Kmart has the worst customer service in my entire area, even their coorporate office is horrible!! They don't care about their customers and this is the reason they are going under sears is also. People of kmart my advise to you is to start looking for a new job, kmart will be lucky to see another year or so before they are all closed down!!!

I applied for a job with Kmart Stores in Kingman, Arizona, and they stated after waiting a month to hear back that I did not complete the testing with your stores. You have also stated that you have chosen to pursue other candidates at this time. When their are cashier positions open there and at the new Denny's next door that I applied for too. Flying J is partnering with Flying J gas stations and opening a new Denny's Restaurant. I applied with them also and they lost my application and did not have any more to hand out for the opening next month in October. Kingman, I also tried to apply with the Hospice center in town and they are not starting Hospice training classes for another three months also. I moved to Kingman Arizona in 2006 and I have not been able to find full time work here since moving to Kingman, only temporary work and there is no more jobs available to apply for now Kingman. Even though I have to keep looking each and every week, I am a single woman with no children going through a divorce. Are there any opportunities within your company for women with no children or do you have openings in another location for a divorced woman, newly remarried and going through a divorce again, at age 50 anywhere in the United States or Canada? To Whom It May Concern, My 38 week pregnant girlfriend and I were just at your 4225 W Indian School Rd Phoenix, AZ location to return a baby car seat and stroller and were treated like 3rd rate citizens. Upon arrival we were greeted by the male security guard who WAS friendly. He directed us to customer service where we immediately began to receive the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! The first young lady told us because our item was purchased online it couldn't be done and proceeded to walk away. The next young lady (Jennifer) told us the same thing with a worse attitude than the first. Neither of them read the receipt that specifically stated we could return the item at any K-mart location. My girlfriend then called the phone number on the receipt and spent over 30 minutes trying to figure the situation out when Jennifer should have contacted a manger before hand. The gentleman on the phone tried to help, but the young lady continued to give us a horrible attitude and tell us we had to send it in ourselves. When we asked to speak to a manager she told us she was the supervisor and she couldn't return the item. We then asked the gentleman on the phone if there was anyone else he could transfer us to for further help. As he was putting his manager on the phone, Jennifer decided this was the right time to actually call her manager for assistance. Store Manager, Mary Pyrles (I believe) came and processed the transaction right away, she was polite and helpful. While trying to shop we saw Mrs. Pyrles walk by. We tried to catch up with her and let her know about our awful experience. Directly behind us was a female "security guard" (with no K-mart employee uniform or name tag) that rudely stopped us and told us we had to leave the area while we were trying to get the manager's attention. She said we were not aloud to be there, but there was a posted "bathrooms" sign for customer and no "Employee only" sign. In no way did my 38 week pregnant girlfriend politely saying "excuse me miss" seem threatening enough to be stopped the way she did. When we finally got to talk to Mrs. Pyrles she sounded very concerned and said she would check the store video tape to review what had happened in more detail. This incident was so upsetting I truly want to give my $163.00 store credit to some one for free so I never have to enter a K-mart ever again. I know there are other K-marts, but it makes me think all staff s as poorly trained as these were. K-mart is a brand and all stores should have the same service and knowledgeable staff right? We felt like a burden on the staff and very unwelcome by most that we came in contact with. My girlfriend and myself are also in customer service and know that no one should ever be treated the way we were. For the rest of my days I will gladly tell everyone to go to any store other than K-mart.

About a week ago or more I went to kmart on South 4th street in allentown, pa. I guess that in that in that stores employees are allowed to do what ever they like and treat unprofessional as they do I asked for assistance to black girl I think her name was SHAQUANNA and she just pointed it out were the item was and just kept talking to her co-worker about some one else in the store. Because as I was walking away I could hear the co-worker DEANNA she was cursing and blabing about her intellectual life which I really didn't care but she mad sure everyone heard her I the store. So I walked away being told the item was across the store my question is why couldn't you help me how lazy are to walk me to the item. But as I made my way back into the register their was this short mexican girl who I had to wait on for about 5minutes til' she finished her conversation to the guy at the service desk which did tell to walk to the register twice. So, as she was checking me out for some items she kept giving me attitude and treating me with rush because I guess she wanted to go back to speaking with that guy. So when she got to an item that was miss priced I asked if she could get someone to verify for the price that I thought I would get she gave me this dirty look made a weird sound with mouth and yelled PRICE CHECK. So then this girl walks up which was the same girl that was talking loud which I had seen earlier DEANNA with out even checking said no that's not the priced and walk. Away. I paid off the money to the register girl MARIESELL because I couldn't stand another minute their and left those three girls ruined it for me I will never go back to that store I despise it. Very disappointed

I am handicaped, cannot walk very far without sitting down. When I go shopping at other stores i use their riding carts. This is the only one in Macon, GA. They have only one old, old cart & it is always out of order!! I went to the electronics dept. The sales person came back there waited on several black women and i called to him to unlock the sales items. He answered and then left for another part of store!! I had to sit down or pass out! Went to blood pressure machine & called front desk twice. Have been sitting here for 45min. K-Mart Macon, GA discriminates against handicapped people. Kay King 478-501-0895

I placed an order from Kmart.com and received the wrong item. I called and was told that they would reorder the item for me, give me 5 percent off and free shipping. They emailed me a return label and said that I would need to print it, package the item and take it to UPS. Once it was received, I'd get a full refund for the wrong item. The item was a birthday present for my daughter, so I said ok. I was charged a second time. Today, I received the second order. It is the wrong item again! Plus, they didn't give me the 5 percent discount! I called again, and was told the same thing. I now have over 50 bucks invested in the wrong item that I cannot return to my local store. I was only offered free shipping to reorder the item a third time. It's ridiculous! So much for customer service and making things right. You can respond to misscarollee@att.net.

Recently my wife put all my childrens school clothes on layaway at K-Mart, a couple weeks later she went to pick up all the clothes (several weeks prior to the deadline) and when she asked for the merchandise the girl told her, in a very matter of fact manner, "hmmm....they were all returned to the shelves" The girl then gave her back the deposit and said "there ya go have a good day" My wife asked for the manager and he simply said ....well theres nothing we can do sorry. Yep K Mart you are sorry, I shopped at your store because I am faithful to the old way's and I remember when you were THE big box store, GUESS WE KNOW WHY YOUR ON YOUR WAY OUT!!!! I won't be back if thats how we are treated!

My wife and I went to kmart in leavenworth ks we were looking to buy a flat screen tv 50in.My wife asked a simple question and the employee was so rude to my wife with his smart answer that my wife walked away.She was very upset this was sat 3sept 2011 just this past weekend.This was at approx. 1030 am I feel since your employee was so rude we should get the tv free.Please email me back joeandlesa@yahoo.com I am interested in how you will handle this we spend quite a bit of money at the store Thank You Joe

I'm more than a little irritated about Kmart's hiring process. I jumped through a bunch of hoops, just to find out I didn't qualify for hiring, due to the test involved. Funny thing is, I had a current employee with me when I took the test. I even put down the same answers, however I didn't get a job, then was told that I bombed the test! How is this even possible? The answer is that it's NOT possible, but I am a male... something of which I've never seen in my town's Kmart. Thanks for nothing Kmart...

i really wouldnt even rate them a 1 star. i fell at the store due to their lack of maintance on the machines. i was injured and 9 days later still cant get a person to call from their insurance company. the manager did nothing except tell me to get off the floor so they could mop up the water. a bunch of idiots there and corporate.

KMART LAYAWAY THEY DO NOT HONOR SALE PRICES ON LAYAWAY ITEMS! I PUCHASED A TABLET ONLINE THRU THE LAYAWAY PLAN AND THE ITEM WENT ON SALE AND kmart REFUSED TO ADJUST THE PRICE????? THE STORE MANAGER HERE IN RICHMOND VA WAS RUDE AND NASTY AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE WERE EVEN WORSE! I WAS TOLD THAT I HAD TO COME TO THE LOCATION CANCEL THE LAYAWAY FOR A 15.00 CANCELLATION FEE AND THEN REPURCHASE IT? WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD ANYBODY IN THEIR RIGH MIND LOSE 15.00 TO SAVE 10.00? I work for Kmart. I think these people who's comments I have read, forget that people are not perfect. We, as associates, make mistakes. Also remember, that it is much easier to complain than to conmpliment and for every complaint there is as many happy customers as well. I apologize that these poor people have had these things happen- but kmart on its WORST day beats walmart at their BEST. -thank you.

I purchased a swimming pool on 6-16-11 from your store in Seirra Vista, arizona to excercise for my parkinsons disease, because at this time I am unable to drive. I am a MARINE and a vietnam vet. The pump went out on 8-24-11. when I called the store the manager told me she had recieved an e-mail stating they could not accept swimming pool returns even though the 90 day return policy was not up. She referred me to costomer service, they referred to me the resolution center, nothing was done. I have a pool that is no use to me because of pump, and I cannot swim to help my parkinsons. I think your lack of informing people concerning changes in return policies is terrible, now I am stuck with a swimming pool not even 3 months old that I cannot use, unless I try to purchase a new pump from the manufactor from which YOU purchase your swimming pools from. It is very clear that since the e-mail went out about no refunds on said swimming pools that your company knew they were deffective and people would be returning them.

I can see why Kmart is closing stores... The works if you are lucky enough to find any actually working instead of standing around know next to nothing about store inventory. I searched five stores for a collapsible 18 inch stool which is advertised on their website....no one in any of the stores (including a Manager) new anything about it... The customer service is terrible to say the least. The minorities they hire for cheap pay is destroying Kmart's reputation. They don't care about working and can be seen just standing around...joking, talking, and doing nothing..... Lastly they need to update the GPS system...of the fives stores my GPS found...two were actually open for business.. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO KMART AGAIN

Hi, this day and time, so many people complain about services from stores. I felt I needed to let you know about a recent incident at the Pineville, Louisiana store. My wife has been sick for over one month with a staff infection. I had an opportunity to personally deal with them (the pharmacy). I want to let you know that ALL of the pharmacy's employees at this store have gone above and beyond their obligations. I commend all of them specially Mrs Dahlia (pharmacist) for their help. I felt obligated to led you know this specially since so many folks seems too eager to complain. Thanks for everything. John

I was at your store shopping yesterday, i was harassed by one of your employee, they said i gave her the finger, i just do not remember if i did, because she said something to me that might provoked me. She gave a very nasty looked, I JUST KEPT WALKING and i was at the cash register ready to checked out , and followed by your security guard. And your employee, named Lanie Cuevas, followed the security guard and start screaming and yelling at me, and making a scene. I was told by your security that i was not allowed to go to the store. I am an employee, well former employee as of today. I used to like the items that kmart sold and I enjoyed going in there. I had noticed after our move between states that the kmart closest to us was lacking in a lot of areas. As I was looking for a second job, I decided to apply to work there part time. At the time I was hired. I had advised them, I had to have two and a half days available between monday and friday and that occasionally I would need to be available on a weekend but not often. I was told that was not a problem. After my initial training etc, I was offered to do coverage for someone else in the school and I hand updated my availability for the manager. I said to keep me on call but I could only guarantee availability that I had changed to after 5 on weekdays. in a month, I have never had a week where I did not have at least two week days where I was working during the day. But, I was lucky and for now my main job was able to accomodate. However, I was called in for a mandatory shift. I contacted my HR person only to be accused of lying. Saying that I wasn't really working my other job. I attempted to contact the HR for Kmart. Only to call India and speak to someone who spoke broken english at best. I personally will be boycotting Sears, Kmart, Lands End and The Great Indoors (yes all the same company), I am not going to put myself through supporting a company that in order to hire a bunch of high schoolers will harass grown adults with children who actually need the job to pay their bills.
