I figured what the heck I know its gone but drove back. I went up to the yong lady who had packed my bags(LAUREN) and informed her of my stupid mistake. Seems Lauren found the money and turned it into her supervisor. I was so excited after thanking her and her supervisor I tried to offer her a few dollars (just to grab a cup of coffee) and refused. we both work for s&s for many years, and now our life has changed, since my husband has been suspended , pending termination (for 5 months now) for taking 8 minutes to long on a break, along with the entire night crew. These people who we work for have no morals as these night crew employees pack out most of the store ,so the rest of the managers can sit on there computer and figure out the budget of how many hours they can cut. About 5 year ago a seafood manager and a deli manager bought a bottle of booze (on company time) went outside in the store parking lot with two minors(under age children) and drank until the two girls had to call their parents to pick them up. That's stealing company time and not to mention giving 2 underage GIRLS alcohol. I can't even think what went threw their parents minds. The matter is that the girls still kept their jobs and the seafood guy got placed in another store (his wife was a District Manager) and the deli manager is no longer a deli manager and has to travel far to her new store. My point is you have to know someone to keep your job . It also happened another time, the produce manager and his son were punching each other out for shifts( not minutes) and one of them had to be fired so the son took the boot and years later the same son is a now a manager, how do you get fired for stealing hours and get a job at the same company, you have to know the human resource guy, who used to be a produce supervisor. I hope someone important reads this because it all happened in district 41 in New York.

To the President C.E.O. of Corporate Office of Stop & Shop: I have been a long time customer of 5 years at your store in Union, N.J. In the past 5 years, I have been harrassed, discriminated by your cashiers, and managers. In addition, I was pushed in my stomach by your one black manager, bonnie. I am 62 years old and I have been a legal secretary since I have been 19 years old. I will not tolerate any more abuse of harrassment, discrimination, and assault and battery. I know reputable persons including the FBI, which one is my cousin and I will take legal action is one more incedent is done to me in any manner, shape or form...We,your customers pay your salary...If it were not for us, the customers, you would not be in business...I am also telling everyone I know, regarding all this harrassment going on...I am no longer going to be a customer, There are cheaper food stores, and they do not abuse their customers like you do. If I do go into your store, in the future, If one more person, cashier, customer, manager harrasses me in any form, and endangering my health and welfare, I am going to take legal action immediately and sue you for billions. Stop and Shop #560 in Smithtown, particularly the produce department, is a Gulag. The manager is a rude psychopath (to put it mildly) and workers are covertly encouraged, if not by default forced to work through their lunch hours. The union is in bed with the company. Stop & Shop are fascists who engage in psychological warfare against their employees to extract total submission.

My husband and I have been shopping at 55 Oak Street in Glastonbury, CT. We are extremely disgusted with the overall quality of their food. On several occasions we bought Guidas and Garelick brand milk that was good for over a week, yet the milk was completed spoiled. Also, their produce seems old. The lettuce goes bad within a few days and cucumbers we bought were rotted. This store is completely dirty and apparently they don't restock their departments with fresh items. The store manager doesn't seem to care considering all we received was an apology. Stop n shop has completely lost our business. We will be shopping with their competitor who will provide us with good customer service and quality food we deserve as consumers.

I am unable to get any kind of customer service. The operators are rude. I was told that I had to call a different number from one operator to get customer service and that number was disconnected. I called in to see if Stop and Shop had a particular food product. I have not been able to get an answer. All they want to know is my information. I would never get a shopping card or go to a Stop & Shop after the ordeal I went through. I don't think any of the operators know what customer service is. SHAME ON YOU.

I just wanted to thank your Assistant Manager at the Stop and Shop in Southing,Ct. on Queen Street.I was in the store and I had purchased 3 Lobsters that were on sale and was looking forward to having them when I came home and enjoy them with a nice steak with my husband, after running around all day that was my last stop. Well, neddless to say, I got home and I was looking for my steak marinate that I had gotten and didn't find it in my bags so I looked in my bag and it wasn't there, so I looked on my receipt and it wasn't on there, but then I saw that I was chaged double for my lobsters, which I wouldn't have unless I looked to find the marinate, anyway to make a long story short, called the store in regards to this. I spoke to the store Manager, her name is Connie, don't know her last name,but I would like you to know that she was very accomadating to me and when out of her way because i was on the other side of town and was looking forward to a good dinner. Some times your employees do not get enough recognition for their jobs that they do. But it was a greatly appreciated to me for what she did for me. Thank You for having such good employees. RUDE CASHIERS WHO TALKS BACK & IS DOING EVERYTHING BUT WORKING AT THE FRONT OF THE STORES IN PRIME TIME WHEN PEOPLE ARE WAITING!! DON'T YOU GET IT YET MANAGEMENT?!! Well whats there to say except that Stop & Shop has no respect for the its employees and enjoys engaging in unfair business practices and violating labor laws. Don't believe me? Well it happened to me, I was a loyal local 338 member for 6 years and I was coming home from work when I was struck by a car in a hit and run and as a result I had to go on disability to recieve the medical attention I needed. How am I treated when Im ready to come back to work, I am told by my union representive and Stop & Shop that my benefits and pay have been taken away and that if I want a job I would have to be hired as a new hire for minimum wage. There reasoning simply because I didn't fill out a application for Stop & Shop when everyone else from King Kullen was signing over. Why didn't I fill out the paper work, well because I was instructed by Stop & Shop's own personal not to fill out a application until I was off of disability and ready to return to work. So just because I was following orders from Stop & Shop themselves I have to suffer and was told by my union representive that it was irrelvant if I had a witness to the conversation me and Stop & Shop's personal had in regard to me filling out a application. This is clearly a violation of the Federal Family Medical act which states that a employee is guaranteed the right to reutn to their old position or a position that several exact qualities as their former position, such as working hours, pay schedule and payment amounts. The employer cannot reduce wages or remove benefits from a worker returning to the job following medical leave. So please do the moral right thing for the employees of Stop & Shop and please boycott Stop & Shop and Ahold, Inc as well as Local Union 338 because what is the point of a local union if they don't defend there worker's rights! "Its not slander if its Fact!"

I just went to stop and shop on kings highway in New Bedford Ma. They closed the deli with myself and 3 other people waiting for service. I went and told management and was told that the deli was supposed to close at 9:00. The manager went and talked to the employees and then told me that they were shorthanded and the people working were already on overtime. Sorry deli closed- next time i shop it will be at Shaws or Marketbasket not there. They just lost 500 a month in my business.

A few weeks ago I was at the Stop & Shop, Cromwell CT. Normally I examine ALL expiration dates, but was not feeling well and placed two items into my cart without checking. Upon returning home and opening one of the products to eat, I noticed it did not taste right. Sure enough, it expired previous month and was still on the shelf. Another item had an expiration date from Sept. 2011 !!!! I returned products to the store and got refunded. I told the manager they needed to check the dates. He assured me he would. I even contacted one of the companies to let them know their expired food was still for sale. Last night I returned to store and guess what??? It is still there. They did not pull the expired food.

I have been a long time customer of Stop and Shop. I live in Danbury CT and was harassed by an employee there at the Lake Avenue store. His name is Tom Olenski and he is the porter there. He has followed me around the store and verbally harassed me and stalked me. He even prevented me from entering the store one day by putting his body in my way so that I could not enter the store. I cannot shop in that store anymore out of fear for my safety. Then I go to another store in New Milford, when I visit a friend who resides there. I was verbally assaulted and harassed and followed up and down the aisles by a woman there who is a SAMPLER for the store and her name is Linda. I later on found out that Tom and Linda are dating each other. I cannot understand why these 2 people have taken up the crusade to harass me. I would have to assume that it is because I was once engaged to Tom. I guess Linda has decided to make her own demands on me to give back a gift that I received from Tom. She told me that I was a thief and accused me of stealing from Tom, which is not true. I have never stolen anything in my entire life and I don't plan on it anytime soon. I was ill yesterday due to complications from Breast Cancer and to have this woman, Linda, harass me, follow me and verbally attack me INSIDE the store is just too much for me to bear. All of this was done in front of customer’s presence as there were several people standing next to me when I got verbally assaulted. I would have spoken to the store manager in reference to it but because of my surgical procedure and not feeling well, I chose not to. However, I have an appointment today, June 15, 2012 to speak to him in reference to this. I would assume that it is not company policy to allow such behaviors from employees and outside vendors within the confines of the stores. I intend to have police action taken against both of them. As a result of this harassment, I will NEVER shop in another Stop and Shop again in fear for my safety from these two nuts.

You need to train your managers on how to speak to the general public...being unprofessional is not acceptable!

Stop and Shop Pharmacy Shelton CT Was told to go here for free antibiotic and ear drops. I have no insurance. Amanda (she has dyed-blonde, crunchy hair and LONG neon fingernails). Couldn't be bothered to ask if S&S accepts AAA for discounts on meds. 20 minute wait with NO where to sit except a bench by the front entrance with the carts. (Not ideal if your ear is swollen and throbbing.) I wait the 20 minutes... $60. OUCH! I leave. Accident in the parking lot. Crushed my antibiotics. Go in to see if they can help. Tall man pharmacist (I failed to catch his name) said sure no problem. I then asked again about AAA. And he said of course they do. I told him that Amanda wouldn't even ask. He told me I should have asked. (I DID!!!!) He defended her saying she was new. TOO BAD. DO YOUR JOB! And some snotty fool in the back of the pharmacy area starts in yelling at me. Her name is Erin. (She has red hair and thick black rim glasses.) Pharmacist says rudely for her to stop. Now he's being cranky. They re-bill me. I could've saved $20 right off the top if Amanda weren't lazy. THEN they wouldn't refund my card. I had to take cash. So now, I also have to go to the bank. In the meantime, my fever spiked. I was visibly shaking and that idiot pharmacist had the gall to be rude as I was about to thank him for his help. STOP AND SHOP SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have NEVER been treated so rude in my LIFE! Brandon who is a Pharmacy Intern thinks he is the Head Pharmacist At the Quincy Ma location instead of just an Intern. I have severe Painc attacks along with extreme OCD and I am battling a variety of health problems which makes my anxiety level all the worse. I ALWAYS fill my script for my anxiety meds a few days early because of my OCD I panic when I only have a few of my pills left. And especially this weekend where it's the holiday and the pharmacy has different hours. I called and asked when my perscription would be ready to be picked up. He told me I could not pick it up until the 31st day. Keep in mind this is a 30 day supply. I said you have no idea what your talking about. He said well thats what is going to happen. I told him I would be getting all my perscriptions transfered and will be calling corporate to report him. I transfered to another pharmacy and will be picking up my perscription today. Because of this little Twit I won't be shopping at Stop n Shop anymore either. I will give my business to Roache Brothers or Shaws from now on and make sure my family does the same!

I have worked in the deli in the north white plains stop and shop for 4 years. It is by far the WORST job I have ever had. 110% due to the MANAGERS and their lack of knowledge on what REALLY happens on the sales floor. I am so happy I will be starting a new job in June.

Stop and shop boasts often how their major concern is customer service. but behind the scenes and like every other corporation their only concern is their projected profit margin. We need to sell jimmy fun tickets or SNS gets charged. WHY doesnt SNS just match what the customers donate in their own donations? that way they dont worry about selling to few tickets. Employees are just PAYROLL DOLLARS something that our store, no matter how much money we make, we just don't seem to have enough of. AND secondly, we claim our target demographic is mothers and families with children on budgets. but if it was, our flyers would have things like ORGANIC and LOCAL and HEALTHY but instead we always have PERDUE and OREO and BREAD advertised to the poor simple people.
