I PICKED DAVIDS BRIDAL BECAUSE I HAVE BRIDESMAIDS ACCROSS THE COUNTRY AND I FIGURED IT WOULD BE CONVENIENT FOR ALL INVOLVED TO SHOP, COMPARE AND BUY!! BOY! WAS I WRONG!!! IN 3 DIFFERENT STATES THEY TREATED US LIKE CRAP. THEY HAD "NO TIME" FOR US AND OUR QUESTIONS AND WANTS. EVERYBODY IN ALL 3 STATES ACTED LIKE THEY WANTED TO BE ELSEWHERE. IF YOU HAVE THAT ATTITUDE, MAYBE YOU SHOULDNT BE WORKING IN CUSTOMER SERVICE! IN ALL 3 STATES, WE DEFINATLEY DID NOT RECIEVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE! MY SOON TO BE SISTER IN LAW HAD A HORRIBLE TIME IN PENNSYLVANIA. SHE TOOK IN A DB PIC OF A DRESS SHE COULD ONLY ORDER ONLINE. MY SISTER IN LAW KNEW THIS BUT JUST WANTED TO TRY ON SOMETHING THAT WAS SIMILAIR SO SHE CAN SEE HOW IT FITS AND GET HER CORRECT SIZE. THE GIRL JUST SAID THAT THERE WAS NOTHING IN THE STORE LIKE THAT SPECIFIC INTERNTET DRESS AND BLEW HER OFF. SO I DID THE GIRLS JOB FOR HER, LOOKED EVERYTHING UP AND CALLED THEM MYSELF SO THAT MY SISTER IN LAW COULD TRY ON A DRESS TO GET THE RIGHT SIZE!! AGAIN, IF YOU DONT DO YOUR JOB CORRECTLY, THEN YOU SHOULDNT BE THERE! RIGHT? MY OTHER BRIDESMAID WENT IN TO A DB IN DENVER AND WAS TREATED LIKE THEY DIDNT HAVE TIME OR PATIENCE FOR HER. THEY WERE OF NO HELP TO HER!! WHEN I WENT IN FOR MY WEDDING DRESS, I HAD VERY FEW SPECIFICATIONS AND A PRETTY DECENT BUDGET. I GUESS THAT PRICE WAS NOT RIGHT FOR DAVIDS BRIDAL! THE GIRL WHO WAS HELPING ME HAD A RUSHED ATTITUDE AND SAID THERE WERE NOT MANY DRESSES IN MY BUDGET WITH DETAILS I WANTED. SHE PULLED A FEW DRESSES THAT WERE HIGHER THAN MY BUDGET AND NOT WHAT I WANTED. SHE WAS PUSHY AND RUSHING ME THE WHOLE TIME. I ENDED UP FINDING A DRESS THAT NEEDS ALTERED BUT DB IS WAY TOO EXPENSIVE FOR ALTERATIONS. I HAVE TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT, WHICH IS FINE BECAUSE I DONT WANT TO EVER STEP INTO A DAVIDS BRIDAL STORE AGAIN!!! NOW LUCKILY, MY BUDGET WAS NOT IN THE 99-LOW HUNDREDS PRICE RANGE BECAUSE I AM SURE THERE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ANY DRESSES FOR ME!! I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THEIR SNEAKY COMMERICALS, TALKING ABOUT CHEAP AWESOME DRESSES. I DONT CARE WHAT YOUR BUDGET IS, THE COMMERCIALS ARE DECIEVING AND UNTURE!! IT IS JUST A HORRIBLE GIMICK TO GET GIRLS IN THE STORE JUST TO BE PUSHED AROUND, RUSHED AND TALKED INTO A MORE EXPENSIVE DRESS!!! I DO NOT AND WILL NOT SUGGEST DAVIDS BRIDAL TO ANYONE!! WE DID NOT GET THE BRIDESMAID DRESSES THEIR. I REFUSED TO GO THROUGH B.S. JUST TO BE DISSAPOINTED AGAIN FOR MY HAPPY DAY! I WILL ALWAYS SUGGEST TO GO ELSEWHERE BESIDES DAVIDS FREAKIN BRIDAL!!!

I have dealt with David's Bridal 1 time and NEVER AGAIN! HORRIBLE ATTITUDES! Very Rude to customers and also hang up on clients while on the telephone with people when trying to ask certain questions about returns. They absolutely refuse to accept a return on account of their NO REFUND / NO RETURN POLICY! Even with all tags still remaining on the wedding gown and accessories! I have invested $1,530.00 for everything in cash, and they will not even talk with me when I call them. They are not nice to people at all at David's Bridal located at 19 Spring Valley Market Place in Spring Valley, New York. Especially the MANAGERS! I ABSOLUTELY HATE DAVID'S BRIDAL AND WILL NEVER EVER DEAL WITH THEM EVER AGAIN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! I WILL GO ELSEWHERE! I have never used the wedding dress or even the accessories and all tags are still on each and every item that was ever bought from them. Never taken out of any of the bags or boxes since purchase of every item. I bought all of these things in May 2011. I think that it is all due to them not wanting to lose a quota / customer's money and having to pay the customer back all that they spent on the items. My Wedding Dress was also FILTHY AND DIRTY FROM BEING TRIED ON BY OTHER PEOPLE! MAKEUP ON THE HALTER AREA, AND DIRT ON THE CATHEDRAL TRAIN AND RIPPED ON THE VEIL AND BLESSING VEIL THE CORSET WAS DIRTY AND DUSTY, AND SO WAS THE SLIP! I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT BACK INTO ANOTHER DAVID'S BRIDAL! GOT TO FIND A BETTER PLACE TO SHOP AT AND HAVE DAVID'S BRIDAL REPORTED TO THE FTC AND THE BBB ASAP HOPEFULLY TO CLOSE THEM ALL DOWN!

I have to say, I am very disappointed at this store. The consultants are rude and pushy, she kept trying to sell me the most expensive dress and accessories even though I kept telling her I am on a budget. (I know you work for a commission but stop trying to get me to give you a bigger paycheck) She kept opening up the door without even knocking, exposing me to the other customers. The people who did the alterations do not know what they are doing, they made the dress too short even though I repeated to them I wanted it to touch the floor. The woman at the front desk ordered a size bigger so when I picked up the dress she said she always orders a size up because "people tend to gain weight before a wedding", I was never told that when I ordered the dress. I will never go there again and I will tell everyone I know not to shop there because of these situations I encountered while being there.

You think your customer service is bad. Working for them is worse!!!!

My daughter recently married and bought her dress in Cincinnati. The staff there was amazing and very helpful. I bought my dress there as did the flower girl and wedding party. The alterations department was amazing, I cannot say enough about them. Now for the one star. My daughter took the dress to a David's in Atlanta where she was marrying to have the alterations done. I paid over $200 and the dress was unwearable. They took absolutely no responsibility for the mess. The woman I spoke to said my daughter should have never taken the dress from the store. Our point, was why would she leave it and trust them to fix it? Honestly, they were just taking it in and hemming it. We took it elsewhere in Atlanta where I paid another $200 but they did an amazing job and knew immediately how to fix the problems. A very bad and disappointing experience.

I used the store in Spring, TX on 1960.. The place was not very clean when I went in to get my bridesmaid and wedding gown!!! They were not helpful they assigned a lady to help me but she had other people to help she did not get a single dress to help me find my gown my bridesmaids had to help me!! When it came time for me to pick out the bridesmaids gowns another bride in the store helped us after we picked out so many dresses to try on!!! Went back for my alterations the lady was very bossy and demanding!!! I had to send my mother-in-law back with my step daughter for alterations they were extremely rude told her she had one date to pick it up and two times take it or leave it!! The date was 2 days before my wedding!!! The last straw was when I decided to go the Waco store cause I did not want to use the store in spring and they had to let my dress out. The store in spring did such a bad job on altering it the first time that the Waco store couldn't do anything and there were holes in my dress!! They are more than willing to help me when it wasn't even there fault to begin with!! They called me and said they would have to ship in a new dress to be altered and or will get here on Wednesday the 24th my wedding is on the 27th!!! They are doing complete alterations on one day on Thursday to guarantee that I will have a wedding dress by Saturday day for my wedding. The Waco store was very clean and everyone was more than willing to help me!! I would give the Waco store 4 stars but would not recommend the store in Spring on 1960 to anyone!!!

David's Bridal in Deptford NJ. was the worst experience I've ever had. The sales managers brush you off by hanging the phone up while you are talking to them, and lying to your face to just get you out of the store.I am complaining about Kathy B. not sure of her last name, and the the other that work at that location. They are a disgrace and should be fired.

My granddaughter is in her uncle's wedding and the bride chose a dress from David's Bridal for her girls. We went to the Altamonte Springs store to get her dress. The one salesgirl that helped her was very nice and answered all my daughter in laws questions about her daughter's dress. She helped to get the right size for my granddaugter that would require the fewest alterations. Since we were there I thought I would look for a dress for myself. I was given a few dress to try on and was left to fend for myself trying them on. My daughter in law and my granddaughter looked through the racks for dress for me to try on. They also had to come into the dressing room to help with the zipping up of all of the dresses. Thank goodness my granddaughter's dress was altered the exact way we were told it would be. My case was entirely different. I was to have the shoulder straps adjusted and the side seams on the top of the dress taken in. Went back for the shoulder straps and they still were not fixed the way I requested. I was told the reason for them not fitting was because of the bra I was wearing. I told the woman in alterations, it is the same one I had on when I was first fitted. Annoyed, the woman said they would fixed the way I wanted. So back again I went today and lo and behold the straps were adjusted. HOWEVER, the top of the dress had not been taken in. I was told they were taken in and that the problem again went back to my bra. I showed both my daughter in law and granddaughter the dress without saying anything, and both of them said didn't they fix the sides? The woman in alterations very rudely said that they were fixed and I proceeded to show her that there was too much fabric on the side of the dress. She looked at me like she couldn't be bothered and finally pinned the sides and said that they would fix it but I would have to come back in 1/2 an hour. Luckily the dress was done in that 1/2 hour and fit like it was supposed to the first time. David's may have a large selection of dress for brides, bridesmaids and mothers of the bride and groom. Their prices may be reasonable, but their alteration prices are very expensive. I paid $20 less than the cost of my dress for the alterations that took 3 tries to get right. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Prices and selection aside, the consultants need to be taught how to deal with their patrons both on the bridal floor and in the alteration department.

I didn't realize that davids bridal would cause so much problems! We've had horrible times with them. Bought wedding dress, its was missing hooks was dirty basically they would've had to remake the whole dress! Had bridesmaids fitted went to see if they altered it to make it fit better and they hadn't even touched it!! If u don't want the run around or u don't want to be screwed with go somewhere else b/c this place is horrible!

just to let you know that Angela the manager at horseheads is aweful. all she did was talk to a consultant and totally ignored me. whatever. I had money to spend that day.

First off, my symapthy goes out to the brides who went through their ordeals. My experience wuth the actual store was a great one. My complaint is with the invitation portion of david's bridal. I purchased 75 invitations from them that were advertised as complete, however; when I received.them they had not enough envelopes, no ribbons, and were completely naked! When I called to inquire about it, I was told it was my fault because i didnt read the "fine print". I asked to speak to a superviser on more than one occasion and was told each time that their was none on duty at the moment and that i should leave a number for one to get back to ,,me which I am still waiting for two weeks later. ,And if that isnt enough, they came almost a week later than they were supposed to. They overnighted me the rest of the envelopes and when I opened them they were wrong also. I asked for outer, they sent me inner. Sheer incompetence! I can't wait to finish the letter to corporate! I have a few other friends getting married between the end of this year and the middle of next. I will make sure that they do not use this horrible service! - Nay, Ny

I am the grandmother of the bride who is paying for most of the wedding. The maid of honor which is also the sister of the bride went yesterday for a fitting. The dress purchased in April was a little tight and needed a simple alteration. When we were told the price of the alterations,I could not believe it. The price was $15.00 more for the alterations than the price of the dress. I am appalled that David's Bridal is chargeing for alterations as most stores do not when you purchase clothing from them. The price they quoted me is outgrageous. I will never do business with them again and I am encouraging everyone I know with daughters and granddaugthers to never enter the store. It is a big rip off.

My daughter went to David's Bridal in Danvers, MA and purchased a bridesmaid dress in July of 2011. When she tried the dress on in the store it was a perfect fit (size 2 - she tried and another size 2 that fit also)so she order it. The salesperson took her measurements and then placed the order. When we went to the store to pick up the dress, surprise - the size 2 doesn't fit! It needs to be altered in the bust area (which she is small, but the dress was even smaller) and the abdomen and waist area which were to big. This is NOT how the sample size 2 dresses in the store fit and why take measurements, if the dress is not going to fit correctly. That's where they make additional money off these cheaply made dresses - the alterations! Not only do you pay for the dress, but you can double your cost with the alterations. The dress should have only needed to be hemmed when it came in, but it needed to be completely redone. When the rude and ignorant Store Manager came over to hear our complaint, she really didn't care because their store policy was NO REFUNDS! So in other words we have your money and your stuck with our crap! They only offer to get you another size dress (which would have had to be altered even more) or give you a store credit if your lucky! Don't waste your time or money at this store - they do not care about customer service or the product that they sell. Once they have your money, they don't care whether your satisfied or not!

Had a wonderful experience when I Bought a Mother of the Bride Dress at another store with a totally different view on returns. the owner of the shop was very helpful with the shoes and jewelry etc. and would have given refund even after alterations if not happy. Was totally pleased with that experience. When my second son was to be married I tried David's Bridal and found a lovely dress. loved it. the consultant did not offer to help with accessaries. the alteration department was not helpful with alterations. bought the dress thinking i could get alterations elsewhere. was not informed of the no return policy. My son eloped and I have now will never get to wear the dress and have no need for an exchange of merchandise. In store credit would have been more helpful as I have 2 more daughters and another son to marry off. But because of your policies I have decided to go back to the first store when they decide to marry. Very upset with David's bridal. What a waste of money and time.

I got my dress in December of 2010 so my bridesmaids order there is in Aug 3 which the wedding is in November so called to order three bridemaids dress she charge me 149.00 each so I called to make sure to order her dress so she called and lady that took her order charge her 129.00 so I realize she did'nt give me the discount which a all my bridemaids and flower girl and the mother of Bride had the discount but they didn't want to give me the discount for the three dress I will never again David Bridal in Dedham, Mass and the manger was not helpful her name was Lorraine just because she couldn't find me in the computer when I ordered my dress its no my fault they don't have things in order which I waited for a 1 hour till I spoke to manager honstly I will like my discount for all dress or I have to speak to my lawyer this is awful I'm very upset I have to order 2 more dress I'm having them to order somewhere else that has the same dress.

For my wedding I chose Davids Bridal in Murrieta California to order my bridesmaids dress from because i was ASSURED that Men's Warehouse coordinated with the colors of Davids Bridal. It even says so on the website. So after spending a lot of money and 3 months of waiting i received all my bridesmaids dress just to find out that Men's Warehouse had stop selling that color!!!!!!! The color is Rose Petal, not some random rainbow color that's hard to sell! DB didn't even care. They told me sorry, even though it was them who swore Mens Warehouse sold that color. They also told me to change my color! ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!! So now my wedding is a month away and all the groomsmen and my ring barer wont have the right colors! I have a lot of money invested in my wedding decor to perfectly match Rose petal! And now im screwed. Thanks for ruining my wedding DB!!! And having horrible customer service!!!! Someone should really do something about this but no.

. I am very unhappy with the service I received at Davids Bridal. I ordered my wedding dress and my flower girls dress about a year in advance of my wedding. At this time I was told that I would receive a complementary cleaning and press about 8 days before my wedding. The week of my wedding I received 4 different phone calls as a reminder that I had an alterations department. I explained that I did not need alterations as I had already had them done with a local tailor. Each time the women assured me that it was ok and that I would need to bring in the dress on the same scheduled day to be cleaned and pressed. A few days before my wedding I had my maid of honor bring the two dresses in. I was out of town and could not do it myself. I received a phone call from my maid of honor saying that Davids did not have me scheduled and that they would not take the dress because my alterations were done elsewhere. I stayed on the phone with a manager for at least an hour. After explaining to her a number of times that somebody called me and told me that it was ok to have to my alterations done elsewhere and that they would still honor the cleaning and pressing. After telling her that I would call the corporate office to complain did she agree to take the dress. At this time they told my maid of honor that she could not leave the dress so she would have to sit and wait. Unfortunately she was unable to stay so I had to come back from out of town pick up the dress and take it to Davids myself, all on the same day. I asked the manager Ruth if she would be there when I arrived and she said no that Mary would be there. I asked her to make sure Mary was aware of the situation and to notify her that I was coming. Once I arrived about 2 hours later I spoke to Mary who had no idea what was going on which led me into going through he whole scenario all over again. At the end I did get both dresses pressed and cleaned but it was done horribly. It didn’t even look as if it was pressed. It was horrible!!! A total waste of time!!! I will never suggest Davids Bridal any bride

Someone unknown to me somewhere gave my email address at a store. I have unsubscribed from every single piece of spam they have sent, I have opened tickets with customer service, I have called customer service, and yet I'm told I may receive emails for up to 30 days. I wouldn't be so bent out of shape about it, but my partner recently died after a traumatic fight with cancer, and we weren't able to marry because of our health insurance situation. Each unsolicited email stabs me to the core. I have not done any business with David's Bridal, nor will I. They have also passed my email address along to "partners" so I have to go hunt down each one of THOSE businesses and request to be removed from their lists individually. Why can't they just leave me to grieve in peace???

My experience was terrible. First when i go to look at gowns i had an appointment and still had to wait over an hour to get help. I drove 2 hours away that is the ONLY reason why i had stayed. So after i purchased a dress they told me i would get free cleaning of my gown. That is from Greensboro, Nc. I decided to go to Durham, NC after having to wait with an appointment and then my consultant "helps" 3 at the same time! So I went to Durham also about 2 hours away from me to have my gown my cleaned. I called before I left to see if I needed an appointment to drop off my gown. I was told no to just bring it in. So i did the lady that helped me was told to me to be the manager of alterations. RUDE, unprofessional, uncaring is the nicest way i can put it to describe her. She opens my bag says outloud so others can hear it, "your gown is filthy and it stinks we can't do anything with this, I can smell animals (dogs) on it". I have one dog that is not going to make it dirty or smell. She told me i had to take it to a cleaners, once again being told that she couldn't do anything with it. Greensboro store told me that it would be cleaned by them at any Davids Bridal Store. Then she tells me that is has been over a year, I told her it was not then she changes to o well almost a year. I said yes that is why i am here now. i have 2 weeks left before the year to get it cleaned is up. This gown is brand new to me. This dress was being discounted so i had got it on sale. I purchased it as a floor model, being promised that is was going to be cleaned. I went this afternoon around 3pm 7/28/2011. I can't find anywhere to send an email complaint to the company. I will strongly urge my family and friends to go elsewhere to purchase anything. If they can't do anything with there gowns, then they should not sell them.

Charleston, SC.....Poor customer service, rude employees, including managers. Return policy for in-store orders not found on website. No phone number, etc. on website to submit comments, good or bad. Poor selection of dresses. All around, just shop somewhere else!
