I would like to express I USE 2 SHOP @ dillards norfolk va,,,i give 5 stars now i give u no business and no stars I am a people person and enjoy the same treatment. I was shopping @ the edge where a well spoken latino man and young latina approach me with open arms, I am hispanic as well where it made shopping easier due to i can speak with someone who under stands me.I got royal treatment service,, I got a facial done with a clarosanic machine, than it was followed by my eyebrows gettin filled in and than a complete make over.. The manager his name was sidney and her name is kristy. he went and purchase me a bottle off water while i was getting pampered. as i was getting pampered a very high energy punky hair girl walks up, and was watching her name is ita.she joined kristy and help pick out skin products.. Make it short i purchase the machine, ee make up, lipsticks nail polishes,, skin care items, I never felt so good walking in and walking out . I was there a few days ago,, and no ne was @ the edge dept. I waited maybe 10 mins, finally someone walks and said can i help u. I said i would like to see kristy, she said she dont wk here, i ask for sidney she said he dont wk here. I said how about ita she said she is off today. I said wow amazin tdo u know where they are. she said when someone isnt dedicated i get rid off them. i said are u the store manager she said kind off i am in charge of cosemtic and i am the manager in duty. she was rude and had no personality. I will never ever come back and shop at dillards ever again. When someone has a good person wking for company we return looking for them to enjoy our shopping expierence, Please show manner and be more professional to customers, again, ashame that they lost good people,there lost someone else gain.
How you have let me be just a person that means noting to you. I am a person who work for you for 15 years and was told after I got help that there will be no unemp. For you. I did not know I was let go at that time. Now I have my life and one child dead. And one that hate me . And I have lossed myself because of your managent. Tilling me as they et pick me up from a treatment place their was no uninpolyment for me and other. I said to my self they ate going to get rid of me I'm along what will I do. I said I will not let them let me go I will leave on my terms.
I have no complaints at this time. I do a lot of on line buying and I wish Dillards had a site-to-store when ordering on line. Walmart has this policy and it's very helpful..I simply check the merchandise at the time of pick up and if there is any damage or it's not correct in any way...I am already at the store to take care of it. We just built a new home and I would like to ordered Kitchen items and bedding that is only available on line. I have found in the past returing items to Dillards is not a simple process....I am talking about items that you buy directly from the store. I am wondering how hard it will be to return items that you buy on line. I wish they would consider site-to-store policy. I intend to make this suggestion to Dillards and hope that others will do the same. Thank-you
Ok, first things first...the Dillards @ The St.Johns Towncenter in Jacksonville, Fl. is absolutly horrible! I went there this past week and had shopped their "Big & Tall" dept. There were 3 employees standing around talking and never said a freaking word to me. After being there for almost 15-20 minutes a man walked out of a room and spoke to me, he had a military like behavior to him but was really good with knowing the product they sold and came across very likable and clean cut. Where it gets bad is after this guy helped me pick out a few things and really seemed sincere in his approch, some tall country talking white guy came over and started acting like he had been helping me all along...then the dude actully got a attitude with the guy who really was helping me! These people are fing crazy! I felt so uncomfortable and I felt bad for the dude who was hleping me, you could tell that counrty @$$ guy had a attitude because he knew he wasn't gonna get the sale. I ended up spending $893.11 on "Polo" merch and socks, underwear and a belt. when i left i was stared down and given a nast glare by the 3 employees who were standing there talking. I hate to use race as a cause, however the guy who helped me was a young black guy and the losers standing around running there mouths were older white people and a fat latino looking lady. I thought Dillards was suppose to be an upscale store...that place is like Walmart with better looking stuff thats all! There employees are very lazy acting and I feel bad for the few good ones that have to complete with the losers that work there!
the store manager(rodger) at the dillards @ the st. johns towncenter in jacksoville florida is a moron, a complete dummy, i complained to him about everytime i come there they never have my size in the RT&Y pants i wear for work, and this guy seemd so clueless. almost demeaning me because I buy there product. If he thinks it's such a bad product then why in the hell do you sell it. I was really pissed he seemed to have such a nasty attitutde towards people who shop there! i will never go back to that place as long at that jerk works there, never!
My daughter purchased a homecoming dress from Dillard's in the Eastwood Mall, Niles, Ohio on Wednesday evening, September 12, 2012, at 8:24 PM (the time is on the receipt). She tried it on at home for her mother to see. Her mother thought it was too short, and then noticed several of the sequines under the arm were just barly hanging on by loose threads, not flush with the fabric. She took the dress off, placed it back on the hanger, and put the bag back over the dress, just the way she got it. She never touched the tags - the tags were on the dress just the way they were when she found it. This afternoon, 2 days later, on September 14, 2012 she went to return the dress. They refused to accept they return, not even giving her store credit. They said the tag says it can't be returned. Actually, the tag says it can't be returned IF the tag is removed - which it wasn't. My daughter told the lady this, and then the lady says that the dress is not in the same condition it was when it was purchased, so it can't be returned. (That sounds familiar, I read that in a few other posts. Seems to be their standard line). I daughter then spoke to a manager, who says the same thing. She calls me at home, and tells me what is going on, so I go the mall. When I go in the store, two uniformed police officers are present, speaking to the manager. They stood off, watching me as I spoke with the manager. She still refused to accept the return, telling me that it is her job to enforce the store rules regarding returns. Whatever happened to customer service?

I purchased Items fro the Chesterfield, MO Dillard's store, and two days later went to return items marked with '3-DAY RETURN LIMIT ON THIS ITEM'. (their caps, not mine) They refused to accept the returns stating these we non-returnable items. Never mind the merchandise return policy on the back of the receipt, nor he 3 day limit on the front of the receipt, they don't mean a darn thing. I won't be spending my money at Dillard's any time soon.
Dillards Desert Sky Mall, rude mangement. I was shopping with my wife, while she was shopping for some sexy wear. When I overheard a manger named Elizebeth chewing on an employee, just being down right nasty. Though before I could go say anything she was gone, and chirpping about how much she hated all the Filipino people that work in that store. I asked for store manager, but was told she was not in. Funny thing bout that, was also told she wouldn't do anything anyway. WOW, way to hire em up old man Dillard, we have choosen to shop elsewhere now. Bigots, racists, and the such have no place in management.
I called the Dillard store located in the Galleria Mall in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and got through to a pleasant enough young lady. I needed to ask a question with their shoe department. She transferred my call and it rang and rang for some time, when someone finally picked up only to disconnect me. Guess which store is not getting any of my business.
I went to Dillard's today to pay my bill. I had used my Dillard's credit card for two purchases. When I went to pay the bill with a gift card that my children had given me for my birthday, I was told I was unable to do this. Why? Isn't a gift card to Dillard's good for any purchase. I will never use my Dillard's credit card again. Much easier to use my Visa.
Dear Sirs/Madam, I am trying very hard not to curse you, so bare with me; I will no longer take my business to Dillard's, you are a sinking ship with respect to customer service. Try to pay my bill on line proves difficult, inefficient and and absolutely insulting. I was met with one blog after another from people the same difficulties with your website as myself. I'm talking thousands! Why this is nota wake up call to you fine people at corporate Is beyond me. My husband and I are both big business people, with little time to fuss with such matters as attempting to navigate through a jungle of BS that is your web site. It's 2012 folks, there are no do-overs! You've lost us, and will continue to lose savvy folks in the upper-income category, until it's too late, or increase your website, pay bill on line budgets. S. WTF I bought a pair of pants and brought them home. I found out they did not fit very well, So i brought them back to Dillard's in Melbourne fl mall and they refused to take them back because they said they where not in original condition and not because they where damaged but because they did not have the tags still stapled to them. The receipt clearly says, i mean very clearly says "Merchandise must be returned within thirty (30) calendar days of purchase; and must be in its original, unused condition unless there is a manufacturer’s defect; and must be accompanied by either the original Dillard’s Receipt or the original Dillard’s Proof of Purchase Label. IT DOES NOT SAY I NEED THE TAGS STILL ATTACHED TO THE ITEM. AND ORIGINAL CONDITION DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE TAGS STILL NEED TO BE ATTACHED.SO I WARN ANYONE WHO BUYS ANYTHING FROM DILLARD'S THAT THERE RETURN POLICY IS A NO RETURN POLICY. ALSO THE RECEIPT ONLINE IS DIFFIDENT FROM THE ONE THEY GIVE YOU AT THE STORE.
To make it short and sweet I applied to dillards they interviewed me, then called me back 4 days later offering me the job telling me to come in to fill out he W2 form and 5 minutes later they called and said they jumped the gun and I actually did not get the job. Shouldn't dillards be more organized to not have to do that to someone? They said they had someone who was more qualified... How are you more qualified to press a button on a cash register an upsale? Whoever is the manager at the dillards in pueblo colorado is an idiot! I WAS a former shopper of the store but I will take my business elsewhere.
Is there anything less to rate this completely asinine store management? My daughter, a valuable 9 year employee in management in California - just got fired! Why? Because she fell asleep at her desk for a short while! Yes! Add to that that she has more successful and one of kind events in her 3 departments - yes she was ASM of 3 departments!!!! There is a fairly new manager at this store and she took a disliking to her from the start. My daughter is very outspoken and direct and many people cannot take her at face value. But! There is no one in the entire store that can outwork her and come up with better ideas. She has made more money for this store than the rest put together. But - because she feel asleep - not to say it wasn't her lunch break or one of the many 15 minute breaks allowed by CA law - she was fired! Wrongful termination to the hilt! I am encouraging her to seek counsel on this one. Your loss Dan! Maybe you got the wrong information given to you? I think you should call her personally. Do you not have the guts to ask one of your most valuable employees all these years her side????? If not , your great loss. So sad for her. She is an emotional wreck and I don't know if she will get over this. Add to it - she is a single mom - how will she make it? Only God knows. I will NEVER shop at this store again.
My stats on my home page are far and few between... BUT TODAY just took the cake! Dillard's Department Store/ Lake Charles Louisiana on 7/30/2012 @ about 2:30 - 3pm ~ After my step-daughter, daughter-in-law and neice did some much needed dress shopping, we proceeded to the check out counter.... while standing there, I asked the cashier, "Do you take military discounts?" The cashier replies, "We only except military discount the day before Christmas". I replied, "Well I know my money will not be spent here!" I then let the lady know we had a coupon for 20% off.... She hands my step-daughter her receipt. I asked, "Did she take the 20% off?" She said no. I asked the cashier, "Do you take coupon's?" She asks, "Do you have a Dillard credit card?" I replied, No...she said, "Well, we only except coupon's if you have a Dillard credit card. WHAT THE H.....LL DILLARD.... 1st off.... Our soldiers are out there busting their chops and dropping like flies but you cant give a small discount.... take the tax off?.... And whats up with not excepting the coupon's unless you have a charge card.... OH I SEE !!!! America isnt in debt enought so you want people to go further in debt with your credit card just to give a discount! That just helps me make my choice not to shop there EVER AGAIN!

Warnign for buying clearance shoes at Dillards. I got a great pair, a few days later when I wore them on the carpet at home I noticed they hurt. I grabbed the receipt and was headed out the door when I saw on the receipt, "3-DAY RETURN LIMIT ON THIS ITEM". Did the salesperson say anything to let me know? NO! Did they put that comment in red letters so a customer would spot it? NO! Never again. The salesperson KNEW this policy and said nothing to me. They have lost a customer forever. For a big outfit like Dillards, this is pretty sad and disgusting. I might as well have just opened my car window and toss the money on the street.
I have not had a very good experience with Dillards in Crestview Hills KY as well as Kenwood, Oh. We bought a prom dress for my daugher and due to unforseen circumstances she was not able to go. It has never bee worn, the tags are still on it and we have the receipt. We tried to take it back and received three different answers: 1. We can only give partial credit because that dress is now on clearance and can't give back full price, not even a store credits. 2. Oh, no problem we can take that back, if it doesn't ring at the register, we will just send you to customer service and they will give you full in store credit. So i got to the store.... 3. Oh I am sorry (per the manager) we cannot give you any credit for this dress. Okay the dress was not cheap ($170), I am not asking for cash, but the least you can do is give store credit (the money will becoming right back to the store). This isn't the first time I have had issues returning items. I once bought a pair of shoes and less than a month later they broke. I took them back and they would not replace them because I didn't keep the shoe box. Who keeps shoe boxes. I can tell you, Dillards will not be getting my business and plan to spread the word!
When attempting to shop at your Peoria az store my wife found out that there was no access to the store for handicapped persons or no way for a handicapped person to get out of the store.It seems tome that you do not want handicapped people to shop at your store.I want you to know that I will be reporting this to the American with Dissabilitees.
