Actually they should have an option on here for o stars! Very poor customer serivce. I purchased a furniture set from the Canon City, Co. Branch. I have paid on this furniture set religously for 2 years and I went into the store on January 11th, 2012 to make my final payment. My records were not jiving with the stores records because I would send extra money here or there, that they were not crediting me for. So the General Manager told me that he was going to apply a fifty dollar off coupon to my account and all I would owe that day was $205.47 and the furniture set would be paid in full. The problem was that on this day we had an extremely bad snow storm and all their computers were down , so they could not give me a payment in full reciept while I was there. I was promised by the General Manager that he would be mailing me a reciept by the end of January and I should recieve it no later than Feb. 5th. Well here we are the 20th and still no reciept. So, I get home today and have an Aaron's missed call on my phone. I call and one of thier associates told me that I owed more money, I immediatley asked to speak with the manager, who got on the phone and said oh it just got put in wrong don't worry we are taking care of it. I asked him why I had not recieved a payed in full reciept yet and he gave me a run around story, saying that his regional manger had not applied the coupon yet. I got a little upset and asked why this was taking so long??? The VERY RUDE MANAGER told me that he did not have to listen to what I was saying and he did not have to send me a reciept either and that if I wanted one I could go down there and get one. I was dumb founded at the severe lack of customer service and unprofesionalism that this General Manager had. I will never buy from this store again!!! They are terrible and I will fight them on this to the end!
My husband and I started a renatl agreement with Aarons about 5 months ago for a washer,dryer and a laptop. Our monthly bill was to be $215.00 for all the items, after paying the bill online on time and sometimes before time we recieved a call from the store saying that we owed last fees of over $250. They said that is was stated in the agreement when we singed the contract, needless to say that it wasn't nor did the delivery man explain that to us. But the late fees are not valid, we have never been late on a payment, when we contacted the store manager he said that the only bill quote was wrong our bill was suppose to be $265.00 monthly and that we had to pay up the money that was mis quoted. Well we wasn't about to do that so we asked them to come to some sort of reasoning about the matter that was not our fault, he said he would not and that the balance was on us to pay. We refused to pay and kept paying our online bill, but they were taking the said balance from our monthly payment to pay that and then told us that we were behind in our monthly payment due to insuffient funds! When we stopped payments and asked that they get the matter sorted out before we started payments again, the started harrassing us by way of phone calls threating to send the cops to my house. They called my husbands job and told the situation to his supervisor, his fellow employees and his boss had at one time been a client of theirs ( he is no longer )and they called him at his home to complain to him and threatened to has him brought up on charges as a co conspiritor!The last straw is that have been coming to my house ( I live in a gated community)they told the gate guards that we called them in for service repairs and they have threatened my children and have attempted to push their way pass my 18 yr. old son and proceeded to curse at him. This is appauling and not fair for something that was their mistake.
I worked for Aarons corporate offfice for a few years and had high creentials and thus left with that. I can assure you the primary purpose in me leaving is the very immoral an unethical manner in which this company ill treats its customers and frankly steals. I have myself to face and it was a very moral decision to leave just last month. I can tell you in all honesty that the 5 star postings are rebutles purposely made by their corporate people to shine them in a better light. They do this often when they encounter negative reviews. I personally would rent nothing. Save your money to purchase and that is that.
We got a living room set from Aaron's we got it brand new and that night the dang recliner would not stay closed you could just walk by it and it would pop out if you sit on it or on the other side of it, it will pop open. So ever time we went in to pay our payment we told them. They told us they would call us about it and they never called. We kept on telling them and telling them this went on for months now. They told us everytime they would get someone to call us but,they never did. Well oneday we went in to pay our payment and the manager was their so we talk to him and told him about the problem he told us they we was not talking to the right person,like we new who we was to talk to or like it was our fault because we would'nt talking to the right person or something. He told us they would send someone out to look at it so we waited and waited and no one called or came out so we called them again for the millionth time and finally they sent someone out. Well he got here and look at it and told us that the couch was warped and he would have to go through the hole thing to fix it and he would call Aaron's and tell them so he could come back and get it to take it to his shop. Well we waited again and no one called us to come and get it so we called them and told them we would just trade it in on something elese but they told us we couldnt do that. Now you tell me who wants a warp couch and by the way they never came to get it to fix it. I have never been treated this way by no business. I can't understand why we can't trade it in on something elese. That would satisfie us we just don't want to get a bad credit report on it or we would just let it go back but if they don't do something to help me it will go back. THEY ARE REALLY DOING PEOPLE WRONG!!!!!!!!!
Very dissatisfied customer,the first furniture they sent out i had 2mos.the cushions started to come loose on couch & loveseat.the loveseat was just not put together properly factory malfunction.aaron seNt someone out to fix but 2 mos.at $4000,no way! Soi told them to come get it. So even after all the lies i was told i gave them a 2nd chance went back had them to reorder the same furniture,while the movers were bringing in, they hit the corner of the couch on my inside closet door and scraped the pleather off where you can see the wood and foam coming out. So o told the sales perspn that sold me the furn. I would deal only with her concerning this furniture. But she endef up letting me down like the rest. We go do this that and the others,and nothing has happen my health wasnt the best but all the lie, deceit,untrustworthyness i have endured. They have taken my stress to a new level and i am really really tired!
Another day Aaron didnt keep there word on picking up there property.i told them i would make myself available today 2/16/12 until 10am to11:30am.it is now 11:58 to days more lies. W.O.W.
I became a customer of Aaron's less than 2 months ago. I became annoyed with dragging my laundry every other week to the laundry mat, and figured now that we have an apartment were I can have a washer/dryer, I will get one. I don't have enough money saved up to purchase one outright, so I decided to try Aaron's, only because my fiance had issues with RentACenter. We called and priced them out, and decided on a set. We went in the morning and arrived before 10AM, (as I called the night before, and she gave me the hours of 9AM-7PM). They hadn't even opened their doors yet! I had to be at work at 11AM, so I figured we would get there before 10 just in case. We didn't get in there until 10:20ish. Ok, so over that. I will state, I have no problems with finance charges on an item, and paying monthly. I filled out the application, got it all squared away. They literally took their time. I kept stating, I have to go to work, can this go faster? I will add, the girl helping us, was never rude. However, when she needed assistance from her manager, he just sat in the office, and took his time coming to help her. So we had the washer/dryer delivered on New Year's Eve. I was actually shocked when they said they would. Delivery was fine. I will add that the washer/dryer was used, they did tell me that the previous customer had it for 4 months. They assured me it was fine. Dryer worked great. Washer...Well...not good. I think I only got a few loads done before it started to stop spinning, and just would fill with water, and I couldn't get it to drain. So I call Aaron's, they contact a repair company. Repairman comes out a few days later while I'm at work and my fiance is at home. They fail to tell the repairman that it's a stackable, which means he would have had to bring a second man to help him lift the dryer off. So he came out, couldn't move it. He did say he knew what was wrong with it though, and had to order a part. So Aaron's tells me that they can bring a loner washer to me until the part is in. Ok, cool. WELL...first, I had told them it it's during the week they need to contact me, please contact my fiance, as he is on the lease too. I work days, and he works nights so he is home all day. They continued to call me. Ok, fine. Well the day they were supposed to come out to bring the loner, they call and say they tested it, and it wasn't working. Well at least they did that instead of bringing it out. Ok well the repair man said only a few days. So Aaron's schedules us for the repairman to come back out. On that day they told me, my fiance waited ALL DAMN DAY for this man to arrive. Finally I call the repair company, and they say that Aaron's scheduled the repair on a day they didn't even have an opening!!! So I call Aaron's and they were all confused, the girl was like "Why would he tell me that time was open and then it's not?" How the hell should i know, I just want the washer fixed! Ok, so they give me two options, reschedule the repairman, or call a different repair company. I choose call a new one. So they did, and the company did call me less than an hour later, and scheduled to come out the next day. That was great. So the repairman comes out the next day in the time he gave! He said it was the motherboard on the washer, that it probably needed to be replaced. He unplugged it and reset it, and it started working. So I was able to run a few loads that night. Then it started doing the same thing again. Next day I call Aaron's and demand a relpancement. So they finally brought one out. Worked GREAT! Only issue is either our water smelled funny, like mildewy, or it was the washer. Either way, the clothes didn't smell like it after they were washed. So things were good, it was washing, dryer was great. Then Aaron's calls me about two weeks later, saying my washer is fixed. My understanding was that I was going to keep the one I had. Since the delivery guys have now been in twice moving this thing up a flight of stairs in an apartment. Nope.Ok, so I say alright bring it out ASAP. They tell me it would be at 6PM the next day as they had to add it onto the delivery list. No big deal. So the next day comes around, and around 2PM we decide to leave and go to Walmart. We were no more than 10 minutes from home, and Aaron's calls me! Tells me the delivery guys are at our apartment. I get pissed and tell the lady we aren't home and that the manager told me 6PM. She goes "oh, well that couldn't have been right, we close at 6PM, how could we deliver it?, but we can redeliver it another day." I say "NO. I've been waiting and dealing with this long enough, they will wait and I will be home in less than 10 minutes." Ok, so I get my washer back. I ran ONE...ONE load of laundry and the damn thing did the same thing it did before!! Needless to say at this point I was so irritated. I had my fiance deal with them from then on. So he calls, and they say they have one there, BUT it doesn't have the stacking kit that goes with it. They aren't sure where it is, and can't use one off my washer because it's supposdely glued to it. They aren't sure where to get one, but they said they would call by Monday. This was Thursday 2/10/12. So now I have to go all weekend again?! So my fiance said "this is ridiculous" and called Lowes and asked if they had the stacking kit for the washer. YES THEY DO! So he calls Aaron's back and tells them. The girl is like "Oh, I never thought of that." Then on Friday he called them back, and they said they would bring it out same day. So they did. So now it's Monday night. They tested it when they were here and said it worked. Ok, well you didn't run a full cycle though, how do you know. Ok, whatever. So here I am Monday night deciding to do laundry as I didn't feel like it over the weekend. I put a load in and go back to what I was doing. I go back after an hour to put it in the dryer. The damn washer paused itself only a few minutes into the load, and stopped. It eventually got through the detergent, but never released the softner, and didn't spin, or drain the water. Everytime I tried a different setting, it would shut itself off. I unplugged it, and ran the rinse/drain cycle, and it worked, but it won't wash a full cycle. So here I am sitting here at almost 4am pissed beyond belief. Oh not to mention each time the delivery guys have been here, they have scraped up the linolium floor in the kitchen, that now has big marks and rips in it. Of course we will get in trouble with the apartment. So now as I sit here searching for corporate, and reading all this crappy reviews, I thought to myself, "Man I should have read the reviews before going through this." I just wanted a washer and dryer. And here I was planning on going and getting a sectional couch from them this week too. Man am I glad I didn't go through with selling my couch. In a few hours when my fiance comes home from work, you better believe we are going to Aaron's with pictures in tow of the damage on the floor. They are either going to give us a newer...BRAND new model for the same price, or cheaper, or come and pick up this damn washer/dryer and give me my two payments back. Wow this was a long post. But I wanted everyone to know what I've been going through.

I rented a brandnew Sharp 70" LED, after 2 days i got dead pixels so they replaced it the next day. The replacement that they gave me is even worst, this time the dead pixel is across the screen. 2 weeks have passed and until now theres no replacement! Manager is always saying all bunch of excuses. Pls help me!
I have been renting my stuff for awhile now over 6mos. and I recently lost my job:( So, I surrendered my stuff! I had the new Toshiba tablet along with the bunk beds. Not only did I go threw two tablets the sent me bunk beds that had no support for the beds! Okay, no problem this can be fixed. I have always keep in communication with them and have been completely honest and always paid my payments on time. Well, when I called Ben at the Anderson store on 28 bypass in SC and told him about my job and that they can come get there things I got the complete run around and he kept telling me he would be in contact with a store closer to me cause I had relocated. So, it has now been 2 weeks and I took it upon myself to call the stores he said he was calling and they had no ides what I was talking about!! There all a bunch of idiots and not only am I writing this I will be writing corporate a very nasty letter to let them know of how there stores are handling there customers!!! If this would have been a situation were it was a repo they would have been here already busting down the door and calling everyone and there mothers!! See what it is...they are waiting till the 15th so they add another month to my final bill!! ASSHOLES!!!
I got a laptoP from Aaron's in conyers Georgia I took the laptop back up there and told them that I wanted to return it because I had got paid off from work and they guy told me that I couldn't return the laptop I was mad as crap also they won't stop calling me or my references and it's recalling annoying they called me last night saying if I don't pay them they are going to report me to rock dale county police and say I stole the stuff wow really ? aren't they suppose to come to my house and pick up the stuff not call the police on me but I will never do buissness with aarons ever again
Aarons is in it to make money PLAIN AND SIMPLE. They do nothing different than any other business. Think about a resturaunt that has a cheese burger meal for $9.99, you could make 3 or 4 of the same meals for that price but you are paying for the convenience. Just like aarons, if you had the money to by it outright you wouldnt be in there but since you dont it is convenient to go finance it. As for the goofball who was completely unaware of the fact aarons charges finance fees, I would suggest rereading your contract. My contract on my TV and Washer/Dryer shows cash price and finance charges. They are there and always have been and as long as there is a demand for people financing things it will always be there. Why wouldnt there be finance charges? When you buy a house is there finance charges? YES. When you buy a car are there charges? YES. Why would this be any different? Everyone bitching about service should just return their stuff and go to RAC. There is no point in staying with them if you cant deal with them. Half the complainers though, are just people who bitch about anything for no reason.
Just a question... This place doesn't run credit checks they are goings only on your good word. I rent from them but only bc I want my credit better not because I can't afford anywhere else... If you are 2-3 months behind on payment then I'd say they have every right to harass.. Our store told us after 30 days of being behind they come pick it up.. Which is expected. I'm in va and this store jut opened, they delivered it within 2 hours of our leaving of the store, put the tv and fireplace together and setup, showed us how to work it and we're awesome!! You get out of them what you give.. You don't pay like anyone else, they will get moody and call... That's the point of a no credit check renting center!!!!
My first item through Aarons was a buy and pay in full within the same as cash term. I did this and recieved gold member the same day. I purchased a couch, loveseat and area rug the same day and put $200 cash down. I waited over 8 hours for delivery before giving up. When they finally showed up 8pm I sent them away. I no longer wanted the items, since my time seemed so invaluable to them. I did not do errands, shower or make dinner waiting for this delivery. I then proceded to cancel the purchase a few days later. I asked for a refund in form of a mail check. I was told since I put it on my debit it HAD to be refunded that way. My guess is being I was pushed, I pushed the manager as well, as he became rude and refused to refund me unless I came into the store. I went online and put in a complaint 3 times, and called corporate 3x. No one has ever answered either my complaint via online or phone. I'll be contacting the BBB, as I've never seen such poor customer service from not just my local store but all other areas.
I got a tv from the aarons in Ft.Stockton,TX and we started having problems with them the very first month. We are from a small town outside of Ft. Stockton, so they made us sign a paper that they would have to debit our account automatically each month. We didn't see a problem with that until we started getting harassing phone calls saying our payment is late. After 4 months of getting these phone calls, I finally talked to the manager. He seemed understanding and apologized. Since they still arent debiting our account, they now are saying we are 2 months behind and owe $300. Last time I checked $99.99+$99.99=199.98. They threatened my husband and cussed at him. These people who work there are lazy and dont take the time to look to look at your account. I will NEVER get anything from aarons again. Th emanager Steven is a douchebag!!
I have had my TV for along time and I have 8 more payments left. The beginning of January I made my monthly payment. I did not include the late fee of 5.00. Two weeks after I made the payment I started getting phone calls and I talked to the store personel. He looked up my record and said yes it was over 5.00. They continued to call me and my references, they even went as far as to come to my house. I called the manager last evening and he said you have late fee that have total's 25.00. Can you believe this, so my new payment is due now, and my normal payment is 72.00, he tells me I owe 90.80, 72 from 90 is not 25 dollars behind. This is bad business and a bad way to treat customers that have been with them for a long time. The TV that I have was used to begin with when I got, and I have enough to have buyed 3 TV's by and new ones at that. This is bad business and poor customer service. I will not rent from here again and I will not recommend anyone else to. I have learned my lesson, if I can't buy anything with cash I will just do without.
The manager over the Starkville ms store is a complete joke!!! She is trashy and has absolutely NO customer service skills!!! She really needs to watch how she says things to people. She has no clue of how to do her job!! She is very unprofessional. I'm pretty sure that Aaron's was desperate in hiring her. Almost every time I'm in there she is yelling about something. She makes everyone disgusted and miserable. I have even seen potential people leave because of her attitude. The whole time I was in there looking, she stayed at her desk and kept talking about Facebook. I will never be a coustomer of Aaron's again and I will tell everyone to steer clear! Unless of course that thing u call a manager is removed!!!
well i have returned something to one arrons and i got it from another were i got it from said i could take it back to that store just to have the manager from the store i returned it to call him he did but now i am getting calls about i owe 200 plus dollars and they r gonna charge off what does this mean and how stupid is arrons
I got a job at Aarons because I was laid off of my other job and as a single mom, I needed work. I didn't realize what a conundrum I had gotten myself into though. It was so bad at the first store I was at because the manager was calling me names like "moron, idiot, slow (not physically slow), etc." So I was transferred to a different store. Much to my dismay, that store wasn't any better. The horrible language and graphic conversations would make me so uncomfortable. I let them know it, and they would do it more and just laugh becaue they knew it bothered me. I would drive home crying every night. Then I had had enough and contacted corp headquarters. They said they would interview each employee (the biggest culprit was the GM). After they interviewed them, they said they found no grounds for sexual harrassment. (sexual harrassment can just be employees talking about sex or in a sexual nature - it does not have to be anyone soliciting for sex.) So, they asked me when I was going back to work. I said, "I cannot work for an immoral company such as yours." And never went back. Now, tax season, and they're giving me a run-around about my W2's. They will play Angry Birds on their phones before they help customers. They treat customers like pigs and are the most unethical, unprofessional company I ever had the displeasure of working with in my LIFE! The posts I have read, I have witnessed with my own eyes over and over again. It is their tactic to make it seem like it was the customer's fault. It is such a shame. It is SO wrong.
I started renting from aarons two years ago and yes it was to build my credit pluse i needed the stuff,I paid off my bedroom funiture and my computer but with harressment every month right after the due date,They lied about warrenty on beds and the mattress is the worst it started falling in the middle after one year,I deal with the Aarons in Knoxville Tennessee on noris freeway,Don is the manager who talks to you like your stupid and when you tell him you will call back in a couple of days to let him know if you can pat he puts down that you promised a payment,I have three more payments with this dumbass company and never again.to be harressed every month by them is un proffesional.
