My husband has worked for costco for a while and he is made to work every weekend. He never gets a weekend day off, while everyone else in the store gets a Saturday or Sunday off. This is unfair to us, as I really would love to make plans on the weekend with my husband and kids to have a family day. (3 Kids) The manager and assistant manager of the department are friends, so my husband gets treated unfairly in many other areas. He wants to complain, but it may make his job worse. Bottom line the place sucks and is unfair!!! Not to mention he has tried to get promoted 6 times and was turned down. Reason is ( because my husband works very hard and does almost all the work in the dept while the managers walk around all day.)

Tje customer service stinked. I have never been so disillusioned and angry at a retail store as Costco. We were charged $670.00 in January, 2011 and have since waited patiently for a copy of the signed receipt since we felt thia was a disputed charge. We were told to pay the $670.00 asap as our credit would be impacted and we would be charged interest on the amount. Neither myself or my wife had bought the items listed. To date, we still don't have a copy of our signature. I have filed a formal complaint and will be tweeting, emailing, facebooking within the next few days if we don't receive some resolution after five months.

Dear Sir/Madam I have purchased eyeglasses at Costco. Both lens have developed what appears to be air bubbles between the prescription glass and the tinting on the glass surface. I do not know how this may have happened only that they were just defected without any apparent cause. There was a day when I opened the dishwasher to put the finished items in their perspective place in the cupboard. At that time I did feel hot air on my face but it was not hot enough to cause burning or for me to draw back. I do expect that if my lenses had been improperly manufactured they would separate when exposed to normal household chores such as looking in the oven, which would, much hotter than was the dishwasher. Please take this matter under advisement to determine if further investigation need be done. I ask that Costco will feel the sameway if the defect is in the manufacturing of the lens. I am willing to send the glesses any where you ask soe evaluation. This is in regards to the Costco Tukwila, Wa. Optical Laboratory. Costco says it is to strive for the best. Why is it that Costo overlooks the best worker and promotes seniority first? It has happened many, many times. Costco hires Ukrainian, and Russian non English speaking personel. You don't fire people who continually make constant error's and further cost Costco money. WHY??? You continually hire manager's and supervisor's from within because of seniority when they lack the ability to actually do the work. I have also noticed smoker's contually taking long, YES LONG BREAKS. This is unfair to NON SMOKER'S. Smoking should be only during scheduled breaks and lunch. NO OTHER TIME. Just add the minutes up per each smoker and calculate your production time lost. COSTCO YOU DISGUSS ME. These employee practices are so unfair. I suggest, work quota's to be met and if not fire them. AND NO SMOKING ON PREMISES. YES NO SMOKING. Break the rules and get fired. Start with Robin, Mike and Art and work your way down. Most all listen to the complainer's WHO CARE. Instead of those who go with the flow and don't give a SHIT.

I am for the most part happy with Costco, altough if we had a Winco closer I would probably drop the Costco membership. My biggest complaint is why the heck would the company put out tastes of items, like a couple weeks ago the bakery dept. was giving out tastes of different flavored bread. The 3 cheese bread was awesome, stopped by since, no cheese bread anywhere. Stopped by this morning, waited in the parking lot for 20 minutes, then again, no cheese bread. I found someone to ask, the answser I got was that corporate had to tell them they could bake it??!! Hello, that flavor was the quickest to go that day, so people obviously liked it, so they don't make anymore?? Not a very smart desicion to make, from the supposedly smart people??

Quality has fallen considerably over the last years. Pharmacy prices are very high compared to others. My wife had a prescription to get filled. Costco cost - 65$ CVS 36 Walgreans cost 61 Target 32 Yeah Costco bend over the customer!!!!

AND THE ONLY REASON THEY GOT A 1 IS BECAUSE THERE IS NO ZERO. I AM A 33 YR OLD DISABLED FATHER OF THREE. MY COSTCO CARD HAS BEEN EXPIRED FOR OVER A YEAR BUT I STILL CONSTANTLY GO TO COSTCO TO BUY PIZZA FROM THE FOOD COURT AND DO MY RECYCLEING. I DO NOT CARRY CASH SO I USUALY GO INSIDE AND PAY FOR MY PIZZA INSIDE BECAUSE THEY DONT TAKE DEBIT CARDS OUTSIDE. NEVER HAD A PROBLEM UNTIL TONITE MY NINE YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AND I WENT TO PICK UP OUR PIZZA WHICH WE CALLED IN. WHEN I GOT INSIDE I WAS AS USUAL PROMTED ABOUT RENEWING MY COSTCO CARD WHEN I DECLINED TO RENEW AT THIS TIME THEY TOLD ME THAT I COULD NOT PAY FOR MY PIZZA INSIDE BECAUSE MY CARD WAS EXPIRED AND THAT I NEEDED TO USE THE ATM INSIDE OF THE STORE AND GO OUTSIDE AND PAY IN CASH. WHEN I GOT UPSET AND EXPLAINED THAT THIS IS ALWAYS HOW I PAY FOR THE PIZZAS WHY WOULD I PAY AN ATM FEE TO WITHDRAW TWENTY BUCKS WHEN ALL I WANT TO DO IS PAY FOR MY PIZZA THAT IS TEN BUCKS. SO THEN THE MANAGER ASKED TO SEE MY CARD WHICH HE REFUSED TO GIVE BACK EVEN THOUGH I PAID FOR IT AND IT IS MY PROPERTY AND NOT ONLY TOLD ME TO LEAVE BUT THEN HE AND SEVERAL OTHER MANAGERS ACTUALLY ESCORTED ME A DISABLED GUY AND HIS NINE YEAR OLD DAUGHT OUT OF THE STORE WHEN I CALLED THE POLICE THEY TOLD ME IT IS A CIVIL MATTER SO THAT HOW IM GONNA PURSUE IT. CIVILY AND LEGALY. I DONT KNOW WHAT GIVES COSTCO THE RIGHT TO TAKE MY PERSONAL PROPERTY FROM ME AND FORCE ME AND MY DAUGHTER TO LEAVE THE STORE AS IF WE WERE COMMON CRIMINALS BUT I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE EMBARRASED HUMILIATED AND HAVE NEVER FELT MORE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST AND VICTIMIZED IN MY LIFE THAN BY COSTCO. ALL OVER A TEN DOLLAR PIZZA GREAT WAY TO PROVIDE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I FELL I AM ENTITLED AT LEAST SOME SORT OF COMPENSATION AS WELL AS A WRITTEN APPOLOGY FROM THE STORE MANAGER TO ME AND MY DAUGHTER I SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO RETURN TO THE STORE FOR MY PERSONAL PROPERTY ONLY FOR I NO LONGER HAVE THE DESIRE TO SHOP AT ANY COSTCO AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS WITH BUISNESS ACCOUNTS ALSO WILL NOT BE RENEWING AFTER HEARING OF WHAT HAPPEND. THAT MANAGER SHOULD NOT BE DEALING WITH PEOPLE HE SHOULD AT BTHE VERY LEAST BE SUSPENDED IF NOT FIRED. SHAME ON COSTCO FOR TREATING DISABLED PEOPLE AND CHILDREN LIKE THAT. I WONDER IF THE LOCAL NEWS WOULD BE INTERESTED IN THAT IM SURE SOME OF YOUR INVESTORS WOULD LOVE TO HEAR HOW COSTCO REALLY TREATS PEOPLE.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. After working for 89 days,I was not paid on time. (the payroll did not make it into my Direct deposit account for 3 days) When i called my supervisor (Mr.Gomez) he told me to call payroll, payroll told me to call the bank, the bank told me to call Costco's payroll, (stay with me now) payroll told me to call my supervisor, when i called Mr.Gomez and started to explain,Mr.Gomez interrupted me,and informed me that i no longer was working at Costco Almaden.

I Work in the Produce department at the Carmel Mountain Store, Ca. in 2009. I enjoyed my job and it was very interesting. I began to have some what of a following with our customers /clients. They trusted me. One day I had several customers complain that the Green Grapes were bitter not pleasant. I gathered up a a few and walked over to the Culling table to test out a few -one or two.I would go on and write a notice for the morning shift to take action. To my surprise I was ask to meet with the store manager and he accused me of 'Grazing'. I told him that customers where declining to buy them because they are not tasting good. He didn't see the need to 'taste-test them to be sure. I was released for eating a Grape. I had no previous writes ups or any discipline action towards me other than that. When I buy food I look at the following FACTORS: Color-Cost-Freshness-and Taste. I trust the produce assistant because I find him to be an expert. I'm 57 years old, family man,father of twin boys married 30 years. I did my job exceptionally well. This was unfair.

The American Express card offered thru all Costco stores is a BUSINESS credit card and thus not subject to the Federal Credit Card Act of 2009. The BUSINESS card is exempt. Costco should so inform their customers of this since such an arrangement creates less transparency and subjects card holders to possible increases in interest rates as well as unilateral changes in terms and conditons . I wrote to Costco about this issue and the response was "....contact American Express..."

COSTCO has some excellent products, is convenient, has terrific samples (which then cause me to buy) and is very high on our list of a quality source for groceries and home and garden items. This is what we absolutely hate about Costco: they prefer to destroy and trash things rather than donate them. My husband has seen them take razor blades. box cutters and other tools to rip, cut and damage furniture, clothes and other goods then use a forklift to further damage it and finally drop it into their dumpster. We understand if they dont want people rummaging and scrounging in their dumpsters due to possible liability if someone was to hurt themself but why take obsolete, slightly damaged or unwanted goods and ruin them beyond usefulness? Or food and crush it? Why cant they donate to any one of the local charities and be more socially and environmentally responsible? It really is sickening what they are doing here.

BOOK SALE BIAS: In Costco stores, the most prominently displayed new nonfiction books lean heavily (80% or more) toward extreme right-wing authors and viewpoints. I have seen one or two "moderate" selections, but NO progressive authors or topics. I called the Costco customer center, but was told the book selections are "market-driven," not a sign of political bias. Since most Americans, by all polling measures, are "middle-of-the-road," the company's claim insults my intelligence. And in the latest Costco member magazine, the most prominently featured book is Ann Coulter's "Demonic: How the Liberal Mob is Endangering America." I urge moderate and progressive Costco customers to demand a more broad-based nonfiction book selection in company's stores and publications.

I have tried contacting costco today re. their web page hosting ON THEIR BROCHURE when you call the # 1-866-496-1109 a recording comes on with a woman who can barely speak english.When you try to email the add. on their brochure www.dotcanada.com/costco it won't send.So I gave my business to a company who answered the phone with a human who you can understand. Hello to whom it may concern! Ive recently visited your store on 71st and Cicero I've been there many times and never been treated like I was this time! I recently had a new born and went shopping for pampers and other baby products. On my way out the door attendant check the items I bought and matched it with my receipt. My baby was in stroller that I pushed and I was carrying my diaper bag! Something that u obviously need when u have a new born! Well the door attendant had the nerve to tell me to open up my DIAPER BAG that she needed to see what was INSIDE. When there was other people with backpacks and hand bag walking right past her! I'm MEXICAN and I think I was RATIALLY PROFILED! Ive never been so insulted!!!! I've been to Costco hundreds of times and never been so humiliated! The door attendant said it was a policy to search bags or diaper bags! I called another costco to confirm this and it turns out there is no such policy!!!! I never expected this from Costco! A week later I went to another Costco with my stroller and my diaperbag to see for my self if I was being RATIALLY profiled this time i was not asked to open up my diaperbag!! I am complaining as a Senior Citizen about the moving of the benches away from the Costco SSF PHarmacy. The wait is not a problem but not being able to sit down is a very big issue with many older people & people who are ill going to pick up a RX. Please put back what you took away. The Store Manager said it was because the benches were in front of product that wasn't selling. Do you want customers in the Rx or to sell a few cartons that wouldn't sell in the first place???? You need the be consideratee of age & condition in the Rx area . There is not a Pharmacy around that doesn't have sitting for the customers.

I joined Ameriprise a couple of years ago. I recently accidently backed into my wall due to wearing a cast on my left arm. Called Ameriprise and they said that I could not take my car in to be repaired that they had to send out an appraiser. The next day the appraiser came and I was told that my car was not going to be able to go into the shop for another 7 days!. I could not believe this. I told the rep that I had never heard of such a thing. Sure enough the following Monday I was told to take it in. Then when the repair shop that Costco recommended returned the car on my NEW car they had put old parts. I asked the repair guy if it was used and he said "no." Well, when everyone else noticed the lousy work then I reread my papers and sure enough -- used parts. I called Ameriprise and they ordered new parts. I called Headquarters to speak to the person in charge of insurance -- left a couple of messages -- 2 weeks later a return call which I wasn't home -- called again and to this day she has not returned my call -- Ms. Castaneda. I AM NOT IMPRESSED WITH HEADQUARTERS NOR AMERIPRISE.

Called corporate office to leave a message, not possible. So upset with the new plastic covering for the baked chicken. NO IDEA WHY THEY changed packaging! It sucks! But it's dangerous!!! You can't open it without suffering for 10 minutes!!!!Why doesn't the corporate office have an answering machine on?!?!?!!

We are very disappointed in the lack of professionalism and cortesy we receive when we encounter a problem at Costco. We went to buy tires at Costco (A coupon for Michelin Tires arrived the day before!!!!!) We went to the Edison store...sorry none in stock, but Bridgewater store has 12 in stock. We raced to the Bridgewater store.....and were told the same thing! 23 minutes later! C'mon! We don't have a rare vintage car or a Ferrari. It's a 4 year old VW!

I dont like the manager at Livonia MI store,he was very rud and mean to me,i will call Costco Corporate office to let them know of what happen on 5-14-11
