We purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator from the Aaron's store in Bryan, Texas. Never in my life have I been so disgusted with a company, the staff/management at the local store, their business practices and the very poor work ethic of those in their employ. We had a problem with the door closing properly and something with the ice maker was not connected properly, on the inside. We called to have them pick it up for service. they never called to say when they were coming, they just showed up. The store sent 2 young guys. The newerr one stayed outside and the more experienced one put it on the dollie and took it through thee front door. I was behind hiim, holding the front screen door open. We heard a loud noise and it turned out that he ripped the door handle off, inside and out, and on the way down the drive way, almost missed hitting my husband's Mercedes Benz. We all looked at the door and saw what happened. My husband called the store to complain and the managetr he talked to told him that the employee said my husband himself pushed him out the door, causing the door handle to fall off. I was furious when I heard this because all of us know what really happened. After several calls, they said they needed a receipt in order to reimburse us for the door. Nothing was done to the employee who lied. We paid for the door and didn't bother with anymore headache from them, and the handle was about $12.00. We got a loaner from them that the delivery men refused to hook up because it wasn't their ploicy. I had to wait till my husband got home so he could do it. Our refigerator was gone for over a month. We have a friend who owns a resale shop and works on refigerators told us that no one in this area services Samsung appliances, so we assumed they must be sending our refrigerator to Houston. After a month and a half, we got a call that our refrigerator was back and we needed to schedule delivery time. Then we were told that it would be between 12-5 on May 8, 2012. They delivered it and left. When my hussband opened the door, there was mold growing on the shelvees and doors. There was some kind of brown water in the bottom drawer of the freezer, and it was crawling with maggots and roaches. My husband got it outside right way, scraped off some of the roaches on the outside of the drawer and killed them. Both of us were stunned...and then the anger set in. We took pictures and then my husband called the store to complain. A Mr. Fox, from the Bryan,Texas store seemed to listen, but had nothing to offer in the way of a resolution. When my husband told him about the picctures we took, the maggots, mold and roaches, he said he had customers in the store. Our understanding was that the two delivery guys were supposed to come back and CLEAN it. What ever that means. I certainly wouldn't trust those two guys to clean anything adequately, with roaches having been present. How can you be sure you got everything?? Eggs?? We mulled this over and my husband called corporate offices in Georgia, and explained what happened. All of it. And he was told that an area manager would call him back WITHIN 48 HOURS!!!!! Hello!!!We have no fridge here, and food going bad!!! Our plan is to tell them if they show up that we want them to take it away. I no longer want it in my house. I would have thought that comiong back from the factory it would have been checked inside and wrapped in a plastic seal. Hhell, some of the repairs needed to be done on the inside anyway. My husband was told that the wrapping was removed at the local store here before bringing it to our house. Yes, they removed the plastic wrapping from the service department but didn't bother to look in and see the infestation???? I think the delivery guys knew it looked like that. We are still waiting for them to show up and it's after 5 pm. We are also still waiting for someone for corporate to call. This is one of the most shoddy businesses I have ever seen, and I am ashamed I dealt with them at all. I will be calling my attorney about this issue because I do not believe Aaron's is going to step up to the table and do the right thing. I have already had to throw some food items away. I cannot understand how other deliveries are more important than us sitting here losing food and having to deal with a filthy mess like this. I will never purchase anything from there ever again. I highly advise anyone who is choosing this kind of purchase method, to do a background check on the local store, read and pay attention to the reviews. We aren't lying folks.

Thank you to everyone who's shared their experiences they've had with Aarons. I was giving serious thought to leasing a television, but not now. I don't want to be stuck paying for crappy products and have thugs showing up at my door. To the disabled man that was assaulted by that Aarons rep, I really hope he gets what he deserves, I was shocked and disgusted after reading that thread. But thank you to all for sharing:)

I worked for Aarons for years and realized how crooked and unethical the management is in east Texas. Mid American Opps is poorly ran and so is the regional mgr for east Texas. I know first hand the crooked things Aarons corporate does and hope someone figures this all out very soon. Franchise Aarons is pretty good but corporate Aarons is very crooked and political!!!!!

The store in Waterbury CT called my persinal references after only one day late and told them i need to make my payment. That is against the law to give out that imformation to a third party. I did mot give permission for them to discuss my account with some one else. I will report them to the states attorney office and the federal trade comission. They hire managers that are unprofessional and do mot lnow the laws.

this store here in la junta colorado is by far the worst store i have ever been to in my life i personaly think that all the arons stores should be shut down they treat people so bad they are nice and help full when you first walk in but after you sign the papers there true colors come out i would much raher go to rent a center at least they treat you better they have no idea how to treat there custermers thats why so many of there custermers drop them

Dealing with many issues with Aaron's sales and lease here in Spokane Wa, I am close to just returning my items. When I first got the furniture set, I was super excited. couldn't wait to have something that was no longer 25 years old (dresser). I was stoked to be buying my own furniture. But it soon turned into a nightmare. I got the furniture, a few days after I Had set up the deal. two end tables,a men's and women's dresser and bed and frame with headboard. I got the dressers intact, no issues. The end tables and headboard were broken. the headboard looked like they purposely gashed it out, and to my astonishment, they brought it out broken like that. I was furious, I called the store only to find out that they would be reordering my items. I got the new headboard a week and a half later. but still no end tables. I Had to switch stores to even get those. to make it worse, they lost paperwork, so I had to resign. Also the manager at the new store, noticed they put down two baseboards. so it was all a mess. I have also noticed that my television set is going out, its got a line down the picture. which means its faulty and needs repaired. I have tried calling on this and got told it was a cable issue. well today finally after pulling teeth, which I Have waited for a week mind you, I finally got one of the guys to come out and sure enough...low and behold I finally had someone come take a look at the television and his exact words were "yep its your television,its going out" so, after that he tells me they will need to contact me over the television. which to again my astonishment, they didn't even bring a replacement. So I called the store to find out how long it would take,and still no call or nothing back. I am fed up, and highly done with Aaron's. I will never buy from them again!! PERIOD!

I have spent alot of money renting to own furniture with Aarons. Everything is paid off except for my sofa. I went there today because I needed a new refrigerator. They refused my business. They told me they wouldn't rent the refrigerator to me because they think I won't make the payments. Despite the fact that I had already bought a dining room table,television,and yes a refrigerator. The only thing I am still making payments on is a sofa set. I have a couple of late payments but, I have always made the payments. For them to disrespect me like that has not only dicouraged me from ever buying anything from them again, I will be spreading the word to everyone I know and even those I don't know not to EVER rent anything from Aarons. They are the most unprofessional rude,direspectful people I have ever met. What I want to know is how their corporare office sit back and allow this to happen or maybe corporate trains their staff to be ASSHOLES! I think you should seriously think about going on undercover boss so you can see for yourself.

i am so disappointed with Aarons, i tried to explain to them i just came back from out of town and i received a voicemail sayin my payment was late , when i had told them a month before if they could change my payment date to the 15th instead of the 1st and they didnt change it and the man was very rude and said he had nothing to do with it because he had never spoken to me before. VERY RUDE and supposedly he was the accounts manager.. what kinda shitty service is that.... DUH I understand that but ur fellow employees should of made a change or note on my account... he had no customer service skills and all he was worried about was getting a payment.. I can't put into word how much this company should be put out of business. So being brief. I have bought a few thing's over the years but when I had 2 months left on my tv. It started having problems they then had my tv for months it came back not fixed and on top of that it looked like someone took sandpaper to it. I was so pissed I called everybody possible no help and oh yeah the management out of courtesy payed off my last month of my lease with no notice and now I'm stuck with a broken tv because the aarons warranty. expired and go to find out I bought the tv in 2010 its a 2008 model dated. ARRONS IS A RIP OFF STAY AWAY. BLASE POPIK LOS BANOS CA.

I was 1 week late on my payment, and 2 large men showed up at my door. One of which was carring a weapon and waved it around to collect their payment. I took it to the store manager and the regional manager who both justified his actions, and saw nothing wrong, said it was in case a dog came at him. I don't own a dog. Attempted to call corprate but had to leave a message. Now I am taking it to the police, I want to give all customers warning of this!!!!!!!!!

I cant believe everything i am reading,i just got a bed and box spring,plus a living room set from Aaron's in new london on colman st.I had nothing but bullshit from the jump,first they forgot our bed when they knew we donated all our stuff to people who were less foruntate then us.then we ordered new stuff our living room set was scratched to shit.so we had to wait a week for new items and they gave us a loaner queen till our king came in.i was home for tghe first delivery well the second my fiance was there since i was at work.well one of the delivery drivers decided to start bad mouthing all the staff at his store then proceeded to tell my fiance how one girl quit because he gave her a bar of soap cause they could smell her private area.MY FIANCE WAS SHOCKED AND TOLD HIM SHE DIDNT TO HEAR THIS AND TO STOP.well needless to say i wanted to have a few words with this guy,but i decided instead of me getting arrested i would call the manager,the ONLY person i have delt with in that store who is professional is the manager Steve,he took care of the situation and we have gotten free monthes due to this behavior.and the employee is on a finbal written warning,i didnt want him fired i said i dont want to cause nebody to loose there job.But if you are in new london,ct i would strongly suggest you deal with steve and only steve from this store....

I live in Fresno,ca and I got a new desktop computer from Aarons and what a mess it has been..I did get behind with payments and then he started checking out my busIness and called the previous owner and that was wrong...The manager is named Charles and he is such an ASS hole....He came to my door and pounded on my door like he was the police or something...He told me that he was going to come pound on my door at 12:30 at night and I told him just try it...He is a bad manager... I'm waiting for him to come back to my door..I have a surprise for him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A VERY BAD STORE WITH SHITTY STUFF

Too bad there is no zero stars..... i have never in my life been treated the way i am treated at the PARIS TENNESSEE store the so called manager treats you like dirt under his shoe i i willnot be treated this way anymore. I called them from my hospital bed after having cancer removal surgery. Did they care? NOPE!!!! all i got was "when can tyou make your payment" This place has no customer service skills and they surely have no idea what compassion and care is.

This is for the Aaron's store in Oxnard, CA. located on Ventura Road....Store owner Lisa and Mgr. Eric....I have baught several items from this store no problem but my latest item from this store is my broken down sectional that I am still paying on....I have made many phone calls to Lisa, I have gone into the store to speak with Lisa and Eric and I have left many msgs with the staff in that store regarding my broken down sectional. Within the first few months of purchasing this sectional the springs came out of the sofa and the two attached recliners tip (what a safety hazard)No one can sit on the recliners because they tip over. I have continued to make my payments and I continue to call the store but no luck with any return phone calls and for some reason or another no Lisa or Eric are available when I call to speak with one of them. I do NOT recomend this store to anybody,next time I will go to a REAL FURNITURE STORE.. STILL WAITING AND VERY FRUSTRATED WITH THIS STORE....

i went in a store to purchase a washer and dryer and the sales manager was rude she walked right past me making a remark about mexicans i guess she thought i didnt speak english she ignored me as a customer the csr that was working there got all my information made things right apologized for how i was treated by her sales manager the funny part is that the csr come to find out walked out because the sales manager was getting credit and great reviews by the regional and she didnt do anything in the store but sit there and make out with her husband when he would take her pain medication the csr was underpaid as much of us are and now they gave the sales manager the csrs job since she left so that sm is making more than your average csr she told the csr she was making 10 an hr but you know if i hadnt invested money in my washer and dryer i would take it back just because how aarons lets people be racist when you walk in and ignore you if that csr hadnt treated me with respect the way she had i wouldnt have done business with them its ashame that the csr lost her job because aarons let a sm that didnt do her own job do anything she wanted and asked the csr to apologize to the sm and do the sm job plus her own and then the gm walked out because he said his conscience wouldnt let him write everyone else up when the sm wasnt allowed to be written up the sm even walked out on the job and was allowed to do so and go back to work the next day.what kind of company is this they rip you off because not even a credit card makes you pay so much in interest you pay more than double your pay more than double when you do the 129 day same as cash. for instance my brother in law had a xbox and kinnect bundle if he did the 120 day same as cash he was going to pay 700 when you can go and get the same bundle for 300 after taxes at any store this companies a joke

my wife and i have been loyal customers for more than 14 years. we have had a few small ups and downs over the years! but it was always takin care of fast. 10 years ago i would have gave you a 5 star!! today!!! no star!!!!!! my wife and i needed another computer! so as a great customer would do i went to AARONS and got a computer and also a x box, well we got home and the computer didnt work! drove back to store again and they found the battery to be bad! they orderd one! and said 2 weeks! still dont have! month and half later! well 2 weeks ago your store called me to pay my monthly bill. i asked for batt. they said it hasnt come in ! well in that month we had to keep the computer pluged in to use it. every time we use it it says mem full so we would have to restart comp. 10 times a 4 hr period! so when the lady from arrons called me i told her that i discoverd the comp. was more than 4 yrs old and no batt. not paying for 4 year old comp! didnt use more than 1 time! SHE SAID THAT WAS THE ONE I WANTED AND NOTHING SHE COULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. well i said i was not going to pay for and told them to pick up!! STILL SITTING HERE 2 WEEKS PAST DUE AND THEY CALLED TODAY!!! AND MY WIFE ANSWERED THE PHONE! THEY ACTUALY WANTED US TO PAY! WIFE SAID TO PICK UP! THEY SAID WE DONT PICK UP COMPUTERS AND X BOXES AND THEY WOULD NEED A PAYMENT! ARE YOU SERIOUS! MY WIFE HUNG UP ON THEM! WELL THEY CALLED BACK AND SAID PAY OR BRING IN! AND HUNG UP ON HER! Today,Brett, the store manager and I made an agreement for me to pay my account on April 18, 2012 at 8:15 in the morning when he gets in. He claims I did not pay the March payment, which I did, at the corporate 800 office because the East Ridge Road Store keeps threatening me if the payment are even 2 days overdue. When I leased the laptop for my daughter, I made it very clear that I am on SSD and get paid the 3rd Wednesday of every month. This was more than satisfactory at the time. They have sent out three " associates" as Brett refers to them. I had to call your corporate office once before and talked with an administrator about the harrassment, refusal to leave my apartment doorstep, or stop ringing the bell.I have had to call the Rochester City Police Department twice in the last two days. Today another man appeared, in an Aaron's truck and did the same thing, even after Brett and I had a nice professional agreement when the money would be paid next week. He later admitted that he forgot to tell him not to stop at my place and his " associate", really a common thug, even had a cell phone and was in contact with him. I lost my temper and went out my front door which the man was blocking and he assaulted me, dragged me out into the street and through me to the ground. I sustained a severe contusion of my right knee. My wife witnessed the whole thing and had to jump in the middle of the man from injuring me further as he was approaching me on the ground, with the wind knocked out of me. I am 100% disabled because of Corony Heart Disease and I am 63 years old and he was approximately 25. The Aaron's associate went a quarter mile to the other side of the complex and solicited two witnesses, that,he got to sa I was the aggressor and they arrested me. I have contacted a criminal defense attorney John LaDucaEsq., the best in Rochester, and this matter is not over. You are an illicate company with hundred of complaints from customer's because of your highly unprofessional conduct with them. I am an upstanding citizen and have never been arrested for Harrassment before. I luckily, got an appearance ticket for next Wednesday at 9am. My wife will be present to testify about this lying man's sociopathic behavior. I am a semi-retired Licensed Mental Health Counselor at this time and have even worked with the Attorney General's Office for 10+ years for the criminally insane, for probation and paroled convicts. I am well versed in the law and know many people that will flatten your corrupt business. I have already talked with the Rochester TV news media about the incident. i would like to let your office know that me and my best friend howard kinser do all our buying at the Aarons store here in eugene oregon on west eleventh and that everyone that works at that store treat us with the utmost respect and that each and everyone of those employees are a great bunch of people.and they treat everyone the same and we believe that they should be commended for all the great work they do in keeping their store clean and neat but all in all they are a great group of employees and they should as i said be commended for all the hard work that they do. thank you kindly. robert mortimer and howard kinser.

i have been with aarons for four years,I recently got my daughter a 60 inch television that was stolen from her home, a police report was made.Because i rented it in my name, they were trying to pick up my t.v. because my daughter wouldnt pay for her merchandise that was stolen.I just payed off my p.c. a few weeks ago and still paying on my t.v. I tried to rent a dinette set and they wouldnt let me because of that incident,so my daughter in law tried to rent the dinette set,they said because she live with me that she or no one at that this address can rent anything because my daughter signed off on the account. they also took her off of my account and put her on her own, the t.v. was never delivered too my home it went to hers, so their holding me responsible for her not paying for stolen merchandise. If you need help give up because they all work together all around the world.Their gonna always be right. all i can say is their a ripoff anyway.Also i was in the hospital the doctor had gave me up, the lady named erica persistantly called to the hospital looking for payments,,was i supposed to take out my i v's and leave the hospital to go pay them?

Let me start off by saying that I have been a loyal customer of aarons for 4 years now, I have referred my family and friends as well. This last experience, however, will be my last. About 9 months ago I got an entire living room set from Aarons, everything was great! About 2 months in to the lease, I noticed that both sofa's were starting sink. I thought to myself that, that was not normal at all for new furniture. I call and come to find out, the set was used (that why it was 149 a month instead of 169)! They could have told us that in the beginning. I paid my payment and let it go. A couple of weeks later, the loveseat ripped, then the sofa ripped. I called them "we will send our guy out to take a look". I said ok and made the monthly payment. Another month, nothing-no contact, AGAIN they told me they would take care of it. Finally 3 months later, they just decided to replace both peices. Fine, they came out gave me a brand new set, Great! Then another 2 months go by and and the loveseat ripps in the EXACT SAME SPOTS as the last time as well as the sofa. I called and they said once again they would send someone out. He comes out within a few days (to my suprise), takes some pictures and then says someone will contact us from the store. A week later, still no contact, I call and they have the audacity to tell me it was my animals because we were keeping blankets on the sofa's and that I would have to pay the cost to fix them. Well JackA** were are keeping blankets on the sofa's becuase THEY ARE RIPPED. Not to mention we keep our dogs in crates when were are not home. Also, if it was MY fault I would have just fixed it myself because you guys take forever!!!! It wasnt until my fiancee called them cussing them out that they told me that they would do whatever they could to keep me as a customer and that they were sorry. I opted to have thier furniture guy come out and replace the peices that were ripped. Now 2 months later, NOTHING, no contact from anybody and this will be another payment that I will make for ripped and crappy furniture that they do nothing about.
