok I use to work for the Greenhill store in Al. 09669. Ever since I quit to go back to school they have been extremely rude to me and my 2yr old daughter everytime I go in there. I have emailed several times and nothing has been done. What is wrong with corp. I will not step foot in that store again. I also quit cause one of the employees (Connie White) looked at me and said" I hope one day someone grabs u by your pretty hair and jerks you across the counter and beats the hell out of you." Ok who says this to an employee infront of customers. I am a customer now and I want to be treated like one. If this cant be handled I will call the vp of corp. cause I kno her really well

I live in wolfforth and always enjoyed shopping at dollar general until this year.the manager they have now is very rude. My daughter went in theer other day to get goggles and. She ran her out of the store SAID she was wet from the local pool and she was dried off. I can't believe she told her to get out of her store. I work for the public and never once have I ran a, kid out for bein wet from swimin . They APPARENTLY DONT CARE HOW SHE TREATS HER CUSTOMERS, BUT THATS OKAY, BECAUSE WITHOUT CUSTOMERS YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS AND SHE IS RUNNING ALOT OF US OFF ITS, REALLY,A, SHAME YOU HAVE SOMEONE LIKE HER RUNNING YOUR BUSINESS NAME IN THE GROUND . GOOD LUCK CUZ YOUR STORE IS GONNA NEED IT WITH HER THERE.

I sent my son to the store number 07503 today to buy a gallon of milk with my EBT card. The cashier told him that kids cant use EBT cards because they might be stolen. If he knows the pin number how is it that its stolen. the cashier called it store policy, I call it racism and an unfair stigma.

Dear Dollar General: I regret having to write to you. First, thank you for giving us such a good store to buy and save at! I sincerely appreciate it especially in lieu of the current economic climate. I was in your store located at 1015 North Spence Avenue, Goldsboro, North Carolina late last week. Working stock some of the shelves in the shampoo isle was an elder lady. I was in this section about 3 minutes looking around, and never did she even acknowledge me. I don't expect the "red carpet to be rolled out", but she could say a kind hello or something. After I shopped the store, I stood at the check out counter for several minutes and the only worker near the check out counter as the elderly lady that I had seen in the shampoo section. She never turned around to see if anyone was waiting, nothing. I finally walked over near her and asked if there was someone that could check me out. Well that was the wrong question to ask. Whew!!!! I was yelled at and told to go back over to the check out counter and wait for her. She is a total bitty! I have to tell you, I almost left my $44 worth of items right there after she rang them up and bagged them, just to get back at her, but I'm not like that. That's what I wanted to do, but instead I was quiet . . . actually pissed off and scared??? She never thanked me, never had any conversation???? I know you don't train your people like this. I doubt I will hold back and not say anything if it happens again when I go in this store. Thank you for listening to me. Shirley Weaver

I am an employee at dollar general.This store is in Irvington, ky our air is not working very little. It is so hot in there our customers are coming in to shop and saying that they would shop longer if it wasn't so hot in there. so please can you fix our air. thank you

The Freeburg, IL, Dollar General is horrific. It is a mess. The one worker named Missy is rude and boorish. She is also very nosy, and she smells like stale cigarettes all of the time. She spends more time outside smoking than she does in the store doing work. If she doesn't like working there, she should quit and not make everyone's shopping trip a miserable experience.

I love the Dollar General Store in Fairfax, Oklahoma. The employee's are very helpful and friendly. However, the store is so hot you can't shop in there. I spend a lot of money in that store and will continue to do so but when I went in there today I felt fine and within a very short time was physically sick as the temperature in the store was close to 90 degrees. Please do something to cool the store I had to leave sick.
