My credit card was credited with an overpayment of $5,100 from my online company. I have been trying for 4 business days to get my money refunded and have been getting the run around. I have called the 1-800 several times and they have my calls logged in but no one can help me, i also called the Texas offices and i've been given other numbers to call. I even have spoken to one person named Chad and had my bank fax all required documents and he gave me the wrong phone number twice now, After 30 years of being a card holder and a good customer, i am done. They have lost my business forever, Kohl's is the place to go, they treat you great.

My saga began on 07/03/2012 I received a call from someone with a heavy accent from GE Capital looking for my payment which had been made on 6/19/2012 cashed electronically on 6/25/2012, advised them the payment had been made on check 4261 in the mount of $100.00, and so my nightmare begins, they DO NOT have the payment, so I call my bank I give them the check number and they say made out to JC Penney in the amount of $100.00 cashed on 6/25/2012, they give me a tracking number, I proceed to call back GE Capital, have to listen about 10 minutes to automated person ramble on about nothing I am interested in I just want to know what happened top the $100.00, I get yet another person with a heavy accent on the phone that advised me that they know nothing about my payment, bear in mind they have my $100.00 so I ask to speak with a supervisor named Jerry, he give me his fax number and says just have your bank fax me over the transmittal report, I call my bank bank and on Friday 7/6/2012 they send the transmittal report over to Jerry, no response on Friday, no response on Saturday, no response on Sunday, on Monday 7/9/2012 I call again, again I listen to 10 minutes of automation then I get yet another person on the phone who, you guessed it knows nothing about anything, they don't know where Jerry is and they give me to Jasmine, now once again I go over the entire story and she at least tried to help but as you might image she can't get answers, and she is a supervisor, now we move on to 7/11/2012 I call again and get yet another person that knows nothing so I kind of get mad and ask for a supervisor, I get Dottie on the phone, nasty, rude and not very nice, she says I can't help you and I can't switch you call over to Jasmine because our phone company doesn't work that way so I will go over to tell Jasmine and if she is not in I will leave a note on her desk, now it is 6:00 P.M. no one has called me back, I called the CEOP Ron Johnson, well no one can talk to Ron Johnson he doesn't do customer service so a young man named Chris called me back at about 2:00 and took the information and told me not to worry about it he was going to straighten it out with the hgihest management staff he could get ahold of, well now it is 6:00 and Chriss hasn't called me back, Dottie hasn't called me back, Jasmine hasn't called me back, no one has called me back, where is my $100.00, who has it and why doesn't anyone know what is going on, 45 years a faithful customer of JC Penney, never again and my question remaind where is my $100.00.

I applied online for a Sales job and went through the entire application only to find at the end that my answers to the personality profile or what ever you call it, said , I did not match the requirements for a job in that position. I have been in sales all my life for over 20 years and did very well. I don't understand this type of vetting of prospective employees. You use a stupid computer to decide whether the person is worthy to work in your business instead of a human being who can see and talk to that person , in person. I will not accept that I did not answer the questions satisfactorily to qualify to work in a Department store. With some of the employees I have seen in your stores, I wonder how they got hired. So, I wouldn't work for Penneys now if they did say they would hire me. I also hear about your policy of homosexual touting as a family lifstyle. That will stop me from shopping there any more. Maybe that is why your computer did not like my answers to the questions. Somewhere in there was some question that stopped my ap if it showed I was too family oriented. and so was not wanted in your company. I am so disappointed. That I could be turned down by a question not answered as you think it should be. There are many personalities in the world that don't think the same as those questions say they should. It is a shame that a good prospective employee can be discarded for some ethereal reason.sincerely, Grace

To The Board of Directors of JC Penny Corporation As long as your management pursues a social activist agenda the fortunes of your company will fail. Please turn your agenda back to family values. The company is losing a much larger customer base than the one it is currently promoting.

Like many other stores the everyday pricing "strategy" does nothing more than eliminate jobs. No coupons, no need for customer service. In the JCP I just left (due to hours cut) there are maybe half the original employees of when I started over a year ago. Ron Johnson does nothing more than make joblessness a bigger problem. America's favorite store? Not if we're all unemployed! And as far as the whole homosexual argument, I think its a sad sales tactic, which is exactly what it is but you all should just get over it. The bigger problem is the financial burden this company has put on many families trying to get by. I know people who were told one day in advance they no longer had a job or benefits. I lost my job by sneakier tactics. Instead of crying over your sexuality beliefs have some compassion for all the people Ron Johnson left jobless. Many who are at an age where finding another job will be almost impossible!

I am trying to e-mail jcp on line and cannot find a way to do it. It is about the interest rate they are charging. it is 26.99%. I called today, 7/9/12...maybe they will have a record of the call. But I called to see about getting the interest lowered and the guy on the phone said that they cannot. I am going to keep trying to contact jcp, but not much customer service that I can see.

I'm sorry James, it is a known fact that the managers at jcp lie for each other and cover for each other all the time,starting at the top. It's a sad company that's going under fast.

I am soooo disappointed in JCPenney. Decades, I have been a loyal customer. I was even willing to give this new pricing a chance and didn't care about how you advertised, but when I ran into a clich in your computer system and lost an order along with a gift card and no one was willing to reissue me another gift card, that sent me over the edge. Bad, bad, customer service. One tells me they will reissue, the other says I have to go to the store which is an hour from here. I guess the gift card was worth losing a customer to your corporation...

Fortunately I never saw the ads that showed the gay or lesbian couples, because I would have been disgusted by them. I do think, however, that those sale catalogs are a waste of money and paper. To have so few items shown on so many pages is a waste. I'm generally not interested in any of the items, and a big book like that will not entice me to go to the store to buy them. I just toss it in the recycling bin. The thing I am most unhappy about is this... Our local JCP is not a very big store, so I have relied on catalog shopping for years. I just went to the store yesterday to return an item I had ordered online, and I found out that the store no longer has a catalog department. They eliminated that department, so the sales clerks at the regular customer service areas have to do catalog orders, pick-ups and returns in addition to store sales. That means everybody waits in line longer! My return transaction took way too long because the clerk had trouble figuring out how to do it, and the poor customers behind me had to wait. If JCP is making these changes because of financial problems, it's only going to get worse because they are going to be losing a lot more customers.

I just wanted to point out that the people who are posting hateful messages are also the ones who sound borderline illiterate.

I applaude JCP for reaching out.. I am not gay and just cause JCP embracing all of their customers wont make me gay.

Mr. Penney- It was an HONOR to work for your family, sir. I pray that in my future endeavors I will be so lucky as to work for another company with equally high integrity and morals. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the opportunity to be a part of JC Penney, where everyday matterED. Ron Johnson- Ellen is a great spokesperson for JCP, but not because she is gay. Ellen has NEVER had to defend her lifestyle because people love her for her fun, outgoing, and creative personality! The only reason JCP is still in this battle is because JCP made it a battle. Stop forcing homosexuality on your consumer. You can't change everything about the way you do business and then throw yourself into a political battle with any expectation to win. Drop the campain and let Ellen do what she does best- connect with people. Ron, change is hard. I believe in your vision (even though I'm jobless and uninsured now thanks to it). I believe that you can pull this thing together and restore JCP's former glory, but not until you win your consumers back. I beg you, for the sake of a company I respect, let the battle go. You can come back to it later, but now is not the right time.

JC Penny in Castleton, Inidanapolis,IN has horrible customer service. Managers, cashiers , order pick-up department as well as loss prevention, have been incompetent and dead-ends. I would like to speak with the corporate office but I have been on hold for 55 mins now! I was accused of SHOPLIFTING before an employee noticed a pair of $17 shorts that I had tried on, hung on the "this does not fit rack" in the dressing room, that she had overlooked! Far be it from me to keep loss prevention from doing their job. I work for the police agency in my city and I am the one they call to get the real shoplifters arrested. After realizing that that they had their heads up their a**es, all I got was "Sorry ma'am". Really??! Sorry does not negate the embarrassment you caused me!! Aside from today's fiasco, I ordered a pair of women's pants online about 2 months ago, had them shipped to the store and ended up with a pair men's slippers! Incompetence does not begin to describe the customer service at this place. JCP just lost another costumer and will Castleton please step your game up, I never have this problem at Macy's.

HATE JCP AND EVERYTHING IT STANDS FOR IT WAS WRONG TO CUT COMMISSION IN THE SALON AND IN THE STORE , AFTER 18 YRS WITH JCP . COMMISSION WAS STOPPED, MANY OF THE GIRLS HAVE WORKED THERE LONGER THAN THAT. NEVER SEEN CHANGES LIKE THERE ARE NOW. ALL THE PAPER WORK , LIKE BEING BACK AT SCHOOL.... RIDICULOUS.

Penny farms (in Florida) was started by JC Penny when he saw his parents return back from the mission field penniless and he wanted to make sure every missionary like that had a haven to go to, till they died!! Looks like the values of the Penney's in the past have changed ..... I guess the same family can have bad apples too.

I've been shopping for comforters, wedding gifts, graduation gifts and furniture for our home. Each time I go back to JCP for their sales because I've always thought you have amazing sales plus incentives for more % off. I've been there dozens and dozens of times, I've said, NO WAY!!!! Call it a mental block, but I won't buy from Penney's with their marketing strategies. Penney's is killing itsself & I'm going to help it die! BTW: What happened to "Christian marriages?"

We closed our account yesterday and will no longer be shopping at Penney's. It has really been sad to see the changes that have gone on this year. I really hope that you get a new CEO in that understands the customer base that you have had for so many years. Also, advertising is meant to sell a product..not a lifestyle. Hello!!!
