I would like to thank the restaurant manager, Kevin Dyer, at the newly opened Bass Pro in Harlingen, Texas. It was a crowded time on the day after opening and the order my wife and I placed got lost in the shuffle and eventually arrived. Kevin came to our table and made our meal complimentary because of the mixup. The wait person, Alfonso, was serving his first table as a new employee and was very solicitous to our needs and projected an affable personality. All in all, the food was surprisingly tasty and well presented. Kudos to the corporate training program BPS provides their managers and service staff. We will be frequent customers.

I would like to express my disappointment in Bass Pro. I am usually a huge fan of Bass Pro and their affiliated businesses, but I feel the need to share how sad I am that Bass Pro is not honoring our country and its values by being open on Thanksgiving Day. I find it appalling that employees have to work on a day that is set aside as a special time to spend with family and friends. I visited with a manager of a Bass Pro store, and found that she too is very disappointed in the decision of Bass Pro to be open on this national holiday. She said that if patrons would not shop, the store would not find it profitable to be open on Thanksgiving Day. However, my counter is that if Bass Pro were not open, the public would not shop there! I know money is the driving force behind stores being open on holidays, but I think it is very sad that money takes precedence over values!

I visited the portage store with my grandson to see santa 11/8/2011 and i have to say that is the best santa i have ever seen in my 60 years of life. And i love your store.thanks

I got the sale flyer on Friday 11/4/2011 in the mail. There were some things I was going to purchase including some sale items. The Avia shoes were a great price and I figured that I would get a pair. Well I got to the Bolingbrook Illinois store early Saturday, 11/5/2011, only to find the shoes almost all gone. Naturally my size was no where to be seen. Now this AD said it was good until 11/23/2011. I spoke with an employee who told me that a truck load had arrived a week earlier and the sale was on since Monday 10/31/0011. I asked to see the manager and a lady finally came over asking me what it was I wanted. I asked how they could be out of shoes since I got the sales flyer just yesterday. She said something to the effect that I might be on the wrong mailing list because the sale started last Monday and I should get it corrected. Frustrated, I asked for a rain check on the shoes. She told me that there were no rain checks on sale items then asked if there was anything else she could do for me. She mentioned that there were other shoes on sale and I should check into them instead. That was definately the wrong thing to say. I politely said no thanks as others around me were experiencing the same frustrations with the shoes supposidly on sale and haveing no stock. Then she said "Just remember, I did try to help you.". Rael nice. I put back the $200.00 plus of merchandice I was planning on buying and went to see the store manager. Well guess what, both the manager and assistant store manager werr off Saturday 11/05/2011. I've been shopping with Bass Pro since the early 80's and because of this attitude I may never go back again even though I have family living less than a mile form you Springfield Missouri store. You can thank the floor manager for that.

Me and my dad went i to the bolling brock store with an ad to buy 2010 jon boat. Picked out a 2010. Just got the title and see the one we got was actually a 2008 that was in an ad for 395 not 795 for the 2010 we paid nice bait and switch after all the good service in the bass proshop department I was pissed to see tracker screw us with that one. Time to call the bbb.

First of all, this is not directly a complaint about Bass Pro, nor am I going to go into how much money I have spent over the years at their stores, this however is about Barnett Outdoors, LLC (Barnett Crossbows). I purchased a Buck Commander from Bass Pro and had a safety service issue with their bow. I have called their office three times, have left many voice mail messages and have yet to receive the courtesy of a return phone call. In addition, their Owner's Manual is about as usefull as an empty roll of toilette paper. This goes for their brief manual on the included scope. It is unfortunate that prior to the purchase of the bow I did not heed to all of the negative information that I reveived about the Barnett organization. This information was from friends and commercial businesses that are familiar with Barnett.

i loved the store in Montgomery ala. beautiful and excellent service.

I want to Thank Jim Osborne for his wonderful job helping me. There needs to be 20 more of Jim Osborne to help customers. Thank you

Bought two new Remington shotguns from the Garland, TX BassPro store, near Lake Ray Hubbard. We went in to purchase one 12 gauge Remington pump for us, for my wife and I to use/share, for trap. The salesman mentioned, why not buy two, one 12 gauge for you and a 20 guage for your wife. Hadn't thought of that, but, it was a good idea, and with the current rebate and price matching, we agreed. Both guns were delivered to us in sealed (taped close) Remington cartons. When we got home and inspected them both looked OK. Next day I checked the barrels on both. The 28 gauge was clean but, mine, the 12 gauge was filthy dirty with shot residue. I was shocked. Never purchased a firearm so dirty. Never ever even purchased a fouled barrel "new" firearm. If mine (12 gauge) was new, why didn't the factory clean the barrel, after test firing, before shipping to BassPro. I suspect someone purchased the shotgun, previously, from BassPro shot if for a short time and brought it back for some reason, uncleaned for credit or exchange; now a used gun?? I know these shotguns are very relaiable but, just the thought of this store selling me a possibly used and definitely very dirty shotgun, for new price, just isn't right. I would have expected more from a pro, like BassPro.

I HAVE BEEN SHOPPING BASS PRO NOW FOR 23 YEARS WITH SATISFACTION EVERY TIME I BUY SOMETHING FROM BASS PRO SHOPS. THEY HAVE GREAT PRODUCTS AND THE STAFF IS VERY HELPFUL AND NICE. I SEND ALL MY FRIENDS TO BASS PRO SHOPS FOR ALL THERE FISHING AND HUNTING NEEDS. WE LOVE YOU BASS PRO THANK YOU FOR 23 YEARS OF FINE SERVICE....

Today I was shoping for a new bow and I was intrested in purchasing a Diamond Outlaw. So I called Bass Pro Shops in Garland TX and they told me that they had 2 left. So I drove to Garland and found the bow I wanted and took it up to the archery counter and asked the sales person (Randy) if I could shoot it before I bought it. He said, rudely, no that it was against store police. I told him that buying a bow is like buying a car your gonna want to test drive it first. He said that they can not allow me to shoot it. So I left BPS and drove to Cabelas in Allen TX. The sales man there allowed me to shoot 3 different models of bow before I setteled on the Outlaw. I have been a BPS customer for a long time and have spent thousands with them. They just lost a customer and the nice folks at Cabelas gained a good customer. I have purchased many bows over the years and have never purchased one from a store that wouldn't let me shoot one before I bought it. In fact Bass Pro is the only place that would not allow me to shoot a bow. Well BPS your sorry customer service and bad store policy have lost you another customer.

I went to the Seiverville, Tn shop today. I went to buy a rifle scope and the sales person had to be smarter to become an idiot. I did not buy the scope and left $800 in a buggy as you have discontinued the military discount except for a few days a month. I drove 95 miles from my home in Franklin, NC and was very disappointed. The last time I went there for a sale item, it was not in stock. I will never go to a Bass Pro Shop again. The several thousand I have spent will now go elsewhere. Quit sending the ads to me mail box as I now just trash them without reading the ads as they are false. You are very inconsiderate toward vets. I WILL NEVER DARKEN YOU STORE AGAIN!

WAS IN THE DES MOINES IOWA RESTAURANT AND RECIEVED TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE O AUGUST 17, 2011 HAVE TRIED TO WORK WITH ONE THE THE ASSISTANT MANAGERS THERE AND HAVE NOT BEEN MAILED CUPONS THAT WERE PROMISED ME. WOULD LIKE TO VISIT WITH YOU FURTHER TO EXPLAIN IN DETAL WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR FAMILY THAT DAY. IT RUINED OUR SUPPER AND AS OF NOW WE WOULD NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN. THREE FAMILIES WERE TREATD BADLY AND OUR FOOD ORDERS WERE MESSED UP AND THE WAITRESS SMELLED. HAVE EMAIL JSCHAPMAN REGARDING THIS ISSUE AND AM STILL WAITING FOR CUPONS TO ARRIVE. SO THIS TIME I CALLED THE RETAIL STORE MGR AND HE IS SUPPOSED CHECK IT OUT TO SEE WHO DROPPED THE BALL. I HAVE HIM MY EAMIL ADDRESS SO WE WILL SEE HOW IT GETS HANDLED FROM HERE. Pitbulls are to violent to let in a family orientated store. They are bred for hate and to fight. They all deserve a bullet. Thanks, Concerned Parent

This review isn't about Bass Pro; it is about the vacation package that is sold. I love this store, and I don't beleive Bass Pro is aware of the quality of the travel agent it represents. The agency books in its "Perferred hotels" which are the lowest of the low. Reviews of these hotels read "nasty, musty, dirty, urine stained, pubic hair blood stains on sheets, plumbing problems, no hot water, etc." Worse of all, you find out which low rate hotel that the agency booked for you when you arrive at the welcome center the day of your arrival. I hope that the right person at Bass Pro reads this, researches the matter, and either corrects this or disassociates itself with this type of agency. However, we are probably going lose 200 dollars because we refuse to stay in one of these "Perferred hotels." The old saying is true= "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!" PS. The 1 star does not reflect on Bass Pro; it reflects the quality of the vacation package offered at Bass Pro.

Having call the Bolingbrook Illinois store to inquire about a holster I was transferred to Hunting, No one answered the phone and I was again asked who I was holding for telling the person got me they are busy up there. that was the third time in one day I tried to call They offered to have a call back to me I refused as I know what they do up there. They ignore you when you are at the counter for checkout . They carryon conversations about nothing and You have inadequate sales people Im going to Gandre Mountian or Cabelas from now on this place is shit

I was an avid Pro Bass customer for quite a few years. However, when I visit the Pro Bass store on Macon Rd in Memphis, TN, it is the most unfriendly store I have been in. The last time I was there it was the last straw. I was treated as though I was not wanted in the store. I don't think you are aware of this behavior. This store is the worst in your chain. Management is below standard, particularly on the evening shift. Trying to get good service is impossible. Being treated as valued customer is non-existent. I have spent a lot of money at this store. However, I wish you would remove my membership, and stop sending me your fliers.

As a former employee of the garland tx store all i can say is watch what you eat because its either going to be undercooked or flat out raw...and god only know how many rats and mice have peed and played in it...they refuse to do anything about the varmit problem because of their bottom line....also if you plan on buying anything their credit card is a swindle and youll get screwed along with harassed....if your dumb enough to buy a boat their its already screwed up before you see it....guarantee youll have a full due bill and your boat has something wrong with it they dont care they just want it out the door so it come back and they can forge on the warranty work for corporate to make more money...they damage more customer boats than any place known whether by "accident" or they just ram it with a forklift or tractor or other boat and act surprised when you come get it....soon filing lawsuit for unsafe and unhealthy work conditions along with slander, harassment, forced to not take a lunch/break and theft/abuse by management....if any former employee would like to be a whistle blower and join in on what is soon to be a huge class action lawsuit feel free to email me at suebasspro@hotmail.com
