DON'T Ever write a check for a purchase at Chico's! Takes three weeks to get your $$$ back which is totally ridiculous, and makes Chico's look cheap because most of your customers are constant buyers! I did not have my debit card that day so I wrote a check, she could not put it back on my debit card that went into my account in the first place! A refund check had to come from corp office?? By pony express? The check had cleared my account weeks before.....with today's options for checks these days it is just a ridiculous policy! I will not be going as much anymore will go back to Coldwater Creek!
I am retired, buy lots of clothes at Chicos which I like. I notice many of your customers are older. Today I shopped in the Columbia Mo. store along with my contemporary, Mary Lou. Our sales person took our names for the fitting rooms. Mary Lou, who has dark colored hair, was referred to as "Mary Lou". I have gray hair and I was "Miss Carol". Let me tell you. . .no one likes to be treated in particular ways just because of their age or appearance. It is disrespectful. I know the sales person thought she was just being nice, but it is ageist. In the medical field it is called Elderspeak. I suggest that your company have employee training to treat everyone with equal respect.
I have been searching high and low for the now discontinued Chicos Cotton Blend Camisole Tank. It has always been a favorite for me being so short waisted. Any clues where I might look. I have checked on E-bay and did find one, which I purchased. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Imprsesvie brain power at work! Great answer!
Who picked out your fall clothes. They are terrible , i call them clown patterns.
I frequently shop at Chicos in Maryland, but favor the Silver Spring,MD store. The store is managed by Zaida who is very personable and pleasant. I have never had a bad sales experience with any of the sales associates. All of the sales associates consistenly go out of their way to help me whenever I shop. Michelle is the sales associate that frequently assists me during my shopping ventures. Recently she went out of her way to locate a top I ordered to go with pants I recently purchased. I received an e-mail from customer service that this item was no longer available and was no longer in stock or with the manufacturer. In a matter of 15 mintues, Michelle was able to locate this top at another Chico's in MD. It is on its way to me by mail. I am ever so grateful!! She went above and beyond!! It's a wonderful day each time I shop at Chico's in Silver Spring, MD!!!
I am disappointed in the fact they put our certain styles in some stores and not in others, for instance I really liked the snake skin corduroys buy they didn't have my size.I ask sales clerk to look in others stores, she told me not all stores got them, not only that but they are corduroys and its just September and none are available?????? Not very business minded on Chico's part....didn't even have enough to go thru season!!!!!! Sales clerk told me there were no more available ......VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!
I can't say enough good things about my recent shopping trip to your store in the Ross Park Mall in PA. Rose went out of her way to help me find the outfits I needed for an upcoming funeral and wedding. It was so nice to know that everything matched and was cordinated and fit when I left the store. Thank you to Rose! I am looking forward to my next visit to the store now. Brenda
I went to the Chicos at Stonecrest in Charlotte, NC. The moment that I entered the store I was met with a very loud greeting from a very tall lady. After responding in a way which was pleasant, I preceded to look at the various merchandise, especially the sales items. I began on one side of the store and was making my way down the aisle of the opposite side of the store. About midway on the opposite side of the store, with my back turned looking at more sales items, a woman behind me and behind the counter, she never moved, yelled very loudly, "May I help you?" Mind you, I have not heard the sales persons greet "any other" person with the loud voice and as many times as myself. When I responded to the second lady that someone had already asked me if I needed help, she seemed to be offended and said I was just trying to help. I am African American. I was the only African American in the store. Their may I help you with the loud, strong voices really meant, "Get Out".
The sales staff at the Bridgewater, NJ store is unhelpful and rude. It trickles down from the top....store manager has a very unpleasant demeanor....
The Chico's store in Southlake, TX at the Town Square has the rudest management I have ever seen in a store! I have worked retail before for several years and never would I treat a customer the way they do! I don't shop in that store but my Mom does. I usually sit in one of the chairs while my Mom does her shopping so I see how they treat my Mom and other customers. I emailed Chico's about a few incidents I have witnessed and all they said was they would send my email to someone else! SURE!!! Of course I can't bring it up to a Manager in the store because they are the ones treating their loyal customers like complete crap!
No quality. Cheap fabrics. Oversized, baggy styles. The ORIGINAL Chicos was great. All cotton, stylish, well fitting clothes. third ave store,NYC VERY CLUTTERED. MARSHA IS AN EXCELLENT SALESPERSON. She makes it fun to shop there.
Hello! bedefgg interesting bedefgg site! I'm really like it! Very, very bedefgg good!
My head is reeling from reading the negative reviews. I just arrived home from my 2nd trip (in 10 days) to Chico's, Premium Outlet (south) Henderson, NV. Apologize for not remembering the sales clerk's name, who was wonderful. Did I miss something on my shopping trips? Was the merchandise inferior compared with my purchases over the past 6 years? Maybe my eyes are changing or my touch is not as sharp (feeling the materials), again, what did I miss? I did buy 4 outfits in person which might play into this scenario. Very surprised at the online experiences, really I should say shocked! Getting into my car and heading to one of my favorites is exciting, always purchasing their merchandise in person. I place nourishment first, Trader Joe's, interior decorating second, Home Goods, and fashion third, Chico's. Just my 2cents, "so far so good" with my 3 favorites!
I was in store 00374, Peabody. Massachusetts yesterday, August 25, and had a wonderful experience with the manager, Jean. She was pleasant, very helpful and went out of her way to assist me. I felt I had to write you and tell you how outstanding she was . Enid Gold 30 Glendale Road Marblehead, Ma. 01945
Not only am I disappointed in the quality, styles and inconsistent sizing apparent in Chico's fashions in the past few years, but I am totally disgusted with the way they now choose to "reward" the best, most loyal passport customers by giving them less valuable coupons than non-passport members. In your late August catalog I received a coupon for 50% off of highest item if I spend $125 while my friend, who rarely shops at Chico's, received a coupon for 50% off of highest item when you spend $100. Even more insulting is the fact that anyone can go to Chico's online at this point in time and copy a code to receive 50% off highest priced item if they spend $100. I have been a Chico's customer almost since they opened for business, spent thousands of dollars and traveled 40 miles to get to the nearest store; I couldn't wait to receive the new catalog! I have a store within a few miles of my home now, but my visits there are becoming few and far between and I barely find even one item that I love in the monthly catalogs. The sales associates are caring, wonderful people, but the clothing is nothing like it used to be. The clothing that I have purchased from Chico's lately often rips if I wear statement jewelry, falls apart in the wash or just does not wear well because the material or the way the item is put together is inferior, yet the prices charged just keep going up. I have purchased most of my clothing from Chico's, but I am sorry to say that I will be looking elsewhere because Chico's no longer satisfies my needs.
Don't know about anyone else, but I'd be going around naked were it not for Chico's. I'm so glad they introduced a size 4. I have some sense of the company's offerings 5 years ago, and I would say there are some items that seem to me to be a bit less in terms of quality, but on the other hand - the prices are great, and there are many deals to be had. I think the offerings are stylish, and they fit me, and I'm glad to have them as my main go-to wardrobe source. I do most of my buying online (they don't carry the size 4 in the stores) but I go into the stores to check the colors and fabrics before I buy (which helps significantly in cutting down on returns!) Sorry there are disappointed customers (and former customers) out there. pat in California
Clothes are typically a great fit and style. However, online shopping at both Chico's and Soma is a completely disaster. In July, I placed an order at Soma for several items (8) - nothing online indicated any backorder, etc. About 4 hours later, I started getting emails - more than 1/2 of my order was backordered with no expected shipping date!!!! I do a tremendous amount of online shopping and this is rare. Most companies have their inventory and ordering system linked! Very frustrating. It took 4 weeks to get all the items. Customer service was terrible during that process. I called to cancel the last 2 items that were still showing backorder. The customer service rep told me she couldn't cancel as the items had already been pulled for shipping and I should be receiving them very soon. Total lie. Those items weren't shipped for 5 more business days. I received them 10 days after my phone call! For both Chico's and Soma, shipping confirmation emails are very misleading. Usually the items don't arrive at the shipping company for several business days after the email saying that they have shipped! While I like the quality of clothes, I absolutely can't stand ordering from Chico's or Soma. They need to greatly increase the quality of their online systems/processes and their customer service.
What has happened to Chicos? I am writing this as I have just received your new catalog, and can't find a thing in there I would want to buy. I am so disappointed in the quality of merchandise and the lack of selection. I am a professional woman and for years purchased dress slacks, jackets, etc. to wear for work at Chicos. Like other posters, I have spent thousands at Chicos. Through the summer months there are no dress slacks, when I commented on this the (farily new) salesperson said that my office must really have a "strict dress code" if I couldn't wear rolled up khaki cargo pants to work. I am looking for a return to quality (even much of the black label is poor quality for very high prices) and a better selection of professional looking clothes. I can still find tanks for under jackets, some sweater sets and casual slacks/shorts,and jewelry but the selection of blouses and jackets all look the same and seem to presume that no one does anything except cruise and lunch with the ladies. Most women still work. Please give us a year-round selection we can work in. I love the fit of your clothes..just need a return to quality and something I can wear to work. The staff at the Wichita Ks store continue to be great..I've known many for years and they are always beyond professional and helpful Sadly however, I've returned to Talbots, Anne Taylor to find my work wardrobe.
Is it possible that you are finally making the no iron shirts in a 4 in other colors beside black and white?? Love these shirts and you tend not to make some of your best shirts in larger sizes!!
