Reviews For Wawa Corporate Office

upset customer 5/20/12
Store 460 in Palmyra has new management..that's great! But the new agm is so stuck on his position that he lacks the customer service! All the employees are shocked at his actions, they include during morning rush when he needs to help he instead sweeps the lot,or during lunch rush he orders a sandwich also! & then sits in the office to eat rather than help get customers on there way! Or I watched him today hand his keys to the safe over to a customer service associate! REALLY??? Us this what Wawa is representing?

WaWa 2845 north Rolling road, customer service is poor. There are some cashiers that
Are customer service oriented, but there are some that have no
Personality at all and poor decision making

My complaint(s) are about store 4231 in Turnersville NJ. First, avoid going there very early in the morning (5-6 am). The woman who works that shift is MISERABLE. She's always complaining about her job and apparently always sick because she's ALWAYS coughing all over everything and everybody. 2nd, my wife (who is clearly older than 25) couldn't find her current ID but had her expired ID and not only would the sales associate not sell her cigarettes but was extremely rude. Ok, the law is the law and I get that but there is no excuse for rude customer service. Now I'm 40 and had my ID but the associate wouldn't sell me my brand or her's. What gives Wawa or this guy the right to refuse to sell me a product that I am CLEARLY LEGALLY entitled to buy by law? No problem, we just went right down the road and gave another store our business. Get your sh#t together Wawa and hire some pleasant employees with good work ethic and half of a brain.

So fed up with wawa on Rt 70 and Massachusetts in toms river, NJ. Can never find a gas attended when I arrive to pump. I get up early in the morning and commute to work each day. Its not my gas station of choice but stop there because prices are cheaper. They usually have the same attended at that time of morning. Every single time I get there he is inside bull shiting where he should be outside waiting on cars. Im not the only customer that's had this problem. It's to the point where you have to leave your car and walk inside store to get him. I'm so done with this place and I'm sure there will be more people to follow

"I am a regular customer at the Wawa at 1550 Chester Pike in Folcroft, PA. What annoys me is the blatant racial profiling of its customers. They tend to ask Black customers at the cash register Is that it all ? In short, do you have anything in your pocket? So many times, I have stepped out of line to see if they asked the White customer behind me the same questions. Some times they do. Many times they do not. It doesn't matter whether I have a suit on or not, or just walked in the store and went straight to the counter. The Wawa store at 3 N. McDade BlvD in Glenolden, PA was more blatant. I stopped going to that store altogether. I was working for a retail store in the 1990's when Loss Prevention first started requiring cashiers to ask Is that all. It was because shop lifters were getting off from prosecution because they said that they just forgot and put the merchandise in their pocket. TI have complained to corporate once before and no one ever returned my call."

Employee at store 790 4/6/12
My store complaint is store 790... Renee Brown is so rude and don't know how to talk to her coworkers... She plays favorites with the Mother and Daughter that work there. They are allowed to go in the safe they can tell other employees what to do. They are not shift managers.

Renee Brown needs a lesson in diversity, I think she is prejudice, and she won't give you hours if you don't kiss her ass. I think she needs to be trained before going to Fl on how to treat all races of people.

I am at the point where I feel like when I work with Renee Brown she make it a hostile environment work place because she constantly make negative remarks about me with the mother and daughter employees that work there because they are

all good friends. I am not sure if they came from the same WaWa location prior.

I like working at WaWa I enjoy the relationships I have with my customers. Some come on Sat and Sunday because of me and my smile and my quality customer service manner.

I would suggest that Corporate takes a look at this store. I also suggest that they review the tapes. I think It is a injustice that Rene Brown can take almost a week off to move and wawa pays her heating bill. When I lost my 40 hour a week job and explain to her that I need a little time off to find something so that I would not become homeless. She got upset cut me down to 4 hours per week. Hired new people and told me she has someone to work and that she will only be given me 4 hours.

I have been employed since 09/2011. This store need to be investigated only because of her, she may have Corp fooled.. Corp can review store tapes to see that she has let this mother and daughter go in the safe to get get change for cashiers.

I suggest you do a employee survey on her and you will see very few in that store like her. I guess this is the way WaWa treat the non manager personnel.

It is a shame. If I did not find myself a full time job I would have had to live off of 4-6 hours per week that Renee Brown schedule me for. It's a pity that racism exist in WaWa. When money is green. I was a customer for years before becoming a employee. And I can't understand how Renee Brown can represent WaWa as a GMA with this type of behavior. The store has a new GM and he is open to hearing what the workers have to say. I think going forward with the new GM that is fair to everyone our WaWa team will be better off. He treats everyone with the same respect.

If Renee Brown is going to FL as a WaWa manager she needs a lot more training.

A Customer 3/24/12
You have a problem at the Ardmore Store. One of your managers has more than a professional relationship with an associate. The associate has the manager in a difficut position. I am a customer and overheard a not so private conversation (other employees know about the relationship). My suggestion is to transfer peaple to other stores. You will be facing a sexual harassment suit if the manager does not do what the associate wants.

Customer service was lacking this past Saturday, March 10 at the WAWA at 11th and Rockland in Reading, Pa.I had just finiashed filling my automobile with gas to the tune of $45. when I attempted to start the vehicle again , it would not turn on.I began to call different folks to see if I could get a jump, nobody was home, I called AAA for their services, within 30 minutes they were there. When it became apparent the car would not start and needed towing, then a associate of the store came out screaming and yelling at the driver to move the truck and the car, stop blocking the gas pump. Believe me when I say this was not my intention that day to buy gas and then just park my car there to block others. I true customer service driven employee would / should have came out and offered assistance and determined what the problem was and questioned the time frame that we would beable to move the vehicle,by the way this took all of 3-45 minutes total. I then went in to discuss how rude and unprofessional this associate was and the circumstances. The best the manager could come up with was to say just ignore her. A very unhappy not to return to this store again former customer in Reading, Pa.

I've recently filled out an on-line application and it has been a week and i haven't been contacted or nothing. This is a disappointment because i wanted to be a part of the wawa family and be able to proudly say that my first job was at wawa

Maureen Romero 2/26/12
Dear Mr.Howard Stoeckel and Wawa Team Members,
My name is Maureen Romero and I am writing this letter on behalf of myself, and other residents in the area. As a concerned mother and resident located less than 200 feet from a proposed Super Wawa site, I naturally have many apprehensions. The proposal I am speaking of is located at 50 Haddonfield Rd. Cherry Hill, NJ. I cannot begin to stress the impact that this SuperWawa will have on our neighborhood. My main concerns are quality of life, the integrity and viability of the neighborhood, and auto and pedestrian safety.
First, let me make it clear we like Wawa. We are patrons of Wawa. We admire the customer service, visual interior and exterior maintenance, and operation standards that you achieve. However, a Wawa should be adequately located nearby a residential population, not in one’s backyard. This particular proposal consists of at least 15 homes located within 200 feet. Not to mention, numerous homes just outside of 200 feet. While the proposed site is zoned business highway, the buffering fence is where the zone changes to residential. There are at least 8 streets full of homes that will be affected by this development. Residents closest in proximity, will suffer the most important loss of all, the loss of quality of life. There will be no children riding bikes, neighbors safely walking their dogs, families’ barbequing outdoors, and the like. Our time will be spent picking up trash from our yards, preventing trespassing on our properties, , and brainstorming ways to live with the various impulsive noises and light produced from a successful 24/7 hour Wawa. I understand that Wawa wishes to serve patrons from the local neighborhood, but there are more reasonable alternatives to achieve this.
The Cherry Hill Police Department evaluated the proposal and noted concerns. From the report, I learned that I was not alone in my opinion that the 22ft wide Yale and other neighborhood roads are not designed, intended, or prepared to handle the dramatic increase that a SuperWawa will bring. One of the closest roads accessible to the Wawa only has 15ft of asphalt, and is a school bus stop for several Cherry Hill schools. The stretch of Haddonfield Rd where the Wawa is proposed has an accident history. Analyzing historical accident data from the last five years, one main fact stands out. When the Toyota was open for business, the average accidents per year (on Haddonfield Rd between Maple and Church) were 74. Since the lot has been vacant the accident number has decreased to an average of 47 per year. The number of trips generated by a Wawa is considerably different than those of a car dealership. The car dealership hours were Mon-Fri 9-8, Sat 9-5, and closed on Sun. The Wawa gas and store will be opened 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If modifications are not made to Haddonfield Rd, how many accidents a year can we expect to see? It is my belief, that to improve automobile safety a deceleration lane should be added for Wawa patrons entering from the northbound direction, and a “left turn only” lane added for patrons entering from the southbound direction. While examining Wawa’s own website, I read that they prefer 2 acre lots, 12 gas pumps, and a 4500 sq ft store. The Haddonfield Rd proposal is 1.8 acres, 12 gas pumps, and a 6100 sq ft store, hence the tight fit. The traffic light at the shared (between Advanced Auto and Wawa) exit driveway is currently a delayed green. The question has not been brought up about the possibility of traffic backing up into the Wawa site. Also, there is an undeveloped lot on the other side of the Advanced Auto and I do not believe that future development of that lot has been taken into consideration either. It seems as though the size and/or dimensions of the lot are not compatible with the circulation, mobility, and safety precautions needed for a productive Wawa.
Additionally, there is not sufficient pedestrian accessibility to the site. Not all Wawa patrons drive. Older children and other individuals will choose to, or have to, walk to the Wawa. Neither Haddonfield Rd nor the surrounding neighborhood roads are equipped with sidewalks or bike lanes. In 2008, there was a pedestrian death. A 17 year old girl was hit and killed, while walking to work at the local Subway Restaurant. The accident occurred on Haddonfield Rd right between two of the proposed Super Wawa entrances. As it stands, it is unsafe for pedestrians to travel to the site. Other site entrance/exit safety issues are present and noted in several documents that are available for your review.
I understand that the company started out as a family business and I commend Wawa on its success. I believe that some of those family values that made the company the success it is today, will aid in compromising to come to a solution that meets the needs of the adjacent residents, the surrounding neighborhood, Cherry Hill Township, and Wawa. As it stands, there are variables both within and without of the control of Wawa, such as; offsite traffic, pedestrian safety and accessibility, noise created by late night patrons and delivery trucks, littering and loitering, crime, and car and truck idling. Wawa should do the right thing and strongly consider if this is an appropriate location for a Wawa Superstore.
I am hopeful that with the receipt of this email that you will do as I did, and begin to understand the full impact that this proposal will bring to the area. I understand and support your desire to bring business to Cherry Hill, and am willing to do what I can to help to facilitate that. I even have a few local alternate locations in mind. I am expressing these issues to you because you are in a position to validate these concerns and take the necessary steps to provide the safety measures that are needed in this important situation. I hope you are able to contact me to speak further about this matter.
Sincerely,
Maureen Romero

My drivers license had just expired the day before I went into Wawa to buy cigarettes. The cashier swiped it & said sorry I can't accept this. What!? It had my birthdate on it, but that's just not good enough. They said the system won't let them complete the transaction. That's bull. Before when I had forgotten my ID, they just punched in my birthdate. It should not be this difficult for a 36 yr old to purchase cigarettes! I've seen them ring up cigs without the need for scanning many times before. Clearly this cashier just felt like being a jerk, as I immediately went to another wawa & my ID scan went through just fine & was sold a pack there. Wawa's ID policies are absolutely ridiculous & void of common sense. Enough of this nonsense!

As a Wawa Employee and customer, i see both sides of every argument here. Getting promoted is like pulling teeth in this company. Its fantastic at the corporate level (Associates in Need Fund, Stock, 401K with dollar matching, Benefits, Weekly pay checks, Overtime, Holiday Pay). It's not easy work, in three years i can count how many times ive been given a formal break, and even then it was a "working lunch." In addition, I've been a loyal and conscientious employee, only to have my Bachelor's degree discarded by management. I have been pushing for a promotion for at least a year now only to be kept chomping at the bit with various different excuses. Now, I'm so financially unstable I'm getting full time hours but sinking further into debt. My managers had no help for me in terms of a raise or sooner promotion. If it's one thing this company has been good for, at least in my case, it's passing over qualified, long term employees for higher management positions in favor of new hires that are quick to kiss ass. They expect you to work in all weather conditions, regardless of commute time or personal qualms.

And there is no company policy stating you HAVE to pay for your sandwich first during the day prior to picking it up. Actually, we aren't supposed to hold sandwiches hostage, it teaches the customers we don't trust them. However, the story changes between 11pm and 7am as the employees are fewer and the levels of intoxicated customers is higher.

and when the cashier Scans your ID at the register, they arent stealing your information . . the notion of talking to an attorney for that is absurd. Cashiers Scan ID's because they can be scanned in order to verify the ID isnt fake and the age for tobacco purchases. . .we live in an age where very few people do math in their head. come on now.

Why doesn't Wawa support its veterans who return from active duty? Obviously the Uniform Services Re-employment Rights Act (USERRA) it either ignored or wawa doesn't understand.

I am an ex- employee. Today is February 5th, and I still have not got my w2. I hope I don't get it until after the 15th, because on that date I will be calling the IRS, and reporting them. They will be fined and audited. I guess they think people who worked for them are stupid, and don't know how to find out information about stuff like this.
They have my right address, so they can't say it is that.
I have called on 2 occasions, and was told something different both times by 2 different people at corporate.
I am so glad to not have them to deal with at all next year.

Ex employee 1/31/12
Hi I'm a ex employee at wawa store 944. And I would have to say that the management sucks. I worked there for over 3 years and each year it has gotten worse. The managers coursing and getting loud with people. And how they yell at you for something you didn't even do. I am so glad that I don't work there anymore. Making employees staying after their Schudled time and then they argue with you about leaving.

Anoynomous Employee 2/1/12
To the lady who was given 2 5 dollar gift cars instead of stolen money: First I cannot believe your situation was handled this way. Process would have been to give you your money back and deal with the loss later. The gift cards you where given are delivered by corporate, and pre-loaded by them. If they where empty, maybe something fishy is going on there also. I would suggest calling 1-800-444-wawa, and talking to someone there, they will at least reimburse for gift cards.

To the disgruntled gentlemen who did not get shift manager. That choice is not made on how long you have been in the store, or anything else. That is solely up to manager, and unfortunately they do not have to explain themselves to associates on there decisions. Also, W-2s have not been recieved by employees yet, They where not mailed out till the last date, the 31st, so no one is holding yours hostage.

To the mother/daughter, There should be no problem with you two working the same shifts, as long as neither one of you is manager/shift manager. Policy is fine with relationships of most types, as long as one is not in charge of the other.

Anyone complaining about Cig's, And gas prices. We have not raised our newport profit margin in 2 years. The increase was solely from newport, not from us. Gas prices fluctuate on price of oil. Thats just how that works. No one here is gettng rich of gas prices.

I work at wawa for almost a year on third shift.I was hired 2 days before this other girl well a shift leader position came up without me even knowing it.The girl that was hired 2 days after me got it because she was friends with the lady that was shift leader on third. She was moving to second shift.I went to managment about the fact that I worked hard to get my diploma and she didnt even have her highschool diploma. After I complained I was threatened by the 2 I worked with on 3rd.I went to the office about it and nothing was done so I walked away from that job.I feel I was done wrong.Oh yea they still work there. And Corporate never contacted me back.Oh yea by the way where is my w-2 its the 30th of Jan..All of your employeess got theres already so where is mine

Anymous 1/27/12
i am not writing this as a disgruntled employee but as worried child and friend.
I had worked at a wawa. Both me and my mother worked at a new store. we both applied since we both needed the job, but we figured one would and the other wouldn't get the job. Well we both got the job. we informed the GM that we were mother and daughter, he told us to be quiet about it so we did, with a few slips. i later left due to stress. i worked hard and was bullied by an older woman on the shift after me. she would say i did not do my work and complained about me. that deli was spotless and most days everything would be done. we hardly had people on the 2nd shift unless we had the boss's pet as the manager then we had more people. i tried my hardest but i could not take the added work from 1st not always doing all they could and just leaving when it was their time and third shift complaining about how busy it is and how we need to do their work for them. but then have them riding carts around the store at night and handle food without gloves and hairnets. since my leaving i was told i could come back to the company but i had to hear from my mother that i was not to work there bacuse i was her daughter. the GM can hire his brother in law as a gas attendant and try to push him into the manager position then get his girlfriend a job at another wawa, but i was not allowed back. employees wish i could come back with the exception of the night manager. my mom is constantly having her hours taking from her and being lied about from the same night manager. please someone help. these employees are in need of hours and to work and this store is just taking the good people for granted and letting the terrors reign.

What's going-on with the woman cashier in Store # 442? Thief named Lois..

I’ve been a Wawa customer for over 40 years now, and for almost two-years (1979-1981) was an employee working at three different locations during that time. The reason that I decided to write this letter was due to an experience I had earlier this week, at the Wawa that I stop into on my way to work in Philadelphia.

The store that I’m referring to is the Wawa in Woodlyn, at the intersection of McDade Boulevard & Bullen’s Lane. I normally stop there on my way from home in Brookhaven to I-95 three days a week. This past Tuesday morning though while paying for my Coffee, Daily Times and Donut, I was given incorrect change by the cashier. I gave the woman-cashier (Lois) a Twenty dollar bill after which she gave me some coin for change. At the time she had money lying out on the counter behind the cash register, and seemed to be counting it. There was no-one else in line with me at the time, and after receiving the change I continued to stand there waiting for the remainder of my change. After 20 seconds-or-so, I asked Lois, “Was that $20.00”? Meaning to say, did that cost $20.00? She understood though, and replied, “You gave me a ten”. I explained to her that I know what I gave her, as my wife gave me the same twenty before I left the house and it was all the currency that I had on my person. Lois responded by giving me a look of displeasure, looking to someone behind the sandwich-counter and calling for ‘Joe’. Seconds later, she handed me a piece of paper and said, “write your name & number down and we’ll call you later if we come-up over”! By this time several other customers were next to me in line waiting to pay for their goods, so I decided to trust Lois and leave the store, expecting to hear back from them soon.

Unfortunately, I never received a phone call so at around 9:00 AM I called the store requesting to speak with a manager. Whoever it was that answered (perhaps MaryAnn) said that the Manager was “out on disability” and proceeded to ask how she could help me, so I explained to her what had happened earlier. She told me that I’d need to call back, since the cashier’s don’t check their drawers before 9:30. At around 9:50, I returned a call and spoke with the same woman, who after being asked if Lois was $10.00 over replied, “the drawer’s came-up short”. I felt insulted to be told this information and suggested to her that she has a problem there at the store, as I knew positively that I had handed Lois a twenty dollar bill earlier. She spoke with me for another minute-or-so before explaining that she was unable to issue me a monetary refund, but would like to offer me two $5.00 gift-cards. I thanked her for her consideration, and agreed to come-in to pick them up later in the day.

At approximately 7:40 PM, I showed up at the store and asked to speak with whoever was managing the store at that time. I was directed to a young lady who asked me how she could help and I explained to her what had happened earlier when I was short-changed. While explaining further that I was told to stop in to pick-up the two gift-cards, she remembered being told about me earlier, retrieved them from under the counter and handed them to me. I then thanked her and left the store. Each of the cards had the words “Please accept our apologies” with Wawa written in the lower-right hand corner. This evening at approximately 5:15 PM, I sent my son to our local (Brookhaven) Wawa to pick up a few things before dinner and gave him the cards that were given to me to make the purchase. He returned home upset & embarrassed after being told by the cashier that there was no-balance on them.

I’ve only got three questions; Just how tough is it to hire honest/conscientious cashiers these days? What do you recommend I do with these two empty gift cards, and does anyone there at Wawa Corporate even care?

I got gas at wawa on Dec 29th. They put a hold on my credit card for every penny that was in my account. As of today the money still hasnt been released. I don't see how it should take over 2 days to release my money when sales should be closed out daily. I will never use a credit card at that place again.

i would love to know how a six cent increase for you on Newport cigarettes translates to a seventy cent increase to your cutomers. I used to go into Wawa at least five times a week buying other items as well as cigarette. Now I will give my business to a company that doesn't use such a small inrease as an excuse to jack up a price as hihgh as you did. No other brand seemed to go up as much. Not even the non menthol Newports.

WHAT IS COMPANY POLICY FOR ORDERING FOOD, HOAGIES, ETC., AT THE DELI COUNTER?

DOES CUSTOMER PAY FOR FOOD AS SOON AS SLIP COMES OUT OF PRINTER?

DOES CUSTOMER ORDER FOOD, WAIT FOR FOOD, THEN GO TO CHECKOUT, AND PAY?

Last night, I ordered a hoagie, and the woman behind the counter told me to go pay for it, because it was wawa policy to pay before I got the food! That was the very first time for this, and I almost was ready to walk out of this store.

IF wawa policy is to PAY for food ordered, BEFORE you get the food, then PUT A CASH REGISTER at the DELI COUNTER. I will not order food, stand in line, pay for my food, go back to deli, get my food, then go back to counter and pay for other item I decide to buy... This just does not make any sense to me.

This woman treated me like I was going to steal the food I ordered. BULL, I AM NOT A THIEF.

what is up with your dam gas prices? As of 12:30 Dec 5th 2011 the other gas stations in my area, Bear, Delaware are sitting around $3.13 avg for regular.

WaWa raised thier prices 10cent over night to $3.23. I love how you guys are charging us now for the increase fuel cost for January crude.

Its also interesting how the fuel cost for consumers comes down in increments of 1 or 2 cents over the period of a month and but then you jack it back up 10 to 15 cents at a time.

Wawa used to be something I bragged about to outer staters. Now your just as sleazy as the rest of them.

I highly recommend gasbuddy app for apple or droid for those reading this. It keeps you informed of the gougers and sleazy companies.

Why was Ms. Edy in the WAWA La Plata, MD store terminated? Ms. Edy is a southern Maryland community treasure. Ms Edy has been the best public relations and outreach representative for any business or organization that I have ever come across.

It has been my pleasure to have known her. With the inordinate number of options to buy food, gas or lunch so numerous in the La Plata area, Why would WAWA think anyone in the southern Maryland area have any reason to ever patronize WAWA for any product or service?

Please reconsider the personnel action taken against Ms. Edy. Otherwise, I will personally organize a campaign to boycott WAWA's nationally.

Hello I attested to get gas Monday and it declined my credit card. I told the employee that I definitely had the funds in my bank so he swiped my card two more times and it declined it both times. I finally pulled the cash out of my wallet and paid for my gas. Later that day I attempted to use my credit card and it was declined so I called my credit card company and they said Wawa put a hold on my funds even though it declined my card. They said I had to wait three days for Wawa to release my funds. It declined my card and it still put a hold or took MY MONEY for they said three business days it has been fives days and the transaction which was Declined. I can't believe I have to wait on my money that I worked for is kept from me on a non transaction. This put me out my money and I had to borrow money because of Wawa and this stupid bs. I need my money back and also should be reimbursed for Wawa basically stealing my money. PLEASEHELP ME OUT OR I WILL BOYCOTT WAWA AND TELL EVERYONE HOW CRAPPY WAWA IS AND YOU WILL LOSE TONS OF CUSTOMERS. my email is jasonsrules@yahoo.com

To all who have made a comment about wawa,I am an ex-employee and can tell you horror stories about wawa. 90 percent of employees/managers are lazy, obese, drug addicts, completely incompetent at their jobs. I was working at store 967 in blackwood for two years,I was told they wanted me for a management position facility mgr, which did not exist at that store. Wanting to move up I worked my ass off, nothing happened! But once I found out it was a lie,I was furious with the manager, she had me work all day cleaning the store, not one other associate helped. The man who worked on cleaning was fired immediately after he ended up with hernia,I was made to do his job,and cashier during peak hours,as time went on the continued to pile all the work on me. I contacted corporate, and the human resources woman was friends with Laura and called to let her know about my complaint,Laura continued to pile more work on me,made excuses for other shifts,I ended up getting fired because I got injured, the mgrs stacked sodas, waters so high in cooler they came crashing down on me I injured my back, neck. They refused to let me go to workmans comp, then I was berated by assistant mgr on last day. He called me a sissy, faggot that did what ever I wanted! I was always on time,EARLY,he got mad! Customers loved me! He got mad! I did all the shit jobs, like cleaning shit out of a urina which not one other employee was willing to do. Instead they all got laugh out of it.MGMNT INCLUDED! the worse part is they actually gave a girl I worked with a bigger raise than me and she was late everyday. The assistant mgr went so far as to schedule her later ,like 20 minutes so she wouldnt be late and she lived directly accross the street. So to GREG PEASE,LAURA FERRY,store 967 I say FU. BY the way over forty customers wrote corp because I was a great employee. That is customer service you jackasses at wawa. I am not done with you yet.

I just went there for lunch the cashier was delightful but the clerks behind the food counter were playing around so I guess that's why I now have the wrong lunch order I only have a half hr for lunch so im usually rushing and didn't check my order but if I'm paying and your paying attention I should have the correct order. I tried to call and speak with a manager but they don't even answer there phone. Needless to say I'm am not pleased with this trip to wawa.

Christine Tucci 10/26/11
Hi! I love WaWa and I went there everyday. Sometimes 2X a day. However, on 10/12/11 @17:20:43 Register #2 Cashier ID #122 charged me for 2 packs of gum that were on sale. 2 for $2.00. The Shaun WhiTe gum was marked as well on sale. It rang up as not on sale and she called the manager on duty over. I showed the manager the gum and she saw that the sale ticket was on there and took it off and told me that someone made a mistake and that the Shauan White gum was the only Stride gum NOT on sale. I told her well it said it was with the ticket and she said again, it was a mistake. Well there were 5 other customers on line and I was not about to make a scene. However, that idiot manager did lose a customer that went in there every day and sometimes 2x a day for a measley pack of gum. So the cosrporate offices of Wawa lost someone who bought there lunch there at leat 4 times a week and now I go to Subway. And I bought Coffee there and now I go the Dunkin. All for you hiring someone who must have been out the day they went over customer service issues and that the customer is always right. But in this case I was. Something was priced on sale. I also wrote to you the next day, to no reply or comment as of yet.

I think that there customer service or should I say lack of stinks. I have sent a couple E-mails trying to find stores that might be in surrounding counties where I live but I guess that customers are not important. Nobody has gotten back to me.

X Wawa Customer. 10/15/11
I asked to purchase a pack of cigarettes, the cashier asked to see my license, I repeat see. Even though I'm 42 and don't look near underage, I thought it would be fine to let the cashier see my license. However, without my permission she entered my license info into their data bank! Why in the world would someone think it's OK to enter my personal info into a data bank without asking first! If you ask to see (look at) someones license and they let you, it's to see it, to verify age etc... How does 'give consent to see' a license give WaWa permission to enter info into a data bank forever? If WaWa wants to take info and enter it into their data bank, they should be required to ask.

.

When I was asked to see my license, the cashier should have said "may I see your license and enter your information into our data bank"

.

In which case I would have said no. I feel totally violated and in my opinion believe my personal information was stolen.

.
When I got home I called the assistant manager, she was quick to to say that was their policy, I asked her if asking to see someones ID and without permission, enter info into the data bank is a WaWa policy. She then pretended as if I was out of line for pointing out the difference between looking at (for a moment) and entering without my permission personal information forever.

.

Then, as expected, she acted as if I was somehow out of line thereby no longer willing to talk to me. I plan on calling the store manager on Monday and asking him the same questions, and follow up with a request to be given a call from the district manager with a full explanation.

.

If I'm given the run around, I'll hire an attorney for satisfactory results.

.

Oh, and as you may have guessed, I'll never shop at WaWa again.

.

From now on, I plan on keeping my license in a holder that prevents people from (without my permission) swiping my card through the device.

I just have a suggesting which I wish you would really concider. It seems you throw out allot of pretzels at the end of the day. It would save you money, plus make you more money if you get a machine that bakes the pretzels like the ones that have in the movie theaters. You can control how many you cook and I think people would like a hot pretzel then one in a plastic bag

Please think about it

It appears that the WAWA in Pottstown, PA.,is gouging customers with their gas prices.
In past years, their price of gas was always $.45 to $.50 over the wholesale price of unleaded gas.
Now, it is approximately $1.00 over the price of wholesale unleaded gas. WHY????
Over the past weeks, the wholesale price of unleaded gas has been declining from a high of $3.20 to the current price of $2.55 but the price of gas at this WAWA in Pottstown is $3.53 per gallon.
It should be down to $3.00 a gallon by now.
CAN THIS BE ANOTHER CASE OF CORPORATE GREED????????

I am an ex employee at wawa store #854. The management sucks and so do the employees. No one does there job and all the shift managers think that they dont have to do there job or certain things because of there title. Im sorry but they are no better then me and should do just as much as me. I would have liked to move up to become a Gm but after experiencing what wawa is all about, I would rather clean bathrooms. And the most important of all is that wawa hires young kids who dont care about doing there job the right way. I know of a few employees at this store that smoke pot on there shift(3rd). This is unexceptable and they should be fired. I would never recommend to anyone to shop or seek employment at wawa.

I live in Ocean City, NJ. We were evacuated Friday Aug. 26 due to Irene. We locals were told to prepare and leave by 6 pm on Friday due to Hurricaine Irene which was to arrive Sat. Wawa, both stores on the island, totally abandoned all of us local dedicated consumers. They boarded up their stores and left town on Thursday night, two days before the hurricane was due to arrive! There was no where to get any necessities at all on Friday. Nor did they open their doors again until Monday the 29th even though everyone was back and things were fine by Sunday. The acme was open so that is where i went and will go from now on.....it's just as easy as wawa anyway. This is just a shout out to say Thanks WaWa.....nice way to treat your customers who support you all year.

NO RESPECT FOR THE EMPLOYEE 9/13/11
WHY DOES THE EMPLOYEE HAVE TO MAKE SURE THEY FIND SOMEONE TO COVER THEIR SHIFT IF THEY CAN'T MAKE IT INTO WORK? WHOSE RESPONSIBLITY IS IT MAKE SURE EACH EMPLOYEE GETS THEIR REVIEW AND RAISE?...THE EMPLOYEE??? IF YOUR REVIEW IS MISSED BECAUSE YOU DON'T TELL THEM...GUESS WHAT...NO RAISE FOR YOU!

It would be really nice if the Wawa Independence Day Celebration focused more in the historical purpose of the day! Patriotic music, readings, or skits on the parkway. The fouth is about our independence as a country,

Mike P 8/6/11
Your staff on trooper road in Trooper, PA are the worst workers on thos planet making the sandwiches back there. They are lazy, sloppy, and slow. Every f*cking time I go in there to get a hogie, it's the same sh*t. You guys should review these posts and DO YOUR F*UCKING JOBS AND DO SOMETHING OTHER THAN SIT BEHIND YOUR DESK AND TAKE PHONE CALLS. I hope Sheetz move down here and put your crap business out of business.

Ordinary Citizen defending my privacy 8/7/11
Now you want to scan my Drivers License to purchase cigarettes, I don't think so! There is enough big brother & lack of privacy in today's world without WAWA wanting to scan the bar code on my DL to purchase cigarettes. Why is it that your employees cannot simply look at my license to verify my age? I never get nasty with your employees for carding me even though I am in your store by my home on a daily basis, by now you think they would know me, the same people card me over and over and I never have a problem with it but I draw the line and scanning my DL. I do not know what other personal information is being taken when you scan my license and I'm not going to and take your word that it is only by date of birth, like I said they can see that with their eyes, scanning is not necessary. You are over stepping your bounds by wanting to scan my license and I will do whatever is necessary to protect what little privacy I have left in this day and age. If I have to take my business elsewhere then so be it but cigarettes are a small drop in the bucket compared to the amount of money my family spends in your store each month. I would venture to say without counting gasoline we easily spend $300 a month at our local WAWA. I may only be one person but everyone I know, knows someone and I will push the word to make other consumers aware that we do not have to nor should we allow WAWA to take temporary possession of our drivers licenses to scan the bar code and have access to Lord knows how many pieces of our personal information and to do who knows what with that information. My advice to you WAWA is to quit while your ahead.

There is a man who is a gas attendant at the WaWA store # 920 on Tilton Road in Egg Harbor Township, NJ that is very inapproriate with women. He is overly friendly and and asks for your I.D. when you pay for gas. He is not entiled to have that information and I will never go to another WaWa again. For what reason does he need to know my address perhaps to stalk me or hurt me? This is not the first time he has overstepped his bounds and I warn all women who frequesnt this WaWa, to be on your guard and just do not buy gas there.

colleen 7/30/11
I put in 2 applications in the wawa on rt 33. I am a 19 years old. The hiring manager said that my availability wasn't what they needed but both times. I put any availability. And he said that he would call me back the 2nd time. And he ended up hiring 10 new employees and pushed me to the side. I applied for gas attendent. That's what I wanted to do. But he has yet to call me back. I honestly think he is sexist when it comes to working gas.

Trucker GSCH 7/31/11
I live in Maple Shade, NJ we have 1 Wawa. I am a truck driver and have been to a lot of Wawa's in PA, NJ, DEL. I have never seen people hanging out in front of Wawa like they do in Maple Shade. They stand outside next to the trash can smoking and drinking coffee for hours. Several people have complained to the police and to the manger. I talked to the manger before and he said he will put a stop to it. It did stop for awhile and now they are doing it again. They take up the parking spots in front of the store and people have to walk in between them while they are smoking to get in the store. There is one guy who parks near one of the driveways in the fire zone and he is a fire fighter. The police wont do anything because it is not a state fire zone. It causes a danger when coming in and out. There is parking across the street and behind the building other than take up the spots in front. My daughter also feels uncomfortable to walk in between them because they are there looking at the girls walking in. When I talked to the manger he told me that they bring business to Wawa. I told him I have been here for 20 years and I do to. So that means they can do this and it dont mater I bring business to Wawa. I would like you to put a stop to this . Thank you.

It seems no matter which Wawa in South Jersey I go to the Iced Coffee is ALWAYS out. At first I would chuckle because it was always happening, now it's just becoming an aggravation. I have to wait to ask someone to refill the Mint Mocha then I have to wait until they go in the back and refill the machine. I think your employees should keep better checks on the levels of the Iced Coffee. It's up surd that each and every time I go in they are empty! I go in daily to get it...and daily I wait for the refill of the machine. Today I went in to the Tuckerton store at 10 am and told them the machine was empty to go in at 6pm and the machine was either never filled or sold out again. Come let's keep that Iced Coffee stocked...it really can't be that hard for the employees to do that? Now can it?

Brian 5/30/11
I went to Wawa today in virginia beach on shore drive i ordered a turkey hoagie payed around 8 dollars for it got 2 very thin slices of turkey no bacon which i ordered and about 20 pickles. This is ridiculous i didnt order a pickle sandwich. We also ordered a wrap it was thin as paperand straight out of the microwave terrible. These were the worst sandwiches i ever bought if i had paid 2 dollars then maybe i would have gotten what i payed for but i feel you ripped me off. I will never again visit WaWa what a rip off.

store 981 in nj has a shift manager that speaks to alot of people for very long lenghth of time which than she has other employees doing her job because she can't catch up. Her friends come in and order 1 thing from deli which she rings herself and they walk out of the store with other items for free. This shift manager also has relatives unloading delivers going into the freezer with her in the baler room and behind the deli counter. This shift manager also had a friend that left the store without paying for gas 2 weeks before this situation. I would like to know can everyone in the store get away with giving friends free merchandise and not pay for it. I hear the other employees upset about how she allows these things to happen and nothing ever gets done about it....Look at your videos and you'll see what is happening ( just take a look of the last 2 weeks and you'll see. Unfair conditions and situations that puts the employees in

I stopped at the new super store in Paulsboro, NJ. I dread stopping there, but I was on fumes and had no choice. The attendants were running around with no clue what they were doing. Two attendants were filling gas cans, forcing other customers to wait. Here's a hint....NO GAS CANS DURING THE RUSH !!! In NJ, the public is not permitted to fill their own vehicle, so it's either wait or break the law. Well, guess what....the law was broken by quite a few people today. Here's another clue corporate....AT LEAST ONE ATTENDANT PER ISLAND, WITH AN EXTRA TO FLOAT DURING THE RUSH! SUCK IT UP...STOP BEING TIGHT WADS! Get some extra help scheduled for rush times. It's not that hard to figure out...people go to work in the morning, and come home in the afternoon. They prefer to fill their tanks at one of those times, rather than make an extra trip and spend more gas to get gas. It's called being LOGICAL !

BARBARA GAIL STUDLEY 4/27/11
ON THE WAWA WEBSITE WAS FEATURED THAT EGG NOG WOULD BE AVAILABLE ALL YEAR.
I WENT TO THE WAWA ON ROSEBERRY STREET IN PHILLIPSBURG,NEW JERSEY.
SOLD OUT OF EGG NOG. THE MANAGER TOLD ME HE WAS TOLD THEY WOULD GET A SHIPMENT
IN TWO DAYS. CALLED THERE. NO EGG NOG. CALLED TWO DAYS LATER. NO EGG NOG.
THE MANAGER TOLD ME THAT WHOEVER DECIDES WHAT THE STORES CAN HAVE "DID NOT WANT TO"
SUPPLY THEM WITH MORE EGG NOG. ISN'T THAT PURPOSE OF RUNNING A BUSINESS TO MAKE MONEY? IF EGG NOG IS THAT POPULAR THAT IT DOES NOT STAY IN THE STORE LONGER THAN
3 HOURS,WHAT RATIONAL PERSON WOULD NOT HAVE IT TO SELL IN THE STORES?
GET WITH IT AND SUPPLY ALL THE WAWA STORES WITH EGG NOG.
AND FIRE THE PERSON WHO DECIDES WHAT STORES CAN HAVE.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

I will never go to another wawa again. I swiped my credit card and started pumping gas..I then sat on the edge of my seat with the door open keeping an eye on the pump and leaned in to put my credit card away so I didnt forget it at the pump when I heard one of the employees announce on the intercom specifically my number pump and tell me not to enter my vehicle while fueling- with that, all customers turned to look at me and I felt absolutely humiliated...why they felt the need to intercom that instead of come out and talk to me I DONT KNOW but I am very pissed off because I am a very paranoid person to begin with. I acknowledged the rules on the side of the pump, it only said avoid reentering car while fueling...it did not say or else we will humiliate you by intercom. AVOID thats the keyword here...you do not have to heed to that. Had it said DO NOT that is a whole other concept. I called the store and asked who to speak to about that and I spoke with the store manager, I asked him what was up with that? He got immediately defensive in his tone and said DO YOU WANT THE 1800 number?! THANK YOU for having such GREAT employees. You just lost another customer. BTW I've done this at every gas station (including wawa) - put my credit card away while fueling, never before being humiliated like that.

It was the Wawa off Easton Nazareth Highway in Pennsylvania, store manager I talked to Chris. He was very rude when I told him I felt humiliated and inquired why they did that? I am a paying customer, I do not have to feel that way.

Todd Flemming 4/26/11
I was just in a wawa store where the girls would rather talk then work and make joke about the color of someones skin if they workrd for me they would be out of a JOB

Dan Behe 4/17/11
Every WaWa I have visited, purchasing gas or food, has been excellent.
If I have had a minor problem, it is taken care of cheerfully and quickly, and I visit stores from N.J. to N.C..
I love WaWa.
The ONLY disappointment was that after I had written WaWA Corporate Headquarters about how well pleased I was with their stores and employees, I never even received an acknowledgment of them having received the letter.

Steve Daily 3/29/11
Last week I went to the Wawas on J Clyde Morris Blvd. in Newport News, Virginia to get gas and a sandwitch. When I got back in my car I noticed what appeared to be mold on the sandwitch and I went back in to return it. The fellow behind the counter was extremely rude so I asked to speak to the manager. I was told she was too buzy and I could come back in an hour. Needless to say I gave him a piece of my mine and my cell phone number requesting that she call me. No one ever called. I have instructed my employees(all 21) to stay away from WAwas. What a joke

Mario 3/18/11
I have been frequenting the Wawa in Red Bank, NJ for some time and can no longer tolerate the experience of having to weave my way through a large group of apparently illegal day laborers milling outside the building. They even blatantly stand beneath signs clearly posted in English as well as Spanish strictly prohibiting loitering, which is "police enforced". What a travesty! Police enforced? Very simple, ENFORCE! I personally witnessesd cars pull up and hire on the spot day laborers and drive away with them. When is enough going to be enough? I am a big fan of Wawa, hands down, the best convenience store around, but from this day forward, I will never be a patron of the one in Red Bank until the crowd of illegals is dispersed for good!!!

Mia 3/24/11
I go to Wawa's every morning for 3 yrs now. Every morning when i get coffee the canister is always empty. when the young lady is told that there is no coffee she rushes to replace it and spills it all over the place. In addiction, i have never since so many unproffesionalism in my life. The cumtomer service there is dreadful. As a value customer i am considering to never go to Wawa's again because i feel very uncomfortable there. even though, i love Wawa's coffee. i am very sad about this:(

shannon 1/6/11
i used to live right next to a wawa in exton, and everytime i went, i was extremely satisfied. i used to walk there and walk home with a bag full of items. but i was extremely upset to find out that no wawa has recycling bins.

I work at a store in south nj. I can tell you from experience this store has horrible management. I do duties that are not my job while the shift manager chats with workers or customers. Im a the gas guy. I mop the store, clean the bathrooms take out the trash inside and out, stock the cooler, clean tje parking lot, etc. im told if I do this I could get fired. Of course thats here say since I have no proof. Check out the stores in south jersey. Millville and bridgeton. I am starting to get tired of customers yelling at me for doing other peoples duties. Thank you.

Steve Walker 12/20/10
i went into wawa tonight because i work night shift i was told they do not sell turkey bowls at night and that is my FAVORITE thing in the store. so i am wondering why people that work at night are penolised for that. it does not make any sense to me at all i think wawa is the most ignorant store i have been in. who ever came up with that idea is the stupidest person on the planet earth and they can go to you no where.

rich 12/18/10

i am in the store #8605 on airport dr every day in richmond va and ive noticed this a few times but never said anything but it happened again today and i have had enough of it.theres a manager there named kim,she is red headed and ive never heard the nasty stuff that comes out of a persons mouth in all my life.she was talking to a short dark headed girl with the name tag pam and that girl never slows down and i allways have good coffee since she has been there and its allways clean around the pots.they just put in new pots last week and she is up on those also.but she told this girl that she needed to have the stuff done by 10am and she said im doing the best i can and that manager was nasty as hell to her.i thought the morning coffee wasnt supposed to stop until 11am.there was no reason to act like that to her.i wouldnt have handeled it like she did.she was polite and didnt say anything rude back.this kim shouldnt be in the buisness of dealing with the public.she even acts like this to some customers.i thought you at the office should know.the girl on the coffee now is the best thats been there in the 3 yrs of me going in that store.ill go to 7-11 from now on.that messed my day up seeing that girl being talked to in that manner.all people have feelings, sam

On November 13, 2010 my husband and I stopped at the Lewes Wawa in order to get gas before our long drive home to Wisconsin. We locked out keys in the car when we went into the store to get some coffee. The General Manager there, Maureen, was wonderful. She and one of her employees found the number of a locksmith for us to call, she gave us a free refill on a coffee, and she chatted with us for some time while we waited for the locksmith to arrive. Maureen managed to make an upsetting experience more positive for us!

I fiiled out an online application to on of your stores, which one of them is 5 mins to my house, which is located at RT, 9 North and the managers name is Brain. Anyway I called the store and spoke to one of the managers telling tgem that I fiied out an application online and who should I speak to about it he had told me to call the following day which I did and spoke to the manager which is Brain he told me that he would call me in a few days about my background check and then if everything has came back ok he would set up an intervew. I wanted for two weeks for a phone call, I fineally decedied to go into the store and I spoke with him about the position that he has open he said I nerver spoke to you and I said well I did speak to you cause I wrote your name down when I was on the phone last. He nerver got a piece of paper to take my name or any information to call me, now that's been a week ago. I then got fed up and called again concerning my application and if he did send out the informatin, I spoke with Will he was one of the managers at that time he told me that Brains in bussiness meetings all day and to call him on Monday which is today. I nerver in my proffessional life that I had to chase someone about a job, I've been out of work for over a yr. I was currenly working for walmart but I decedied to go to school and when I finished I didn't think things were that bad, yes I knew jobs are very hard right now especailly for what I went to school for. So that's why I fiied out the online applicaton, and tge reason for me doing so is to be close to home and I had transporation. I can't belive as a manager he doesn't have the common respect to call and tell me if he's hiring or not, I mean good Lord take the sign out of the window if your're not hireing. It's ASHAME how someone can miss lend you, and not give a dame. I'm very upset about this I hope you take this under some andvisment and to look into him. I can't belive his a manager and he's still working for that company. I thank you for your time and understanding, in this matter.

I drank some coffee with milk that was sour at your store at 6:300 am, I immiediatly spit it out, but some got in my stomach. I went to work anyhow and came home about two hours later at with cramps and diahreea, an hour later throwing up, missed that half of day at work, went to doctor , he comfirmed food poisoningand, missed three more consecutive days, because of weakness and stomach pain, was told by an employee on the phione some one would get back to me. no one did. called corporate headquarters and was told that at 4:29 pm there was no one there to talk to me, I have no choice but to speak to a lawyer Monday.
