Their website sucks ... they sure don't want you to call them for there isn't any contact info and forget about info for a local store. Couldn't even find the phone number for my local pharmacy!
At 8:56 a.m. at the McMinnville, Oregon, branch of Albertson's, I had a positive experience with the handling of a Customer Service issue. While checking out at the Self-Check out, it was discovered that my Albertson's card was not scanned. The items were not purchased yet, so it was necessary to press the "Go Back" button. At first, the monitor gave me an error message. Never the less, the "Go Back" button was pressed again. My card was accepted, but then a "Contact Customer Service" message popped up. The individual who was present at the time, Amanda, listened actively, then took the appropriate corrective action to resolve the issue effectively, and efficiently. The individual who usually manages that section always does a fantastic job; however, in this case, the individual who stood watch for her did an excellent job, as well. Amanda deserves to be recognized for her excellent customer service skills. Thank you. -- A satisfied customer.
I was at the Irvine Quail Hill store today doing ministry work to help the in need. The boy/girl scouts were there too, I guess someone made a mistake on the dates and it was only scouts to be there today but instead of the manager kindly saying sorry for the mix up he said "you need to leave" he was so rude his name was Frank he made me never want to go back to this Albertsons as well as crush the feeling I had for the good work we were doing. I don't see why we could't have shared the store for a few hours its not like we were competing and I think the scout leaders forgot who we were suposed to be doing this for it is to feed those in need!
At the Albertson's in Fort Worth, Tx. on Sycamore School Rd. the was a young man who brought in carts. I saw him in the store and asked him for some help. I am disabled and it was an effort for me just to get in the store. I needed two large bottles of V8 juice. I asked him if he would mind getting them for me. Not only was he willing but he brought me four bottles, so I could choose from two different types. He was very courteous and very helpful. I have MS and have a very hard time just getting around. He was extremely helpful. I'm sorry I didn't get his name, but he deserves high praise! He gave me excellent customer service. Keith Dale
I find it cruel and unkind that a young man, an employee in one of your stores, is being treated like a slave in one of your stores in Colorado Springs. His name is Dustin Dykes. He is not related to me in any form or fashion. I am a fellow learning team member and classmate with him at the University of Phoenix. It has been hard for him to fulfill his duties as a team member and student due to the face that his supervisor who is not willing to work with this hard working soul that you have been so lucky to have working for you. We made schedules weeks ahead of time in order for it to be possible for Dustin to submit to his supervisor to work around so he can be at learning team meetings and attend school. Its a crying shame that slavery still exists and people are at the mercy of careless people. Dustin wants to better himself and his life with his little family. Why is it so hard to work around a schedule or even compromise in some way. Why Why Why Why!!!!!! Do you not want educated and well adjusted individuals serving your company and your patrons. I am not saying i know everything about Dustin and what his situation is at his job. I do know i have been at the mercy of slave drivers who took advantage of my kindness or timid demeanor. People who judge you and yes im judging as well but please understand this is America and we all are entitled to a good education and the American Dream.
the Albertsons on Town center in Las Vegas has a checker there named Tim Kasper he is the best and he looks like Santa Clause , the Supervisor there is an ass he is always on this mans case cause he close to retirement now if I find out he has been terminated so that this company doesnt have to pay his pension I will make sure all my friends and family which is exstensive greatley boycott all the alberstsons in the valley you had better make sure you keep Tim Kasper employed with your company. I cannot stand the Supervisor there he is as I said I huge ASS and needs to be brought down off his power trip thank you Mrs. Sharon D Buntrock
I just purchased a Visa debit card with the promice from the clerk that if after attempting to register it, and it didn't work out ( which it did not activate properly to use immediately) I could return it to the store. Day asst. manager Scott, wouldn't do anything but repeat that I only had the 800 Visa number as a recourse. Later I returned to the store manager Becky, only to have to shout at her in the store infront of everybody to "Stop Talking", Becky...you do not know about my problem, and calling the 800 Visa number is not acceptable" Only that would snap her out of her insulting dialog claiming the problem was on me to cal the 800 Visa number. Adding insult to injury, was her comment that she had experienced this problem before leaving me wondering why she would allow the cards to be sold without the employees not knowing how to forwarn the customers of the known problems. Not only does the customer satisfaction policies of Albertsons, Laramie Wy suck, but their management reflects the same. In contrast, when I went to Safeway, Laramie, Wy and spoke to one of their daytime store managers, who was fully aware of the additional variety of problems associated to the card issued by MetaBank pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc.. He immediately told me that if an employee of his had indicated in error that the card could be returned, that he would honor his employee's mistake and refund it, knowing his store would need to take a loss as other businesses must on occassion to maintain credability and integrity. He asked me not to mention his name after I asked him if I could quote him. As well, after I followed up with Walmart, an associate and assistant manager gave ear to my problem, and showed me that Walmart does not sell a loadable Visa card, and that the Green Dot Visa that was sold years ago is no longer offered. Having spent a lifetime in chronic poverty, I have repeatedly been victimized by my own stupidity while using debit cards. Most commonly, presenting a debit card at a retailer i.e., to purchase a cup of coffee, only to find out later that the bank is charging a $30 overdraft fee for the mistake which pushed me into a negative balance. Because the bank notified by mail, many purchases were made with this penalty, and the poorest of the poor bank customer is now even poorer with overdraft fees against him or her. This practice is only now being curtailed but only after banks have been abusing poor, simple minded, poorly educated, less responsible people for years, and reaping obscene profits from the practice. In the case of Albertsons offering this card, they are part and parcel to this practice because they know the $3.95 they charge for the service is money in their pocket that doesn't have to be backed up by any quality standards. Albertsons and others sell this card to unsuspecting customers who are not aware of the additional fee's required to use the card in the various ways it can be used. As I spoke to the clerk at the store, he/she ( I do not want to incriminate the lowly clerk )assured me that my $69.00 T-Mobile cell phone bill could be paid easily on line and the $75 I presented would cover the costs. ( because I am on a church painting vacation and there are no payment service centers available in Laramie for T-Mobile ) I later after opening up the package during my online registration process discovered that it would be an additional $10 charged against my balance to pay the bill, thus, I didn't have enough on the card to pay the bill anyway. Amazingly, the only free service they offer is if you purchase at point of sale, or use it for auto billing, but there is a monthly fee to keep the card active. Even after threat of going to the newspaper with a letter to the editor, the BBB, and direct to the Albertsons regional manager, Chuck Kramer, at the Billings, Mont. distribution center, the Albertsons store manager Becky would not budge, or even offer to assist me in resloving the problem. Shame on Albertsons.
I believe strongly in any steps toward conservation and was pleased that Albertsons was encouraging the use of customers bags for groceries and using as an incentive a five cent discount per bag you brought in. While checking out at the Dyer street Albertsons in El Paso, Texas I asked about the discount for my bags and the cashier did not know the code. She summoned the manager who also did not know the code and had to locate it. When I asked if this didn't discourage customer involvement she told me that they only did it if the customer specifically requested it. I have shopped at other Albertons where this is automatic. Is this a different policy store to store or a corporate commitment.

I called the store I purchase from and noone could give me your # or who to contact in this Area, Washington State. Purchase at Albertsons in Fourth Plains, encountered people at the door gathering signatures to put a measure like Arizona's on illegal immigration which is nothing more than targeting Hispanics in Arizona and the same thing here and while not Mexican and 64 years old and of Cuban descent find it deplorable that your stores would allow to gather signatures at your door and I am sure that the Mexicans that live around this store and purchase at this store also find deplorable. When calling the store I was told that they were gathering signatures for Voter's Registration, not so; and that the place they were doing this did not belong to Alberton a poor excuse because they were located where you keep your gardening merchandise right outside this door where this lady was collecting signatures. Not a public sidewalk but within your store perimeters. If they are still there next time I go to shop there, will go elsewhere.
I am responding to the Consuelo Lightner comment made on 6/19/2010. Key word Consuelo "ILLEGAL"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so tired of people keeping quiet about this problem. And it is a problem that is getting worse by the minute. I don't hire "ILLEGALS" nor do I want to pay for their healthcare or welfare etc. Let me remind you Consuelo, that in this country we all have the right to speak what we feel whether you agree with it or not. I have relatives in Russia that would love to come here, have everything written in their language, not pay taxes and receive free healthcare. Get my point? I think a lot of people are. I am all for LEGAL immigration! Remember Consuelo, thats the way everyone else has to do to get here! Signed, A LEGAL IMMIGRANT
