rent a center has bed bugs!!!!

I am also not a satisfied customer!!!! How do I complain to the Corporate Office then??? I think the people goes to RAC school on how to CON the customers out of their money. People should contact CONSUMER AFFAIRS about this CORPORATE OFFICE I know I am!!!! I live in Ca and thats who I will be going through!!!

I ordered some items from Rent A Center in Bradenton Florida. I paid with a credit card IN ADVANCE for the furniture. I changed my mind before it was delivered and called the store manager Joe for a refund. He told me they don't do refunds and would hold on to the money until I decided to rent something. He claims that on the 2nd line of the rental agreement that there are no refunds and that the satisfaction guarantee does not apply to me since I did not have anything deliverd. This sounds illegal. Well my problem is that i got a refrigerator,stove and labtop I have been a customer since March of this year well there was a accident about two months and i lost my 6yrs son I dont want them to take my stuff im trying to catch up im single i had to pay for his furneal i just need time please please is there anything u can do to help I live in houston tx and i took the item out of the Monroe, houston my email priscillagarza18@yahoo.com thank u for taking the time out to here and i hope u can help me

One star is too many, for this company on its customer satisfaction. In todays world many companys are finding that the information age takes a different aproach. A good customer base is return customers. Yet some do not think that return customers are worth working to keep. The late charges are the penitally you pay for being late. Where does a company stand when that is not enough? How inportant is customers? This is one company that needs to answer this question. There are so many rental store out there, that they can be replaced so easy!

Filing a new complaint about Really? Are you all serious? If you went into a RentACenter and rented any merchandise yo u signed a 4-6 page agreement. In the agreement you signed it clearly states your rate, term and 90 days same as cash amount. It is worded simply so even an *** could understand it if they took the time to read it. In that agreement it explains that there is no grace period and payments are to be made on or before the due date. It goes on to explain the REINSTATEMENT policy which states that if you are unable to pay your payment on time you have the option to return the merchandise and then reinstate the agreement and rerent the merchandise WHERE YOU LEFT OFF without loosing the money you have put in. This is a RENTAL agreement people. You are RENTING the merchandise. If you violate your agreement by not paying your bill on time, avoiding the phone calls, refusing to return the merchandise (which is what you agreed to when you signed the agreement) your agreement becomes void and then...guess what...you didnt hold up your end of the deal and therefore Rentacenter doesnt have to hold up their end either. Those of you posting complaints about phone calls or picking up the unpaid for merchandise or people knocking on your door could have avoided all of that by keeping your agreement, the one you signed. So I will ask one more time....Are you serious?

we have been previous customer over the years and paid things off now we trying to rent and have washer/ dryer set we dont get paid til thursday just made payment last friday it hasnt been full week wont let us pay thursday or add late fee said they have pickup was very rude nasty and hateful they put rent a center at bad name and company

I purchased a living room set from your Dillingham location here in Honolulu in March and had it delivered on 3/6/10. Not to mention problems that I encountered with that store regarding a replacement cover that was to have been provided after numerous telephone calls, I now have a problem with "bed bugs" that have been located in the love-seat and sofa. I can't even begin to tell you about all the bites that I began having which I initially thought was hives because that is the appearance that it takes on. After doctor's visits and still not being able to determine what was causing the hives, my son who was away and just returned home started having those same red and raised hive-like bumps on his back and legs. Well, this morning for whatever reason, I finally looked at the cushions and found several "adult" crawlers and I now know that this is the culprit. I am having an exterminator come out to spray the furniture and my living area and it is costing me $250 plus tax to have this done. I spoke with Scott this morning at 9:32am and had to call him back at 4:03pm to ask if he had spoken with the manager, Darryl. He then goes on to say that Darryl was not in today and there was nothing that he could do. I was pretty upset over the fact that Scott didn't think that it was important enough to call me earlier to explain that Darryl was not going to be in the office so I ended up having to call him to find out what was going on. Scott also told me that they would not take the furniture back and I told him I was not asking for that but to at least pay for the exterminator's services. He quickly responded with "attitude" that there was nothing that he could do about the situation at which time I told him that I did not appreciate his tone with me. I would appreciate some response to my dilemma as this problem is seriously grossing me out.

I knew from the start that rent-a-center was a high profit company. I have purchased from for over 10 years. Over the last 2-3 yrs. getting fixes or returns has been outright torture. And once you start paying on something, you dont want to loose that money by returning it...

I've been with the company for a while now. I made my payments on time, and when I didn't it was something financial happening or medical. As of lately, I found out that my husband has cancer and had to have surgery. I explained it to the manager at RAC in LaPlace, Louisiana. While I was in the hospital with him I was told by my references that numerous calls were made to them inquiring about my wherabouts, and RAC was told the same thing I told them. Afterwards, they made several visits to my house knocking on windows, and I don't think that was very nice. I would never lie to them about something like that. My husband is the only one that works in the house, so my payments depend on him. He will be out of work for a while. I am almost finish paying for my sofa, and the only other thing I have is a computer. Please try and work something out with me? If not, let me know how much I need to Pay out the sofa, and I'll just have to return the computer. Thank You.

In my city I had rented a washer and dryer. The dryer did not work the first month. I had called during this month on several occasions to report the dryer did not work. Finally a month later I spoke with the store manger and I let him here it for his self that the dryer did not work. He said he will send someone over with a loaner. A week later they returned the dryer. I was still having the same problem with the dryer. I called and spoke with the manger again as well. I told that the dryer still did not work. He then said I will send Whirlpool to fix it. I had to wait a whole week for whirlpool to show up at my house. Meanwhile I am still paying for the dryer. So I was unable to use it during the week that I payed for. Whirlpool arrived and they told me that the dryer was no good it was going to go any minute. He said the belt was weak and it would break soon. He said I need to contact RAC to get another dryer. He did as much as he could do at that moment. The dryer started to work again but only for a week.I called rac again and told them I needed a new dryer. They said they will send me another one. A week later they found me a dryer but this dryer did not work it had worked on one setting.They then tried to argue me down saying that I was crazy there is nothing wrong with that dryer. That another customer had it. They said there was something wrong with my line. A week later they had brought another dryer. But before they brought it in they checked the other dryer and said it works well. I said yes on one setting at first the man tried to argue with me. Then he said when he dose a diagnostic on it and it dose work he would be mad. I said I need a new dryer bottom line. So he removed the dryer and gave me another one. In which it worked well. I spoke with an employee at the store and asked if they could accommodate me for the money I payed for time I was unable to use the dryer. He said I will see if I can give you a couple of days. They refuse to accommodate me for the time that I was unable to use the dryer. I spoke with the store manger and he said he dose not give accommodations to customers. In the mean time I had several late fees because of the long wait. I would pay them when the work was completed. They refuse to erase the late charges or accommodate me for the loss of time. When I pay this off I will never go to RAC again. This place is located in Pittsburgh pa.

I've been buying stuff from rent a center for 6 years, never missed a payment. I lost my job and tryed to return a lap top, they would not take it back cause it was almost paid for, said they wood work it out with me. well I got 2 weeks behind and the sorry son of bit---- filed charges on me for theft. the thing is the lap top is 3 years old when they sold it to me for 1,500.00 been paying on it for 9 months. don't let this happen to you, there sorry as hell and crooks. They hound you if you are a day late on the payment!They call your cell phone, work phone and parents phones and they have literally walked into my house when i was not home! i went into the store and gave them a large sum of money to pay off one of the two things i rented and the didn't do it how i asked they just made payment till after the 90 days, screwing me basically making me pay triple what i was supposed to. there is more but either way i would never ever deal with this company again!!!

Back in 2006 i started renting from rent a center i had a bedroom set, a computer, a big screen tv paid every month faithfuly for a year and a half, oh and my payment was 600 a month but i never missed one no was a good and loyal customer loved you guys and recommended you to any one! Well April 2008 my mother passed she had no insurance it was a sudden death she was only 54 a stroke and she is gone. Well 2 yes 2 days after her death you guys came and took everything back with no apologizes of my mothers death! So heartless and cold you guys were. Well i tried getting my stuff back since i thought after paying on aeverything for a year and a half i could pick up where i left off i mean after all that is how Ray explained it to me when he convinced me to become a customer. I called about the TV asked how many more months and they said 18 months well thats not letting me pickup where i left off! But i found out from co workers that they where given vouchers when they couldnt pay there stuff and where only customers for 6 months. Why did i get treated so horrible by such a company i was so loyal to, can some one please answer that for me, please!

I'm still waiting on my bed rails since February. When they came out to put up my bed the employee broke my wood railings. When they called to the store to talk to the Manager he told them they did not make them any longer. So I sleep on a mattress on the floor. Really nice when your four months pregnant. They have no problem asking for thier payment but when I ask for the railings they blow me off. The store that I am dealing with is in Noblesville Indiana 317-773-7726. Wheres my BED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wating on a washer to be delivered. It was supposed to be here at 7pm.It is now 10:30pm and have not received a phone call.The # that I have just rings and rings.If they ever get here I am telling them to take it back and I will be in tomorrow to get my money back!!

I have had poor service with the employees that work at rent a center located in Keyser/New Creek West Virginia. The employee just entered my home without permission or even a knock at the door. The verbal abuse that I have recieved was also insulting to me and my family, and it was also inappropriate. I was very polite to the man even though I took the verbal abuse. I believe that I deserve an appology for the RAC employee's actions. Management and the perticular employee owes me and my wife an appology. IM GOING THROUGH the last stages of my payments and i asked how much i owed on it the rep told me 600 so i started paying two weeks each time. for 1 month wich is two payments of 65 dollars wich came out to 130 i just recently made anothr two eek payment of 65dollars wich brought it to 195 as of now they said i owed 580. what blows my mind is how after 3 double payments with my bill at 600 my bill is 580 meaning only 20 dollars made it there from 195 tht doesnt seem right to me seems like someone is stealing not only from me but fomm coorporate also.3226 e mcdowell rd. phoenix az 85008 manager (Manny) they told me down to go down and re do my contract sounds like theyre tryn to cover it up to me so here i am waiting on a phone call from john kayle i just need this to get resolved thx
