I did not have the option of choosing a ZERO rating for Aarons in Johnson City, Tennessee, but if I did that's what it would have been! I made an agreement over the phone with (a person who identified themselves as the general manager) to purchase a used laptop for a payment of $68.00 a month, I told this person I wanted to make sure that would be my payment WITH TAXES AND SERVICE CHARGE INCLUDED AND I WAS TOLD YES that would be my payment each month. I could not go into the store and needed that laptop delivered to my home, so when it was delivered I was caught out in my yard and I did not have my reading glasses on but I was told by the delivery people that they were in a RUSH and they assured me the paperwork was just as I had discussed with this "general manager" on the phone. After getting the laptop inside and being able to look it over, it had FUC scratched into the screen, also a burned place beside of the mouse (looked like someone put a cigarette out on it!), the 3.0 port on the side has a prong broken off inside it (which made it impossible for me to use that port) then when I went to put a disc in the discdrive the whole drive fell out in the floor. I tried to talk to the General Manager about all of these problems (to date I have been told by 5(five)people that they were The General Manager) each one of these people called me a liar and said they would not have sold me a laptop in that condition! Then I ran into financial problems (LIKE A LOT OF PEOPLE NOWADAYS ARE HAVING) and I was unable to make my payment, so asked for an extension, they allowed me 1 (one)extension. I was unable to make a payment for a 2nd (second) month, I was told I would have to return this laptop. When I called in to make a payment I was told I had to make a double payment, and I told them I was not able to pay double payment,that I could only make a regular payment, then I was told I would have to return the "equipment" in spite of the fact that I have already paid half of the agreed purchase price, meaning I would lose all of the money I had already invested into this "equipment" (even with all of these problems). I asked another GENERAL MANAGER to allow me time to catch up or to have all of my information erased from the harddrive and they denied me saying I had to return the equipment immediately!!! Come on "Aarons" is that really how you do business and treat your customers???? I will never buy anything from your company again! Thank's for nothing
My low rating is not for the store personnel, rather for the way Aaron's takes care of its business. I posted my concern on the Aaron's Corporate webpage, where customers are given an opportunity to get "help" from someone on a decision making level. Now I know why you have to post concerns. They don't want to speak to customers, let alone do something about it. I received a computer generated response that I would receive a response within 24 hours. That was almost a week ago. I see why there are so many negative reviews. My issue had to do with nightstands that I purchased about 8 months ago. The surface of both nightstands started peeling and warping. I called the Aaron's where I made my purchase and the person who deals with problems was very kind and helpful. He immediately sent a truck out to pick up my nightstands. He called me to tell me that the furniture repair company they contracted with had to do the repair. The man who he was in contact with said it was water damage and fingernail polish damage. I assured the customer service rep that it wasn't that simple. And the irony of both end tables having the same problem suggested the quality was inferior. Three weeks later I contacted him to find out when my nightstands would be returned. He said they were still in the store. The furniture repair person didn't know how to repair veneer and would not return his calls. I couldn't believe that a big company like Aaron's would contract with a furniture repair company that didn't know how to repair furniture and would not return calls. I told him that this was a terrible way to do business, being at the mercy of a repair company when there are so many others who would love to have a contract with Aaron's. In the meantime, I'm paying for these each month. The corporate office is here in Atlanta, where I live and where I purchased my furniture. No one saw fit to call me or even email me about this. After 10 years of being a very good customer of Aaron's, I am finished. I have referred others to Aaron's, who have also become loyal customers. I won't make that mistake again!
we are buying front loader washer and dryer from Aarons. The washing machine started giving problems we contact the store manger several times and cant get him to call back. So we made a trip to the store and talked to him he said he would contact somebody to fix it. We had to call back and find out what was taking so long to get somebody to look at it. He said again let me call and see when they can come out. Someone came out to look at it and said it needed a new part. So we are still waiting to get it fixed its been over a month now. They call several times a day EVERY DAY wanting their payment. I told them they are not getting another payment till my washer is fixed, why pay for something I cant use and they will not discuss why it is taking so long or what is going on. Getting ready to call Action 9. My 7 year old could run a store better than these people. Contacted headquarters also lets see if I get a call back from them.
I purchased a refrigerator from Aaron's that stopped cooling/freezing near the end of my contract (2 months left)...they sent someone from a contracted vendor to service it. He stated the part needed to be ordered for this 1 1/2 year old appliance...Aaron's picked it up the next day and brought a loaner to me. Not only did THEIR service provider keep the frig for 18 days....I had to do follow up calls just to get the frig I was "paying for" back into my possession. Now, here it is I've had the frig back in my home less than three weeks and its broken AGAIN. Same problem! Called yesterday afternoon and left a message for the manager. I did NOT get a call by the end of the business day, so I called back this afternoon (BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE). SHE explained that they no longer use the service provider that repaired the frig, (obviously the contract was terminated bcuz they didnt meet their standards), but will pick the frig up "sometime" tomorrow and that I CAN NOT get a loaner frig while the "REPAIRED" frig is being "REPAIRED". WHY? She indignantly said, "BCUZ ITS STORE POLICY THAT IF YOUR ACCOUNT IS PAID OUT WE DONT GIVE OUT LOANERS".... Sooooo, they drafted my account on time monthly without fail, but can't provide QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CARE...for a valued customer?? My last payment was drafted March 15, 2012...really Aaron's....it's not like I asked you to REPLACE the appliance....I asked for a loaner while it was being repaired, AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OAN: The MANAGER...was rude, unhelpful, and not to mention unprofessional...next time make sure you hang up the phone before you refer to a customer as a "Stupid B@tch".
I have rented from AARON'S for a while now, so I get down to my last payment and instead of the Store waiting for me to come in to pay....I Learn that one of the Managers had come to my home to collect and had to make an imprint of my credit card, So they or he decided to keep my whole credit card number on file which is a breach of my privacy. And without my knowledge he decided to charge the payment on my credit card without my knowledge. Which I personally think is theft from my account. When I called the home office they told them that I had signed a form to authorize the last payment, but when I arrived at the store, there was no such document. I think the Home Office should do something with the managers that are taking it on themselves to go into the bank accounts od customers without their knowledge. I tried to stress that everybody is not honest and no one need to have their whole card on file at any facility. THEY ARE NOT HONEST????????? This leads me to believe thay are CROOKS at AARON's
If only I had looked at all these complaints before I went to Aarons! If you're looking for convenience you're in the wrong place! I can't get a straight answer or anyone to call me back about my agreement! Or should I say one agreement which has now turned into two! The first bed I purchased was hard as a rock! They picked it up and brought another which they ripped while taking off the plastic. So they had to bring another. They gave us a time to meet them but arrived 15 min. earlier and were leaving when my husband got there. Now they haven't put the money from the first bed on the second one. All I want to know is how much do I owe so I can be done with them and I'll never go there again!
Man! If I could, I would rate AARON'S way less than a 1!!!! You all have stories that are unbelievable. I bought something from Aaron's in Fairfield, CA, and these are the worse human beings you can ever work with. I agree with all of you...no profressionalism, no etiquette, and no knowledge of the Consumer's Rights Law. I called them knowing that I was going to be a few days late because I was on a business trip. Along with the non-stop calling, I arrived with the news of them coming to my apartment complex, pounding on the door, yelling outside for all my neighbors to hear, scaring my children. This is appalling and very unprofessional. In addition, the next visit they made to my house, I spoke to this person, and after giving him the payment, he had the nerve to ask if I had a boyfriend, and if he could call me sometime to go out. I, of course, decline, and told him that it was very unprofessional. Soon after, I got non-stop calls and text messages from him late in the evening, and made visits to my house and workplace on his off time. I reported this to his manager, and I couldn't believe the response I received from him. Additionally, I asked him nicely, if he could please have this certain individual stop contacting me, informing him that this person has tried to call me past midnight on several occasions. I am afraid and very insulted. His response was, "Oh okay." What the.....?!?!?! Since then I have been scared of coming home thinking that these people are waiting outside. It disgusts me to know that these people have no sense of professionalism or customer service. I will never ever purchase anything from AARON'S again.
Aarons, is the WORSEST business in the WORLD to deal with..they have not customer etiquette or RESPECT unless you are coming in for the first time purchasing something and then they are sweet as hell. I have been paying on my account faithfully until my job went out I got a month behind in my payment and now they sending people out to my house and calling like crazy, the manager Mike is very disrespectful and is not customer-oriented. I have tried to pay what I can and he dont even want at least some payment....basically, I am saying the HELL with you Mike.......I will never get nothing else from you all, not even a piece of candy and then the workers they got working for them is pitiful...they dont have no customer service or respect for customers either....all I can say is BAD BUSINESS!!
March 20,2012 Ha you guys think your stories are bad, listen to this mine. So my grandpa die last Sunday and i had to fly out to Indiana for my family then came to my house last Friday cause my payment was late i give the guy who came to my house my Card number I'm a idiot so they call me on Saturday saying my card was decline i guess someone been using my card. whats the odds i give this guy who works there and i missing money now. So I'm in Indiana at my grandpa funeral they have the nerves to blow up my phone that whole day telling i need to call them back asap i already told them the day before the funeral that ill be at the funeral and do not call me and what do they???? Call me 6 times are you kidding me cause I'm late of 126.00 really..... they don't know how to treat anyone with any respect even there employees. I am police officer no respect to me and or my family. Still missing money from my account and i'm pissed off to the max i don't know what to do. I rented in the groton ct arrons store a living room set and washer/Dryer Set. I have never in my life felt like i was treated like dirt. They were late delivering my items and scratched up my sofa. It took them 3 months to pick it up and supposely fix it. they brang it back 2 weeks later worst than it left. The bottom part was messed up, the took the under cover and put it back a mess. The back part of the sofa was broken, the scratch was never fixed. So i have no idea what they did. Then i called corporate and the person who i spoke with was Casey, he was like "i apologize for the inconveniences you have been going through it is unexceptable and i will make sure you are well taken care of" Yeah right. He sent some one over about 1 month after to fix the scratch, he did a good job. But im still waiting on the botom and back part to be fixed. I called again and he was not found for 2 weeks of calling. Im still waiting and verry frustrated with this furniture store.
I have never been treate worse by a store. We spent about an hour in store waiting for an associate then signing the agreement we paid the money for the first payment and were promised the tv would be here in the morning on Thursday which was 5 days ahead they did not get here until the evening and when they did they asked for more paperwork thatseemed it wouldn't be necessary but gave to them they then began setting up the tv when an associate called and tol him not to because something hadn't gone right. They should have had all of the paperwork done the 5 days before the tv was to be delivered the manager of the Victorville store then acted so rude to me and my mother in law I couldn't believe any body would run a store that way. Once again worst service I have ever had. I will ne'er again shop at aarons.
I BEGAN A LEASE TO OWN AGREEMENT WITH AARONS IN NOVEMBER 2011. I SPENT OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF AT THE AARONS LOCATION ON N. LAMAR IN AUSTIN, TX. I HAD ALREADY CALLED AHEAD TO CONFIRM THAT THEY HAD THE PIECES I WAS LOOKING FOR AND BECAUSE IT WAS USED I WAS GOING TO SEE IT IN PERSON- THEY HAD ALREADY SOLD IT BUT ANOTHER STORE HAD A USED ONE IN. ALL TOGETHER FROM 3 DIFF STORES, I WAS GETTING A COMBINATION OF USED PIECES AND THEN ONE NEW OTTOMAN. FINALLY AFTER 90 MINUTES OF WAITING ON STORES TO "SEND IT OVER" IN THE COMPUTER IT WAS TIME FOR ME TO SIGN MY AGREEMENT AND MAKE A PAYMENT FOR MY SATURDAY DELIVERY (I WAS MOVING IN TO A NEW APT). WHEN REVIEWING AGREEMENT, I NOTICED THE PRICES HAD CHANGED TO REFLECT NEW FURNITURE ALTHOUGH THE OLD FURNITURE WAS LISTED. THE MANAGER APOLOGIZED AGAIN AND SAID SHE WOULD FIX IT, AND WOULD SEND THE AGREEMENT TO HAVE ME SIGN IT UPON DELIVERY. SHE INSISTED THAT I HAD TO PAY MY FIRST PAYMENT IN ORDER FOR THEM TO STILL DELIVER AS PLANNED. I DID AND SET IT UP FOR 120 DAYS-SAME AS CASH. WHEN THE DELIVERY TEAM CAME- THEY DID NOT HAVE A COPY OF MY AGREEMENT BUT SAID I COULD VIEW ONLINE OR THE STORE COULD SEND IT IN THE MAIL. THIS NEVER HAPPENED. I HAVE MY HAND WRITTEN NOTES DOWN ON THE AARONS AD- AND THATS ALL. I HAVE CALLED AARONS ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS TO GET MY AGREEMENT- NO SUCH LUCK. WHEN I CALLED LAST WEEK TO GET THE REMAINING BALANCE ON MY SAME AS CASH AGREEMENT- THE SALES REP KEPT QUOTING ME THE OUTRAGEOUS DOLLAR AMOUNT WHICH WAS INCLUDING FINANCING CHARGES AND LEASE PRICE. I AM VERY ANXIOUS AS I COULDNT EVEN REFERENCE AN AGREEMENT- AND HAVE ALREADY PAID OVER $800 FOR THIS FURNITURE. ALSO LOOKING ONLINE, MY ACCT IS NOT UP TO DATE I PAID DOUBLE THE PAYMENT ON THE 15TH AND ITS SHOWING THAT I STILL OWE PAYMENT FOR FEB 15TH!!! I DONT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO- BUT I HAVENT SIGNED ANY AGREEMENT FOR A NEW PRICE- AND I EXPECT WHAT I ORDERED TO BE UPHELD AND AT LEAST SOME SORT OF QUALITY
Be careful what you buy, some items that are brought back from customers are filled with roaches and then a new customer takes it home with roaches; they don't get cleaned like you think. Don't buy used mattresses, they pick up mattresses from people who pass away on the mattress and resell them to unsuspecting customers. Finally be sure when you return an item be sure to get a signed receipt showing it was returned, some GM's have a habit of taking items home and leaving the customer with a bill. Who's going to believe a person who wasnt making their payment anyway, that is what the upper management will say.
I have been renting from Aaron's for over a year. I was a reference for a co worker and the co worker was playing the dodge and duck game. I was trying to help Arron's local store and communicating with coworker and get him to pay his bill. Now that it has been straight out the local store manager is being unfair harassing me and come to my house for no payment. I have paid may bills and working to pay my account off and he is threading me to take me merchandise and not working with me. I feel it's a direct hit toward me and i have filled A complaint against him with the local community as well as wrote a letter to the copr off direct to the CFO and waiting a call from the district manager for his region. Were do they find customer service people to worm for Arron's because they are unprofessional on the phone and aperience is unprofessional. When I asked to use my payment holiday I was told a lie then I was also told a lie about several other issues that was brought to my attention and contact my family lawyer and come to find out Arron's is untrue people, I am waiting for my taxes to hit so I can tell them to get there stuff and go purchases it for less amount and walk away. Rest assue this I will make sure anyone who is interesting in renting from Aaron's. I will give them my opinion and stir them away a fromq this manager of the store,and the employees that smell like smoke and alcohol at 9 am on a Saturday and the manager treating a people unfair and harassing others. All this stems from a reference and a co worker. I'm done playing nice with Arron's. They wills here from me and my lawyer for hurrasing me and my family.
I have purchased from Arron for years. Recently I had to send my stainless steel refrigerator for repair. Before my refrigerator was removed from my house I went over any damage to my frig. Which was very little, couple of scratched and two small dents made during delivery. I explained to them that, I did not wanted to damage when it was returned, I even went as far as marking the frig to make sure I was getting my refrigerator back. I was given a loaner refrigerator for a month, which I have to say was a lot smaller than my frig and every time we closed the bottom door the top would stay open. After a month I got my frig back and as soon as it was lowered from the retal truck I right away inspected it and to my surprise I notice right away the damage, scratch along the front of the door a couple of dent on the side of the doors, I was upset, I told the delivery staff I would not accept it and they called the ir office in floresville tx, I explain my concerns and he agree to cover the last two payments.. But after I was able to clean it and notice the real damage I was very, very angry and then I notice a small roach crawling out of the side door while it was open. So, I called the company once more a complained. Later that night after the lights had been off in the kitchen for a while, I went back for a cold glass of water and notice a dozen or more small roaches crawling around on the floor and inside the frig.. I was so upset I couldn't sleep that night. So today I decided to express my concerns about how Arrons damaged my appliance and return it infested with roach. So if I was asked how, I liked purchasing from Arron's I would have to give them a 1 rating..
I gave deposit for washer and dryer 7 days ago, where's my washer and dryer? I gave 150 dollars! Well you picked model on floor? And ? When you view items at stores your doing just that viewing! I want new in the box. This is not cool its taking advantage of customers kindness.
I bought and paid for a L500 series laptop within a years time from Aaron's. I then purchased 1 year extended warranty for 100.00. My computer messed up so I took it back to Aaron's for them to fix it. In the meantime while it's in their custody the Manager named Tessa dropped my computer and broke the casing and scratched it all up. She calls says they will will fix it. So I am like okay. well 2 months go by I still don't hear anything so I call up there well now the Managers name is Travis and he's says yea we have it and it's ready to be picked up. I get their to pick it up and they had super glued the pieces back on there. Talking about being pissed. Then I contacted corporate well Allen calls me and I have to fight with him 3 weeks to get anything done. I have adobe software on the computer that a paid a pretty penny for and he had the nerve to call me and ask for the serial number and I didn't give it to him. Then he calls adobe and acts like my boyfriend. How is that for a corporate manager? I think he needs to be fired. Then they order me a new computer he said it will only be bigger and better. Well I go to pick that up today and long behold guess what they downsized me from an L series which is more powerful and pretty to a C series that is just a basic ugly computer that they only paid 339.00 for. I did my homework and called Toshiba when i got home to find out that they screwed me out of GB and a bunch of other stuff my computer had. I DON'T RECOMMEND EASTLAND, TX. 76448 AARON'S TO NOBODY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCREWED AND GET JUNK. IT'S CALLED TO MANY MANAGERS AND POOR IF YOU ASK ME.
I am very Upset aarons customer servive. First I got a freezer and a box spring and mattress and it took them almost a week to deliver and they were still late. Now I wanted to return tge freezer because my ftidge is going out and I was getting a fridge and stove combo. I was scheduled for friday between 3-7 and i explain to Troy the manager I didnt care if they were running late cuz of the snow but i needed them that day because fridge was out and stove wasnt thete anymore. And i had freezer cleaned and ready by the front door that i even moved all my furniture out of the way so it should only take 15 mins. When i called Terry was nice enough to tell me that it would be first thing in the morning. When i called around 1030 am kyle said as soon as he comes as he gets in. Then i called again at 1130 and kyle said he already left and should be here anytime. I called again at 130pm and kyle said he is on the way. Now im no genious but ive been watching since 10am for the dude at my front window because with the stove gone amd food going bad in fridge its important that i got the stuff dibered asap. The delivery driver finally showed up and 230pm. First thing my butt. And what about my food and me and my children able to eat real food. Like i said terry and kyle were being nice but I like troy but he fell on the ball on this one and the delivery driver SUCKS. I hope this isnt how all my transactions with Aarons is gonna be. How i wish i could give Aarons a negative rating of course they wont offer that. Well this is my story. I went into Aarons to purchase a living room set with my husband and found a beautiful one that we wanted. The one on the floor was a used one and i told them i wanted a brand new one for the money we were going to be purchasing it for. I was told that was no problem that it would be in next week. Well next week i was told they would be there in 2 days to deliver our furniture around 5 pm. They never showed up. No phone call nothing. Then the next afternoon we get another phone call saying they would be there that same day around 6pm. We waited and waited and nothing. Finally around 11:45 pm my door bell rings and guess who it was..... Aarons!! Well while they were bringing in the leather sofa it was a tight fit and they just pushed it through ripping the leather in a few places. Also the wooden feet now have noticable gouges taken out of all four of them. Next was the loveseats turn to come in and yet again they pushed it through and ripped the leather and gouged the feet. Then the delivery man comes in and asks if this set was suppose to be new and we say yes and he says ok there is a problem then because they gave you the one off of the floor and its used. Nothing we can do now its already in our house and now its almost 1 in the morning. Before he brings in the supposed NEW tables he tells us that the cofee table is broken. He says hes gonna bring it ina nd tomorrow they will come by with a new set because they have one in the back. The entire bottom of the coffee table is disconnected from the top portion of the table plus there is a big crack in the table bottom. Next one of the end tables has a bump on it which you can tell while they were putting on the legs whomever was using the drill drilled the screw right up through the wood. The next day i call Aarons to tell them about all of the stuff being damaged and im told the furniture i ordered or bought was the used set and that they do not believe the table was broken like that upon delivery and that i cant keep adding to the list of things that are broken or damaged. Then we are told the General Manager will be calling us to see if he will discount the cost because of the ripped leather almost 2 months later still nothing on the tables or the discounts. We have called at least 8 times and theres always an excuse why the GM hasnt called us back. Then fed up we went into the store and we were told the GM just left, what a coincidence. The store manager for some reason doesnt have the knowledge or want to answer any questions with a real answer its always well ill talk to the GM when he comes back or ill have to find out. WHY IS HE A STORE MANAGER IF HE KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT THE WAY THINGS WORK IN AARONS????????? WHY DOES NOONE WANT TO HELP US WITH THIS PROBLEM?????? THE DELIVERY GUYS EVEN TOOK PICTURES O THE DAMAGE AND STILL NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!AARONS IS A JOKE AND IN SO FED UP WITH THEM THIS IS NOT THE END OF THIS THEY ARE GETTING MY MONEY THEY WILL GIVE ME WHAT I WANT!!!!!!!PLEASE TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW TO NEVER SHOP AT AARONS................
