I to have been flagged from a person I meet thru Craigslist and her and her family was flaagging for NO GOOD REASON !! I found out that a person working for Craigslist was the one STALKING, FLAGGING I try to call the main office to explain what is going on and I DONT believe you can not get ANY HELP even if you are doing NOTHING WRONG on there site...they do not monitor there WORKERS if THEY are following the GUILDLINE of Craigslist !!!...The help desk is a JOKE you acn send NOTES from now till forever and get NOWHERE !! WHY is THAT !!! ..We are working ON SUEING THEM !! For NOT BEING RESPOSIBLE for there WORKERS !!!..I have all copied ads I have spent time placing on there site, WHICH ABIDE BY THERE TERM OF USE and they get FLAGGED !! I agree that Craigslist is out of control. They have been clearly derelict in their responsibility to ensure safe, fair, and reasonable usage for customers.Demented disregard is the best legal description of their culture. Seeing as how CEO Jim Buckmaster is a self-professed 'communist' I find this very ironic. I thought the Capitalist Robber Barons were the 'bad guys'? Just goes to show you that abuse of the little guy can come from the Left, as well as the Right.

I tried to post in the Politics section, was asked for 'phone verification', and got nowhere. Said they could not verify the number. Funny, no one called me. It is time for a class action lawsuit against Craigslist. They have grossly neglected their responsibility to provide adequate service. They have monopolized the classified market and through blacklisting and ghosting have made it impossible for people in very real desperate situations to be able to sell their possessions. For me it was 2 cars I needed to sell when receiving sudden notice about moving cross country. The cars were worth $12,000 together. After posting the first, a window popped up prompting "would you like to post another". After entering the 2 along with my phone number I was blacklisted and ghosted. In today's classified adds world, CL is THE ONLY option in many many areas. I'm talking about San Francisco. Try selling a car without craigslist, it'll take you a month, even if it's a giveaway price. The experience was was quite disturbing. I spent about a week trying to outsmart their system by doing things like spending enough time in a Starbucks to befriend the staff and have them allow me to use their phone number for the verification. Once you place an add, that exact text is also blacklisted, along with any other email, IP, and phone number that ever appears in any combination with that. So when you place your second add, which for a car is nearly impossible to post with significantly different keywords, you get strike 2, and all of that info is blacklisted. I have never felt more disturbed by anything outside of a human related experience. It, literally, is a Big Brother experience. Try spending a week, running around desperately doing things which feel very wrong and sneaky, trying to outwit a computer system which after a few hours I guarantee will start to take on persecutional traits to you. The utter carelessness of the CL owners and staff began to have a deeply disturbing effect on my psyche. The fact that they know there are people out there like me, desperate, literally, and they have absolutely no desire or concern to be human about it and respond to these plights. I want to slam them to the ground, hard, with a class action lawsuit. Let's do this!

Great system, easy to use, seems too good to be true....it is. They have a horrible excuse for customer service, never answer emails, could give a crap less because we are posting for free. In a way, I understand. However, if they are going to put restrictions, GHOST ads (look up the definition of this, it's actually quite messed up) and force people to phone authorize every third ad they place, they need to be able to answer the frustrations of their users, or we will eventually stop using it. They only survive because of usage, and once another company just as capable steps up...we'll all leave and go somewhere else. Then....they will wish that they answered us. It is difficult to rid of spam and as a user I understand that. However, the people using the system to sell their business, service, products, are constantly fighting to keep their ads seen. With it being free, the only way you can do that is to post at least two to three times a day. Then, they start ghosting you, or forcing you to authorize by phone constantly when you are legit and not by definition a spammer. They should simply allow for paid adverts just like Backpage.com which is very cheap, and then you can all but eliminate the problem and stop pissing people off.

Craigslist NEVER answeres me and apparently no one else on problems. I posted to women seeking men and my post will not show up. No matter if I delete, report, renew, whatever, they send phone verification codes - I enter them. It shows that the add is "active" when I go to my account, but when you search for it it does not show. I have repeatedly contacted them and all they do is send a "form" or "pat" reponse to my email. This is BOGUS!!! That means soemone is making money off people there and will not show themselves or even answer people! What can be done for these scammers who claim to run a legitimate website?
