Dollar General Corporate Office & Headquarters

I shop at the Dollar General Market in Ardmore, TN. It's a very nice store. They keep it very clean and neat. They usually have the things I need in stock. This is a very small town and the closest city is 30 mintes away, so the convnience is great! That being said, the employees at this store need MAJOR improvement! I shop at this store every day. I sometimes go in 2 or 3 times in one day. I have come to know several of the employees and management. They have one woman that is a so called manager. She is rude, she is obnoxious and most of the time I see her, she is playing, running through the store,or she's on her cell phone!! I have seen the store manager ONE TIME in the past year! This to me is ridiculous! There is a woman there by the name of Diane. She is sometimes on a check out line, but most of the time I see her, she is dememnding the eployees to do her work. I was in her line and had my things unloaded and she turned her light off and told me to go to another line. There are a few checkers that are very friendly, but the majority of them are RUDE!! I have decided to stop coming to shop at this store.

Augusta, GA, JIMMY DYESS PARKWAY STORE. AUGUST 31, 2012 I WENT INTO THE STORE TO PURCHASE A FEW ITEMS, I WORE A CLINGY SHIRT AND CLINGY KNEE LENGTH PANTS AND I ONLY CARRY MY WALLET INTO STORES. I WASNT IN THE STORE MORE THAN FIVE MINUTES, WHEN A STORE CLERK WALKS DOWN THE ISLE AND MAKES A QUICK TURN ON THE NEXT ROW, WHERE ANOTHER CUSTOMER WAS TALKING ON HER PHONE AND SHE ASKED HER IS SHE TRYING TO STEAL, AND THE CLERK BLURTED OUT YES AND I CANT WAIT TO CATCH THEM BECAUSE ONE OF US GONE END UP GOING TO JAIL. BUT NOTE THE CLERK WAS DOING HER OWN SHOPPING ON DUTY, THEY ALWAYS WATCH BLACK PEOPLE WHILE THE WHITES RUN FREE. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH WATCHING FOR SHOPLIFTERS, BUT DONT ASSUME BLACKS ALWAYS STEAL, YOU SHOULD BE WATCHING EVERYONE. I WENT TO THE COUNTER TO PAY FOR MY STUFF AND SHE COULD BARELY LOOK ME IN MY FACE. THEY HAVE PEOPLE IN THE OFFICE WATCHING THE CAMERA SO THEY NO IF YOU STOLE OR NOT, THIS IS TRULY RACIAL PROFILING AND I WILL NEVER SHOP AT ANOTHER DOLLAR GENERAL. IF IT CONTINUES, THEY MAY FIND THEMSELVES WITH A LAWSUIT. I AM SENDING A LETTER TO CORPORATE OFFICE, I HOPE OTHERS WILL FOLLOW. THEY ARE RUDE AND ACT LIKE THEY ARE DOING US A FAVOR. BUT WE ARE KEEPING THEM EMPLOYED.

In 2011 my sufficient other was termally ill and passed away. I was working fo DG and had to quite to take care of him and my stress level was so high that i knew that I would at that time be no good for DG. After he passed I moved to Michigan to be with my daughter and Granddaughters. After I got myself together I applied at the DG here in Cass City and was told I was UNHIREABLE. I thought that DG philosophy was GOD,FAMILY,and JOB. What happened to the first two during my bereavement.

The Dollar General store in Centerville, Tn is the worst store I have seen. They have a line any time of day, it does not matter, It's ALWAYS. The manager is RUDE and insecure. She won't look you in the face. Everytime I go in there I get bit by FLEAS. I told them and they told me they just sprayed, well I still got bit!!!! also the place is very DIRTY floors doors in front and Parking lot is never swept always dirty. Very crowded can't get buggy through boxes piled up.Never go there anymore I go to FREDS. thought you could help I have been in some nice DG stores. VERY BAD MANAGEMENT!!

The dollar general in Potts Camp, MS gets a very poor rating from me, why because recently as a matter of fact my niece was hired there Friday and let go Monday because he's saying her register was 55.00 dollars short. First of all he doesnt stay there and train her, she knew nothing about clocking out when she not on the registar, and do you honest believe the others were going to tell her why no. This store has no african american employees and Potts Camp has alot of blacks. All the church will band together an have this store remover for discrimination. Sharon Massey

I am very concerned about your manager at store 12177.. In district 11 the store manager an assistant manager at this store is very rude to customers. I have seen them stand outside the store an use nasty nasty language about others(customers). I believe her name is Teresia. She talks to her employees like they mean nothing to her. An if that be the case she dont need to be a store manager because your employees are the running of that store.. I believe the other young lady is Tabitha an she is rude to everyone. They need new managers at this store who treat people with respect. I'm tired of every time I visit this store I have to be subject to this treatment.. Please look into this matter with my concern an others concern at mind!!! They have run all the good customers away an that is bad on our community an we don't need that stuff here. I called dollar general in Baxter springs kanas in regards to garnishment info on 08/27/12. One of the employees answered (not the one I'm seeking garnishment for) and I simply asked if I could get a number or address so I could send info and see if we could get it cleared. The lady who answered was very rude and said she didnt know what to tell me and that I just need to take them to court. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she hung up on me! Very rude I do shop sometimes at your store but I will not go back in to the one in Baxter springs.

I shop at your store in Concord, Ohio 44060. I am a regular shopper and I want you to know that every single employee there goes out of their way to serve you. They are always ready to help you in any way they can. The store is always so clean and neat. I know the employees by name and I truly enjoy shopping at that store. They really need to be commended for the great job they do. I was a retail worker for over 30 years so I know how to treat people and these employees can wait on me anytime. Sincerely, Cheryl

I am a worker at a Dg in Texas and in my area the store I work in is one of the best it is clean. But the "store owner" is very rude and treats all of her workers like we are very dumb. My boss told me to do something without telling me how to do it correctly. And when she came over to me. She started yelling and calling me stupid in front of the people trying to buy things as I was checking them out to leave the store I have not had anyone yell at me in front of people like that without me yelling back. But because older people "65-up" along with chiren around I kept my mouth shut so I wouldn't hurt peoples feelings. This lady needs to be taught how to talk to people. Before she gets yelled at by me.

I live in Canal Fulton Ohio and we have 2 dollar generals within 2 miles of each other. they have the worst check out i have ever encountered. you wait in line forever. What is with this store. I complain every single time i am in there and all they say is thank you for your patience. my patience has run out i am done with this store.

The trailer trash cashier in Mesquite is still chasing men out the door trying to "hook-up" with any man any time. Shoppers Beware, she can't be scrapped off the bottom of your shoe. Why would a store employee a person that is obviously a blemish to our community. She is easily spotted, You almost feel sorry for all the other employees and management that have to work with this nasty, foul insecure winch. The entire store suffers because of her tacky ways.

The store that I used to be a manager at is like in an unacceptable manner. It has been through like three or four managers since I left. This store is dirty, unorganized, employee's standing around talking instead of working, roll containers on the sales floor preventing customers from getting to the merchandise. Shelves not fronted or faced. Empty packages from theft mixed in the with other merchandise. The ex-district manager was always onto to the managers about this kind of thing. But the new district manager must not know what he is doing. The entire store looked bad I mean really bad.

Our family no longer will shop at DG the manager was rude to my wife and I will have to drive to Walt mart instead. DG will lose thousands of my hard earned $ every year because of the managers stupidity.

there is one right across the street and it is 10 o clock at night and they have huge spot lights pointed right at my house! who needs those on anyways? a simple parking lot light would be more then sufficient.

I worked at the store in Sibley for six months, and I will agree with everything I'm seeing. The manager and the asst. manager at the Sibley location are both very unprofessional! They talk about employees to other employees in front of the customers. The manager is very rude to the customers and acts like she is better than her employees and the customers. She and the asst. manager spend most of their time gossipping instead of training their employees properly. The manager shows the asst. manager alot of favortism. I witnessed the asst. manager in the store one night and she was checking out some food. She gave the cashier some coupons knowing that they could not be used. The cashier took them because she ASSUMED that since they were given to her by her superior that they were okay. I told the manager, but I can assure you nothing was said. There were many things that happened, but I don't have time or the space to go into detail.

Hi I am refered to as the dollar store queen i love $ general and when i found out my siter n law Carol worked in the corporate office i asked her if there was a way i could get a job like hers, ( a buyer ) she explained that $ general now offers positions to train you to be a buyer, only you have to relocate which i would be willing to do to get a oppertunity like this. I figured as much as i am in that store i definately know what items would be great for this type of store only she told me to go to job careers @ $ general, only they are not posted so if someone can help me i would really appricate it Thank you Bonnie

Shopper: Furious about being falsely accused, searched without evidence, detained, c My question to you, were you detained? Your story seems a little on the racist, tanted side!! You mention that majority IF NOT ALL customers were black, employees & shoppers. Why did you focus on the color of skin? Why didn't you just leave if you felt a certain way when you entered into the store? Perception is a lot when you walk into a place if you don't feel comfortable and spending your MONEY! YOU had the right to LEAVE!!! Before the so-called incident occurred...have you ever shopped at this particular store before? You made the comment: These days Americans need to shop thrifty, but not at the cost of my reputation, mental and physical well-being. As an AMERICAN you have choices! You can chose to leave a bad situation...I wasn't there, BUT your story don't make sense!!!

WOW- I hate shopping at this store, my first experience at a location near my house, I was in line to check out, I had my 7 year old, non-verbal son with me(he has autism), and the cashier asked a child ahead of me if he knew how much change he was suppose to get back, well he responded correctly and her reply was- Im impressed, kids that go to this school district cant answer that correctly when they are seniors, so when I get to check out my son was touching buttons, she rolls her eyes at him, and I tell him, baby this lady right here doesnt think you have the brains to mess with this since you go to this school district, and sad thing is, Dollar General takes money to donate to kids with autism in the month of April. So I break down and go into another Dollar General today to purchase advil for my son, well the stuff I find is for infants, and I needed it for older children, I find an employee, sitting on a crate talking on the phone, I ask her for help, she tells me where it is, sorta, doesnt offer to help, I find it, come to counter and I say sorry to bother you, her reply WASNT you didnt bother me, or thats my job it was- I was on the phone with another manager I cant just hang up on a manager, REALLY, for these 2 reasons has given me reason enough to never give them my money again

First off, I love General Dollar. Saves me from going to the grocery, and believe me, I don't like going to the grocery stores because they are so big. Anywho, we just had a DG move from a small store to a larger one (which I don't mind; more products, larger aisles, etc) but there are a LOT of things outcoded in that store at 6414 E. State Blvd in Fort Wayne, IN. I found Kraft Mayo on their shelf (not a discounted area) that expired in 2011. The Sprite I purchased yesterday, I noticed today when I emptied the small bottle, expired in July, and I just purchased them yesterday. I would like to get hold of corporate to let them know they need to have the workers check the expiration codes on many of the food items. Hopefully they check this page and will do something about this.

You all do not even deserve one star. I was injured then fired. I called ADR. You want to know what was done to help me nothing. I was discriminated against, lied to and my wages were wrong. I don't even shop here anymore. You treat your employees badly and no one likes working for you. When I got fired you could not even prove a reason to the state. What does that say about you?
