VERY disappointed in Target's cutting ties with Paula Deen. They made a very bad decision, because they'll lose a lot of customers who think the media was on a witch hunt. Hope Target's sales PLUMMET in the 3rd Qtr and going forward....

Dear Target co. My Family & I were very disappointed to find that your store dropped Paula Dean for something she said 27 years ago. we feel this is wrong & will no longer shop at your stores. Also we feel if you are going to hold this against her because of the racial slur, then we feel you need to pull all rap music & movies that have racial slurs in them. THEN & ONLY THEN WOULD WE SHOP AT YOUR STORE AGAIN.

This is my first (and I hope my last) corporate letter. You made a very poor knee jerk reaction to a situation that never should have been one. So the knee-jerkers are jerks. Or is that not politically correct to say? Barbara

Have anyone notice that most Targets are now Liquor store and even sale small bottles, What ever happen to the family store concept. and most of the store are next to Universitys like Cal State Monterey in Marina. Let stop shopping.

Shame on Target for your treatment of Paula Dean. I will never go into your store again, either in the United States or in Canada. "You with out SIN throw the first stone" Take a good look at yourself!!!!

I've been a Target fan ever since they opened a store in my city. I buy a lot from them. I even own stock in Target. But I can't believe what they did to Paula Deen. Who is Target that they think they are so much better than a person who may have made a mistake? I'm sure Target has made lots of mistakes. I used to love this store. I don't know what to think of them now other than some dummy made a sad decision. And the rest of the executive team bought into this stupid decision. I noticed their stock went down today. Maybe this is a forerunner of things to come with Target.

It's not the greatest ad I've ever seen, but I am baffled by the internet buzz and reviews citing it as a sign of post-America. It's colorful, upbeat and as for understanding the words; I've rocked along for years to songs I never understood the lyrics to. Before a hot dog was a classic American comfort food it was a German sausage. That is the beauty of the American ideal. Chill folks. Ula, ula, ula; don't know what it means, but it's kinda catchy - Ula!

I will no longer shop at any of your stores since you have decided to drop Paula Deen over something that happened 32 years ago.

I am A young professional who just moved and I have been looking forward to purchasing Paula Deen kitchen sets. After hearing that target dropped Puala Deen I am very unpleased with this decision. I honestly thought more of target than Walmart but no I guess target has never done anything that they regret I will not be buying my kitchenware or bathroom sets from target or walmart now because they choose to make decisions with there ego instead of letting the free market say so.

Will not shop any longer at Target due to your crucifying Paula Deen for a statement made decades ago. People make mistakes and grow and change over time. She is a lovely woman and her products are first rate. It is Target who is rotten. You've lost a huge customer.

I will never shop at target again for the way you treated Paul Deen

I am very disappointed that Target has joined the pack of wild dogs to attack Paula Deen while she is at a weak point in her life. Can't anyone stand up and have the backbone to do what's humane and compassionate. I will NOT be shopping at Target stores or any other store or sponsor that have dropped Paula.

Will miss shopping at Target. No Paula Deen, no purchases from me. While in the car on the way to my local Target I heard on the radio about Paula Deen being dropped. So I passed Target and went to my local Meijer.

I really thought you would stay strong and not cave to the outrageous political pressure...but you didn't! I am so ashamed of Target and embarrassed for you all. Have you never heard "He who lives in a glass house, shouldn't throw stones?" So, you are so righteous in your own life that you can condemn someone for something said 37 years ago? Well if you can drop Paula, then I can drop you! You are a bunch of self righteous hypocrites!

I am so incredible DISAPPOINTED to see that Target has announced it is dropping Paula Deen products from their stores!!! Explain to me why is it that you will carry disgusting filthy music with vulgar language promoting racial slurs (as you so explained in dropping Paula Deen) but you’re more than willing to sell that kind of racially slurred music that reeks of hate and loathing of others (often women), BUT a woman who admits HONESTLY and says she used the "n word" years ago is deemed horrible, crucified and vilified and then has her products removed from your store shelves without a second chance. What does this say about your corporation’s moral integrity? You have truly FAILED my expectations! Well guess what, my moral compass says I am choosing NOT to give you a second chance either and I’m taking my business elsewhere! I truly expected more from your company than to handle this issue the way you have, but you’ve made your decision and now I’ll make mine. Treat others as you wish to be treated? What goes around, comes around ... time will tell. A former Target customer.

I am shocked that you would stop carrying Paula Deen products - this woman does not deserve what is happening. A slip of the tongue years ago caused this silly fiasco. I will stop shopping at all Targets now. Paula Deen in the beginning fed hundreds of people and color had nothing to do with it. My family is bi-racial and beautiful people who know we all make mistakes. Shame on you!
