Due to this game I'm officially not shopping at any of the Albertson in Nevada. This game is a scam. It's disappointing that 1 week before the game ends the store stops giving out game pieces. WTF????!!! Are you serious? Good Bye Albertson!
IT IS A TOTAL SCAM,ME AND THE LADIES AT WORK SHOP AT DIFFERENT ALBERTSONS AND RECEIVED HUNDRES OF TICKETS AND WE ALL NEEDED THE SAME PIECE MINUS ONE OR TWO.IS THERE SOMETHING THE CONSUMER CAN DO TO BE COMPENSATED FOR OUR WASTED EFFORTS OVER SOMETHING LIKE THIS?NO PRIZE WON AT ALL AT THE THE STORE I SHOP AT EXCEPT MAYBE $2.00 WHAT A WASTE.I WISH WE CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT COMPANIES WHO DOES THIS.
Yes, I was taken in like everyone else playing the Albertsons Wish Big Nothing Contest. I wonder if the employees had better luck with their separate contest or were they also ripped off. I too needed just one more game piece for many different prizes. Alas, not even a lousy $2.00. You are better off shopping at another grocery store with lower prices and investing the difference at a casino! Last year, I was ready to shop somewhere else. However, I decided to give Albertsons another chance since I thought maybe the contest would be fun and I could actually win something. The end result was no fun and high grocery bills! Too bad that Albertsons has a lousy management team who are not customer friendly. Anway, I will now make my new grocery list for a grocery store other than Albertsons.
WISH BIG, WIN BIG (aka Scam BIG, Deceive BIG) POORLY marketed game POORLY designed game POORLY though out game POORLY distribution of game tickets (out 9 days before end of contest. Customer perspective - Albertsons will suffer with many customers over how this scam was managedl. Here Ii come Ralphs, Vons and independents. BOO Albertsons and shame on you - CORPORATE GREED
I shop @ the Albertson's Store on Spring St. in Long Beach CA and have spent over $1500 during the Big Wish Game. Spent $250 on January 25th and this Albertson's no longer has any tickets! The cashier suggested I try another Albertson store in the area!! WTH is that all about! The only winner they could report is someone winning $50,000 in their Buena Park store. Wow, Long Beach has almost 500,000 people and no big winners! Scam, scam, scam!!! What a waste of paper and everyone's time. Bye, bye Albertson's!!!
Like everyone else, this game was a SCAM. 13 days before the end of the game..all of a sudden there were no game pieces to be had. I was told to find another Albertsons....maybe they had game pieces. My daughter and I faithfully shopped and pasted stickers and I am sure, like many others, were just a game piece away from even a $500 prize. Albertsons has always been my store...but not any more and from the other comments, I am not alone. Your SCAM backfired. Shame on you. You should be investigated and I will make it my job to see that it is done!
Guess we all got screwed. Will not be shopping there anytime soon. Come to think of it never again, how many customers did u lose albertsons? Your game was a good idea to get customers for all your high prices, but what happened, u dropped the ball.
The Big Win game is out of tickets with 1 1/2 weeks left to shop. I purposely waited to shop until I needed a lot of groceries and then went out of my way to shop at Albertsons to get the triple tickets. I was told after I had already paid there was no more tickets. I was told to take my receipts and go to another Albertson's to see if they had any. Well, I took my receipts to 5 other Albertsons from Ventura to Simi Valley and not one of them had any tickets left. After shopping at Albertson's for months to get the game pieces I can't believe Corporate will let the stores run out before the end of the month. I am very disappointed and will go back to Vons. What's even funnier, the ad for this week is still advertising triple tickets. What a joke!!!!!!
I shop at Albertsons in Santa Fe, New Mexico (Zia location). I collected 100 stamps for the Cuisinart Stamp Saver program. According to the information provided by Albertson when I started collecting the stamps,I could redeem 75 stamps and pay 29.99, and get a 12 cup coffee maker. When I went to get the coffee maker, I was told the charge would be $40.00 plus tax, even though I had over 75 stamps. This is false adverstising. Did anyone else experience this?
We have spent well over 3,000 dollars shopping at Albertsons for the big win and have not won swat. Not even a 2.00 prize. It is all a big scam to make big profits before they go out of business!!? WHICH I HOPE THEY DO. We are done shopping at this scam store. They are going down down like they rest of the retailers in this country and this was a last ditch effort to make big profits for the big shots at corp. What a waste of our time and money to support a local store. SHAME ON YOU ALBERTSONS!!SHAME ON YOU CROOKS. Haciendia Heights, California
JUST LIKE THE REST OF THESE POOR PEOPLE I WAS TOLD WHEN I STARTED THIS GAME BY ALBERTSONS EMPLOYEE THAT THEY WILL HAVE PIECES UNTIL 1/31/12. I HAVE SEEN THE SAME EMPLOYEE TODAY AND SHE SAID THERE ARE NO MORE TICKETS AVAILABLE AND SHE WAS SORRY. THIS IS SUCH A SCAM. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT ALBERTSONS AGAIN!!!! THANK YOU FOR NOTHING ALBERTSONS.

In the several months the Big Win Game was played I spent hours pasting on little stickers. Friends gave me their game tickets, family gave me their game tickets, I got tickets from customers who didn't want them. I only needed one in several places; but then on January 13th or so, the store ran out. There were only about twelve winners. The biggest prize was an ipad and the rest were small gift certificates of $5. This game was a rip-off. They must have given away millions of useless tickets. I really expected there to be some winners. I like the employees, but the game designer and corporate office owe customers an apology. Shop at Trader Joe's.
I have been playing the Win Big game since it started. I went shopping yesterday and am suppose to recieve 92 tickets for my purchases. The store told me they were out and not going to recieved anymore. They said I would have to call around and find out who has them left so I can go to another store and get them. I called around and everyone is out. I have only one space left on so many prizes. This is rediculous it says the game isn't over until the end of the month but you can't play anymore. If there is a class action over this count me in I will save my recipts. I have been a loyal customer of Albertson's for at least 10 years. Now it looks like I am going to be a loyal customer of Smith's. Steve, Las Vegas
I am also playing the stamp saver program. Baseline and Ellsworth is the store I go to in Mesa,Az. Customer service keeps telling me they will be getting my appliance any day now! 3 weeks and waiting! They tell me that the response was overwhellming. What did they expect! They also said the company they contracted with did not send enough product! After 5 contacts with the store, I am ready to go to Fry's or Safeway to do my shopping! Let me know what you think I should do.
Seems like the "Wish Big Win Big" game has given Albertson's employees the right to snap at customers. Innocently I went to an Albertson's in Orange County yesterday morning, after paying for my groceries, I mentioned to the cashier that I had 2 tickets that were good for 4 more game tickets. I could not finish my sentence when she barked at me that they were out of tickets and if I had read the rules I would know that the the rules say: "January 31 or when supply is gone". I had no way of knowning the supply was gone prior to that moment. Guess it is OK to not treat a customer with respect if they ask a question....... Sure not interested in being embarrassed again. Bye bye Albertson's,I think I can buy groceries and be treated with respect, just not at your store. Golly.
Today is 1/21/2012. The "Wish Big" contest ends on 1/31/2012, HOWEVER, several Orange, California Albertsons are OUT OF WIN BIG GAME TICKETS! And I was informed that they were not going to be sent more by corporate! What about all those people who shopped and pasted and now are shut out of the possibility of winning? Did Albertson already decide which stores would win and which stores would not? Sounds like Class Action to me!
I shop at Albertson's because it is the best store in my area as far as availability of Products that I want. I don't go there because of some stupid game. This store also has good managers that listen to their customers. I know this because I have complained to them and they have listened and made changes. The corporate office needs to adopt a similar attitude. Please, Albertsons! No more stupid time-consuming games! I don't have time to go home sit around sorting through tiny stickers and your cashiers should not have to add to their risk of carpal tunnel by counting them out. In my opinion instead of wasting money on printing contest materials it would be much better if you lowered your prices a little.
The "Wish Big Win Big" game is a complete joke. I have been playing since October, and hundreds of dollars later have not one squat-not even $2.00. It is ridiculous to have been playing this "game" since October, and to not have won anything. I asked the cashiers in the store that I shop at if anyone has won, and they were like not so much in Las Vegas, but in California there were a "couple of winners". I am never putting one more penny into this deceiving store. Shame on you Albertsons, shame on you.
First of all, the game rules say Jan 31st or "while supplies last." Many of my friends have admitted to throwing away their tickets or just letting their kids have them. On a game ( got it.....game) there are only a handful of tickets that are rare and/or semi rare tickets. If customers who were not serious about playing the game didn't take the tickets and throw them away, maybe there would have been more winners. but come on people, it was a game, no one forced anyone to play. Did any of you actually read what the odds were? Do you realize if they were giving 4 cars away, that out of millions of tickets only 4 tickets would win the car? How many winning tickets are in the trash, in your kids toy box or better yet, on the bottom of your purse or center divider of your car? Get a life people!!!
