Bass Pro Shops may have started with knowledgeable employees and sportsman's vaules but they are supporting Bank of America which is anti-gun/anti-hunter with the Bass Pro Visa. (Do a google search of BOA and McMillan Firearms if you don't believe me. The worst part is that WE the taxpayers bailed Bank of America out and still haven't been repaid!) The customer service on the day I went was horrible which made for a disappointing experience after a 1 1/2 hour drive to reach the store. Workers were not knowledgeable about the products and could hardly be bothered to do their job. I left the store after a frustrating 20 minutes of not being able to get one intelligent answer from the sales staff. I have bought a lot of tackle through the catalogs over the years but I won't be spending any more of my money there! If you do go to Cincinnati skip the BPS and see the Newport Aquarium, the staff there was friendly AND knowledgeable - two things Bass Pro could not provide! The BPS @ 300 Cincinnati Mills Drive in Cincinnati, OH 45240 can be contacted @ Phone: 513-826-5200.
Bass Pro customer service has gone straight down the porcelain tube. I ordered and received a rod and spnning reel combination (Bill Dance). First time out by the pond, I did a cast, heard a kerplunk, noticed the handle was gone. I called Bass Pro, they haggled a bit, then decided I was still under the 1 year warranty, and sent me a replacement rod and reel (and I only wanted the reel). I opened the box and the handle on this reel fell off (fortunately I was still at home). Contacted Bass Pro and said I was returning everything... the replacement rod and reel plus the original reel and where was the postage return label since the only thing I saw was a return label. CSR said that the return label also included postage... which it did not, so I paid for the postage to return everything. Now Bass Pro is haggling me about the return box, the return postage, etc. I've been a customer of Bass Pro for 40 years, but as on this date, no longer. I may have to eat the cost of the reel and the postage (expensive lesson), but BP will not only lose my business, but also 10 of my fishing buddies who stated they have had recent problems with BP as well.... so, so long BP... you won't stay in business long with this type of customer service and poor attitude.
I ordered a left hand carbonlite combo along with a rod carrying bag, I called bass pro's customer service number to do so and the representative repeated my order 3 times stating the phrase "left-hand retrieve". 3 days later, my order hasn't been shipped yet (keep in mind the money for the purchase has been taken out of my credit card th day of the purchase). So I called customer service to see what the delay is, the first guy that answered sounded like an idiot with no manners and talked to me as if I couldn't understand english, the second guy didn't have a clue about the products, however, he looked at the order and said it's packed and should be shipping Monday. He went ahead and repeated the order to confirm it was correct and mentioned "right hand retrieve", I told him I ordered a left hand retrieve and I have no use for the one they're sending. I tried to not be difficult so I said i'll swap it the right one at the local bass pro shop whenever I receive it then he said I'm not allowed to do yhat. The option he gave me was to wait for a left hand reel w a return label then send the right hand one back, and he said it will have to go through a supervisor and be approved first...anyway, to make a long story short, not only I paid for 1 to 2 day shipping, it has been 3 days at this point and my order hasn't even shipped yet, I was getting the wrong item and I have to wait longer to recieve the right reel if it were to be approved since I can't get the issue fixed at the local store (which sounds insane to me), bass pro has poor customer service and no consideration what so ever for the time and money the customer has invested shoping with them and last but not least they totally mess up the order and can't even make it right in a reasonable way and or amount of time. Thank you all for reading my review. And for bass pro shop management and supervisors, if you were to really care, as lame as the statement sounded ". Note: This is not to be used to contact Bass Pro Shops, Inc Corporate Offices nor is this site affiliated with them in any way. The purpose of this site is supply you with their phone number and address as well as share your thoughts about Bass Pro Shops, Inc. Your review will be posted and ...." I'm not going to say my name or rewards member id number but if you ever cared to do something about this and/or make it right, here is the order number "4971332" that I had to cancel because I got treated as if I were getting a free rod and reel, when I actually paid for them and unfortunately have to wait for 10 days now to get my money back on my credit card. Thank for the shitty unprofessional poor non-existing service. You all as a company are a joke. I hope the shop world know about this and I will make sure I let my fishing buddies know about your truth and make sure the word of mouth spreads. I'm going back to academy and only academy, they might not have the big selection of junk that you all have but at least they treat humans like humans. Thanks again everyone taking the time to read feedback other shopper's experiences, trust me, you are doing yourself a big favor investing a few minutes reading stuff like this instead of wasting your time getting ripped off. I wasted too much time that I will never see again in this order and got nowhere.
I found an add for a 2012 party barge at the Rancho Cucamonga store. The stock number 601554 was price out at NO HAGGLE PRICE including options and freight was 16,215 dollars..I loved the boat and drove 100 miles to buy it. When I got to store Richard dillon stated it was a mistake and the actual price would be 20,120..I was angry and contacted the manager of the boat sales and he stated that the advertized price was correct and that he would call me back. Well the add changed on line to same price with 25hp motor..2 days later there it is again ADVERTIZED with the 60hp big foot motor..this is a bait and switch OPERATION..dont buy from bass pro..
A not so funny thing happened to me today. I looked at the Bass Pro Shop website and priced a boat. The website showed the price to be $9,420.00 including the prep and freight charges. Funny thing is that when I contacted the Bass Pro Shop in OKC where one was listed in their inventory, I was told by Rick Olson that the price is $11,920.00. Explain the $2,500.00 difference in price. How can you rant and rave about no haggle no hassle pricing. I have the e-mail from Bass Pro Shop to prove that they were going to jab me for more money than their advertised price. Bass Pro is a joke and I don't know that I will ever spend a dime in their stores again.
I purchased a 2011 175 TXW Bass tracker Boat. The price was excellent. The design flaws on this boat are horrible. The license plate holder is too low and tears the license plate off the boat each time you lower it on a launch ramp. the load guide bars on the trailer keep coming loose as the screws do not work? I had Bass Pro Shop boat center in Rancho Cucamonga, CA install an electric anchor wench. In so doing, the idiot installing this left aluminum shavings in the bilge and some how it ruined the live well motor? Or the Center console seat that is held up with a cloth strap that comes off routinely? I could go on... dealing with the boat center is a real pot of joy! You get promises with no follow thru and the timing to get in to have scheduled anything takes months not days? The price they charge to fix their flaws is prohibitive, The management acts like they are doing you a favor? I will keep my boat and make the necessary repairs so I can use it and enjoy fishing... But, surprise! it will be the last boat I purchase from Bass Pro Shops
February 17, 2012 To Whom It May Concern, My decision to visit your Savannah location was by far the worst decision of my day. I cannot believe the complete disregard for customer service at this store. I went in to the store today with some questions over the return policies of some merchandise I had purchased recently and was ignored by the associates at the counter, and even more upsetting I believe that one of them was a manager (I think she was in a blue/white shirt, with short, brown hair; Jema?) I understand the importance of having fun at work, but I also understand the importance of customer service and its need to be valued over that of having fun. While the new line of Michael Kors purses are certainly gorgeous, I believe that it is necessary to keep the customers engaged in order to gain their repeat business; I know that Bass Pro certainly will not be receiving any of mine, nor that of my family due to today’s experience. And if that, indeed, was a manager standing at customer service, from what I gleaned from the moments standing at customer service unattended, while they gaggled on about Michael Kors, she certainly is not setting the kind of examples for associates that she should be as a manager and I know that I would not want her on my staff under any circumstances. I do not believe that there is ever a time that anything supersedes the customer needs in a retail store.
Dear sir's, I have made my last trip to Bass Pro. After many trips to Various Bass pro shops, most recently to Las Vegas, it was Another typical trip to your store. Rude employees, take a Number and wait, only to get an employee who has no idea About the product I needed. You are so out of touch of what The real sportsman want's and needs. From .22 bullets to high End pellet rifles! For you not to carry the Benjamin Marauder Just baffles me! Even Wal-Mart carry's them. I could go all day Listing products that you never have, only to buy them from the Other guys. During the same trip to Vegas, I attended the SCI Show only to trade stories of of shared experience's with many People who were also disappointed in Pro Bass. We know you can't Carry every product, but at least carry what is popular!! And for god's sake go under cover and travel to some stores. And Re-train your employees. Sorry I can't say it's been great, it Hasn't been! My thousands will be spent elsewhere. Joe Clark, Fresno ca
If I could give 5 negative stars, I would. Under no circumstances should one pay for one of their 3 day, 2 night stays at a resort with $75-$100 Bass Pro gift cards in return for listening to a timeshare sales pitch. The Bluegreen company employs hard sales tactics and shady goings on right in the store regarding signing your name on a screen only to find out they do not reveal to you ALL of the small print until after you sign and the paperwork is printed out. I read all of it that I got in an email that night and was shocked to find a whole section added to what I had signed. Why does Bass Pro let them in the store? I will not be shopping there again and it is too bad because that is where a lot of our family's gifts are purchased since we all do outdoor things. I will drive the 2 hours to Cabela's and tell everyone I know.

You have very poor spelling and grammar skills for an "attorney". I would not want you to represent me in any legal matter. Talking about details of your case in public forums such as this ruins your creditably in my book. Get a life.
I AM A LAWYER IN SOUTH ALABAMA, AND IM HERE TO TELL YOU TAHT BASS PRO SHOPS PROMOTE MANAGERS HAVING AFFAIRS WITH THERE EMPLOYEES. I AM REPRESENTIN TWO CLIENTS, AND THERE SPOUSES WORK AT THE SPANISH FORT,AL LOCATION WHERE ADULTRY IS RAMPANT. THERE HR DEPT HAS REFUSED TO MEET WITH ME ON SEVERAL OCCASSIONS.AFTER OUR LAW SUITS, AND OUR LETTER CAMPAIGN THAT PARTICULAR STORE WILL BE FRONT PAGE NEWS.
On Sunday January 15, 2012 we went to the Denver Bass Pro Shop. Before going and Driving an hour we looked on line for the store hours which showed they were open till 8pm. Upon arrival at 7:23pm we found the doors locked and the stickeron the door also stated they were open till 8pm. On Tuesday I called to speak to the manager of the store and when I stated that I drove for an hour just to find the store closed he stated to me that he was currently in the process today at having the signs replaced and the internet was updated as of today. He told me thanks for the information but that is how things go and nothing he can do for me. That is great but it doesnt do anything for the time and gas spent to come to the store. If your going to change the hours that is fine but make sure that it is correct in all places. Good thing we have cabela's, I have never had an issue with them and the extra couple of hours to drive there will be well worth the better service!!
Fair Warning!!!! I was employed at the time when a customer cut himself and bled all over the floor, shelving, and products. This customer stated that he had Hepatitis C and MRSA. The incident was not reported to OSHA and the area was cleaned up with soap water and products that were covered in blood were put back on the shelf to be sold. Be aware that this is happening and you take the chance to getting either of these blood borne diseases. Good luck shopping there. I will not state which store it was but if you would care to see the picture then please email me at bfeese@ggc.edu and I will be glad to send it your way.
I was wondering why bass pro does not have a shooting range. It would increase the sales of ammore and gun sales even hunting and fishing license because that should be a requirement before they could be able to shoot. And be beneficial to the public.
The food at the BPS Uncle Bucks Restaurant is horrible. Everything tasted like it had been in the freezer for a while. With that said, the waitress was amazing, a really sweet girl who did her job very well.
I attempted to price match and purchase a firearm at the 200 Gulf Stream Way, Dania Beach, FL store. I found the weapon (a Kimber Custom II) for sell in another State (several stores had it cheaper. After waiting approximately 90 Minutes in line I was instructed by "Al" that they don't price match unless it is a local store and they have the weapon in stock, when I questioned him on the policy of price matching selected items, it seem as though I had agitated him and his rudeness came out. I would like to point out that I bought the weapon from the dealer in another state (a physical address and storefront) and paid $15.00 in shipping fees, and still saved $101.00. Had "Al" been a better salesman and educated himself on the gun laws he would understood that by price matching Bass Pro Shop would have a profit by selling that weapon to me instead of losing a sale. The way he acted was as if I were a criminal attempting to pull a fast one. However as a Federal Agent (despite my appearance) I do not have a criminal record, and consider myself pretty articulate when speaking. It would be nice to hear/see an explanation of Bass Pro Shops price matching policy, whether it applies to all merchandise and have it posted in your store(s)
I wnet to the columbia, MO store twice now trying to purchase a shotgun for home defense. I Went in with my brother the first time to help me pick one out. He had my money on his card so I didn't have to carry a large sum of money in cash on me. We got there, picked it out and then told the sales person the situation. Not knowing that was Illegal, They told us they could not sell it to me. They said to come back when we get the money in the right hands. I understand that they could not sell it. I have no intention of breaking the law, I just wanted a shotgun for home defense, And thought Bass Pro would be a good place to get a new gun for a reasonable price. I came back next time I got paid, Which is two weeks later. So we go back and try to get it again. Then they say They Won't sell it to me because they supposedley have had issues with people buying guns illegally. They said they were not accusing us of it, But, Since they didn't sell it tells me the opposite. They treated me like an idiot And like I was beneath them. And basically told me that My money is not good there and Im a criminal. I am anything but; I work for a police department, & I have never even had so much as a traffic ticket. I already own two other guns as well, Both for hunting purposes. I am extremely upset with Bass Pro & I can tell you they will not get ANY of my money ever again.
I'm a partner in an organization called American Cornhole. I love Bass Pro stores and think they would be a perfect channel to run a nationwide fundraiser using the game of cornhole as the draw. Imagine if every store ran a cornhole tournament on the same day twice a year or once a quarter. Our company can work with you to pull this plan together. The ACO runs tournaments for charities all around the country and has helped raise millions of dollars directly and indirectly in the process over the last 5 1/2 years in operation. Check us out on youtube www.youtube.com/americancornhole or visit us at our facebook page www.facebook.com/americancornhole. Our site for our pro tour is www.KingofCornhole.com and our GOVERNING BODY TO THE SPORT OF CORNHOLE can be found at www.AmericanCornhole.org My contact information is Frank Geers / President / American Cornhole, LLC / 888-563-2002 / fgeers@americancornhole.com We would love the chance to talk Bass Pro Corporate about the opportunity of pitching an idea to increase store sales and raise awareness and money for a good cause. Game ON!
I WOULD RATE BASS PRO SHOP A -5 IF I COULD. SHOP AT CABELAS, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE IS FAR SUPERIOR!
