Dollar General Corporate Office & Headquarters

I stopped at the Reading, Michigan store on Friday, October 5, 2012 and could not believe how poorly the store was. Not only was it very disorganized but my granddaughter wanted to use the bathroom, but when I went it I would not let her. The bathroom had piles of dirt that appeared to have been swept from store and dirty mops leaning against the wall. The toilet was brown in color and looked like it had not been cleaned in a long time; same with sink. Needless to say, I left without making a purchase. I shop at my local Dollar General in Pioneer, Ohio often and have never encountered anything near the condition in Reading. Maybe someone should pay a surprise visit to that store. It was discusting.

We recently went into the dollar general in Sanford, Michigan. The store was dirty, aisles crowded. When we went to check out waited 5min finally went and found someone to check us out, the clerk was very rude and snotty. If that young man worked for me somthing would be done. We will not go back to any dollar general.

I can see that all Dollar stores are all a like. The bosses and most of employees are lazy. this is the only place you can get a job and sit on your ass and get paid for it no one really cares. You just sit smoke out front and lines can be all the way to back of store and cant get anyone to help with cashing people out.

why do they close there stores ten minutes before closing time? ITS HORRID!

I am from a small town in east texas, Eustace. It was very happy when your store moved into my town. The store has gone down every since. It is firthy, isles packed, and my main concern is your refrigerated counters. I went in today and there was black mold growing on the milk cartons, the racks and walls of the coolers. I would hope that Dollar General should have to follow the same health codes as a real grocery store! I called the corporate office and only opened 8 to 5 m-f. I believe you are playing with the health of the community and I will continue to persue this complaint!!

I tried to purchase some cat treats and dog treats and the clerk was very rude to me whenI told her there was a price sign in front of each item saying a different price. I told her I did not want them at the price they rang up and since several people were waiting I let her finish ringing me up and went back and grabbed the sale sign and then she made me take her back when they were and said Oh I did not see those. She was very rude and unprofessional. She should know her pricing and she did not even go back in the right spot to check the prices on them. This w in the Lexington, Ohio store.

To have to place a complaint in the Phillipenes is absolutely ridiculous!

I applied for a job and said I was not a canidate. Guess the test they give is for dishonest people who steal, maybe this is why the reviews on the site are so poor. They judge the employees they hire by a test that in my view is totally ridiculous. I have never stole from a company guess thats unbelieveable , the test they give now explains the poor service in the store.

Your store in Olla, La is in dire need of an overhaul! The aisles are jam-packed with unopened merchandise still in the packing boxes, which are stacked on top of each other and block view of merchandise on shelves. I observed an elderly customer attempting to push aside some of the gurneys so she could reach for something on the shelf, and almost fell over the items. We rely on our DG, I just cant believe the awful shape it is in, and that upper management cannot get in there and do SOMETHING to whip it back into shape. HELP!!!!!

Went for the first time to the Dollar Store because we were going to have a birthday party. Bought $68.00 worth of party supplies well 2 days later the party was canceled so back to the store to return the items to find out they do not return items for cash back. No place in that store did it say that policy of not offering a refund!!!!!!!!!!!! The cashier told me to look on the back of the receipt for the policy. Well "HELLO" I all ready paid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was told to bring back my supplies one at a time or to buy $68.00 worth of stuff at once. No I want my money back!I think I will stand in their line and pay for other peoples stuff and they can then give me a dollar everytime and make the cashier go crazy!!!!!!!!!!

II had to deliver a load to the warehouse in Bessemer Alabama.I have never seen such careless worthless working people like in that warehouse. Ihe manager does not have time to talk the kids at the gate good luck with them .this my first and last time doing business with this company.

You guys has a new store manger in your apopka fl store .I think your store number is 2966.. just wanted to let yous guys know .that I will no longer shop at this location.. I used to love going there when the old manager I think his name was Roger.... he was a Good boss..he made you feel welcome plus his staff was fun loving.. made you feel comfortable..and now they seems so sad..it makes me sad.. so other then myself how many customers will lost because of this..

the manager at the new dollar general store is very rude his name is donald mc chesney i do not like his ways. i am a new cashier he takes money out of my drawer and then i had to fight about getting it back in.i think he needs to be looked into his bad practices. i do not trust this person.

does corporate take care of these complaints ,and if so why do you have employees treating customers in such a rude manner the customer is your bacon, and if you don;t have them then you won;t have a business,, I for one will not put up with people talking to me that way and shame on any DS employee for doing it

I live in Carrollton Mississippi. We are no less than ten miles from our closest town. As much as I appreciate the convenience of Dollar General, it is so upsetting to shop at the one located in my town. The manager of this store is rude and does not have the ability of running a store. No matter when I go in this store the isle are always fill with merchandise that needs to be put on the shelves but is not. The check out line is always long even though no one is ever stocking the shelves. Please realize that if someone comes in your to your store and is in a wheel chair they should be able to shop from that chair. In the store located in Carrollton, Ms NO ONE CAN GET DOWN THE AISLE, let alone someone trying to shop from a wheelchair. Please have someone besides the people you have had in the store site come without announcing their arrival, I feel you will be suprised.

TRYING TO GET IN TOUCH WITH DM HAVE CALLED 4 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS NEED TO TALK TO CHUCK TILL ... HAVE BEEN ON MEDICAL LEAVE AND I HAVE MY RELEASE PAPERS BUT CANT GET IN TOUCH WITH NO ONE TO LLET THEM KNOW . THEY ARE NOT RETURNING MY CALLS ....

The outside of the Marble Falls, Tx. store needs some drastic attention. It is filthy beyond beleif~!!!!

I just left the Vidalia, Louisiana store where I attempted to purchase a decorative box that was on the 50% off table just inside the front door. When I got to the check out it range up 25% off I questioned the cashier and she stated that the sale was off. I told her that the sign is still there and therefore she has to sell the item for 50% off according to law. She checked with her supervisor who was rude and said that those items were 25% off and I explained to her that nowhere on that table does it say 25% off it says 50% off. She told me that she could not be responsible for customers put things down on a table that does not belong there. What an idiot. You mean to tell me that someone walked in the store picked up merchandise passed up the cashier went to the front door and put the item down on a 50% off table. I find this highly unlikely. She was rudeand took a smart ass tone and she did not want to follow the law, therefore I think that for principal sake I will file a law suit. I will also be writing something up for the newspapers.

The RUDEST CASHIER I have ever Seen! On Tuesday My sister went shopping with our Mother At the Dollar General in Redlion Pa 647 Lombard Rd Redlion Pa store #02811 my sister had her little 2 year old Boy with her and he was in his stoller Not running through the store just in his stroller upon Checking out my little Nephew started getting a little loud as Toddlers some times can and he was laughing and excited and was shriking while laughing as TODDLERS do not to mention my little nephew is autistic and Autistic childern tend to get stimulated over all kinds of differnt stuff and they get excited He was NOT crying or pitching a fit he was laughing and getting loud My younger sister stood patiently in line with my nephew and my 60 year old mother waiting to check out slowly rocking the stroller The cashier Lorrie started raising her voice at my little 2 yr old nephew and smacking the check out counter saying SHHHH Thats Not Necessary Shhhh thats enough to give me a migraine THATS that Necessary !! And Smacking the counter ! And giving my sister hateful looks !! To my sisters total dis belief of the rudness of the chashier Lorrie she hurried and checked out and left the store with my little nephew as my sister is leaving the store Behind my sisters back this Cashier Lorrie starts trash talking my sister and my little nephew As my mother was paying for her things the chashier Lorrie stated to the other cashier how Glad she was that my sister took my nephew outta the store and How it was enough to give her a Migraine My mother spoke up and said Im his Grandmother and some times kids make noise and Lorrie the NASTY cashier turns to my mother and says I know you are with them and I dont care that kid is enough to give any a migraine and how my little sister shouldnt have brought him in the store at all ! Thats CUSTOMER service for you aint it What in the world is the cashier Lorrie even doing holding a job in Public if she cant stand childern? Needless to say my older sister and I went into the store upon hearing about this when my little sister meant us outside at the car She was shaking and almost in tears over this cahsier being so nasty My older sister and I went in to the store and confronted this cashier Lorrie and she was as rude and Nasty as she could be and STATED that Kid is enough to give anyone a migraine and he should use his inside voice! Well let me ask you all this How do you tell any 2 yr old let alone an Autistic child to use an inside voice? This to me folks is DISCRIMANATION at its finest and this Cashier should be fired ! How dare the cashier Lorrie treat anyone this way? let alone a child ?

this saturday me and my twon little daughters went to buy some cat food in Lyford ,tx i encountered this mad man by the name of rusty an employee i was in line wit ma daughters to pay n ma daughter wanted a gatorade i told her no no its to late we gotta go already the guy turns around with a very upset n raged face and yells out to me can u see im busy here making hand gestures so i got mad and got into it wit him so he kept on telling me stuff and i said to him i wasnt talkin g to you i was talking to my daughter and he says very rude oh ok so i told him wat seperated me n u right now is the checkout table so he responded sayin to me what what are u gaonna do making faces like tryin to start something so i take off wit ma kids n he follows me and emberrasses me outside mouthing me n gettin myn license plate number like if i was the one that started anyways next day he goes to the police and files a complaint that he was threaten by me n i get a citation n almost arrested bad thing about it hes done this in the past to other people but never confgronted him i reported to his manager and he never did amnythin so hes still in the store working waiting for another victim manager didnt seem to care can someone please help me please this man needs out
