Your Reservation Confirmation Number: 373585271 Best Western Gold Leaf Dewey Beach Guests: 2 Rate: AAA Rate Room Details: 1 King Bed, Non-Smoking, Water View, Whirlpool, French Balcony, Microwave And Refrigerator, High-Speed Internet Access, Continental Breakfast There was no water view from our room. Basically you can barely see the bay if you lean way out over the "french balcony" which is also not a balcony at all - it is french doors with a metal railing no balcony. The description of the room was completely misleading, and amounts to false advertising in that there was no balcony and no water view. We paid more for this room due to those advertised features. I will gladly forward pictures from our room if requested. The staff was superb, the room was clean, the breakfast could use some help like whole wheat toast or bagels. All staff members were friendly & helpful - the owner of this property needs to reconsider the room descriptions, so that consumers get what they pay for. We spent a good deal of our vacation looking for a better place to stay next year - with a real balcony and an actual water view.
Dear sir or madam, This is an official complain about my hotel reservation at best western hotel Cavalletto E doge In Venice, San Marco, Italy. First I stayed at room 1104. The house keeping location is poor. Second, the room is very tiny. Third , no hot drinking water or cold water supplies in the room, no pot and no cup, no coffee machine. Fourth, no blanket provided. When I try to request the blanket, it was 2am. No one pick up the phone at reception. Fifth, No room maintainable, especially the wall condition. Photos would be provide if you requested. Sixth, there is limited wifi at lobby only. This is not qualified as what they claim in th ad in Expedia. Seventh, the water flowing ound in the pipe can be listened clearly inside the room. My mum would not sleep since the poor condition and the sound. Eighth and the most important one, security issue, when we checked in, my mum ask when we go out, do we drop our key to the front desk. They said it is advisable for you to do that. Me and my mother entered the hotel separately. She remember wrongly, she got the key for 1402 and she did successfully get it since they dun ask for verification. Once my mum went to 4 th floor, she know that she got a wrong one and return immediately. I don't think this is hotel for travelers. I have made the same complain to the hotel manager - Alberto Cavalleto and took the pictures of the interior room wall condition. They said nice the money I paid is to Expedia, otherwise they would send me refund or send the money thru internally. But actually nothing happen. NEVER BOOK THRU EXPEDIA. HORRIBLE

Best Western Milton Inn in Blairsville, GA. My husband and I have stayed there on numerous occassions over the past couple of years. We stay in the "cheaper" rooms with the room entrance outside, where contractors, construction workers and truck drivers stay. The room, which we end up with the very same room every time - Room 113 - is okay. It's an older room. Well, during our stay Sept 11 thru 14, I noticed a couple of bites around my ankle and one on my stomach. I didn't think much about it until my husband and I got home and I found several more and my husband had about a half a dozen bites on his legs. After looking on the internet, I realized we had been bitten my BED BUGS. I called the manager regarding the bed bugs and he said that no one else has complained about bug bites or bugs. He was pretty arrogant about the entire situation. Then to top all things. . . on Thursday morning we ate breakfast at the hotel. My husband got a hold of a BAD boiled egg. It didn't smell bad or look bad, but when I touched my tonge to the white of the egg I got a zing and that was all it took. Of course my husband told the manager and he threw the rest of the hard boiled eggs away, but the damage was already done for my husband, who had gotten food poisoning from the hard boiled egg. We will NEVER stay at this hotel again.
To whom it may concern, We have a Best Western Regency Inn in Marshalltown Iowa that does not allow thier desk receptionists to have any breaks during an 8 hour period. I believe that is against Iowa laws and is totally wrong. They have signs they can put up with the phone number to reach the receptionist if needed. They should be allowed at least two 10 minute breaks during an 8 hour period. I will never stay at this hotel if this is the way they treat thier employees. And I will do further research on this if the matter is not resolved. I will contact the BBB if needed. I know that you have very nice hotels and don't want your reputation tarnished. Please look into this matter. My email is bsease2010@yahoo.com Please let me know if this has been looked into or I will take further action. Thank you very much, Bradley Sease
It was my worst hotel experience ever.. Battle Creek MI. NICK PATEL was management on duty. My wife and I came here for our wedding anniversary, she wanted to see the local zoo.. The place was not as clean as was reviewed, in fact I found pubic hair in hot tub so we had to clean it good before using. In the morning when we were checking out, and the manager Nick told us he is charging us 150.00 for smoking in the room which we did not. He threaten to call cops, and I asked him to because I want cop to smell the room that didn't smell like smoke. The officer said he didn't smell anything but there is nothing he could do, it was between the hotel an I. So I told Nick I would like to speak to owner and he said it has him and there was no one higher to talk to. NICK PATEL was extremely unprofessional in the situation and made up fake charges, but Nick did say if I wanted to drive back 4 hours to fight it in court I could.. I then called corporate and they said since I signed it means I agree.. PLEASE HEAR MY WARNING.. Do not trust this place.... BEST WESTERN BATTLE CREEK MI is a scam.. Made it a terrible anniversary
The Best Western in Lansing is under Federal investigation for cheating it's minimum wage employees out of overtime, lunch hour, etc. They have been ordered to pay $180,000.00 to all employees. This was not an accident it was intentional. The owner is an abusive person who thinks he is still in China. Employees (former) are coming forward with charges of sexual harrassment, age discrimination, racial, and whatever else the man can think of doing. Why would Best Western want to be associated with that kind of operation unless they want the fees.
Upon arrival at the Best Western in Reedsport, Oregon the GM was extremely rude. The GM was rude to the people checking in front of me and myself. I requested a receipt..she (GM)stated no receipt will be given due to my pre-payment. My business requires proof of hotel receipt which will be then reimbursed back to me. I attempted to make a complaint on the Best Western website which they charge 25 dollars for the complaint. I have been staying in hotels for 20 plus years and highly recommend that you all stay at other hotels.
I was very applaud on the room conditions from our Best Westerns I selected from 8/31/12 to 9/3/12. On the Website in El Cajon they stated that the room was remodeled and look like this link below. We the room was out right terrible and if it wasn't for the great weather in San Diego and we only spending limited time in the room. Which was by choice I wanted to go nuts. Upon entering the room I notice the very dirty carpet and we kept socks/sandles on at all times. I went to take a shower and the shower was not clean and had long hairs in the shower. The bed was the worst. I went to lay down and immediately the blankets smelled like feet and dog. I had to take the blankets off the bed and sleep with clothes on and a sheet. I complain the next morning and the washed the blsankets. The coffe maker was totally nasty and it took me 3-4 times to get the coffee maker clean. After all of this they only offered $20 refund for 3 days of staying in filth, even after I ask to change rooms and was denied. I will also add the front desk reply to my survey. I spent 5 hours driving during the night to try to enjoy my vacation and was not happy at all with the room conditions and not being able to change to a cleaner room. I would expect more from a Bestwestern hotel and would hope my next stay would be better. But honestly I would have to really consider if I would use Bestwestern again for my next stay. $20 dolloars was a slap in my face and basically was saying thank you and we don't care, we got your money. As I stated here's the link and front dest reply to my survey. Please I would like someone from Bestwestern corporation to contact me. Dear Kirk, Thank you for completing the survey regarding your recent stay at our property! On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations. Your satisfaction is important to us and we will be using the feedback you gave us to implement improvements to ensure we offer a better experience for guests in the future. I was the one working the desk upon your check-out, when we awarded you a $20 credit for your troubles. I did investigate the housekeeper that was assigned to your room and scolded her for the cleanliness issues that you had made us aware of. I was unaware of the carpet being dirty. I am confident that our maintenance has since cleaned the carpet in your room, but will definitely check this morning just in case. Without you bringing these issues to our attention, we would have no opportunity to remedy them, so I do greatly appreciate you doing so. I hope that you will consider staying with us again so that we can have another chance to provide you with a superior experience! If I can provide any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me directly at 6194407378. I have called the Best Western Hotel numerous time in order to get my dentures, I had left in the room. I have left numerous messages and have gotten no reply or no help from them. I live on a fixed income and really can't afford to replace the dentures. It is a damn shame to see a place that don't really give a shit.
September 3, 2012 To Whom It May Concern: I am writing this letter to let you know about a very negative experience I had at one of your Best Western Hotels recently. From 8/17/12 to 8/22/12 my husband and I stayed at the Best Western Island Palms Hotel on Shelter Island in San Diego, CA. The trip was booked on Travelocity. It was our first vacation in about 5 years so we were really looking forward to it. On the second afternoon of our stay there, we returned home from the beach very sweaty and full of sand and needing to shower. Problem was there was no power in our room or in the rooms of several other guests. We notified the front desk clerks who appeared very nonchalant about our dilemma. They told us that they had the facility maintenance person “working on it”. Several hours later, it was still not fixed, and at this point a professional electrician had to be called in. Finally the electrician got the power back on and reported that it was because of a blown fuse. Meanwhile, the hotel did not offer us any compensation for our inconvenience. The very next day, the same thing happened in the afternoon, when we returned from an outing to find the power out. Try taking a shower in the dark! Again an electrician had to be called in and finally fixed it. Again the front desk clerks displayed a nonchalant attitude. At that point we also told them that there was a problem with the ceiling fan in our room. It would go off spontaneously during the night and the room would become uncomfortable. They said they would send someone to fix it, but never did. The next evening we decided to do some laundry at the hotel laundry facility and found what appeared to be rust stains on our clothing, some of which was recently purchased. The only reason why this trip was memorable was due to the beauty of Shelter Island and I can only say that we would NEVER stay at this hotel again, but find some other hotel on the island. I posted a review on the Travelocity website regarding this hotel so that others could be warned of a possibly negative stay at the Best Western.
We just stayed at the Best Western Plus in Ft Pierce, Fl on the 26th of August. Since we were booked on a cruise out of Miami and with storm Isaac on its way, we decided to stay overnight in Ft. Pierce. My brother in law had made online reservations for both them and us. We were given room 416 and my sister was in 410. Well the toilet in their room wasn't working properly and the floor under the window and a/c was soaking wet. The front desk gave them a different room, 414, and we all left and went to dinner. When we got back, our room was also soaking wet from the wall all the way to past the bed. It was late, so we just went to sleep. My husband is 75 and needs to use the bathroom during the night. He had to crawl off the end of the bed or else he would be in freezing water on his feet. As a diabetic, he must watch his feet very carefully. The next morning we got up and went to my sisters room. There was an active roof leak, complete with old black mold around it on the ceiling and she had to put towels on the floor to try and soak up the water that was covering the floor. I have done the "survey" and got an email back from the hotel manager, Makesh, saying that they were very sorry that they didn't live up to our expectations. My only expectation is to have a clean and DRY room. They don't care if you ever stay again. They have your money and that is the bottom line.
I was in rookies sports bar which happens to be in the Best western Sally Port Inn in Roswell, New Mexico. I stay at the hotel because of the bar. I can enjoy a drink without having to drive anywhere. I come into the hotel at least once a month. The bar staff delivers great service and are extremely friendly. This evening a man whom I was latter informed was the general manager Robert Lee of the hotel came in and threaten to fire the doorman because people where still in the bar 30 minutes after last call had been made. I thought this to be very unwarranted and unprofessional! They had already called last call, they were not serving anyone drinks in fact I watched the bar manager tell people that last call had already been made and that they were in the process of closing all tabs which included mine, and that the bar was closing as soon as the people in the bar finishe their drinks. Then latter the General manager came back into the bar and very rudely yelled at two women who were finishing the drinks that they paid for to get out. I will only continue to stay at this hotel because of the bar staff they have treated me well. I also hope that they took my advice and file a formal complaint against the Gerneral Manager for his very disrespectful treatment of both the employees and the people who were in the bar.
I filed a complaint with the front desk of the best western Sally port inn in Roswell, NM about the general manager Robert Lee yelling at me to get out of the bar for no reason what do ever the front desk clerk that I spoke with informed me that the manager had crumbled up the report and threw it in the trash when he received it today. He informed me of all the ways I can file a complaint. I plan on taking every action I can, I paid for my drink I was not causeing a problem what do ever, I was also a hotel guest, I'm very upset with the way Robert Lee treats people who stay at the hotel, the guest that go into the bar, and the way he handled the complaint.
****BEWARE!!!*** BEWARE*** I am writing this as my only way to vent the deplorable conditions at the Best Western Inn at Kings Dominion in Doswell VA. We arrived and paid for our room the advertised rate was $364.95 we were charged $486.14. When I called to question the charges i was told the room was a family room which was extra and the microwave and refrigerator were extra which was not disclosed to me, also when we walked into our room you could smell cat urine the room was not clean, had to call housekeeping to clean the bathroom, because of HAIR and Grass on the bathroom floor. After we went to the amusement park,7 Hrs later we came back exhausted around 4;30 pm. You can see all the rooms that were not done as we walked to our room. Our room was not cleaned i contacted the front desk and was told they were short handed they came and did a quick HORRIBLE clean, did not put clean linens on the bed. While we partially watched and then had to leave to ride around, until they were done. The coffee was still in the coffee pot!!! The Housekeeper Manager came downstairs and said sorry we are short of staff. As well as a complaint to the front desk!! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unfortunately this post will fall upon deaf ears and also i am contacting the BBB as well as Consumer Affairs in the state of VA. Also i may dispute the charges with my bank as i feel i was mislead about the charges. NEVER AGAIN WILL I STAY AT ANY BEST WESTERN!!! THE RATING NEEDS TO BE "NOT HABITAT FOR HUMANS"!!!!
we stayed at the Best Western in Rice Lake, Wi. The pool was out-of-order & we were never told until we descovered it ourselves. Our room wasn't cleaned after the first night - bed made & a few towels were left - no shampoo or conditioner, all of our trash was left in the room, empty cans etc.! We had 6 different rooms 4 were identical, but all charged different price. $10.00 extra was added to one of the credit card bills upon arrival, $10.00 was added to one of the bills when checking out. All they said was that "it happens all of the time, & that it would fix itself"! Many more things went wrong - when bringing it to the attention of the desk clerk, she said "why didn't you just go some place else & next you might have a pool! Our complaints were completely ignored! Hope EVERYONE reads this and Best Western goes bankrupt! Star rating of -10!!
Mr. Khaled Said, General Manager Best Western PLUS Hotel & Conference Center 5625 O’Donnell Street Baltimore, MD 21224 Re: Recent Stay Dear Mr. Said: My family and I recently had the displeasure of visiting your hotel for a family reunion. The following describes our experience: 1. The rooms – I reserved two rooms. Both rooms had bedding, including the sheets and pillowcases, which had obvious stains. There was hair between the sheets in both of rooms. In my room, there was what appeared to be semen stains on the green luggage drape that covers the bottom of the bed. In the other room, one stain on the sheet looked like feces and the other like blood. When we called house keeping, he entered the room and in an adversarial manner said, “What’s the problem?” When shown the stains, he responded, “We can’t get those out!” With that response, we immediately grabbed our bags and made other arrangements to stay in another Hotel. 2. The Tradewinds Dinning – The family had a banquet arranged for which we paid $30 per adult and $15 per child. These were the issues: a. Food served was NOT hot b. Bug on table was smashed and dragged by worker with her severing gloves on c. Hair was in the salad d. Plate of food was dropped on table in front of guest e. Workers i. Emma – nasty, confrontational and inappropriate when we were trying to have a conversation with the kitchen manager, Theresa Ash. ii. Another worker, the manager identified as Illinois, but called her “Peanut” literally looked my daughter-in-law up and down, was yelling at me and my son when we were trying to have a civil conversation with Ms. Ash. Ms. Ash looked at Illinois and said, “Peanut, chill!” Note – This worker was not wearing a nametag. We are extremely appalled by the deplorable conditions of your establishment and equally repulsed by the unprofessional, unintelligent and inappropriate behavior of your staff. That night I did not eat because the food was cold and the silverware was stained. I have never had such a demeaning and disgraceful experience in all my life. When the supervisor calls her subordinanate by a nickname, “Peanut” and uses slang to communicate a directive, i.e., “chill”, I question the relationship integrity of the relationship. Had it not been for the Fairfield Inn & Suites, Baltimore BWI Airport, located at 1020 Andover Road, Linthicum Heights, Maryland, my family and I would have been in trouble. As soon as we walked into the hotel, there was wonderful, polite young lady named Ciara who met our needs and empathized with our experience. The rooms at the Fairfield Inn were impeccable, the food was fresh and the overall care of the facilities was second to none. I strongly suggest that you consider taking a lesson from the Marriott/Fairfield Inn & Suites regarding customer care. They know how to ensure that their customers come back again. I will NEVER stay in a Best Western again. You establishment was disgusting in every way possible.
