1049 Reviews For LA Fitness Headquarters & Corporate Office

I have been going her for 6 months now and i find this LA Fitness in Houston Texas on 529 FM has poor service the workers are people who suppose to work her go for their own amusement and not to work. My vehicle was buglarized right in front of the large bay windows in front of LA Fitness and they saw nothing. Simply amazing of imcompetence. I dont see this place being open much longer.

Dear LA Fitness Corp. I am a long time member of LA Fitness (since 1985, when it was Holiday Health Spa/Club). I general go to the North Hollywood branch in CA (on Victory street). In brief, last Saturday afternoon I noticed from the weight room that there was a woman in the pool with a large open wound covered by a bandage. I was very unconformable with this being it was a potential health hazard. I was told by a staff member that a trainer named Laura was acting manager. So, I found her and indicted my concern and showed her the lady. She really did not show much interest and told me "I will take care of it." However, at least 45 minutes later, nothing was done, the lady was still lounging in the pool. I again came to Lara with my concern and she merely brushed me off saying the same thing in an adgetated fashion, "I will take of it." I am thoroughly outrage by the non-concerned attitude of Laura and her incoherency of proper hygiene and her cavalier attitude regarding this unsanitary condition in a public pool. I will be reporting this to the health department. I would not allow an employee of mine to treat a customer as such and be so unaware of corporate polices. Thank you for your time, -- Edward Dalcour, M.Apol., Ph.D. President DCD P.O. Box 2128 Winnetka, CA 91396-2128

I cannot believe the total incompetence of the Sugarland, Tx. Facility. My spouse was recently diagnosed with a very abnormal blood work. Inquired about cancelling the membership due to my wifes helath, however, all the facility is worried about is the money. They would be glad to cancel the monthly dues however, would continue to charge for training sessions. ($160 / month). Absolutely flabbergasted of the inconsedration for a persons health and well being. Was told to send the doctor / labwork and they would CONSIDER cancelling at no cost. We provided the paper work as requested, and NOTHING,, not even a courtesy call. Followed up with the Sugarland facility, and was advised they would only consider if my wife is permanently disabled. I cancelled my wifes membership, however I have just been billed for 4 months of dues all at one time! This has been the most horrible experience. I will NEVER recommend ANYONE to this franchise.

I joined early summer for an opening date in PortChester NY of July 15th. According to your website, you opened today (10/01/2012) but nobody answers your phones or it goes into a message that the international office is not open. What is happening? If you opened, you were supposed to send emails out.

It is inadmissible NOT HAVING 5 lbs weights to work out bacause they got lost and so... Getnew ones Also only found one 8 lbs.. As a next option, when needed two I have 5 years paying a membership, and Ihave never seen a new machine in this time, The least I expected was an answer trying to help and not more NO,s

In looking at your reviews, most of them are one star. I tried to call you 800 number and cannot get through. Not surprised at such an unprofessional organization.

I am a member on LA fitness in Pittsburgh PA. The facility is very dirty, showers are horrible. There is no soap in the bathrooms. Employees do not care, always and excuse. They are hiring marketing people but no one to clean the place. Big disappointment, apparently corporate does not care because all of the reviews I read are the same.

The phone number to the corporate offices does not work, apparently they do not care what their customers think, or they are tired of getting complaints. Just canceled my membership. Pittsburgh LA fitnes, the staff does not care, the place is dirty, staff rude. You are going to pick up some kind of fungus and infection at this place. My advice is not to join.

I have just returned home from LA Fitness after the bootcamp class was cancelled because of no instructer. I only found out about it after I was in class waiting for the instructer to show up. When I asked the manager about this he said they just found out. However, talking to another employee, they knew about this yesterday. In this day of computers, there must be a way to send an e-mail when the classed are cancelled. It would save a lot of people driving to the gym just to find out the class is cancelled. This is not the first time this has happened. I belong to LA Fitness in Pittsburgh the North Hills location.

The facilities we frequent are dirty, have torn "leather" on the machines and no one ever wipes the machines down. The trainers don't even wipe the machines down when working with people. I went to use a machine the other day and it had sweat dripping off of it! When I commented I was told "it's hard to monitor 1500 users" and "we do wipe them off during the day". We go at different times and have never seen an employee wipe a machine down..Here's and idea that might help. How about trying several signs and a little reinforcement! We are leaving LA Fitness and would not recommend it - there are many other gyms worth a few dollar's more.

Well I have no trouble in Phoenix, but I started at Pure Fitness and when LA took over, they just say hi. But thats ok because I work out and the equipment is good. My suggestion is sometimes if they would walk around and talk to the people it might make the people feel at home or they can give them some advice without charging them. Because they do pay the wages and sitting at a desk until someone walks in isn"t a good IDEA. And they don"t walk around and wipe off machines. They did at Pure Fitness. If u want to keep people happy take time and stop and say HI.

The training Manager at the wellington fl location is a pig. he tries to pick up every female he sees. he should be in jail as a sexual predator. he is creepy and never leaves you alone he is constantly trying to pick up girls and thinks he is all that. It is terrible when i speak with other guests and they all say the same thing. they have transferred him from club to club and he is the same. they do nothing about his behavior therefore he just gets away with it. I am cancelling my membership because i feel so very uncomfortable when an employee of the gym ( Manager) makes me feel like he is stalking me. DON't join this gym.

LA Fitness bought up Michigan Bally locations. The club in Southfield on Northland drive has more ammenities than LA Fitness Signature clubs. In addition to the usual ammenities, it has a jogging track, steam room, hot tub and sauna. Immediately after they bought the club, they fired Bally staff and the place went down hill. Mainly it was just plain filthy. Cleaning personnel were nowhere to be found. Members complained or went elsewhere. A new manager was brought in and they started to clean the place up. The pool was drained and given an acid wash and all the machines got fixed and cleaned. And then just as things got better, management cut the hours so that the club closed at 8 pm on Friday and 7 on weekends. Whaaat? Members fled to other clubs. Other clubs in the area are open until 10 or 12 pm. Just 3 weeks after all this cleaning and fixing up, LA Fitness announced it is closing this club on Sept 28th. I don't know who is in charge of LA Fitness, but they sure know how to drive customers away. I've been a member of that club for 20 years. I won't be renewing.

Bad, bad fitness center. When I called to cancel my membership the lady on the phone was very rude. This is at the: Bloomfield Hills, Michigan 6420 Telegraph Rd. Bloomfield, MI 48301 I am now going to Balance Fitness. Clean and courteous.

The problem is 1)you have sales people under pressure to simply sell 2) no interest in your actual fitness 3)fitness , knowledge & nutrition are not coupled with sales and objectives , its not about your goals as a member but there goals as sales people. Its that simple . Lx Fitness is the easiest gym to compete with in the fitness industry.

The reason I joined the Poway, CA facility is for the indoor pool, but lately the pool temp is outrageous. Yesterday, I swam laps in 91 degree water. The temp was the same today. If I can't swim, I can just use the weight machines at 24hr fitness for less money. I have also complained the the electrical outlets in the ladies locker room lacked covers. I believe that this is a code violation. All it would take is to buy outlet plates at the local Home Depot for 50 cents each.

I go to the LA Fitness gym on I45 in Spring. Unlike other LA Fitness locations I have used, this one is clean and the equipment is well maintained. I do have a problem because I go on my lunch break (only time I have) and there have been occasions of a female cleaning the mens locker room. I asked the manager to have this practice stopped. He told the cleaning person to wait until after 1 PM, but this only lasted for a few weeks before she was back in the mens locker room again. I again approached the manager and he made some wise crack about hiring a blind person to clean, but told me to use the "family" restroom. The shower in the family restroom has no shower curtain, and the "shower head on a hose" doesn't have enough pressure to wash yourself. If you turn on the main shower head to get enough water to wash with, it wets down the entire bathroom (and the floor is amazingly slick.) The only "dry" place to stand to get dressed is immediately next to the toilet (I don't want to stand there barefoot.) I told the manager that his "solution" was not acceptable, but his only response was "I never shower in there." I complained to the corporate office, and they said that the company policy only allows for female cleaners in the mens locker room on the weekends. I went today, only to find the dreaded "women working in locker room" sign up. I went in to find not only one woman, but two. I changed in the "family restroom" and went through my workout. When I finished, the sign was removed so I went in to shower. When I got to the showers, the sign at the back of the locker room (leading to the pool) was still up and a woman still inside the mens area. It appears that the male janitor has been replaced with a second woman, so now the mens locker room will be cleaned every day by a woman - breaking corporate policy. I have an annual membership that is due to expire at the end of next month. I will be looking for a new gym. Since management (both local and corporate) are not willing to enforce their own policy, I'll "vote with my feet" and take my business elsewhere.

super annoyed! Need someone from LA fiteness to contact me!

I am currently looking to join a gym and today I walked into the LA Fitness Boca Raton location (4950 Technology Way, Boca...561-206-3034) and sat with Dori. She went over my membership options, basically saying the more you put down, the less the monthly membership fee will be. Completely understandable. She did not give me a tour of the facilities, which are quite large. LA Fitness is the only 2 story gym in my area. Dori handed me the class schedule, but did not elaborate. Dori basically put the financial figures on a sheet of paper and left it up to me to continue the conversation. So I asked if I could use the facilities. Dori commented, " I can arrange a 1 day pass, but we are running a business you know." That totally flabbergasted me, but I kept my mouth shut. I am a business owner myself and know the importance of customer satisfaction and retaining those customers. Remarks such as the above will only sway customers away. Todays' visit to the Boca location was unexpected. I was on a bike ride and decided to check it out. My friend, who is an LA Fitness member keeps telling me to join. he tells me how great the facilities are, how he uses 3 different locations with other friends and all the amenities (B-Ball ct, racquetball, indoor pool). I didnt find out until after the fact, that I could have printed out a 3 day pass. That really irks me, after what Dori had said to me, and then only offering a 1 day pass. I have not made a decision as of yet which club I will join. But I do know I WILL NOT join LA Fitness. I will also tell anyone inquiring to stay away from the place. I will relay my story to all of my friends as well. I will tell every person about my experience and post my story on facebook. Maybe Dori was having a bad day, I dont know...but I will not have the opportunity to give her (or LA Fitness) another chance b/c she only gave me a 1 day pass. Maybe Dori judged (which no one should ever do) me wrong b/c as i said I was on a bike ride and stopped in unexpected all hot and sweating. If she knew I was a business owner myself , that I would be willing to put down $250 to have a monthly membership fee of $19.99/mo, that I have friends that would join the club if I jacked them up about it...do you think Dori would have treated me any different, or atleast offered me the 3 day pass that any Tom Dick or Harry can get emailed to them from the corporate website??? This just gives me another bad taste of corporate America!!! Sad Sad Sad. The 2 other clubs I mentioned to have checked out treated me like royalty (not that I would want or expect that), they went that extra mile to show its not all about my membership fee in their pocket every month. I would certainly hope the manner Dori handled my situation is not the norm...or is it? I hope no one ever has to deal with that woman again. I have since told my friend who belongs to the club about my experience and he was quite surprised to hear about it. I obviously urged him to get away from LA Fitness since they obviously DO NOT have any clue whatsoever how to treat their members. They just want that membership fee in the. Greed rears its ugly head.

LA Fitness recently bought Lifestyle at Tyrone are in Florida. They are closing our current club and move us to a new location in October. When inquired about Silver Snickers, elderly classes, the employees did not the answer and informed us to contact headquarter. They were either unable to provide contact information or we did not received any response. Do they know that insurance companies pay $4 per qualified person per day? Unprofessional and poor customers service. I agreed with other postings on customers service, broke down equipments. We are looking to join another fitness center end of September.
