Complaint against firing Hampton Auto Zone employee for thwarting a robbery and possibly saving life of his fellow employee

I can't believe what I heard on the news tonight, and hope it's wrong, Autozone fired a young employee who went to his truck to get his registered weapon to ward off a robbery taking place in his place of employment. He very well may have saved the life of fellow employee who was forced at gunpoint to get money from safe!!!! You have lost my business!!!!

Turn in you business license

Your employee saves your company 2k in cash and the managers life and you fire him. Right before thanksgiving no less? You morons ought to be out of business. The man is a hero and you all look like idiots for firing him when he stopped a robbery. I will never buy from such an un-american company like yourselves ever again! Seriously, you look like idiots....

Boycott

Since Autozone has fired an employee for stopping an armed robbery and possibly saving the managers life, I am boycotting Autozone for the foreseeable future.

Timming chain set

The 8mm timming chain set that you sell for the 2000 mazda mpv van does not fit. The ome chain is much wider and the durlast chain will not fit the cams. You offer no cams to match your timming chain set. So the product is worthless.

I recently purchased a water pump, timing belt, battery, brake pads, brake rotors, brake hoses, brake calipers and a radiator from the Autozone on Westport Road in Louisville, KY. It was store number 3596, 9202 Westport Road. One grey shirt employee with the name, William Gross was so fabulous! Not only did he make me laugh and feel good about my purchase, he also educated me on what needed to be bought to properly complete my big job. Not to mention him selling more than what I came in for which I am not sure if I should be complementing him for that or not? :) Anyway, I am a lifetime customer simply because of this single employee!

I went to one of your store in Brooklyn ny there address is 575 Utica Brooklyn NY. And I left with a Bad taste in my mouth, I brought a Duralast Golf Battery. And it is too big for the car I brought it for, I pull up in the parking lot and I ask one of your workers that i met out side to help me with a battery. He turn to me and said i must go inside and ask someone from inside. I ask why he could not help me seeing that he is right here. When i get inside i get to understand he is the manager for the store. So that why he could not of help me . That kind of work is not for him. After i was told that your system is down from another worker and I must return it another day and after few words back and fort your workers was very disrespectful cursing dirty words and my experience was trible, I would not be going back there I go to Stuass, I am free to spend my money where ever I trues

Today @ AutoZone on 714 W. Marshall Ave in Longview Texas. I with my 6 year old son was returning a batterty to your store. I only had it for 2 months. I info your salesman about the bad batterty. See when I purchassed my new batterty 2 months ago the salesman said if I bring in the old batterty I would not be charged the cord charge and I was charged. I felt like I had been screwed and told the saleman today about it and was upset about it. So,your saleman told me we screwed you then and we"ll keep screwing you now.Told me he was not going to exchange my batterty. It took everything in me not to put my hands on your saleman. Then he called the police on me and I sat there until they came. They got there told the officer what happened and your salesman attitude changed. The officer told your salesman that he was your and made the exchange. My grandfather , my father, now me only dill with your company only for car parts. So this is how you take care of your customer.

Currently, I am angry at Auto Zones throughout the nation because,I purchased a battery in the Rockford, Il. store located on 11th Street. After two months of use I no longer needed the battery. I purchased a 8yr. warranty and I also got one of the best batteries possible for my Volvo. I was not aware that the battery could not be exchanged instead I took the battery back to the store and the cashier then told me that the $160.00 battery was still in working order and asked me why I wanted to get rid of the battery. I told the cashier that the car had been in an accident and I no longer needed the battery. They said, sorry, but you cannot return a used battery. Well, I am trying to sell the battery for $50-$70 or whatever I can get from the battery, but, no one will buy it because they say it is used. I tried to get on the ebay, and craiglist to sell the battery and it takes to much time and I have not been able to get the time to follow through with the sale, or auction yet. So, today three months later, I still cannot find anyone to give me a decent offer for my battery. One person offered me $25-and the junk ward wanted to give me $5.00.. Thanks a lot,but no thanks I am not going to just donate my money to Autozone or give a pre-Xmas gift who wants to give me a chariable donation just because I could not return a perfect battery back to where I purchased. Can you help me?

If I could give 20 stars to the Auto Zone located at 1401 32nd Street in Port Huron Township Michigan, I would. They are the epitome of what "going above and beyond" is. While everything else in my world seems to be crumbling, they took care of me as if I was their one and only concern, yet also gave the same care and attention to every customer that walked through the doors. There will never be words to express the gratitude I have for them as employees, a company, or as human beings. Past experiences here have always been great, but at such a low moment in my life, they gave me hope and such a level of caring I have never experienced before from any company. I will be forever grateful and obviously a customer for life. I will also recommend them to any person needing superior customer service from an auto parts store. Craig, Scott, and Joni should be commended for their incredible value to this company. My sincerest gratitude to all.

We ggive the Auto Zone Store in Aurora, Ill. no stars. We purchased brake parts for a 2006 Kia Sedona and they were wrong calipers. Needless to say we took it to Kia and it cost ua $1131.00 to have our brakes properly fixed. This vehicle is a handicap vehicle. My husbands mobility lift for his mobility scooter is in this. We were informed we could of been in an accident and killed for this mistake

Ny Nephew was fired from your store in Jacksonville arkansas for doing the right thing and I want you to give him his job back due to the fact that the real reason he was terminated is because you had three National Guardsmen working at your store and all three were let go because the mgr.was tired of having to do their job for when the Guardsmen had to be active you had to cover it. If I remember correctly that is illegal and will be persued by me and my family. He worked for you for almost eight years and did nothing worthy of being terminated, so I am asking Autozone to give him his job back.He has two children and a wife to support and trying to serve his country. This is not the only website I will be posting this on so someone from Autozone needs to contact me!

very bad customer service every time i go in there everyone is in the back talking you sit around and wait its a joke .canoga park ca store.

On the 6th of Oct. I drove into autozone in Arab, Al. to buy a new battery for my wifes 09 Taurus. The man was nice and I bought the best one you sell and your junky computers kept charging me for a $12.00 core charge when it was in the car for you when they put in the new one. He tryed several times before it came up right and then he said for me to go up to check out counter and he would check me out and he could not get on it because another employee was loged on to it and that employee said he had not been own it all day and he called the assistant manager over and over rode it but when it ran my check through it it tore my check in half. I was running late to go on a mini vacation and the original man went out to start swapping out the batterys. The manager came over and in front of everyone in the store said my check bounced and ran to the door to tell the man to stop changing the battery with out asking me was they another way I wanted to pay for it. And I hollered I would pay Cash for it and started slapping the money down on the counter. I have never had a check to bounce or turned down by a computer and they was more money in my checking account than that manager makes in 6 Months or more. I was embarased by the store manager in front of all the people and you need to fire his but!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Marion nc store has the poorest customer service and rude employees I have ever encountered. While looking for a radiator hose for my tractor the employee lead me to the back where the various hoses were stored/and walked off, I then had to go find him to get the one I wanted off the top shelve. Later I found this was the wrong hose so I returned it to the store only to be made to wait while 2 employees come by every few minutes to say we will be with you in a minute in a rude manner. Needless to say your competition will get all my business from now on.

Today I called the Auto Zone Located in Columbus GA on Buena Vista Rd. I was inquiring about a charge that I had noticed on my receipt. The Associate Gary who answered phone decided that instead of providing great customer service and addressing my concerns that he would hang up on me. I am very upset about this being that I choose to give my business to you guys instead of the competition which is right next door and I was treated so poor after spending my hard earned money. Just wanted to say I will think twice next time before I return to any of your stores.

I give all. Of the store poor scores in Wilmington and Leland North Carolina. They are rude and not professional at all. Specially the one on market street.

I would like to recognize the young lady manager of your Waldorf MD store. We had car trouble on our way home to NC and she was very gracious in helping us identify the problem and getting us directions to a dealership along our route home. Our gar is being repaired as we speak and we THANK her for her help. She is certainly dedicated to the customers that visit her store.

hey,i just wanted to let u know,that ur store in troy missouri is the worst atozone,that i have ever been too,i always used to use u all but that store stopped me,they r the rudiest,talks to customers very badly.and i have told everyone,i know to never go back,i told them what they did and now they havent went backeither,i have been going to auto since,i was 30 nd iam 65 now,i have always loved ur stores,but not now,i just wanted to let u all know ur manager and staff suck big time..........
