I work in the hospitality business and have for over 30 years.Cracker Barrel has become restuarant my entire family freqeunts the most. But today 2/15/11 at around 10:00 am ,I decide to carry my Mother to her favorite place for breakfast(Cracker Barrel)Store 502 in Richmond,Va..Ireally find it hard to believe that in our line of business there should be an excuse to rush a patron when dinig. Not even two minutes after my meal arrive to the table i was presented my check, ask to speak to the Manager on Duty (Matt) who infomed me that this is the company procedure.I find that arlarming considering that the patron across from me arrived when i did just had a cup of tea and was not presented not one item.By being in the business for so many years i could see this procedure if the restaurant was in the high volume stage ,but the parking lot and dining area`s where not even a qaurter full.I that the Hospitaliy Business is just that and should be focused on that.NOT JUST TURNIHG PATRON`S IN & OUT FOR MONETARY MEANS. Could put We put the Hospitality Business back on track and not foget that not all of your customers are in that much of a Hurry.

To Whom It May Concern, My husband Joe and I travel frequently by moter vehicle and stop at every Cracker Barrel we find along the way. We LOVE everything about C.B. I am interested in suggesting an additional location and hope you take my request seriously. We live in Townsend,Delaware and are so grateful to have a Cracker Barrel in Rehoboth, Delaware which is our wonderful beach area. Thank you so much for that. Now the remainder of the state of Delaware is deprived of all your goodness unless they travel to the "Beach" which is as far away as 200 miles for many. Dover Delaware, the state Capital is located in the middle of our state and has a wonderful space soon to become available due to a new Walmart building project. The current Walmart space on RT 13/ South DuPont Highway, Dover, DE. When that space is vacated I am asking that a magnificent Cracker Barrel be built for our pleasure. Please feel free to contact me if you need more detai;l. I will help as much as I can in this endeavor. Thank you in advance for your interest in building a Cracker Barrel Restaurant ion Dover, DE.!! Sincerely, Elaine Greggo .

I have work at Cracker Barrel 341# in Jacksonville fl for over 3 years. This is the worse place of employment. management treat employees like crap. especially manager Christine. She yells at u pushes u around treats employees likes slaves...ABUSE OF POWER should be the name of this Resturant, not Cracker Barrel. Employee relations is not there to protect the employees or resolve employees issues. There are just there because of labor guidelines and laws. How could they say their are PLEASING PEOPLE! WHEN THEY TREAT EMPLOYEES SO BAD. EMPLOYEES JUST TAKE THE TREATMENT BECAUSE THIS JOB IS ALL THE HAVE GOT. CRACKER BARREL HIRES HELP EVERYDAY BECAUSE THE FIRE YOU, TREAT U LIKE CRAP....SO THEY ALWAYS NEEDS TO REPLACE NEW SLAVES.

Cracker Barrel is great! The managers are the ones who cant do their jobs! (Especially, MIKE LEINHART) in the Henderson, NC store! He's the first manager that I seen who curse out their employees and throw stuff when he gets mad! He should never beable to manage anything because he can't even manage his attitude.

Lincoln Illinois Cracker Barrel managers are horrible and hold grudges! I didn't run as many trays one sunday and for the past month I have been working two or three days and am mostly off on the weekends where I would make the most money. I am seriously considering calling head quarters because this is ridiculous. I can't live like this and I shouldn't have to. I need security with my job I have been there 9 loyal months and deserve that much. It's slow season they have cut my hours by over half and yet they are still hiring people!

First of all let me begin by saying we eat at Cracker Barrel at least once a week. Usually we eat two times a week. We recently had 8 people to eat with us. The service at your Trussville, AL location was horrible. My husband never got his food. when it did come it was wrong. To get her attention I had to go hunt her down. Then she looked mad. You just should know that they are losing business here. Horrible staff. The cashier said was everything Okay? I said, well, No. That was it.. she didnt care. I asked for a manager who never showed. I do not have all day to wait on one. Just really disappointing to me.

On Jan. 23, 2011 my friend and I were visiting North Myrtle Beach, SC. We went to Cracker Barrel #194. After waiting 20 minutes to be waited on we order our breakfast. My friend unwraps her silverware...DIRTY. Our meal came...after eating I felt something in my mouth...I put my fingers in my mouth and started pulling out a long string. After waving down the manager he told me it was egg. Egg would have broken....this was a string. He quickly pick it up and offer me something else. I was thru and so was my friend. He said he would adjust the bill...but he took my friend's breakfast off not mine...hers was cheaper. The waitress fixed it not him.her name was Chrissy. When leaving he made sure he didn't see us, he was messing with the checker table. I know things happen but as a manager he had to have known it was a string and not a egg. He was not concerned at all. So when ordering at Cracker Barrel remember it may come with 1- a long wait. 2- dirty silverware 3- a meal with strings attached.. No, we will not eat Cracker Barrel again.

My review is specifically for a manager. MARY HAGUE-ROGUES at the Danials Parkway Cracker Barrel in Fort Myers Florida. I received a call today from my Credit Union who had received a call from MARY who had found my wallet that was lost over 7 months ago. Evidently the wallet was placed in the safe and forgotten! Mary went the extra mile (THIS IS WHAT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE LOOKS LIKE) to get the wallet back to me. She had to call the credit union who had to call me because there was no phone number only an address! It was an address in Fort Myers but I only have a cell phone so if someone did try before they could not find a listing and quit trying. We did go back in the store but evidently the wallet had been put in the safe and forgotten. I replaced everything in the wallet not knowing what happenened to it. My sincere thanks to MARY-HAGUE-ROGUES. I hope you know what an excellent employee you have and I hope you treat her well.

Over the years I have occasionally stopped at Cracker Barrel in Hampton, Virginia. So was the case last night when I wanted someone else to fix my dinner after a busy day. I ordered the chicken fried chicken dinner. My waitress was indifferent, asking whether I wanted "white" or "brown" gravy on the mashed potatoes. When I said I thought it would be the same gravy as was on the chicken, she took the order. It came with "white" chicken-flavored gravy on the chicken and "brown" beef-type gravy on the potatoes. The chicken itself was a stiff and hard as a board, and nearly cold. The cornbread was similarly cold. But the waitress disappeared and I ate dinner (perhaps I should not). Then I waited for 5 minutes after another waitress went to find the check. But the best of all was to stand for 10 minute while a little girl and her mother tried to exchange a stuffed animal and were told, finally, that they absolutely could not because it was against store policy and contract with the vendor. I don't know what happened to the Hampton restaurant, where food was once pretty good and employees were helpful and friendly. This place is crossed off my list of possible pleasant restaurants with fair to good food for the prices. But the entire Hampton Roads area is a restaurant wasteland. It's shocking to know that business people here look at customers as merely open wallets. I'll pick up a frozen entree and eat at home more often.

hello my name is Rhonda Brook and I have been going to your rest. in kingman arizona. love the food. some of the waitresses look really tired. on more than one occasion i have been ignored by your waitstaff. but than i got placed in a section with a lil cute happy beautiful waitress named Maggie. she is so happy and a very good waitress to have working for you. she always has a smile, cute as a button and never lets my tea or coffee run dry ever. and is one of the most caring pleasant sweet waitresses I have ever seen! she deserves all your stars.. as long as she stays there, I will come in , if she leaves I will never go back.Such a pretty happy polite girl. thank you Rhonda brook roni.brook@yahoo.com or 360-981-4990. thank you .

The ladies' room at the Cracker Barrel off SR 54 and Old Pasco Road in Wesley Chapel, Florida needs a scrub-brush and bleach in a major cleaning effort. It's disgusting, corners all encrusted with built-up dirt ... and it has been like that since I last told the manager months ago. It's too bad now for a mop and cleaning solution. It's actually disgusting. The crud isn't going to come off corners and moldings with a mop or sponge. I mentioned it yesterday, and it's probably the same today. Give cleaning people a brush to scrub it ! The roast beef was all greasy from fried onions and mushrooms I didn't even want, and meat was all dried out. Not the same any more, sadly.

I've always loved Cracker Barrel. Recently while in the new one in Maine, I witnessed, whom I believe to be a Manager,(short with glasses), yelling and pointing at workers, calling them names and degrading them. I've never witnessed anything like this before at any other Cracker barrel I've encountered. This manager was not asking employees to do anything specific, but was TELLING them to "move faster", "Listen to me when I'm talking to you", "you can't do anything right and pointing at them, and even called someone a name I can't put online. Managers are suppose to encourage their employees and inspire the Best in them. So, as long as the woman is there, I will no longer be seen in another Cracker Barrel. I'm sure if you call and ask any employee that works there, you would know who I'm talking about, seeing that I spoke of this to friends of mine and they also encountered the same Display of demeanor to the employees on the floor.

I worked for cracker barrel and I gotta say that it is one of the most unorganized, unfair, and lowest paid resturaunts I have ever worked for! The pay is crap. You are paid like you just started cooking ever and expected to cook like a pro!Why dosent the manager of the store work for those wages he does less work??Experience means nothing. The management staff abuse the workers with constant threats. (example-I dont smoke BTW)The rule of no smoking should not only apply to lower staff but to management also!! The managers tell all staff they cant smoke with the threat of being fired, but run out when they need one!Which is against the law and policy!! That includes leaving the store without managment in building at all!! Who can customers complain to then when problems arrise? No wonder they are turning into Mc Donalds. What is with seat to eat?? We dont come to be fed like cattle. How can you enjoy your meal with the servers looking at you like hurry up or you get food left over from the day before!! If I want my food fast I will go to a fastfood resturant where I can get cheaper food that has been waiting to be sold and dont have to leave a tip. They are supposed to temp food on line but they trust the cooks to do that and they just write whatever on temp chart.Never even checking the temperatures. Can you say POISON!!That is a job for management!!To gaurentee it is correct!!But they just walk around harassing empolyees and expecting to not work at all.So to all those with bad experiences at CB it is just the way it is! I have plenty resturant exp. and dominate their kitchen.I made the choice to leave so I am not posting out of anger,or cause I was fired. This is for the ones who have been mistreated and abused by them. Truth needs to be told so others are well informed how things work. And one day someone will use this as proof to how they were treated. Sorry Uncle Hershel for corporate assholes destroying your family resturant!! Oh, and you will never generate as much income as Mc D's so stop trying!! So the next time you have bad service or food .Think about what I am telling you.

I go to Cracker Barrel all the time to eat. We eat there about 1 x week. The food is good and I like to shop in the gift shop. I have been handing my Front Porch card to the people at the checkout everytime. Today, I went there and they told me that I had no points and they don't take the card any more. I was totally shocked. I think that is very poor business...not a e-mail...not a mention of this at all. So, here I have been giving my card to them and not getting any points...but thinking that I was...that is not right. I should have been notified. Very poor business. The food is good, but it left me with a bad taste.

I am a former cracker barrel employee at the store in henderson kentucky i was employed for about 3 months i was a dishwasher/busser after i reached my par 1 status i was supposed to be able to do my cross training into the back-up cook position which i was denied cause a former employee who was hired a month and a half after me wanted that position i also got my hours cut because of this employee because his fateher was a grill cook there. I was a good employee i also came in on my days off if they needed me to i stayed late if they asked me to everytime then christmas eve i worked 9-3 i asked my manager if i could leave at three cause i had a family event planned he said yes i clocked in that day a half hour early and cloked out at 2:56 exactly after i clocked out my manager became angry so i said i would clock back in he said not to worry about it then sunday morning i was fired because of it i will never work at a cracker barrel again or eat there ever again but my problem now is i havent been payed for the days i worked up to christmas eve i should still have 2 days that i should be payed for but havent gotten it. Cracker Barrel old country store is a horrible place to work for they lie to there employees and use them.

12-27-2010 First time I've ever given a bad review. We've been to many Cracker Barrel restaurants in numerous South Eastern states and always had Average to Excellent service and the food was wonderful. Today we ate at your establishment at #313 Murrells Inlet SC Server #1276753 Barbara S., Table #215/3. Arrived at 10:35 (they list 10:56 as time on invoice). Three different parties together, 3 separate checks. Our waitress, although very nice, had a hard time understanding us yes we are native southerners with no other accents (and we had to repeat orders over to her to be sure she got it right. We got our meal, 1 Grandpa's, 1 Uncle Hershalls in a reasonable amount of time. Waited a few minutes then went ahead and started before it got cold. The rest arrived about 10 minutes later except for one...it obviously had not been ready or not given to the cook at the same time. Several of the orders were wrong. Received biscuits, no gravy for some, grits for some, watery undercooked grits (looked like soup) for another, eggs not what ordered. Waitress nice about refilling coffee, water, etc. But...no checks. Waited almost 15 minutes, then went to girl that seated us and told her. Took 2 managers to try to straighten out the checks as wrong food listed for wrong orders. One of the managers, the short one was downright rude. We did not get to check out until noon. Would have understood if place was crowded but it was not half occupancy. I think with the mix-up on orders and some orders uneatable, we have been given a discount not a hassle from the managers.

12-27-2010 family members met at the Flint, Michigan Cracker Barrel to have breakfast. There were 16 members in this party. This event took place at 8:30 A.M. It took 25 minutes for them to seat us. I was totally put out since there were hardly any people in the resturant. The hostess was very rude and had to explain why we could not be accomodated-ask to see the manager and she never appeared, it was as if that many people was putting them out. When we were finally seated the service was beyond lousy. The food was cold and the attitude was extremely poor. Everyone was given seperate bills for there service because this was easier for the one server we had as a group. This experience has left a bad taste toward Cracker Barrel. Your slogans do not fit your great hospitality you try to portray

I have been eating at CB up and down I95 on the east coast for years. Finally got one close to home located at exit 5 of the NJ turnpike. We visit at least 2-3 times per week and sometimes receive nice service but, mostly it is fair. My complaint is that for 3 weeks now, they have been out of lima beans and the chicken and rice specials on SAT. Do they not know how to calculate the amount they will need?? This is anywhere from 4:30 to 6pm. How can you be completely out that many times in a month? Don't they learn from past experiences? All you get from the manager is ....we are so sorry. If you are and know your JOB don't let it keep repeating. Please check into #411. This store is notorious for being out of specials and soups, etc and then tell you this, after you and the family have been waiting 20 min or more for the meal. This then leaves one watching everyone else eat while waiting for their meal.

Since the online complaint form hasn't worked for 2 days, and no one acknowledged my e-mail to guest relation. I will post my complaint here. Lancaster, PA location 12/5/2010 and 12/12/2010 Food ordered: Country Ham - 12/5/2010 Holiday Pork Special - 12/5/2010 2 -Sunday Chicken Specials - 12/12/2010 Grilled Chicken Salad - 12/12/2010 The first date it was my daughter and I. Our meal was awful. She had a pork dinner and I had the country ham. Both looked as though they forgot to put half of the food on the plate. My meat tasted just awful. I got a very fatty, small piece of ham. about 2 tablespoons of potatoes, and fried okra. My daughter's meat was also very fatty. After a half hour wait and almost the same to check out, it was a very disappointing, and wasted afternoon. The place was packed to capacity and you couldn't even hear each other talk over the noise. Such an unpleasant experience! Though I swore I would never go back, today (12/12), my daughter's husband wanted to take us there. He had never been and really wanted to try it. Well let me tell you, once again BIG mistake. This time we all got sick after we got home. My daughter and I had the Sunday chicken special, and her husband had the grilled chicken salad. I am pretty sure the chicken just was not good. We were all sick throughout the night and couldn't even think about food until earlier this evening. We are taking it very easy and only eating soup. Every time I think about chicken I get sick to my stomach. Now I really am NEVER going to go back to the Cracker Barrel again. The food we took home I threw out so no one would be sick again. This is one place that I will never recommend to anyone. I couldn't find a manager last week, and this week luckily no one got sick until we were home. Today's meal completely ruined our plans for the rest of Sunday. The staff both times were really good, but were really stressed over all the tables they had to handle. Our servers both times were males, and both were very nice and good waiters.
