Worst experience i've ever experienced in the working world. Managers do not know how to train or run the business period. would not recommend eating here and definitely would not recommend working here. absolutely horrible.

This store is awful. Management is very unprofessional. They sit in the office and talk non stop about the employees. They curse awful. There is one that is just a shift leader now and then and she touches other employees in an inappropriate manner. It is just a ridiculous place to work. There's just no reason for managers to behave this way. They do not train new people but yet expect them to be able to do the job. This place is a joke.

This is the worst place I have EVER worked. The management is ridiculous and the store is disgusting. I see the drive thru people cussing every time an order is placed. I know restaurants are hard places to work at. I have been a server for 15 years. I had to walk out of that place. Horrible service, cold food, and disgusting management.

Went to Steak 'n Shake on Alpine Ave in Grand Rapids like every day this week and ordered the same shake every time. Literally less than half of the time was the shake correctly made. I like to give places the benefit of the doubt since I work in food as well, but this is just pathetic. If a shake comes with hot fudge and costs more because of it, tell me why 4/7 shakes were missing it.

My family and I waited for almost 40 minutes for 3 milkshakes in Iowa. Unbelievable! There is something seriously wrong with the system. This is not a one time issue--it has occurred several times with not only us but with other families as well.

steak and shake off of Reno in okc, ok. Female mangers rather talk to each other then make food, not cook food all the way threw, cooking food with their hair down and getting into food, and French fries are horrible here. Used to be my favorite place to eat now I don't want to come back

On this day October 1, 2014 I went to steak and shake in Topeka Kansas for lunch I ordered a Royal burger with an over easy egg they came back with a fried egg I asked for an over medium eggs and it was a problem it takes two seconds to make it over medium egg. Our waitress came out and said also I will see what I can do to bring a container then she comes back in with the over medium eggs and was like why had a twisting arm to get it but here you go not very professional

Miamisburg Ohio Dayton Mall location has employees doing Heroin behind dumpsters while working. Unfair treatment of minor employees. Has employees Serving, Hosting, Cashiers, Milk Shake Makers, Dish Washers, Food Prep and busing tables. Also side work to boot!! I frequent this establishment often and have seen managers yelling at minors for small things and somethings not even the severs fault but the kitchens fault and then a sever who usually is a minor be punished by getting terrible sections. One waitress I know never received the breaks required by law for children 16 in this store.

The restaurant on 303 in brunswick, oh is awful. Waited in line for almost 30 minutes for 3 milkshakes. I would've have just left but was blocked in by other waiting cars. On a separate day, Ordered cheeseburgers to get home to find plain hamburgers with no cheese or dressings. But they of course had to charge their extra fees for everything. On my last and final visit, got home to pretty much eat a bun with lettuce, the child's cheeseburger had more meat than a single hamburger, and when I called to talk to a manager, the phone is never answered. I hope this place goes out of business! Never going there again

After waiting forever for "Steak and Shake" in the Hampton Roads area, the wait was HORRIBLE. Please excuse the fact the resturant is still new to the area and the line to order from drive-thru is wrapped around the building. But, silly me, wanted a hot dog and fries, and the rest of the order for family. What a horrible nasty mess, please give me my money back and train your employees the old fashion way as to how to handle customers, (customer service) how to cook food (fresh, warm, properly made) and how to do something that is so old fashion (smile). Close the door and don't reopen until you get it right.

I called in a complaint on Sept 6, 2014 regarding your Austell, GA order 3 single steak burgers w/fries all were made wrong. With a side of thousand island in which it was tampered with someone added hot spices pepper!! Problem I don't do hot things!! Called the corporate office and NO ONE HAS RETURNED MY CALL As of Sept 16., 2014 .

Me and my friend go to steak and shake every week for the pizza burger, and it is now discontinued.why?it needs to be brought back it was amazing, and I wont go back unless I get a pizza burger.

My family and I went to the Victorville Steak and Shake tonight. We were seated right away but our server did not come to our table nor did anyone ask us about our drinks for 30 minutes. Then after our order was finally taken, it was another 30 minutes and we still had not received our food and our server never refilled our drinks. I went to the front and asked to speak to the manager and was told he was busy. I waited, he never came to speak to me. I went back to our table and a few minutes later we were served our food. The server never apologized and the manager never spoke to us.

A friend's mother has worked at a Steak n Shake for two years or better. She was fired today. They will not give her a reason why. She did her job correctly. Never missed a day of work. But to be terminated with no reason backing it is a strange way of running a business.

Steak and Shake on Ireland Road, South Bend, IN - Service has become very unsatisfactory. Shakes come out to table after meals rec'd. Slow service in general. Manager walks around with shirt half tucked in and half out. This restaurant used to be one of the best. Last three times in kept hoping it would get better. Will travel to another location, this was needs some serious management changes as well as those serving guests.

me and my other half ate at steak and shake last night..we ordered to taco salads along with other thing ...1st there was a big black bug crawling on the table behind us ...the waiter slapped and killed it with his hand after we brought it to his attention...was very gross...then they brought out our taco salads ..the meat was ice cold...we called the waiter over and took the salad back but guess we upset someone returning them ...because the meat was picked off the taco salad and warmed and someone dumped hot sauce on it ......withing 2 bites of it when it was returned to use supposedly a new taco ..my throat started to close as i am not allowed hot sauces ....we paid for our meal but they lost our business

I went to eat breakfast mind you 10min til 11am on Sun Aug 3 and @ 11:21a the cooks tell the waiter there is no biscuits. I called the Mgr over and he tried to blame the waiter...I was sitting there over 25min and you say your outta biscuits then proceed to blame the waiter! Bad par on Mgr and cook staff...Not the waiters fault...Never again will I go to that one in Frisco TX!!! Now I see why it wasn't busy...

Went to the Steak and Shake By Downtown Disney in Orlando Fl. I believe Buena Vista Blvd. We got seated, sat for 20 min. Not one person even so much as made eye contact with us. No one asked for an order or drinks or anything. I felt as though I was invisable. People that came in after us got waited on. No reason why we didn't. We ended up getting up and walking out. Told the manager about the service, all he said was that we can seat you now. We had already been seated for 20 min. Very poor service. Went to Red Robin for a burger. Excellent service, Excellent food, we were even offered a take along refill on our drinks. Will be back to Red Robin, will never eat at Steak and Shake again!!!!! Don't even deserve the one star rating!!!

i have watched my family be torn apart because of an affair between your management team. both managers are married and started and continue to have an affair in your Muncie store.Love the way you run your team.

I eat at the Steak n Shake in Southaven MS 3 to 5 times per week. I find the service to be excellent and management quick to resolve any problem. The staff is always friendly. This would be an excellent location to study to help understand how to resolve problems elsewhere.
