I had lunch in the mall food court at the South Bay Gallaria in Redondo Beach,CA. I became full but had over half of my food left. Instead of discarding my $10 meal I decided to save my food for dinner. I purchased ticket and as I attempted to enter the theater I was refused entry because outside food is not allowed. Now I had to decide to either to refund my ticket or trash my food... what sense does that make? I was not going eat in the theater ....
We are still waiting for our local AMC (Showplace 16, Schererville, IN) to resume showing captioned movies. What is holding things up? The newspapers have been notified of the poor treatment by AMC towards the hearing impaired/deaf community. How can another AMC theatre over 40 miles from here show captioned movies for a week at a time?
ATLAS SHRUGGED is coming out on limited release in a few months and I would love to see it at one of your theaters here in town (Atlanta), ideally the Parkway Pointe location here in Atlanta. Please do all of the Ayn Rand fans in Atlanta a favor and show this movie on your screens. The book Atlas Shrugged has a huge following, if you can tap into a piece of that you will make great money with showings. Thanks, Jim Funk
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!!!!! I HAD TO QUITE MY JOB DUE TO BEING LIED TO AND NOT RECEIVING MY FULL HOURS ON MY PAYCHECK!!!!!!!! 3 CHECKS I WAS SCREWED ON. WHEN ASKED WHY, THE MANAGERS CLAIMED THERE WERE GLITCHES IN THE SYSTEM, AND THEY COULD NOT HELP ME. HORRIBLE PLACE TO WORK FOR. AS ONE PERSON SAYS ALL THE MANAGERS ARE TEENAGERS. AND THEY DO PLAY FAVORITE. HALF THE KITCHEN STAFF WOULD SMOKE POT ON THEIR LUNCH BREAK.
How do I find out where I can use AMC coupons for. I don't show any in my area, but received thema as a gift for the holidays?
I love amc!!!
I have seen this company fall to the ground in the last couple years. I came in one day to watch a movie around 1pm on a weekday, the lady at the front box office was kind, but that kindness left when I entered the actual building. The ticket ripper was busy texting and told me to hold on, like I had time to waste. I asked her what time my movie got out and she looked at me with tipsy eyes with no answer. She smelt as if she drank before showing up for work. The boy at the food stand gave me lip and never finished my order. He kept rushing me so he can go back to his phone. I asked for the manager about his remarks, but no manager showed up for over 5 minutes. The film overall Burleque was good, enjoyed it. The young man cleaning the house after I got up smelt of marijuana. I will tell you one thing, I won't be coming back to this theater again.
Customer Service is poor. Recived a gift card for $50.00. No AMC threaters in my area. I am being told that I cannot have a refund.
I USE TO WORK FOR AMC IN THEY DON'T LIKE TO PAY YOU YOUR PAY CHECKS 6465868064
I am currently working at this location and I love it. But there are a good amount of issues that makes it a bad working place environment. With employees moving up to the manager positions, there is a lot of "favoritism" going on. It is getting so bad that my advancement is at a stand-still. I want to further myself in this company, but with these things happening I can't. Another problem is the use of smoking "Illegal Marijuana". Over 80% of the employees working there is in constant use of it before, during, and after work. I mean whatever they do at home is there on prerogative, but when it interferes with the workplace environment and making the employees work at a 10% work level, and making myself(at a 110% work level) be forced to do the workload of multiple people at once is completely unfair. I would love for our CEO Gerardo Lopez to come in without a uniform and see how bad it is. Can I meet with the president of AMC to discuss this? Or make our work do a mandatory drug-test?
Incompetent service at Essex Green, West Orange NJ. Dinner order was lost and had to be resubmitted. Time from original order to eating the lukewarm facsimile that finally arrived: 90 minutes. Drink order was also incorrect. We were visited by four separate servers who came to our table with someone else's order! Server to customer ratio, about 1:3, so they were not overworked. Very, very poor management at work here. Should be replaced wholesale.
I will go out of my way to NEVER go to one of your theaters now that you have pulled the Safeminds PSA. Many people helped to raise funds for that effort and you got sucked in by a bunch of "science-bloggers" who work for pharma. Since you agreed to show the piece initially, you should hold to that decision. I am very disappointed with AMC.
I just wanted to let you all know that you have lost my business. That is unfortunate for you because I spent a lot of money every month at your Barrywoods 24 theater. I called the theater on sunday 11/14/10 and inquired about when Harry Potter tickets would be up for presale. I was told that they would be for sale on the next day. I drove my disabled self to your theater (20 miles)to buy the tickets at noon on that monday only to be told that all they were selling was the Imax and ITX (or whatever) tickets. Of course the Imax are $5 dollars more and the ITX are $4 dollars more. I didn't buy them. I was told while there that the regular show tickets would be on sale at the opening of the box office the following day. The next day I called at 10:30 when the box office opened and they said they would not be on sale till 6pm that night. Then at 6:30 that night I called again while on the way to the theater to buy them and talked to first Ashley then manager Brandon and they said they were still not on sale for anything but the Imax and Itx. I told both Ashley and Brandon what I had been told and the whole story as I have just put it on here and they thought it was funny and even laughed about it. I also told Brandon that I thought it was wrong to be hard selling the Imax and Itx and that it was obvious that they were trying to milk every dime out of movie goers by refusing to sell the regular show tickets until they sold all of their Imax and Itx tickets. He used the excuse that they were programing the show times into the computer and when they were programmed they would be on sale. Probably sometime late that night or early the next day. I then decided to go to a different theater chain and brought my tickets as soon as I walked in and was told they had been selling them for two weeks. I will not ever use a AMC theater again. I predict (just like I did with Sprint cell phones) that you will be struggleing and even bankrupt soon. I am going to call all three of the local TV stations with my story and let them do with it what they will. I would not be surprised too see Kansas pull out of the offer they are making to get you to move your corporate offices there. You all should be ashamed!
Why have you quit plying movies in closed caption in KC? This is very upsetting!
AMC IS THE WORST THEATER I EVER EXPERIENCE THE WORKERS AND EVEN THE MANAGERS ARE RUDE THE AMC IN STAFFORD TEXAS OVER BY THE FOUINTAINS. I WOULDNT SUGGEST PEOPLE TO PAY THIER MONEY WITH HAVING TO PAY HIGH PRICES AND GET TREATED LIKE TRASH. THE AMC IN THE FOUNTAINS IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL THEATER I WENT TO..
I'll just add to the already lousy ratings of AMC. That company should just declare bankruptcy and be done with it. Feedback on the absolute fiasco of a Fathom special event "hosted" by AMC: THE SOUND OF MUSIC 45TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL REISSUE / SINGALONG. What could Fathom have been thinking? They gave this special evening to the worst movie house in our area - AMC MARPLE, Springfield PA! We saw no advertisements, no advance information so not many knew about this event for Tue. 10/19/10. Being an old theater that many avoid..having OLD EQUIPMENT – well, something was wrong with their projector (I was told) and the quality of the movie was destroyed: the screen projecting a sickly yellow green on the right half and on the left half..let’s just say my DVD from 5 years ago plays better. It was terrible. We all got our money back and we were then told Marple would be hosting it again tomorrow night, Tue. 10/26. Apparently no one in that theater knew what was going on. Now we're told by the “manager” (who wasn’t even aware of what happened at the "event")that they would not be having a 2nd showing. That the “disc” (or print, whatever) had already been returned to FATHOM. THIS after being told before the weekend that “they were getting their projector fixed”. END RESULT: In this area we were completely shut out of this much anticipated event. Stupidity of Fathom to choose AMC. I avoid AMC whenever possible. I will continue to do so, as will most of my friends now. Because of them we were not, and will never be able to see, this much-anticipated one-time only event.
Have been attending LITH AMC (formerly Kerasotes) for the past 6 years. Almost always, it was a good experience. Our movie group used to attend on Fridays before noon, and the price was right. When AMC took over, they made some changes - some good and some bad. Friday had no advantages - movies until 4:00 were $7.50, and then after 4:00, it was $10.00. Every other day of the week had specials - Mon thru Thursday was $5.00 all day, and Saturday and Sunday, it was $5.00 before noon. Why don't you just say that Friday, Saturday and Sunday's first movie of the day will be $5.00. That way, all of us weekend movie-goers can always get a bargain if we go to the first show. What happened to the movie section of the newspapers? AMC doesn't advertise in any newspaper.
I think that the amc employees at the castle rock theater are by fare the most nicest people you will ever meat. The theater is always clean and tidy and they always respect you. Why I'm writing is I hear that they have not gotten a raise ever and the entire amc castle rock Colorado staff needs to get a raise asap. They deserve it.
I am an avid movie goer and enjoy your Menlo Park cinema on a regular basis. It is an extremely convenient location and the mall provides more conveniences for my busy lifestyle. It was a poor business decision to close that theater for renovations during the fall which is a prime movie release time. I am also not happy with the conversion to a "fork and dine" mileau. The thought of having to watch a movie while people are eating is not at all appealing; I cannot imagine the food choices will be appealing either. In addition, the next best mall/movie choice for me Bridgewater Commons, is also closed for the same dismal renovation. Some of your customers, like me, want a movie venue. Bad call guys!
The amc in lakewood 12 is an awful place to work at. They do not care about the crews well being. Many things involving our food is not healthy and some of it is unsanitary. I would quit if I could find another job.
