This is the second time I've had the benefit of Concierge remote access support for computer issues. It is truly a huge asset for resolving issues, and Joe #800914 (in Florida) was so competent and knowledgeable in helping me reconfigure my browsers and get rid of unwanted programs that now I take even more pride in my Costco HP 350t desktop computer purchase. Way to go Concierge! I understand that Costco Concierge service is hiring more people and they are hiring capable people. I bought an HP Pavilion laptop 3 years ago, and because the computer support was so good, I invested in a new Pavilion desktop from Costco last month. I am ready to really put it to best use now that Concierge Services has helped me configure it to meet my exact needs with the help of remote access support. They were able to see what my needs where by having us both log in to the same server. What might have taken hours to figure out, took only minutes with such specially trained support staff. On Friday (24 Sep 2010) I tried to return a "Mr Coffee" coffee maker to the warehouse at Sonterra Blvd in San Antonio where I purchased it originally in March 1999. It was in its original box and packaging material along with the instructions booklet, and the original receipt. Charlie the customer service representative asked if there was anything wrong with it, I replied not really my wife decided she does not like it, never uses the thing, and wants to try something else. Charlie said because it was over a year old, he would have to have a supervisor approve the return. Mica came to customer service and explained that he "would not" take it back. He said there was nothing wrong with it, and I had it over a year and that Costco is not a rental agency where if you do not like something that Costco will not take it back. I then replied OK, it does not heat is that acceptable? After an exchange of words, to my embarrassment a small crowd was gathering and also returning items and observing the conversation. Eventually Mica agreed to get a floor manger for a decision. After 15 minutes he returned, no floor manager, but he told Charlie to issue the refund. At that time, I asked again about return policy and the sign that professes satisfaction guarantee. He reiterated the previous contention, Costco cannot accept items over a year that have nothing wrong with them. I surrendered and did not debate the issue any further, but would like to know the official policy about consumer customer satisfaction? The web site shows: "We guarantee your satisfaction on every product we sell with a full refund. The following must be returned within 90 days of purchase for a refund: televisions, projectors, computers, cameras, camcorders, iPOD / MP3 players and cellular phones". If there are exceptions, provisions for slightly used coffee makers please advise, as a portion of members asked me later what the policy was, and they too thought it was not handled well. I have see Mica working in other sections of the Costco store, and do not know how long he has been a manager. I have been shopping at Costco (Sonterra) since it has opened and know many friendly, customer oriented employees there, and this is the very first time experiencing such difficulty with Costco customer service. You are authorized to check my account, I spend thousands of dollars at Costco and for a $29.00 coffee pot would not violate my ethics to defraud, swindle, be dishonest about your products. Your policy is one of the reasons that I do spend a great deal of time and money at Costco all over the USA. This incident has left a sour taste in my mouth and I really need to know exactly what the return policy is, and as a senior citizen hope that I do not have to wait as long as it took Mica to find a absent floor manager. Thank you very much. Just tried to send this e-mail to Costco and the following message was returned: " Error:The page you are trying to access is not available. Please contact the administrator for more details." The grief continues.

I believe the wearehouse menagment needs some profesional classes and how to talk to employees but the Costco itself is wonderful company to work for,

I have hear from a reliable source that if you are a current employee and you would like to advance within the Costco Organization that all one needs to do is contact the Warehouse manager and express you goals and without posting any open positions for others will create an opening and move the individual into that new assignment. I would think a notice would go out for all employees that if anyone is interested we are now opening training positions and have all apply that are interested.

Dear Costco F U. You have sided with a corrupt Police Department in Las Vegas and have not released the video tapes of what happened when the police assasinated a young man in front of your store, you claim they were "lost", only after Metro PD got to the tapes first it seems. You have incompetent workers who put the whole store full of shoppers in the line of a corrupt police department's line of fire when they told shoppers to exit the store because a gentlemen was trying out various items in your store before he bought them. I have already destroyed my Costco card and will never return to your store again, and I hope the family who sues you in civil court shuts your store down in Las Vegas and turns it into a low cost medical clinic for the homeless.Turn over the tapes Costco or you are doomed.

I absolutely love Costco. I buy EVERYTHING from Costco and the return policy is great. My husband and I love shopping at Costco and love looking at new products and furniture at great prices!

A CONCERN REGARDING THE SCOOTERS FOR THE HANDICAP!!!! STORE LOCATION: NEW ROCHELLE N.Y. IN RECENT DAYS I'VE RODE IN THE SCOOTERS FOR THE HANDICAP, TWICE ON CONSECUTIVE VISITS I ENCOUNTERED THE SAME PROBLEM. THE SCOOTERS WERE NOT COMPLETELY CHARGED. BEING A RECENT STROKE VICTIM I HAVE TROUBLE WALKING SO I NEEDED HELP GETTING BACK TO MY CAR LEAVING MY BASKET WITH EVERYTHING I NEEDED IN IT. WHEN I ASKED "MANNY THE SUPERVISOR" WHY THIS HAPPEN TO BE HE REMARKED WE OPEN AT TEN IN THE MORNING WE'RE GETTING NEW ONES , . I ENJOY SHOPPING AT YOUR FACILITY BUT I CAN'T RELY ON THOSE SCOOTERS. I MUST SEEK OTHER ALTERNATIVES. THANK YOU JOSEPH HONE

I hope that retribution falls hard on your Costco Corp. for the part your employees played that caused the murder of Eric Scott by Vegas police at your store there. .

i give costco good ratings on their stores but some roadshows are liars and cheats. Gunter Wilhelm, whom of which i saw in CA is full of s***!!!! they are made in China and they sneak gifts to people. i feel costco is being treated with disrespect and i dont trust the product. the handle fell apart on me. its rusting and pitting on me and this is with out dishwasher use which they claim it will stay the same forever. they say it has an everlasting edge which bull! and their salesman are druggies or something because half the time they look messed u or high or something bad. i dont know. i think that when you talk to a salesman you should be able to understand them and they should take pride in their job. not be grunged down and sometimes get a hint of liquor. the other roadshow is the davids cookies. i understand they are a great product but some salesman are ignorant a**holes! i understand they have to be loud but the males always shout at the girls tryin to be cool and i find it offensive. i have a sister and i wanted to knock the guy out for not leaving her alone after she said she didnt want a sample. all in all costco is a great place!!!! just need to get rid of the fake knives and maybe have davids cookies all females

The food court forgot to issue my chicken bake and so I never notice it until I got home. Then 2 days later i went and state my situation, they said that the policy was to call the same day. The pizza staff took away my receipt. Today I notice that the receipt in San Diego Costco does not include the phone number, great. It was only $3 but that cost them more because I will not go shopping there anymore.

I signed up for costco membership and transferred it over to my husband in april. Since april i have been using his membership card and there was no problem. it's a membership card and it's not like a credit card or anything that the other party has to be responsible for. I went to costco in the sterling area with my 5 year old son, we spent 45 mins there, placed all of our items on the belt and the cashier automatically told me that she cannot ring me up and that member has to be here. What if my husband was walking around? She told me that I cannot have my membership card back since it wasn't mine. My husband has to come back to pick it up. Are you serious? My driver license has the same home ađdress, i have the same last name as my husband. The cashier accused me for stealing his card. Seriously? The manager didn't even offer to ring me up since i'm was already at the register. she just told me that I can have my card back since I was on the phone with my husband. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY TOTALLY LOST MY SALES TODAY AND CONSIDERING IN THE FUTURE. the cashier was a female, african american, curly hair and tall. I'm just trying to described her so if anyone in HQ are reading this, please let her know, she needs to go back to one of your customer service retail 101. As a manager I thought she would be more considerate and try to keep the sale for the company she works for but i guess not.

Their customer service is really really bad. Im starting my own business so I contacted them about clarifying their terms and condition before purchasing a Business Card Membership. I sent 2 emails. Both responses that I got contradicted one another. They did not specifically give me a yes or no response, they hinted at a response. It was the same thing when I called the 1800 number. Is anyone at costco even aware of the terms and conditions??? I had to direct the operator to where the terms could be found. Seriously Costco????

Why do you not refill ink cartridges Canon PIXMA models instead of say $8 or 9 dollars I had to pay for a cheap printer $59.80. In the past I bought and HP printer from Costco and had to return it twice because it did not work so my son bough me the Cannon and I just cant afford those ink cartridges. Sooooooooooooooo get the equipment so we can get our cartridges filled cheaper.

Shanna, my words exactly (about opinions, etc.) I am very happy to report a follow up to my previous post. Today, I took my broken frames back to Optical at the San Diego store. Brandy took great care of me, she ordered new frames, no questions asked. Off the top of my head, I mentioned about another frame problem with my previous glasses and how I'd been at fault there, and she looked it up, saw the frame is still in their system, so ordered me another. No cost to me. I can't say that they are so kind to everyone, but I have worked with the public and have found that, in most situations, if you treat someone with respect and can explain your problem without hysterics (write it down, PRACTICE, you'll be surprised how much better you'll come off), people are willing to help. Believe me, I can be a real pain and I know I've gotten some things taken care of before since they got sick of me calling, etc. (I'm talking about all kinds of places). I just say if you have a valid complaint, yelling and name calling aren't likely to get you anywhere.

I have never had anything but positive experiences with Costco since the first store opened in the San Fernando Valley in California in the mid to late 80's. Personally and commercially (for my catering company) it would be safe to say that I have spent over a half million dollars with Costco in over ten stores in SoCal and have contact with (at least?) 50 of their employees in the past twenty or so years since they first started as Price Club. My experiences have been nothing but positive. The products they carry are always head and shoulders above other products in different stores in value and price. The manager in Kona Hawaii has bent over backwards to make sure his members are 100% satisfied. This site is totally non-productive. Plus libelous. Plus Julie YES... good observation - spelling, grammar and the inability to compose a mere paragraph (IF the person even had a reasonable "gripe") would indicate the level of education by the posters. I'd suggest they "grow up" and go through channels to get customer service. Costco delivers in all regards. My two cents. And remember - opinions are like a....s (a body part) - EVERYONE has one.

1. I can't believe how poor the spelling and grammar is here! 2. One person upset about the store not taking food stamps posting multiple times on the same day doesn't fool anyone into thinking it's more than one person. 3. Most keyboards have cap lock keys that can be disengaged. 4. Our stores are Union, pay well and, while there are some jerks who work for them, most are at least civil. I can only speak to the stores in my area. 5. I'm headed to my store tomorrow, broken glasses in hand. Glad that the frame is covered. I love the frame, but I've now had two pair break. Guess this is why frames that retail for over $100 were only $34.

YES, I VISITED COSTCO AT CHULA VISTA IN BROADWAY AND I HAD AN ACCIDENT THERE AND, MR.ERNESTO {MANAGER} AT THE #781 HE WAS JUST THE RUDE, CRULE GUY EVER I HAD TO GO STGAIGHT TO THE HOSPITAL, HE SAID THAT THERE IS NOTHING HE CAN DO. JUST TO LET YOU KNOW THAT ILL BE TACKING LEGAL ACCTIONS, I JUST WHAT HIM TO PAY FOR MY MEDICAL BILLS WITCH HE DENIED. SORRY YOUR JUST LOST A COSTUMER.

You open a store in a poor area of new york East Harlem and you don't take food stamps.. Maybe we will chase your customers away until you do. What type of marketing is this anyway. You pay min. wage and you don't take food stamps? Who is in charge? Don't want our business? then go to hell

Your store in East Harlem don't take food stamps. Most of your workers are on food stamps because you pay a type wage that most collect welfare to. Maybe you don't want us in your stores. OK LETS NOT GO TO COSTCO
