They debited my account when I retured my item. THEY ROBBED ME.

Last night I went to Dollar General and they did not honor their own coupon. I ended up getting a refund. They did not know how to do it so I the GM came in. She took back her products and told me she gave me a refund (I have a receipt) and when I came home I found out that they debited my account. They stole $40 dollars from me and my family. I cannot receive the money untl my credit card completes an investigation.

I like to use the $5 off coupon on a $25 order. But they cheat you out of money whenever possible. They stand there and tell you a lie about the cost of something so I end up paying twice as much. The way they show the $5 discount coupon on the receipt is as a series of 18 cents subtracted or 35 cents subtracted from the various items. This is intentionally designed to create confusion so they can continue to rip off customers. There are ways to get my money back since the store management refuses to make it right.

Needs to be shut down, all of them

I have not found one good Dollar General Store. They are all trash and all the managers are horrible. This store reflects that the owners are trash as well. I would never want the reputation that of a Dollar General. It's straight disgusting!

Bad service in DG Barstow

The store manager at DG in Barstow ca 92311 was very unprofessional. Instead of giving me, the consumer attention she talks to her employees about her future plans. She also gave me an attitude when I asked for a certain item.... Never going back again. Bad management/service.

I just left my Dollar General. I do not complain about much since I am retired from retail myself and I know things happen that just can not be helped. but this is to much.not once not twice but just about every time I go into my Dollar General store this happens. Today there were seven people behind me and 3 in front of me. Your Store manager was there and one checker. This is not about the checker she was very nice and was working as fast as she could. She did her job very very well. This is about your store manager I believe her name is Donna. the store number is 03413 at 205 W. Cedar Creek PKWY st. in Seven Points Texas 75143. Here are all these people standing in line as she just stood there. I kept looking at her and so she just went is her office then she came out and said in a very loud voice said,"Our debit and credit machines are down so you have to pay cash or check." That was not what even up set me. Ok things happen what upset me is here is one checker doing her best, you have all these people standing in line and you won't even jump on a regerster and help get the line down! you know if I had not seen this happen over and over again I wouldn't even write this letter. But it happens a lot she will not help out she just go's in her office and let's this poor woman deal with the up set people. I really felt sorry for her but as I said she just was as sweet and nice as she could be.We are a small town and our Doller General is the closest thing we have without having to drive 20 miles to another store. I could drive to the Kemp Texas store that is about 15 to 20 miles from my house. They are always in stock this store is not, they work together as a team this store does not. But ,why should I? I read your note that this will not be used to contact your Corporate office, but my hope is that who ever reads this, it will be sent on to your general manager and he will at least talk to the store manager and explain the importance of good customer service. The dollar general manager Rebecca Jenkins holds stuff for sales, then purchases it, and sales for regular prices on Facebook. When i go in the store. She is never present. Her employee mentioned she was delivering milk, so i had to wait 30 mins for my refund.. she is very unprofessional. And the cashier she hired a girl Miranda. While i was in line she had a friend come in..with full line of customer say, miranda i went to your house a bought loritabs.. in front of customers, i heard this loud and clear. bad manager

i was in the dollar general on october 31. while i was shopping i noticed a young mother with 3 children looking at custumes for trick or treat.the little girl picked up one she liked but there were parts missing in the box. the mother asked the manager if he would mark the item down, his reply was I JUST ASSUME TROW IT AWAY and as he sad this he tossed the item in the trash.i am appalled for this kind of behavior is uncalled for.the store is in jackson and the manager should be fired

i was at the store in Rochester pa i bought 50 dollars worth of stuff carried it to my car and went right home as i was un packing my thing i noticed that i was missing my laundry detergent it was on my recite so i called the store 15 min. after leaving the worker said she will check at the check out lane it was not there of course because one of the other 7 people behind me got it. told me that i misplaced it it was my fault. so now what im sooooo upset i work 3 jobs to make my money and i might as well light it on fire. this has happend at other stores before in my life and never had this happen why whoud i make it up so i can waste more gas to go back for it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would just like some straight answers regarding job descriptions for all key holder positions. Is fourth key holder the same as lead cashier, or is it the third key holder?

Your store in ALTO, TEXAS is filthy, the employes look dirty and unprofessional.Stock is scattered all over. Floors are disgustingly dirty. There are weeds growing through the cracks in the sidewalk in front mixed with the trash that seldom gets picked up. Right now we are ashamed to have you in our town. In my opinion you should clean it up or close it down.

I thought dollar general was an equal opportunity employer that as i was told will work withh college students! Boy was i wrong and if im not then u have a store manager in oklahoma stating dollar generals policy does is that they do not work with college students! It is sad especially when someone cant go to work in a small town at one of ur store be cause they r taking classes just a couple days a week and a few hours during the day but was willing to come in right after class and work evenings which is the hardest time frames to cover... Makes me not want to even shop there anymore.

A new store is being built in our neighborhood of Richmond, VA. 2910 North Avenue to be exact. While I will admit I was hesitant to have another store go up so close to our residents...I have changed my tune and now endorse all efforts by your company. As the community association President I speak on behalf of many when we say "Welcome" to our neighborhood. Your team of construction workers are the crem de la Creme. Start on time, quiet, efficient, pick up the debris, extremely courteous, and never do you see one person standing around. They work like a fine tuned instrument. Thank you for choosing our neighborhood for growth.

The store I visited was a dollar general market in Niles Oh, the store was clean except the restroom had no paper towel or toilet paper in it. The one manager who was the head of groceries was very helpfull to me,. When i got to the register the cashier was very rude to me,. The young lady did not know how to count back chang and gave me the wrong change for a 50.00dollar bill. The other lady who came out of the office was not much any nicer, she was a tall blonde and just as rude,. she acted like I was cheating her not the other way around. Also there were employees playing around at the register which was a distraction. I lobve the store for the prices, variety, and some of the employees but they need to get rid of the rude ones or teach them better customer service manners. My name is Marilyn Fennell and I was up here from Florida visiting relatives.

Dollar General needs to give more care about thier employees. They need to give more staff at night and more hours to employees who have been there longer. They also need to understand that if an employee quits that it should show quickly that they are no longer working.

iwent to the lewistown il. store and bought two tmobile refill cards when the casher scaned them with her gun i ask her why she did not slide them to activte them she said they did not have to do that any more so i went home to add them to my phones and they told me they were not active i have been back to the same store 4 times each time telling me something diffrent today the person told me they could slide them to activate them but i woud have to pay for them again im like what i have payed once showed him the recipte he said thats the only wat it will work isaid no give me acorp number he said he did not have it

Today was my first and last visit to the Dollar General on Del Pardo Blvd.in Cape Coral Fl. The store on a whole was good BUT the man who checked me out looked like he would rather have been any where but there. Never looked at me never said anything but got very irratated when my card would not work in the machine. They should better train their people in customer service.

I just wanted to say that the two stores in Satsuma Florida are great. Friendly staff, clean stores, and items almost always in stalk.

I work for a Dollar General Market, I like my job, most of the people, but the managers need to get back bones and get rid of the lazy employees, or the ones who call off when they dont want to work and still have a job, The employees who come and put there heart and soul into their jobs seem to get little reconition. I think the district manager and the companie need to be awhere of this . The area I work in is in Trumbull County.

I would never shop at Dollar General the service was awful. I was shopping for some items that were marked red dot at 90percent off the item ,I was told by the associate . I then was told that it was not marked red dot at the check out and told that they were not giving there merchandise away . Well goodbye dollar general you have lost a customer what poor customer service.
