Dollar General Corporate Office & Headquarters

I worked for Dollar General for 2 months and I had to have surgery done. The manager didn't tell me I could take a leave of absence and keep my job. Then I had to reapply. My application finally went through and I got hired back on but because I only want evening work during the week and I would like every other Sat. off because my son is in rehab and that is the only time we can visit him she can't put me back on the schedule because that's not the hours she can schedule me for I will never be on the schedule. Dollar General is not willing to work with someone with special needs and are the worst company to work for. I am not that desperate for a job!!!!

Can't believe I have been giving all my money to this business for 7 years now for our business. We do trucking with asphalt and need soap powder for to throw on our trucks so it don't stick. I have bought up to 10 cases a week plus everything else we needed. Went to the new store in Newville today and my son who is 38 asked me to get him a pack of cigs, I am 60 years old and disabled and I was never so embarrased and humiliated in my life as I was made feel in that store today. I had to go out to my car being disabled to get my drivers license to prove I was over 18 years old. If the ppl working there aren't smart enough to see you are well over 18 then they need more intellegent workers. She could of just asked me for my year of birth, the one woman that works there even knows me and knows I am 60 years old and said this is there policey. Well I told them they will never get any more of my business again, I will drive 20 mile to another business to buy my supplies before I give them another dime of my money.

When does your employes have the right to say the store is closed down at 8:30 on a Friday night then turn around and let the next person in I think its screwed up that's what the dollar store on main street in elk city okla just did to me and my wife I wish you would do something about it not fair at all

I worked for dollar general and love it. It's a great career. I was wondering if you had to have drivers license to be a key holder at a store. Cause store 2248 in Cleveland Tn has four key holder and which two of them does have a driver's licenses. I thought it was in the hand book that they had to.

I was in our local Dollar General yesterday. There are two registers but only one was open. The line was backed up (literally) half way thru the store. I asked for another register to be opened and was told they were allowed to open only one. The one that WAS open, the cashier left the register twice with one customer and slowly rambled thru the store like he was the only one there. Took 10 minutes to check out one customer. There were NO smiles, NO apologies for the inconvenience, nothing. There are two other dollar stores in this town and I will buy from them next time. Somebody needs to get their act straight.,

I needed thumb drives, so I went to the Dollar General Store on McIntosh Street in Vidalia, GA. I saw a hanging display with thumb drives. The only visible drive (the first on on the display was an 8 GB drive. I grabbed a handful and purchased them. When I started using the drives I found that only the first drive (the only one visible on the display) was an 8 GB drive, all of the rest were 4 GB drives. I will not shop at Dollar General again. I would rather pay higher prices for a product than be deceived by Dollar General (or any other Merchant).

Dollar General has no idea how to run a company. It truely amazes me how they can be such a big corporation. They treat their Managers unfairly. I was a manager for three years and finally had to leave because of my health. I never had high blood pressure before and in the short time I worked for them my blood pressure became so high my doctors were truely worred I might have a heart attack. I would never recommend any one to work for Dollar General.

I bought at the store in Pocola oklahoma last night..it didn't fit so I returned it today WITH the receipt and was told it was now onsale and I could only get the sale price back this was told to me by the manager and I am not at all happy and will never go back to another Dollar General store....its a same ya'll are willing to lose a daily customer by cheating them out of a few dollars.

I'm not going to name my location because it will create drama. I have worked for DG in the past, and I am very disappointed. I was not trained very well and was helping to open a new store. I had four different people telling me what to do and it was confusing. I was asked to hide a few boxes of heavy fire extinguishers in the back room before the fire/safety inspection (which is just plain wrong to begin with) It was very tight back there and I ended up dropping it on my foot. I came back out and said something to manger but they just kind of laughed. Thank goodness I wasn't hurt too bad but I think that mangers in general need to treat their employees better.

I am a longtime customer of dollar general in Gadsden al store #2482. Their closing time is 10:00. I go to the store about 9:50 to get Tylenol for a sick baby they tell me they are closed. I respond I thought u close at 10 she goes on to say WE ARE CLOSED! But proceeds to let someone in after she tells me they are closed and says this is a workers husband. First of they closed before closing time. I work in the same type of business if u are closed no one comes in. I was really pissed because I had to ride 20 min away to get meds for a sick baby!

I shop the Meadville ,MS dollar general frequently and today it was sooooo hot in the store I could not shop comfortably . The temp outside was 95 with humidity higher than that ! I do not know how those employees perform their duties in a hot environment ! I felt for them ! The temp should be lowered to a cooler temp for everyone who shops or works there ! It has always been hot in the store ! I will not continue to shop there if the store is not cooler ! The Dollar General stores in other counties are not hot like this one is ! Thank you for your attention !!!!

I used to shop in store 8355 in mt. pleasant tn there was a very nice manager always working she kept the store clean and was friendly she had been there 5 plus years she even worked for a month with no restroom for the customer or for the employees to use (yes I know that for a fact that was out of order) the health department closed the store for 5 days because of no restroom no one knows why she left except that she was let go the new manager is rude and hateful you can not walk down the isles can you get the old manager back or al least get a new one

Went to store un Westwego,La on hwy 90 outside of store is horrible trash every where went in store boxes all over the place.The worst part of the the visit is when my mom slipped on liquid detergent they had that was spill all over the floor no one around to pick it up when she call for help no one responded call for management she didn't ask if she was ok or anything didn't even proceed to fill out accident report the rest of the workers were rude and disrespectful called my attorney immediately this is just so sad when this store don't care there customers or keeping the store clean so stuff like this wouldn't happen i hope they shut it down

I have been going to this store for approx. 3 years. This store(216 Bullsboro DR STE B Newnan GA 30263) is in need of help! !!!!!!! I have never seen it so dirty and cluttered . You can hardly get around the isles The clerks are outside either eating or smoking !! One clerk behind the register. I know there is new management but they are not even getting the store clean up. I'm not sure how the manager even finds his desk. This use to be a nice store and clean!!! Send help immediately get it clean up.!!!!!

Your DG store in Strong, AR is deplorable. Stock is out of place all over the store. There are carts and bins of merchandise in almost every aisle. Valuable employees are being lost everyday because of the way they are treated by the manager. The store really needs more employees, especially to stock. There are two registers at the front, but only one is usually in operation and there is usually a line of customers waiting to be checked out. I was in there one evening with a line of customers at the register and I even called out to the manager that he needs to send someone up here to check. It ridiculous that this store is in such disarray. New employees get well-trained and they won't last long before they are gone, probably because of the treatment from the manager. Nobody's got time for that!

Store # 10126 - Every time I go in hard to find a cashier to check out. Isles are always dirty and full of stuff, can't get a cart through. Check out credit card machine is always broken A lot of us have to walk out without buying our stuff because we are told CASH only, no debit, checks, credit we can't help you. Three of us in a row had to walk out of the store, plus the cashier told us to put all of our stuff in our carts back where we got them Terrible management. Always shop there but maybe not so much anymore.

your store in Eastabuchie Mississippi needs all new workers I bought a pack of cigarettes did not get to the door of the store and saw it was not the right cigarettes I ask the cashier if I could get the right one he said he would have to get a manager it was 10 min. be four she came up to the cashier it tuck 45 more min. for her to get the right ones so it tuck 50 min. to get 1 pack of cigarettes and the manager was so rude I will not be back.

I would say what store I work in but that would cause to much drama. All i have to say is that my manager is no help to me at all. I started working there about two months ago. I was not informed about anything of my job just what to clean, what to recover, and serve the guest. I was not informed of how we would be paid or when we would be paid. So for that, on my w-4 form I had an extra 20 dollars taken out of my check. I barely get any hours and I have benifits. We get paid every week,so with saying that you can assume how little my checks are. In order for me to fix this, I myself have to send in my w-4 form because my manager doesn't know how to do so. I called HR NO ANSWER!!! I am so tired of this. There was only one person who could help me. A lady from HR in a completely different state! Seriously it is not her job to help someone 2000 miles away. I have no clue how to get a hold of anyone in my area and I am so done with this.
